Not being rewarded for all your kills might have something to do with killing the same people multiple times after they are respawned. I'm not 100% certain, but I've some memory of some patch notes a long time ago saying something like that.

This is a change respawn made a few seasons ago. This was implemented when I was new to the game so I remember it well. Killing a player more than once will not give you any reward. This was to combat Watson crypto lifeline storm cheaters from farming KP using crypto revive and queue sniping to get into the same game as each other.

You get more points for your kills based on your placement. Needless to say aping everything even if you're the best team in the lobby may not be worth it.

yep that's true. Remember it is capped at 6, after that you lose 50% of the value of every kill.

I have a question I made it to gold before the split and didn’t get the badge ? Do I get it after the season ends or what ?

yeah badges are given after the season ends, normally once the new season drops.

Or have all your points gone because of the huge 6-9man issue , I mean we all wanted rp back and everyone goes to 6man , honestly i see the ranked system going back 2 LP

lol, yeah there are a lot of components. The simple thing to remember is that kills matter but so do placements. Once you get to a certain rank (plat/diamond) placement alone isn't enough and therefor you have to get KP (Kills, Assists, participation). The value of that KP increases based on your placement. That's basically how the points work. You can more or less ignore the rest if it's confusing you. hope that helps.
