It's all rather depressing. I read an article yesterday where Ben Davies spoke about needing 2 seasons to start to feel fully settled and how he is really beginning to feel part of the squad now. Made my skin crawl. I guess he doesn't fancy a move to Sheffield Utd .

Tav, Goldson, Cantwell, Dessers and Lammers, Lawrence need gone

I will be pleasantly surprised if any team buys either of them two defenders. Tavs goalscoring and assists should have a price tag though ..just not crazy money . Imo Goldson will be going nowhere , don't see anyone taking him. Maybe Cantwell has become confused about what team gave his faltering career a restart. If any player chucks the toys out the pram it's time to go. On the opposite view of that , I personally feel Todd was left out team too often or played out of position and his head went down in general.

I think if tav & goldson stay the fans are going to turn & phil will be out of the door very soon.

Players need to realise there no individual bigger than the club

Clement has kinda made a fool of himself yet again... by using that "end of a cycle" comment only now to backtrack & he's gonna put his faith in them AGAIN....just like all the predecessors did and where are they now?? And 33 is generally old for a footballer but if it's a striker, centre back, centre mid, basicaly any position it's past the prime. However, wingers & full backs... It's very old! They reach their peaks and break down earlier than all other positions as they have ti do a lot more running hetting up & down the park & require pace or else they get skinned/ leave big gaps. He's 33 in october ffs. It's the equivelent of going into a season with a 35 36 37yo main striker or your most creative midfielder. Is that really good enough for a club like Rangers full stop? Actually would that even be good enough for a club like Hearts or Aberdeen? But is it even less acceptable, in what is considered by many to be the most important season in our history? Considering celtic have just equalled our trophy records and are going to not only equal our record 55 league title number but by doing so, overtake our general trophy numbers records. They will become the most sucessfull club not us anymore. Is that sending out a message of we are gonna go all out and battle for & give it absolutely everything this season to make sure we are still number 1 when it comes to that??? Nah... 🤔 it certainly does not! It says (shoulder shrug)🫤 its not that important, big deal... its just another season of no significance. Thats the message the board and management as im not exempting Clement from this. He's had a long time now to recognise what we all can see. And all he needs to do is go watch past old firms & must wins from previous seasons to see a pattern emerging & the same old culprits. So there's no excuses. He could have pushed this as last season was drawing to a close that Tavernier & Goldson must be replaced! Regardless of whether they actually go or not. Those HAD to have been the priorities & just because they stay doesn't mean they have to play! Put Sterling in at RB. It's just their presence alone within the dressing room/ training ground that's the problem, they put out defeatest negative energy that rubs off onto all new arrivals & young players. Its a disease that spreads from them. As long as their presence is there its also there. We badly needed a genuinely new & fresh squad with no baggage. It's not hard to do, if there's a will, there's a way! And its not like its a suddenly new development, its been known about (by anyone with a brain who thinks logically and not emotionally) since Before even Gio arrived & certainly since he got the sack. As people were questioning if Beale kept them around as an old pals act. He was treating them like mates & equals, not like he was the boss. So the board as well as Clement's got no excuse. I could understand the logic of going again with a 33yo full back captain who had been here for his 9th season & won 8 titles out the 9, won the last 4 titles in a row & had several trebles & doubles under his belt. You could argue regardless of his age, those high standards & winning mentality will rub off onto the incoming players & that example & positive energy will be good for the team. He doesn't have to play every game at his age. But its the compete opposite! Not only with the losers mentality & small trophy count but hell be playing EVERY game too! If winning breeds winning then so does losing breed losing.

Yeah Owen, Todd is a talented player and seems very much like a personality issue at play. He's set himself up, rightly or wrongly, as a target from all sides of the media and fans, both home grown and opposing. Should buckle down and focus on the job at hand. Still trying to digest what Dessers has reportedly said 🤣

Shame about Tav, if he could defend he would have been worth 50 M in his prime and played for his country, but I fear for this team if he and Goldilocks are here this season.

Dude we are skint, you can either support what we have, or do you want to destroy the club trying to chase them? personally i would rather give the gaffer a couple years to build unity in the squad we have instead of bankrupting the club, We cannot afford to keep sacking managers and always rebuilding, Goldson and Tav are going nowhere..

Face the facts… we are not winning a thing next season. Losing our best club in Scotland title to them. All the players rangers have released for free have all had other teams coming in and willing to spend millions on them but rangers turned them down… tav was supposed to bring us back to the spfl and then replaced for better because tav isn’t good enough for the spfl. He’s Scottish championship level and below, if tav is staying then he can stay on the reserve bench till his contract expires. Tav is our worst player on our team… but yet gets privileged by our board.. tav has been the rangers captain for a lot longer than the Celtic captain has been the Celtic captain.. and the Celtic captain is on more than treble of what tav has won all his rangers career.. and tav gets put in the hall of fame… this rangers team won 55 and did nothing with it.. Went to a Europe final… won millions.. done nothing with it.. rangers have done well in Europe for the past 5 seasons that they should have a better squad than they do.. where is all that money rangers have won? In the pockets and bank accounts of the board while charging fans on minimal wage to pay thousands of pounds worth of season tickets, clothes, museums, go to their restaurants.. instead of taking money out of the boards own pockets who clearly have the money to help rangers out but expect the fans to do everything instead.

4 lads. Rangers reveiw. Heart n hand. NO ONE got the bottle to ask the manager directly " who is the club captain next season ? " That's what we all want to know. Yet the accrediated fan media avoids the biggest most important question. Pathetic.
