yall don't understand the crazy power of the pistol shrimp cause it isn't just the sound that kills prey, when snapping their claw it creates an air bubble that ejects from their claw at around 60 mph (96 kph) and reach temperatures hotter than THE SURFACE OF THE SUN, and I absolutely love them for that because for some reason this little shrimp literally has the power of the sun in it's hands.
@@TsukiCoveah yes; despite being on this planet for 4.5 billion years and fighting some of the most deadly primordial predators, the Arnies archnemesis is still mailmen and squirrels…..
Interesting video Good thing I won’t mess with elephant seals also elephant seals appeared on happy feet Also for next week video I got this idea Top breathtaking migrations on earth Grey whale Humpback whale Cape buffalo Snow geese Pacific salmon Great hammerhead Blue wildebeest Emperor penguins
a honorable mention should be the worlds loneliest whale who regularly sings at 150-160 decibels, also sperm whales echolocation can actually kill things with there sound alone just like the pistol shrimp but the prey the hunt (giant and colossal squids) are 2 big and also resistant for it to kill them but it still stuns them but if a human or a smaller animal were 2 big in the direct line of fire of a sperm whales echolocation it could literally liquify your insides with a focused blast or cause a blood clot/pulmonary embolism leading to serious medical complications or straight up death.
Yeah it's really scary, you need to be careful if you swim with them because they have so much power. It must be terrifying for the squid hearing that sound get louder and louder in the depths
One animal that could've been included in this video is the Moluccan Cockatoo (also known as the Salmon-Crested Cockatoo). It's native to the southern Moluccas, and it's also a very popular pet in aviculture. However, the Moluccan Cockatoo is a very loud bird, as they're known to produce screams and shrieks measuring over 125 decibels.
I am curious about where wolves, coyotes, and hyenas would rank. Would any of them make the top hundred? Thanks for another excellent, thought-provoking video!
Honorable mentions that could make the lists are Gibbons, the Indri lemur, other bellbirds, Screaming Piha, Corncake, Cranes, Peacock, Argus pheasant, Loons, Eurasian Bittern.
The Māori language is similar to Japanese where almost each syllable/sound is written like consonant then vowel ie ka, wi, te, ru - with a couple of sounds that don't follow this rule, wha and nga mostly. With the macron it elongates the sound so Kākāpō is said more like kah-kah-poh.
This is why a A Quiet Place couldn't be possible. Humans would've noticed their weakness by paying attention to sounds in nature and the sounds our technology makes, even if we can't hear it. That's why I said it's the same goof that was in most other alien movies. War of the World's, Signs, and A Quiet Place. With a Quiet Place the aliens have two things to worry about: A watery planet and the most noisy one known.
I bet most of these on the list could compete with Owls or any night owl that goes *HOOOOOO* so very late! They can cause massive disturbances but that's them being owls, right?? Heh
