There was a huge opportunity lost with the keyboard thingies. Imagine if they were like clicky pens. Where you push and it catches and then you push again for the release. Still would have been bummed for ALL of the duplicates, but less so.

I agree however if you think about the fact that these are fidget toys designed for mainly kids who would then use them at school…..i bet teachers that allow their students to use fidget toys are glad they dont click

I have a theory. Manufacturers tend to make a bunch of the same thing at once right? And I'm fairly certain that the workers dump them all into one spot in the bin without mixing them around. And quite possibly, the worker that picks your items takes them from the bin from one area just because it's faster. I could be wrong, of course. Or it's just like someone else said that the manufacturer only ships certain ones to certain areas so people keep buying more trying to get the whole set. 🤷‍♀️

@@tibicenlinnei4014 When mystery boxes blew up a couple years ago, it was definitely normalizing it and I'm seeing it be a similar trend again. It's a bit worrying because a lot of people don't realize it's gambling (pay for something you may not get your money in return for.) I just hope the younger audiences have someone to tell them this...

Unfortunetly a lot of time manufacturers will not send the whole set to the same region. It gets split up and sent elsewhere. It is all a money game.

i have to say that the quieter fidget toys for use in classrooms is a plus to avoid distracting the other students. At least in my opinion, in that way the other kids don't do "I want to play with it!' We have slight issues at home when the step daughter is doing her fidget thing while being read to, and her brother comes and wants to play with the same items....fighting ensues at times/\.

You can get series 1 on eBay, I saw several listings for new unopened sets of 2 packs for $19.95 US on there. I only did a cursory check, but it is an idea if you still want to get series 1.

I went to Walmart for the first time in a year, and I got three bars. Was actually kind of excited to see the iconic keyboard in person. Also got the levers and clicky dials. Combined them all together for a noisy and obnoxious desk toy, and I'm having a great time. This definitely wouldn't be worth the $3.50 USD each if I got duplicates though. With blind bags, I always just buy 3 at most and then call it no matter what I end up getting.

When I was preschool teaching and fidget toys became a tool, we needed them to be silent so they were less distracting for the rest of the class. They made such a difference for some students during group and story times, marvellous! There were some weird rubbery tube things that were intensely satisfying even though I didn’t need them.😀🤔

Yay! Finally a comment about the subscriber count, your comment is literally the first I have ever seen. Not even when she changed it from 80 million to 6.9 billion did I see anyone comment. I always assumed that people either didn't notice or didn't care enough to comment, but it's like one of those Easter eggs in the movies that only the superfans or really attentive people notice. My mum is a sewing master, she made me a fidget/fine motor toy, by sewing Buttons and button holes, fabric of different textures and zips as well as a section with eyelets and a shoe lace, all in one like blanket thing. As a kid that loved to touch all the different fabrics it was amazing.

I watch a dumpster diver who gives some of the purposely ruined fabrics clothing to a neighbor to make blankets like that from. Then donates them to local nursing homes for dementia patients.

I just got several of these today! Annnnnd... we hated them! The toddler played with them for about 2 mins before one broke and he was bored with the others. We got the one with the keyboard buttons and the single ball. This brand also makes cubes and a squeeze spinner thing. The spinner also broke in 5 mins. Sigh...

I'm a bit uncomfortable with the combination of sensory toys and mystery blind boxes. Blind boxes and loot boxes are a form of gambling which is really pernicious and hard to resist, particularly for those of us who are neurodivergent. I don't think it's okay.

I’m a year late, but I just got some of these from a Secret Santa coworker who knows I love fidget toys. I got one of the pens and a box of the dice. You’re absolutely right with this comment. I love blind bags and, as I stated above, I love fidget toys. This brand has me buying them left and right. I’ve bought 20 new ones since receiving my gift since Sunday. They really did hook my neurodivergent, OCD self right in with these. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is honestly why I try to stay as far away as possible from such mystery packages - there is too much of a gamble note with it and my collector heart would not be able to take it :'D Though I do have to admit, it's quite funny to see people who are suckers for punishment...
