Super interesting build you've cooked up, i'll give this a try. I think Janna is currently in such a good space with items and choices that multiple styles and build paths are supported easily. The Heal/Shield builds are also incredibly strong, Ardent/Staff is crazy good on her as well, you can kinda fit into any style needed to tailor the game if you really want to min/max and have supportive patterns to fall back on if needed the Q tips aa, yes the good stuff PS: pinned this in Janna mains discord
I played 4 games of Janna, my build was more of the team's shield slut 4 games, died like once in every one, ganked every lane, and LOST 3 of them, because bad teams after trying this build however I won 3 in a row, thank you for sharing the fruit of knowledge
tried this build / strategy and went like 5/3/25 in my draft game and got my first S on janna. I’ve struggled with her for ages (compared to karma, soraka etc and other enchanter supports), my smolder loved me LOL, I wanted to learn bc I heard she’s really strong this season. Ty for the guide!!
Thank you for this!! I haven’t played since last season and I wasn’t sure of how I should be playing Janna now. I knew she was a better lane bully but I was still building the same items and build that I was last season.
I was an adc main and got tired of being decent in lane then getting stomped by jg or mid in midgame and having no infulence on games. So I picked up Janna and went from P3 to EM4 with 93% winrate. Nice guide man
Instant subscribe. Great video , detailed and explaining the actual gameplay, gonna try it for sure! I think this build is kinda situational as if you face 2-3 tankier champs it will become useless, am I right? Also, how would you deal with assassin champs, would you go for Frozen Heart or just zhonya?
What about bloodsong? Did you try it? The expose damage increase should be insane as well. Coupled with the fact that Janna constantly uses abilities and weaves in auto attacks.
just first timed janna after this guide. holy what a stomp xD 25 mejais stacks are easy :s and those roams man... idk for the last 8 years i took a detour around janna but this is braindead easy xD
Generally im going to Imperial Mandate, Moonstone, Mejai(if i have lots of stack), and Redemption and then Shurelia. Because with the new season everyone hit too much so in my opinion we need to health from Moonstone and Redemption.
I kinda let go of Janna after the moonstone changes, but before that i always went comet. and now that I see its back and it works mid/late game I'm def gonna go back to my girl.
Have you tried Ingenious Hunter rune with this build? It's all the rage with build path that contains a lot of active items and I think it can help you proc Zak'zak and Shurelya more
I tried out this build and have a lot of success with it! However i struggle against assassins such as Rengar jgl that just one shot me :c should i adjust my build somehow to have more survivability?
interesting build but i feel like there are games where moonstone, transcendence, resolve 2nd is just better like when you cant roam alot cause enemy has disengagy mids like lb for example. look at cinarad#EUW opgg, this guy goes for that strategy all the time.
I thank you man. Truly ty, we can see you are passionate about your Janna and the game, it's hyping me up t play her (tryhard her). And it's cool to hear you saying that yuo are less teammates reliant cuz you have damages for yourself, it's actually been a huge struggle for me to find balance between "im supp but i want to play for myself since coordination is harder" and "im supp so i have to play and itemize for my team". How do you manage to navigate in this hard question, if i may ?
Question if you want a lot of movement speed why not go for second rune inspiration and the boots that will give you 10+ movespeed no matter what boots you buy making swiftys so much more op
"I hate that supports have to build vigilant wardstone" I can relate as a Smite support player (Smite the game, not the summ). I don't play much LoL anymore but I play Smite, and you have to build full tank items only in support or you're trolling. It's unfun, I hate it so much
Amazing build, I always liked Janna but every time I tried to play her I felt like a shield bot and that I wasn't really contributing anything. With this build Janna is a beast, and best part is enemies rarely respect her kill lane potential.
imo moonstone wont be bad at all but that is if ur going for a more support “only shield ur adc” build but theres more value being aggro and having more AP/movement speed. flowing water is not a bad replacement because of the MS it gives u when u E someone but ardent is technically more better because of 8% MS. buttttt with that being said, shryelias technically has more AP and already has 8% MS like ardent sooo mejai is technically just better, more AP. if u had to pick replacing mejais, go staff tbh, if 3 or more AD champs who in ur team then ig adrent but staff better because Janna rn is more like a mage.
I’m a diamond Janna otp and not him but… situational items can be mikaels for cc, redemption for area heal or staff of flowing water if u want some ap + movement speed and got some ap champs in ur team
@@Goatt69 thanks! say I'm in a low elo situation where I have to solo carry and do damage but low income, and I can't keep mejais stacks, is dawncore a good late game item? if no what other items can I get?
Never forget janna is an OTP champion. If you are not gonna invest hours upon hours into learning her you might as well not lose 20 lp for your team and pick anything else
