The Time Of Fever hands down agree with you. I can't remember the last time tension was built that well in a bl show. If we can't get a full season 3, at least a movie or a couple of special episodes because that story and those characters deserve a better ending.

Im glad you mentioned "Last Twilight". I thought the serie was good, but the ending was horrible. It was like all the journey was for nothing because at the end he recovered his view. Meanwhile in I hear the sunspot show how he accepted his reality and move on with his disability without a miracle. Showing you can live like that and it isn't something temporary.

I would add ‘My Stand-In’ to the top 3.

Agree 100%, Love No Long Beans was a masterpiece, The chemistry between SailubPon is something else. I felt so lucky to watch this series in realtime. I need 100 more series with them. Can't wait for AlanJeff in Pitbabe S2. Pls change give them more and more series.

Meeting at the blossom. So good. I continue to rewatch. I love these historical chinese type dramas. I bet they didnt expect how fan based they would become. It was short. You expect chinese to be 40 or 60 episodes. It's in my top 10 for 2024. The actors did well.. They had to be funny, do action, be sad, pain, be in love. It was quite exciting to watch young actors.

Yay! A review video! I still haven't seen Rebound and Meet You at the Blossom, but all the other I have seen. I'm kinda surprised you didn't put My Stand-In with this group. Anyways, I definitely agree with you on Seoul blues. I've been enjoying Sukfilm's shows and love the acting and chemistry between the characters. Can't wait to see what they have next. I LOVED Century of Love and This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans, though I'd probably put 4 Minutes above them.

So glad you made a wrap-up video again - apart from the wonderful snarky comments (much loved) I also get time to go through my own thoughts instead of just watching on my own. And as for acting and plots, frankly I hated most shows lately. I don't enjoy childlike behaviour in a show with adult NC scenes, the slowness of comprehension in Takara's Treasure was driving me crazy, I had more conversations with my screen than I can justify as normal. I hate misogyny - whether it's presented in an actual female character (I'm looking at you Sukfilm, please deal with that!) or a smaller, timid male character that equally shows all traits of misogyny and is the reason I don't like "straight" shows as I hate the presentation of women. So as for what was good for me personally... 4 Minutes. The BTS crew (script, director, edit, lights) who actually knew their jobs, and the actors who went full in. The first 8 episodes of My Stand-in. I'll be the arse and not forgive them for the ending. 😜😫 High hopes for Jack & Joker. 🤞 And there's a good chance The On1y One will top the list. 🤞🤞 I had to skip Century of Love and Time of Fever from your list as I haven't finished or seen them yet. If anyone is actually reading all of my rambling (thank you!!!) if I did not like Unintentional Love Story will ToF not be for me either or is it different enough to give it a go? ❤

What really did it for me (outside of everything you said) about Time of Fever is that they gave us all 6 episodes at once. My goodness did that feel Good!! More of That Please!!!

The only one I haven't watched is The Time of Fever, but I will rectify that asap. I agree with all the comments on the other shows. The ones I did not finish were SunsetXVibes, Love Sea, and Rebound. I agree that Takara's Treasure, MLMU & The Trainee totally wasted their potential, both with their actors and the storylines. I loved 4Minutes, Century of Love, Meet You At The Blossom, Long Beans, and I Hear The Sunspot.

Some of these are really good others are not, i can not full agree with the ranking.

I honestly feel bad for Mosbank. They have phenomenal chemistry but their series aren't giving. And lookaew prooved that she's not a versatile actor in sunset vibes. After love sea I'm no longer interested in boy next world because bossnoeul are literally playing the same characters. Another wasted ship with great potential. After watching basfuaiz I'm expecting jobbump though I'm a sucker for miobump. I know it's random so was basfuaiz

Excellent analysis and understanding of the issues that beset today's BL industry. Lots of producers need to get their act together or risk loosing ever more sophisticated audiences. Well done.

Ahh I was soo waiting for your review. Here are my thoughts on some of them: 1. Sunset Vibes: Dropped even before Khun Dad 💪 2. My love mix up: For everyone who argued that we didn't like the series because we were comparing it with the jp adaptation. No dear! you cant defend it. Sorry, It was bad. 3. The trainee: The only thing I liked about this series was P'Judy. I swear if i see another series with Off being rude and Gun crying. I will break my screen. Stop it already! 😒 4. The Rebound: I was more interested in the story of the gangster and Q. Also, Frank being a borderline creepy stalker. It was frustrating to watch. 5. Love Sea: Dropped after they moved from the island to the city 6. Knock knock boys: Surprisingly entertaining 7. Meet you at the blossom: Although had loopholes, I will love this series despite being the first uncensored wuxia BL. 8. I hear the sunspot: The plot with the girl Maya felt a bit rushed and couldn't connect to the main story. 9. Long Beans: Wanted more Metas JJ (another second lead syndrome again) 10. The time of fever won't be my favourite like you because Why why why ?😭😭😭😭 it had to end. Why leave me with this feeling of wanting even more. My favourite 4 minutes and Century of Love 🤩 because these two made me forget anything that was going on and just think about them.

Seriously most Thai bl series dont have a solid storyline, they made some good series this year which i can actually count and that's it. Imagine watching young royals and heartstopper then you have thai bls, makes me wonder if they're telling a story or just make making us watch people. Don't get me started on gmmtv series, their series seems like it's made to be in one universe, you'll watch one and you get to see similar scenes in other series and they don't upgrade in anyway, just waiting for FirstKhao cos they're the only ones that can sell me anything, and I'll buy into it. I think they should switch things up sometimes with their pairs, most of their ships have chemistry off screen than onscreen, why not make some pairs act with others but they still maintain their partners. Like in moonlight chicken, we had first and mix and dat was so good, i think they also have hidden talents but they keep focusing on the popular ones..

You didn't mention My Stand-In and Wandee Goodday. For me the best series list is 1. My Stand-In and 4 minutes ( tie for no.1) 2. Wandee Goodday and Century of love ( in term production value Century of love felt short, the special effects wear not that up but the acting, chemistry and plots made it up.) 3. Meet you at the blossoms 4. This love doesn't have long beans Worst: My love mixed up,Trainee, Love sea, SunsetxVibes, knock Knock boys N.P I haven't watched the Japanese and Korean ones yet.

I wanted to like My Love MixUp so much and it started well, but I felt disengaged as it went on . It also doesn't help that Kieta Hatsukoi is amazing and still one of my fave bls. I was really enjoying Century of Love but we are still waiting for subs for like ep 3 on youtube, we are suffering!

As I said repeatedly 2024 ain't for gmmtv. Idk who the duck are their target audiences. They have the ability to make 4minutes a vanilla ice cream. Sukfilm bls are triggering my last nerves like can they give us a different storyline? The seme is basically korean emraan hashmi. Change2561 is making me a company stan ngl. After tldhlb I'm watching affair and I'm genuinely enjoying it. Lookmheesonya are quite benzgarfield coded.

Finally someone talked about takaras treasure. Taisin charcter first feel good but as time pass by it feels so boring. They could have end it in 6 or 7 ep. Dropped my love mix-up, sunsetxvibes and love sea, off+gun in the trainee were like a side couple to bahmee’s story what a waste of gun’s talents

Meet me at the blossoms Honestly happy of the end and 4 minutes are fighting for their number 3 spot in my heart. I have to wait for the finale tomorrow to make my final decision. “Love has no long beans” didn’t do it for me, I stopped watching at episode 2. Maybe I could revisit it but who knows.

That was pretty spot on overview. My top three are 4 minutes ( no. 1 due to cinematography, it was such a visual treat, a sleek tv show), Century of Love (more chemistry then in a laboratory) and The time of fever ( storytelling, angst, chemistry... it all works). I hope Heart Killers will improve GMMTV offering in 2024 ( just no timeskips please, that is such a lazy writing trope).

As usual I LOVE YOUR COMMENTARY. I haven't watched your top 2 but I'll watch them soon. I loved century of love and I agree with you 100% with Gemini fourth in my love mix up, I stopped half way. I also need gmmtv to start giving off gun some better shows. They did not me so well and need shows of that caliber.

This love doesn't have long beans: I haven't watched it. I had dropped "Pit Babe" and ain't that connected with SailubPon. But I might give this a chance. 1. The time of fever: IT WAS SO GOOD. I was really intrigued by their relationship in "Unintentional love story". So, this one was a must watch for me. And I really want to see their relationship progress, hugs, kisses, I love you's and dates. I NEED "UNINTENTIONAL LOVE STORY" SEASON TWO.

Omg finally someone mentioned how bad that 'Khun Dad' phrase was. I felt I was the only one who felt that way, I was confused who told em that it was a good idea, whenever bank said that i started to fast forward, the second hand embarrassment was over the roof in that.

I've watched TLDHLB 3 times. If someone told me Sailubpon was real, I'd believe it. Their chemistry is amazing! I also enjoyed Century of Love and 4 Minutes. I absolutely love Jesbible!! I also loved Wandee Good Day and Seoul Blues.

Some of your negative comments were a little surprising and there are a few series I have yet to watch. Some are difficult to find 'outside' their main channel. Limited funds make multiple subscriptions impossible. I keep moaning that OffGun need a decent script! Need to try and watch Time of Fever again. My two favourites so far are: Century of Love which was so well done by everyone with Daou and Offroad totally shining in their roles. I Hear The Sunspot. Like you I would have loved a bit more than that final hug but such a good story with two great MLs. Thanks for a great roundup BLFE.

I agree that "4 Minutes" was chaotic. In my case, though, the incoherent plot made me disinterested in the series. I watched it until the end, but I have no idea how to make sense of it.

The Century of Love and Time of Fever were the only two I genuinely liked. I did watch 4minutes but found it too confusing and a bit boring to watch. I have yet to watch Sunspot, and I've dropped all the others. We've been so spoiled by fantastic BLs like Unknown and My Stand In that those badly written shows and weak actors just don’t do it for me anymore. Like you I found the boy/girl couple more interesting than Fourth and Gemini's characters in that remake, but I still couldn’t muster the patience to watch that childish show to the end.

My Love Mixup was such a snore-fest. I couldn't finish it. 4 Minutes was good but I somehow expected a fantastical plot. A Time of Fever is the best BL I have seen this year! Miles ahead of other releases.

What a Great video! I would put 4 minutes lower on the list and bump up Takara treasure a bit higher. I found him endearing (think of Yoh from my personal weatherman) My top 3 were Meet you at the blossom, I hear the sunspot, and Time of fever.

In the mdl they changed the number of episodes for the The whisperer series from 10 to 9 and in ep 9 everything in hanging without any conclusions why did they waste a series like this? Any updates regarding the Season 2 of I feel you linger in the air since someone (in YT comment) informed me the actors are not interested in doing the series anymore

I feel like the only consistently good agencies lately are Change and BOC. BOC just proved itself again with 4minutes, and I can’t wait to see what Change has in store. On the other hand, it’s really disappointing how others are ruining couples with bad scripts. Still crying for OffGun and Mosbank.

I've dropped Sunset Vibes, Love Sea and MLMU all up to max episode 5. I only finished watching The Trainee because of Off. But the story was chaos for me. The Rebound would slide up the rankings for me as well as Takara's Treasure. I actually liked that I could actually watch basketball on The Rebound. And even though it couldn't decide which direction the series was going in until halfway through, I liked it. Unfortunately, I had too high expectations at 4 minutes. The acting was great, but after episode 5 the narrative style fell apart for me. TLDHLB was well done but I liked the second couple more and it was good but not mega outstanding for me. Century of Love I thought was really good until the last episode. The last episode cost it the highest rating for me. But I really liked Daou as a young grandpa. Terrific. Time of Fever is on my waiting list. I want to enjoy The On1y One to the end first. :)

As usual you offered such a good review, I agree wit you in most of cases. With Japanese series it is hit or miss. They are either excellent or boring. Most recent drama that I liked before I Hear The Sunspot was At 25:00 in Akasaka, except the part in last episode (visit to production studio) that if I could I would tear it away with my teeth. Backround music was excellent. Time of fever was such a delight to watch, we definitely need the season 3 to conclude. Those kisses we saw were one of the finest out there.

They've never had erotic chemistry, but I'm like you, I thought the hetero couple was much better. MyatB: Hm, well, the whole thing didn't convince me and I'm surprised that you agreed with the Wuxia part, even though you criticize it so much in BOW. It wasn't that much better here either. Top5: I'm sorry, LnlB wasn't for me because I still think that this ship doesn't work for me. I can't understand at all what you're so excited about. Since I can't watch ToF in Central Europe, 5-3 are in 1st-3rd place for me. In reverse order. 4 Minutes was just great and IhtS was one of the best manga broadcasts this year for me. But 4th and 5th for me are definitely TT and CL, which you didn't like so much.

I was sooooo disappointed in My Love Mix Up. Gemini and Fourth had such natural chemistry and acting in MSP and MLC. Where did it go? I think 4 Minutes would be my top choice of the ones you named, I loved not always knowing what was going on and discussing theories. TLDHLB and Century of Love were also very enjoyable. Love Sea I think would have been better if it was FortPeat’s first series together. But since it was LITA 2.0 it was underwhelming. NC scenes were no joke though. I have not watched Time of Fever yet, but I guess I will need to now. Our tastes are similar so I’m sure I’ll like it.

I finish binge watching 4Minutes 2days ago. And i must to admit,coming for Bible but got bias wrecked by Fuaiz😄 His acting improve so much and he def nail the role as villain in this series. Before i watch it,i see so many comment said that their storyline is confusing. But i dont find it confusing at all,if they read the description of this series they gonna understand over all storyline. But ig what makes them confuse is the time line. Because the time line jump pretty fast if u dont pay attention. Summary of this series is,every one of them had the second chance,wether is to be with ur loved one or revenge your enemy. But for tonkla and korn,their second chance is when they both in their last breath and choose to not "wake up" again so they can be together forever which is they choose death rather than life.. The second chance for Dome is when he discharge from hospital and go home to his Phi (Tonkla) The second chance for Title is when he beat up Great. As for Nan (the one who help Tyme got the evidence),her second chance is when she expossed the cargo company that Great father had. And for Great,his second chance is actually show in eps 1-5 (if im not wrong). The eps 6 is how the world surround him actually going,his life. He got shoot by Tonkla,Title dead because Tonkla kill him,Nan is dead bcause SaMarn kill her and Tyme grandma is killed by the general. So eps 6 is the start of "The Real Life" Honestly,this is the first time i watch Thai BL after The Sign ended😅 Agree with Time of Fever,OMG i love love love it. I literally lost my words for this series. My jaws are on the floor with their intense kissing scene,i blush in how their little secret date in the bookstore,i bawl my eyes on their separated...its checklist on everything i want in BL show except for short eps😔 I read so many review on how good Love doesnt have long beans. I think you review was very good even for series i enjoyed and you give criticism. I found Cosmetic playlover very good because it shows a mature relationship with a work environment. If we talking about overall Time of Fever is the best. The rest of the list even the ones that i like i have some issues except this "drama" (it's actually a movie split).

In Knock Knick, I felt the Peak character was not only written terribly, but , worse, acted and directed terribly. Peak is such a loser. And the poor actor didn't improve it one bit. Awful.

I have been following your videos regularly (which is mostly almost perfect) but seeing 'This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans' at the 2nd place in this list from YOUR point of view was surprising and disappointing, can you explain a bit more on your thoughts on why you gave it that place other than what you have mentioned above

wow... I declare you're my soul sister!!! Seriously you nailed it for me. I thought I was going to be alone in my opinion of series like Sunset x Vibes (this one was the biggest disappointment overall), My love Mix up (pls, pls, stop putting them in shorts!!), or The Trainee (what was with that actress from the het couple? she could not be any more annoying!!) all of which I stopped watching after just few episodes I was so bored!!

For me I only have time to watch Thai BLs, that being said, I totally agree with your ranking. I might have put "My Love My Mix up" as dead last. After watching Gemini and Fourth in "Moonlight Chicken", as a side couple, they were superb. This juvenile high school drama turned me off to them. "Sunset x Vibes" was so stupid and badly acted. No where near as good as "Big Dragon". Some of these actors need to study their scripts better and consider if the proposed series will help them or bring them down. Absolutely loved "Century of Love".

I would love to watch a series with Sailub and nut now that would be hot Sailub and Pon are good but Sailub and nuts chemistry is off then chart good 😘

I put episode 4 on repeat😂❤ My love Mixup is very childish, and germini and fourth are too old.. for school roles...same with we are...they wasted time and was just going around in circle.. pond & win shd do something else Rebound was sad , peen doesn't act at all. He doesn't show no expression at... Trainee was good but they messed it up with time skip.. and there wasn't any chemistry this time... Tankara Treasure was just confusing and boring... Love Sea was just a sensual nc scene.. the story and seconds couple was over played.. Cosmetic play lover was bearable.. not fantastic... Knock knock boys was annoying no reasonable storyline and become cold at the end... Seoul blues was Great... Well written and great acting... Great musicals.. I hear the Sunspot... Was okay... Nice acting❤ but they didn't show enough skinship or chemistry... 4 minutes was the best and thrilling... Century of Love was good and straight forward and it ended well... No overly played comics or drama!!! This love has no long Beans was great .. I only wish bens and Garfield got more screen time.. Overall perfect acting delivery and chemistry...

I refuse to watch a bad OffGun series not after NotMe they have the ability to give them a great storyline

The time of fever hit the right spot. The intimate scene was just so incredible. I loved it and kept wanting more of those scenes. Hope to see them again in another season or new series 😍🤞🏻

Gemini Forth had to fight against windmills. The story was basically too lame to be adapted. You can’t make gold out of mediocrity! That’s my basic problem with Japanese bl‘s. They are great or rubbish. The over the top acting and the exaggerations are mostly annoying. But maybe that’s just my opinion.
