Even if xinyan is a bad character to play with, almost everyone can admit she has the best visual affects in the 4 stars

The main reason that Sara's wings don't show often in game is because her lore says that her home (on top of a mountain) was invaded, and she fell of the mountain with all the chaos happening around and fainted. She was supposed to die with a drop of that height, but she woke up with an electro vision in her hand. Her wings were broken, though, and she was never able to fly again.

My personal favorite is Albedo. He just looks so majestic with all of his attacks happening in a single frame. He looks like a flower in bloom, born from calx. I just love it.

The fact that I already knew Kokomi will be first because of your obsession with the “HYDRO” ELEMENT 😭😭 but honestly same- I’m obsessed with the hydro element’s effects

chongyun's and xinyan's splash art is most definitely the best out of the 4 stars. even in game their bursts are so bad ass. I main both of em.

1) Those things circling Beidou are in fact, dragons. 2) For Klee, I feel like that's the point. She is portrayed as a sweet kid that's actually an arsonist. Outside, she's a cute sweet child but really she's a scary arsonist. i think that's what they were portraying with her art. 3) For shenhe, that talisman is supposed to hide the cryo avatar's face. If you look at her held skill, the avatar has a seal covering it's face. 4) I am one of those pyschopath that wants Qiqi. I've wanted her from the start and I still want her to this day. 5) Fun fact: Every Archon's splash art has the terrain from their nations. Venti has a landscape of monstadt, Zhongli looks like Guyun Stone Forest/Somewhere in Jeuyun Karst and Raiden Shogun has the Tenshukaku. 6) Yae Miko's splash art is my favorite. I think it's because I just love pink and purple hues. Maybe that's why I ship EiMiko. 7) Childe's splash art is so big it doesn't even fit the screen lmao

this is actually the one tierlist I disagree with a lot but that's because of my own preferences, tastes and biases tbh. for instance some of the newer splash arts I'd put lower down because I'm not a fan of how all these new ones have the character in front of some artsy icon whereas older ones like diluc, jean and childe's have them IN the scene of the art (look how ayato looks almost disconnected from his background whereas you can see childe and diluc standing on the stone and their respective elements swirl around them a bit which gives light effects on their clothes)

I really miss the dynamic poses from before like Ganyu's and Albedo's. Now it jus t looks like the characters are tacked on a background.

How DARE you say anything SLIGHTLY negative about my sweet precious goddess Yoimiya and her burst animation. Did you know that her burst animation cured ALL disease and famine on this planet? No, I bet you didn't. My personality and everything I hold dear on this planet can be DEFINED by Yoimiya. There's only one way you could have insulted me and you managed to do it. I wish nothing but the worst upon you for the horrible things you've said. Disliked.

That klee edit was actually so cool!! At least 80% of the reason I like getting characters is to look at the splash art I'm more biased towards the pastel colored ones and the ones with little backgrounds:D Edit: namecard ranking next perhaps?

Kokomi!! Also agreed Albedo's splash art is INCREDIBLE. Everything just comes together on that one

Childe's was the first thing I ever saw of Genshin in general, and it's just been an iconic piece of the game I've always loved. The composition is what really sells it for me, with how it reminds me of the part of the character demo where he skates down a waterfall.

Qiqi is loved in aesthetic, style, looks, lore.. except gameplay

I'm don't understand why you didn't include the splash arts for the skins(Jean, Barbara, Ningguang, Keqing) we got? Do you like them better than the standard splash art?

Absolutely agree on the zhongli, shogun and kokomi's splash art being top tier.

I'm a Yoimiya main and I still think her design is one of the best in the game. However, I gotta agree that her splash art doesn't do her justice. There's not much contrast between her and the background which makes it look messy and unfocused, and she gets lost in it. Also hot take, I do not like her pose at all. At a glance, she looks like she only got 1 leg. Then the way her hair flows makes her kind of unrecognizable. It just doesn't show off how beautiful her design is

I love kokomi's bc it just doesn't paint a picture but it also shows a clear silhouette of her unlike the latter 5* spalsh arts

Impeccable taste (I am totally not biased)! I love how when Zhongli appears and as it's the silhouette that appears first, there is only T H E V O I D. It's just a big shapeless mass that I can't understand, and then the art appears.

Personally, my favorite splash art is Xiao’s with my least favorite being Zhongli’s (I just hate the big block, I think it looks a whole lot cooler when things are separated and not just a rectangle when unrevealed)

My favourite splash arts have to be from Xiao (perfect mix of blacks and greens gives off a corrupted vibe which is perfect for him), Raiden (gorgeous implementation of so many things from Inazuma), Albedo (best pose out of all splash arts + everything in the art is conjured by him which I love), Kokomi (her Ceremonial Garment blends into the art so well + amazing colours), and Eula (I love how the ice effects look like a cape).

i may not agree with some of the takes, but seeing tartaglia and kokomi in the top 2 is just great to see

i want to point out that like venti, zhongli and raiden show locations of liyue and inazuma in their splash (raiden shows the castle thing she stays in and zhongli shows those towers that you just hate getting commissions in because you have to climb and glide for ages)

When he said he liked Barbara’s colour scheme, I knew that he’d rate Kokomi as top tier lol 😂

Anemo holds a special place in my heart. However my favorite splash arts are those of Venti’s, Yae Miko’s, Hu Tao’s, Jean’s, and Mona’s.

I have to agree for Kokomi's Splash Art being at the top. The streams of water behind her looks as though it's following the school of fish in front of her legs. Her look of compassion at the aquatic friends of hers, and the gorgeous hues of purple and pink highlights showing only in a few places really make the art stand out. Despite me not really being a huge fan of Kokomi, I have to agree that her art work is the best. If I had to think of anyone that gets close to that, it would probably be someone like Sucrose or Shenhe

I personally would put Zhongli on top. After that Raiden and Yae followed by the likes of Diluc, Jean, Mona, and Tartaglia.

Honestly I kinda feel like you should’ve separated the 4* character splash arts and the 5* ones because the 5* ones obviously get special treatment because more budget and profit from banner sales.

Hey...if yanfei's rabbit thingy gets a b tier, my boy gorou deserves some love(headpats) too because he has the little pupper by his side.....and i am really really biased about dogs.. Also nice tier.... despite loving kazu boi and ayayo their splash art is definitely weird..idk why....maybe because it doesn't work well in 2d Hmmm.....so about venti, i did notice the mond the very first time I saw his art....and idk why but that did made me feel so happy and sort of warm too. And that emotional connect for me is why venti splash has been my top fav despite far more visually stunning art that we have now...😊

Funny, the "paint a big scene" ones are just pretty good to me, but they're my least favorite when it comes to their silhouette. Y'know that half-second of anticipation when you see the gold shooting star and the silhouette of the character shows up before revealing itself? Other splashes like Chongyun, Venti and Jean's have a really strong silhouette, with the big effects of their artwork highlighted greatly as they stick further out from the center. With Zhongli, Raiden and Yae, it's kind of just an ink blot. And as a result, it takes away from all the stuff that's actually going on in their artwork, as it blends together a bit. There aren't distinct elements; it's just a bunch of contiguous things inside of a blob of color. Hope the future archons' splashes will resemble Venti's more.

The Zhongli splash art is probably my favourite it looks so good And xiao is great since I saved for 5 months to get him and him appearing was the best moment of this game for me so far, aside from maybe the shenhe story or Raiden fighting us and signora

This list is practically gospel for good splash art imo. The only one's I switch is Kokomi and Tartaglia, because while I absolutely love the colors and details of Kokomi's, I think Tartaglia's pose is more dynamic and the curve of the wave complements it perfectly, overall, I think the dynamic shape/pose and the recognizable silhouette puts it above Kokonut, and while I do think Kokomi's more sombre pose lends well to her personality, I just think Tartaglia's is slightly more visually appealing.

Now we need an updated list where you put the new diluc skin at the top of S

Kazuha's ranking surprised me, it's always been one of my fav splashes and I still remember how amazing it was when i first saw it. Maybe I'm biased 'cause I love Japanese art and gravures and loved the references to it, but I don't know, it's still pretty dope

Well, as always great video... Also, your video editing has gotten better and damn those little details you noticed are great. As Kokomi main (And by main i literally did two whole God damn domains soloing kokomi) And Raiden main too... I love the fact those two were top and their burst were also S tier if i recall correctly well, IT WAS the reason i pulled for them and IT IS the reason i use their Burst... Just to see those beautiful eye catching animations..

Ah yes, to see someone appreciate fandom's most hated hydro characters (kokomi and childe) splash art. Can't lie that I got Childe (got spooked in kokomi's banner lol) purely for his splash art. Kokomi's and Childe's splash art feels like a limited five star character. If only Kokomi is not hold back by the art used for profile outside gacha as well it could be even more and more majestic

Shenhe having a talisman on the spirit is problem because of our Chinese culture part like qiqi design cause by putting talisman on the dead or spirit forehead they will not be able to move But ofcourse the talisman could just be the one that summon the spirit

i kinda want hoyoverse to release characters with two visions. imagine the potential for a hydro character with water effects combined with icy frost from a cryo character! plus, we already know that dual visions is possible due to that one inazuma cutscene where kazuha activated his friends electro vision as well as his own anemo. Altho, a dual vision character would ruin meta as they would be able to cause elemental reactions without using other characters

I dont have any particular favorite splash art in Genshin however I always prefer the 5 star ones. What I love about the splash art is that you will know which of the characters is the archon cuz they make sure to show the overall representation of the region in the background of their splash art. Edit: Also the most unique one is Tartaglia in terms of silhouette.

Beidous one is kinda funny to me I was confused for a while why she didn't have a shield and sometimes I saw her with a shield in gameplay and that's because you need her C1

Splash art tierlists are most likely the tierlist of your favorite color scheme and element. For example, I like pink and purple but dislike brown themed colors. Thus, even if I really like zhongli's splash art it would still be lower than yae and raiden. While I am quite surprised that venti wasn't in S tier even with the background splash art that only 4 characters in the game have. For me, yae's is the best because I've seen raiden in that pose for so long. Every time I use her burst, I get reminded of that splash art pose. lol And I also like the reflection of her personality in the splash art.

Omg it's so rare to find another Bulbasaur fan, it was my first starter plus I love grass types is my favorite favorite type along with steel, the grass/wood/nature element is my favorite element in fiction which is why I'm so excited for dendro and my most anticipated archon

this made me think about all the splash arts i've seen from pulling and the most memorable of them for me is definitely zhongli's despite not having been very interested in him as a character at the time when i pulled him by accident (it was 8 pulls after childe) i was so fucking hyped seeing it just cause it was so cool looking jsjdjdj the silhouette is super memorable too i recognized it the second i saw it

The travelers do actually have splash art. It was removed in 1.1 but it does exist. Apparently at some point they decided to not have the traveler constellations in the banners (thank goodness).

As soon as i saw albedos i pulled him. His splash art imo is just a masterpiece. Personally i like yellow themes, flowers, sparkles and his eyes are a lovely contrast of blue-green. His hair being very curly also just brought the whole thing together and its one of the, if not, the best looking splashes to me.

What I like abt dilucs splash art is the ground terrain the bricks looks nice on em

I have a kinda interesting thing I'd like to see rated. The art on the elemental skill/burst when you're using the character. The button you would tap if you play mobile to unleash the skills. I hope I'm explaining that clearly. I don't notice it a lot, but sometimes I look at it and think it's pretty. Or ugly af. Also, would you add on to these lists as more characters come out? Just curious.

This has to be one of the lists that I've disagreed the most with, but it all comes to personal preference so it's normal and was a really interesting list to watch. My favorite for as long the game exists and after will be Mona's. And really close to her Ayaka, Yelan and Raiden. I was surprised even tho I know you like playing with Childe, i think his splash art looks like the cover of a Colgate mouthwash XD
