My favorite way to beat the BMW M3 GTR final boss is to buy a mustang, download a mod that adds Razor's mustang vynil, and proceed to make an exact replica of his mustang that he used against you in the tutorial. Fully upgrade it, add junkman if you want but not required, and obliterate Razor in every race. It's like a display of dominance, beating him in the number 1 spot when he himself couldn't advance past 15th place with the same car.
@@MTee-rj1yj not only that, but I dedicate almost every playthrough to this method: I beat a most wanted racer, get their pink slip, and use their car EXCLUSIVELY until I beat the next racer and so on. To flex the fact that their rides are good enough to take the next place up on the list, but the drivers suck ass.
The punto is a deceivingly decent car. The cobalt on paper looks mediocre but the cobalt is actually a really good car. No top 3 or anything but definitely 4th to 10th
Exactly, if we talk mainly about race performance the cobalt and punto are definetly between top 15 and 8 at least the punto especially is amazingly fast thats why a lot of ai opponents rubberband so hard with it, now in terms of overall cars the punto is out of discussion being the most awfull in pursuits (no pushing power, not enough weight)
I tried all the cars maxed out for at least 5 laps each on the Petersburg round course and the Punto is number 3 out of all the cars I believe. The Cobalt is good and the Lexus sucks. Golf is also Top 10, maybe even 5
The Cobalt is not only the cheapest in the game, but I've done a run where I used nothing but the Cobalt and only got stuck at Razor. This guy just straight sucks at tier lists.
I remember playing with the A4, just black and cool wheels and pretend I'm Jason Statham in the Transporter 2. Also, lorewise, you can see the reflection of an A4 on the M3 GTR door, when you're about to face razor
I used the Petersburg roundcourse map for 5 laps and no traffic and gave every car, maxed out, at least one try of 5 full laps (though many if not all cars I have done a 2nd or even 3rd time now) and I found interesting discrepancies between some of the cars though the results weren't very surprising. i chose Petersburg because I found that it is quite balanced containing most of what you would want to balance out the different strengths of the cars. Of course all of this doesn't include chases but generally if you are decent at chases it doesn't take a boulder of a car to do well in them. Of course I did this with the cars maxed out but even if you put them at 30% or 50% or so the results should be similar. You say you focused on the stock versions of the cars which is exactly what I didn't do but I still wanna add my 2 cents since I find the discussion interesting. Gonna write down my thoughts and my (SO FAR!) best lap time with the car Awful Tier: *CTS* (56:52) agreed, it sucks. *Audi A3* (55:74) all the Audis are pretty bad but it's not the worst. *SL 500* (55:50) I've been playing a little GT4 again lately and the Mercedes' always end up in last place. In this game the same rule counts. They're too heavy and bad in corners. *Punto* (51:02) totally disagree with this one, the Fiat is one of the fastest cars. It's mediocre in early game but it scales amazingly with upgrades. It certainly isn't the worst apart from maybe at Sonny and Taz level. Bad: *Chevy 1969* what lol. *RX-8* (56:00) it's pretty bad, bad tier is right. *Cobalt* (53:22) from my testing this car is much better than this Tier, very near the Top 10 (my experience!). *CLK 500* (56:76) I found this to be the worst car in the game and I gave this one quite a few tries, it's trash at cornering and not very fast. I find it weird you did not place it in awful Tier considering how expensive it is and terrible at that. *Eclipse* (55:97) Big Lous car looks cool but the car belongs in this Tier. *SL 65 AMG* (didn't test because can't customize?). *Audi A4* (57:49) one of the worst cars. The Audis suck unfortunately. Mediocre: *Subaru* (54:12) not terrible but not very good, mediocre I agree with a lot. *Carrera S* (52:94) Is in the Top 10 but not one of the Top 2 Porsches. I would say it's definitely good. *Audi TT* (54:67) I tried and I tried with this car but it's simply not very good, I found it to be worse than the Subaru, mediocre is fine. *Lexus* (55:72) I would put this bad tier at best, I found this car to be mediocre at speed and bad at turning which makes it one of the slowest cars. The problem is I've only given this car 5 laps of attempts (warmed up) so I might retry some time. *Clio V6* (53:84) looks-wise one of my favourite cars of all time, I would rank it good ingame, it's not super fast but not slow either. Decent at turning. *Supra* (55:29) I would rank it in the bad tier but I haven't given it too many attempts yet so maybe I'm a bit harsh, I didn't find it to be a good car though. I didn't rank looks of course lol. *Mustang GT* (53:03) biggest surprise for me was this car, it's good at turning and fast and also heavy so a plus for chases. If you want the full package then this is it, good tier at least. *M3 GTR* (52:79) the only problem with the car is that you can't tune it. It was the 8th fastest car for me so at least good tier. *Monaro* (55:79) very close to the slowest cars, for me this is bad tier at best. Good: *DB9* (55:54) I did a no crash playthrough and this was the only car to survive and carry me past Razor in the end. It's not very fast and not very good at turning, for having gotten me through this pretty difficult challenge I've begun to like it but it doesn't change the fact that it's not very good, low mediocre for me. *GTO* (56:01) This was the 5th slowest car throughout my tries, not much more to say to it, I didn't find it to be very special or entertaining either. *911* (can't tune so didn't rank). *real Corvette* (52:96) good car at basically everything, about 9th to 12th for me. *RX-7* (53:29) surprsingly decent, I think my ranking is very close to yours for this one. *Evo* (53:59) it is quite decent. *911 Turbo* (54:03) The worst Porsche I found but still okay. *Gallardo* (52:47) 5th fastest car when I was testing. Very nice to drive, very fast and good turning. When you get Mings car it's already maxed out except nitrous, it's silly that they tuned these cars so hard when you can't even get the upgrades lol. *Viper* (52:91) Good car, same as Corvette around Top 10. Amazing: *Cayman* (52:77) 7th fastest car. People that get it from Baron often finish the race using it if they don't get Mings Gallardo, enough said. *Golf* (52:72) 6th fastest car. Very good. *Murcielago* (53:19) worse than the Gallardo and not in the Top 10 but still decent. Low Good Tier for me. *Mclaren* (53:03) Good but not very good. *Lotus* (50:03) I almost got below the 50 second mark with this car and I could if I tried a couple more times. Best car in the game, the only thing that can stop you are cop chases or screwing up corners. Think about it: The GTO was 6 seconds slower PER LAP for me, think about the crazy difference over many races. *Ford GT* (52:03) a bit harder to drive but very good, 4th. fastest car on my list. Still 2 seconds slower per lap than the Elise. *Carrera GT* (50:27) very close to the Elise and if you look at the full picture it might be a bit better in total. Some of your rankings surprised me like the GTO and Aston Martin in good tier. The Aston Martin I guess is acceptable because it looks cool and you rank that as well but it's so expensive and mediocre throughout all of it's levels of upgrades. GTO same thing but even worse lol. Also people hate on the Punto way too much, it's the 3rd placed car on my list and rightfully so, it is really good, better than the Golf. M3 GTR in mediocre makes little sense to me because it looks cool, it is very good considering you can't tune it and it's awesome to have it in the game.
I absolutely love the Audi TT, I used it in Underground 2 and Most Wanted. I started playing the game about a week ago after YEARS of not playing and I just beat the guy with the Corvette C6.
You're entitled to your own opinion, but I've done my fair share of time trials on different tracks, and fully tuned with all junkman parts the IS 300 is by a considerable margin the worst car of the four starter cars. Driving on the NFS World Loop multiple times, the Punto was actually the fastest of the lot with a 5:23 time while the Golf did a 5:25, the Cobalt SS a 5:27 and the IS 300 a measly 5:38. The fully upgraded Punto is one of the fastest cars in the game in regular tracks.

Compare in Car Shape and Handling Curve, Speed Curve with Ultimate Settings, no junkman Cobalt SS > IS300 Golf > Fiat Golf may better than Cobalt SS on handling but I think Cobalt SS more amazing perform cause it's bigger car.
I finished the game with Earl's Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. I upgraded it with all Junkman parts and had a 35 minute pursuit that gave me the maximum heat and was able still able to lose the police because the speed and handling was superb.

I have defeated Baron( the 10th one ) and also got his Porsche Cayman S and throughout my victory i am upgrading my Audi TT and it has reached the level of Porsche Cayman S... I was honestly shocked that you kept Porsche Cayman S in Amazing tier.....
Got to disagree on the rx8 vs rx7. The rx8 handles great and has great acceleration (and top speed). The rx7 is sluggish and slidey, always on the verg of being caught by the cops. The evo is one of my favorites. I got 2 so that i can do more chases without running my luck too much at high heat. Best acceleration ever
Came here for my biased remark. #1 to me is getting JV's Viper and junkman it. An absolute uncontrollable monster if you don't know how to straight line brake, but makes up for it in sheer straight line speed.
In my opinion, Fiat Punto is my favorite car in the game. I love the way it handles, and on full junkman its not slow with the top speed of 380 km/h and its a really fun car to drive. FOR ME. I respect your opinion. + I love Italian exotic cars and the punto is like nothing in else. it stands out and I like it.
true, many small average, european/asian cars like the Golf GTI, the Cayman or the Punto are the shit! Wasnt as much convinced by the Elise as our boy here was.
My beloved Fiat Punto in the awful tier 😭 for me it's the best starting car. Also it looks like a nugget and it's super funny when you fully upgrade it that it looks and sounds like a space vacuum cleaner. Every time I play MW I tend to stay with Punto until I can buy Murcielago 😂

I prefer the mustang over all the other light weight sport cars. If you mess up a sharp turn and hand brake aggresively with slow motion, the mustang is never gonna flip over and will rarely spin out of control, because of its weight. definitely my favourite mid game tier car
Cobalt SS is op bro you can easily beat the game when you fully upgrade it plus it doesn’t oversteer and it’s fun to use and also it feels compact when you are driving it the acceleration is really good too I would put it at like top 10
I've just finished this game 5 hrs ago with an upgraded Ford GT. Great as hell which should be on the #2 place of that list, even better at handling and top speed than the Porsche GT =)))
I would personally put Gallardo above murcielago. Lancer Evo feels just so good when in police chases. Carrera is fantastic car, but doesn't feel much fun as you zoom past your opponents😂
For me i really love the Cobalt because i get the feeling of being an underdog i beat everyone with a crappy car everytime i play NFSMW i always use the cobalt
My personal best is VW GTI. I won it from Sunny and kept it till the end. The balance is too good for all types of races and police chases. And if you modernize it the speed will be the fastest among all cars
Having played most wanted on ps2 and gamecube/wii, i have to say the lotus elise, imho, is not as good as you say. Its small and very much nimble, but the transmission felt trashy to me. My crappy cobalt (lol) drove and accelerated smoother in comparison. Also, the monaro is more appealing to me visually, but given im american, i chose the gto in storymode. Cant complain about either as they handle surprisingly well for being a heavy car. Just my $0.02. :)
i have been playing nfs mw for nearly a decade now. I did try all the car, do multiple run to get the best time out of each car on all sprint and circuit,. In in all, i quite agree with your tier list here.
If i were to make a list considering when you get them in career and how useful they will be, this would be top 5: 1- lotus elise: very good in everything except pursuits, top no.2 choice of speedrunners 2- porsche carrera gt: you get it very late 3- vw golf gti: best starter car if you got an underground 2 savefile or you got the sonnys pinkslip, it can hold very well in late game and its a top choice of speedrunners (a side note to this car: dont upgrade its turbo at all when you beat taz -maybe baron too-, it will make the car perform worse) 4- porsche cayman s: its a very good car overall, will do everything in mid game if you get barons pinkslip 5- lamborghini gallardo: awd car, will do good on mid-late game if you get mings pinkslip Honorable mention: chevy cobalt ss: very good alternative to golf gti if you dont have an underground 2 save file (golf gti's side note can be applied to this car too) And this would be the bottom 5: 1- cadillac cts: its just... there capable of doing nothing but catching dust ig 2- toyota supra: unfortunately (or fortuately to supra fanboys lmao) this car sucks in this game 3 and 4- pontiac gto/vauxhall monaro vxr: they are literally the same car and both of them are quite bad (but they have solid bodykits) 5- lexus is300: its possibly the worst choice among the starter cars Honorable mention: audi a3: idk i didnt drive any audi car outside of quick races
I think my most driven car in this game is the rx8. And all because of the introduction of Mia. You too might try to recreate the car of a video game crush (not sure if that counts as being down bad, but I did that as a kid and teenager too). And I say try to recreate as I don't have a special edition to the game that gives you blacklist liveries and other noticeable characters.
Good old times when i was young i was watching my dad play this game and he was litteraly using only 2 cars. He was picking punto for start and then driving it untill he beat sonny. If he got the car from sonny he was using that golf. If he didnt he sticked to the punto xD And yes he was beating razor with punto without much trouble. I just came here cuz i was curious if there are any cars in the game that are actually better performace than golf cuz my dad kept saying that its the best car in his opinion because its fast and has incredible steering. Seems like some of them are better heh Im replaying the game myself now and ill give lotus a try i guess :D
Did you watch Initial D? That's the only question I can think of when you said RX7 is your favorite. Also, does it have the wankel engine sound? I don't remember it did in Underground 2.
About #9, believe me from what I've heard, once you do get that Gallardo from Ming...that's pretty much it for them. The rest of the Blacklist, especially Razor, might as well pack it in. Game Over.

the best car is mclaren SRL, brutal acceleration and best handling, so easy to control, amazing agility and reaction, lovely oversteer allows you to go faster in turns. Dunno why no one pick it for goat!!! Carrera gt probably faster on game but has a terrible understeer, that makes the car less agility and reactive. Golf is the second best one, probably it is slower in acceleration than SRL but same amazing handling, the difference is on lovely understeer. i put on the podium gallardo, best acceleration then golf but a little bit worse handling imho. Those three cars are the best soo far, no weak points as all the others cars
Performance and overall wise the best cars in the game are the Gallardo, Corvette C6, Viper, Lancer EVO, Cayman and ofc the M3 u get in the state u get it after beating razor. In carbon for example, the best purely falls to the Corvette and the Lancer… all the others are just much worse. Edit: fun fact. The 911 turbo has the best acceleration with max tuning and fine tune from 0-100. If u perfect start with it… u instantly leave everyone behind u
Carrera GT and Ford GT .... Are they a joke to you? About the car having the best acceleration you are wrong. Mustang GT does 0-100 in 1 second and that doesn't mean it's a very good car. porshe 911 carrera S, 911 turbo look good but if you compare its race time with the Caymam for example, you will see that the Cayman is the best Porshe, second only to the Carrera GT which is currently the best car in the game, without a doubt

i beat the whole game with only the Cobalt SS its a great car decent for police chases and its one of the best cars fully upgraded (The IS300 is still better tho but underrated aswell)
You put the 2 best cars in the game in good tier... You can literally max out the stats on the gallardo and c6 and they carry you through the game with ease. You didnt really explain why you liked or disliked the cars either. You just dont fancy them?

I have the Porche Cayman S I defeated Blacklist 6 with it and got his Lamborghini. It had slightly better overall stats and most of all the ultimate upgrades on it. Should I use Cayman or Lambo? I have like 90k cash still sitting so I can max upgrade Cayman S too.
This is actually my first time playing the game and I like cars but I'm not a " car guy" as my friends say. This tier list ranks Lamborghini Gallarodjabwj whatever lower than Cayman so I'm confused.
Go with ming's Gallardo put junkman parts into it and it will take you to blacklist 1 handily the only cars that will give you competition especially in speedtraps are aston martin & carrera gt.
well my favorite car is the GT Ford its the fastest car its the only car i could get to do 260 mph on the highway but also im not sure any as noticed there is a Burger King in the game as well and there is cheat for burger king challenge
Funny how someone rates cars just on personal taste instead of facts! The Punto is an amazing car in MW, the Cayman at least Top 5 (since it gets you to the top quite easily) , the Cadi is Top 20 ...Its also hilarious, how you rated the supercars all in Top 10 even though the handling is f*n horrible. As are cars like the Lexus, the Camaro or the Supra. In my opinion, there are very few bad cars, since the most like the Cadillac can be amazing, if you drive them regularly! The Mustang is complete trash because of the handling, as is the RX-8 because of lacking speed! In general, the muscle cars like the Viper or especially the Corvette have bad handling! I agree with you on the Audis since everyone of them lacks something, even though the A3 can still be amazing! The Clio is also bad because of lacking speed! The Aston Martin is a bad joke since the different performance parts dont really click! But really, you should make clear at the beginning of the vid, how much your US-american bias as well as your design taste influence the rating (like the Corvette, the Viper or the Mustang :))! At least make clear, that its not about the performance ! Still a nice rating! Greetings
