Akaza didn’t even use his legs during the fight with Rengoku, even when his head was about to cut by Rengoku in the end. Whole fight Akaza just wanted a homie
obanai not fighting anyone pre muzan is not really a good point. Im sure if he got put in giyus place in the akaza fight it would’ve been over quicker. obanai has better feats overall
Obanai 100% dies to Akaza's Afterglow at such a close range unlike Giyu who barely tanked it with dead calm and still suffered injuries. No other hashira would ever survive that attack head on
also remember in the muzan explosion or strongest attack everyone got taken out even after accessing the transparent world he(obanai) was not able to react at all. But giyu did react at this attack (inosuke comment
that literally doesn't make any sense. we have to go according to the story line because obanai base was struggling with nakime, neither he has mark, nor red blade(got info from crow). He's not gonna survive those deadly punches from akaza. He might die from the battle. Even if he won with the help of tanjiro there's no way he will be able to fight muzan looking at his stamina, stats, physical strength(even weaker than mui), remember after turning his blade red he almost fainted(got saved by inosuke, zenitsu or probably kanao).
@@Your_man-ok8wt He forgot a lot of evidence too, so the evidence he brought really doesn't back much up when most of it is missing. Like Iguro fighting Nakime for three hours and saying he "wasn't exhausted because he didn't fight an upper moon", lol.
@@cyberhunter6300 Able to land a clean hit on muzan, reached muzan’s neck in base, able to fight while blinded, tanked huge hits from muzan and still performed better than giyu did with akaza, saved tanjiro and others multiple occasions. we can go on if u really wanna play that game.
@@mightbejoseph1590 There's a reason why Author did not gave Iguro a proper Upper moon fight, and that is his durability factor. If Iguro had fought any top 3 upper moons and received any sort of injury on the level of Giyuu, Sanemi and Gyomei.. Iguro wouldn't have been able to fight Muzan at all. This is why author made him fight fresh in a group against a weakened Muzan cose looking at his stats. he wouldn't have survived against a proper Upper moon. He's the only pillar other than Mitsuri who kept on complaining in the final arc. Iguro along side Mitsuri wasted 3 hours fighting Nakime without ever landing a hit, and while all this was happening other Hashira and slayers had already killed 4 UMs in their respective fights. Iguro entered fresh against Muzan with no injuries or fatigue of any sort, where as other Hashira were heavily injured and fatigued from their previous UM fights. 1.Giyuu was fatigued, fought with a broken sword and an almost dead arm(from Akaza fight) against Muzan. 2. Sanemi was fatigued, injured, missing 2 fingers and holding his guts with bandages. 3. Gyomei was fatigued, cut and bruised too. I'll agree Obanai did protect Tanjiro, but he himself was saved 5 times in the final arc. 1 He got saved by Yushiro against Nakime 2. He and other pillars were saved by low rank demon slayer where they sacrificed themselves by jumping in front of Muzan's attack. 3. He got saved by Zenitsu when he almost fainted(lmao) 4. Probably got saved by Giyuu and Gyomei from Muzan's Shockwave attack(Inosuke comment) 5.Tanjiro helped him with Yushiro talisman. When Iguro entered the fight against Muzan, he saved Tanjiro and was the 2nd pillar to get a hit on Muzan along with everyone else, but as the fight further progressed, he was ghosted. He, himself mentioned it how he has contributed the least in this fight. Iguro had gotten so weak just from fighting Muzan and his poison, he decided to shield Himejima instead of fighting Muzan, but even that wasn't possible for him.(His words) After Mitsuri got injured, he decided to sacrifice himself. In chapter 188. He stated " First, I must die and swap out this body that's flowing from impure blood". Iguro did severed Muzan's limbs, but with the help of Sanemi, who created the opening for him. After getting the antidote for Muzan blood, Iguro decided to turn the tide around for himself, but he almost fainted right after turning his blade red and was saved by Zenitsu, which shows lack of strength as well. In Muzan's Shockwave attack (which took out everyone) Giyuu and Gyomei were the ones who saved everyone around them(Inosuke comment), which costed them their limbs. Iguro got lucky, as he only lost his eyes. Any lost of limbs, he would've died from blood loss right then and there. Also, Iguro was already half blind since birth. Kaburamaru was the real MVP, who helped him fight Muzan as he(snake) was predicting all of Muzan's movements. Going full blind had little to no effect on Iguro, as he wasn't that desperate. And anyway, he did get Yushiro's talismans, so he got his vision back as well, making his "blind fight" a question of a chapter. Muzan. Iguro and Tanjiro faced. The Muzan.. Iguro and Tanjiro faced was exceptionally weak, weaker than his Upper moons. Why? Tanjiro at 100% strength with a mark could not hold himself against Akaza for half a chapter without getting saved by Giyuu, but against (STRONGEST DEMON) Muzan, not only he was dodging, but also fighting him for 2.5 chapters with just 1 eye in a fatigued state. He did that solo. Even Yoriichi feared for his life when a casual Muzan swung just 1 tentacle at him(chapter 187) The version of Muzan, Obanai and Tanjiro fought for 25 minutes was exceptionally WEAK in the final hour of the battle(When Tanjiro fought solo against Muzan), probably weaker than his 12 kizukis. As he himself mentioned it " Its unbelievable that I can't instantly kill a man who's so heavily injured. All because of Tamayo drug. They are not fast, it's me who is getting slow" Muzan was hitting fatigue, he was out of breath, vomiting blood and running low on stamina, which is not normal for demons, as they have no concept of fatigue and stamina. Even Inosuke and Zenitsu, who's power level were not close to pillars, who didn't even had a mark were holding their own against Muzan for last 25 minutes of the fight. About STW Iguro only got to experience STW for like a second before he got taken out along with everyone else. Just try placing fresh Rengoku or Tengen in place of Iguro in Muzan Fight. They'd perform even better than Iguro at base cose not only they are more experienced, but they also have far better stats than Iguro in strength and speed. Credits:- internet
you can’t even say a what if question, this is how the story placed it, u could say some bs like he would get a MASSIVE power up and rank above Gyomei idgaf, this is how Rengokus role played out, doesn’t matter what power up he COULDVE gotten.
The past years, i've always agreed on a ranking that sanemi is the 2nd strongest hashira buy after rereading the manga countless times, i'm being convinced that giyu is stronger as a swordsman than sanemi. Let me tell you my reasons. In the fight against kokushibo, sanemi was able to hold off kokushibo for about one chapter. One thing i noticed is that the marechi blood was quite effective for a short period of time that is why sanemi was still able to continue to fight. Sanemi even said that he gets slower everytime he is wounded so it's no surprise he also gets weaker as the fight goes on. Because if we assess his breathing style, wind breathing is a lot offensive that is why sanemi has a lot of scars on his body because his breathing style doesn't really care about defense. Another thing is that gyomei really carried the fight the moment her entered the battle. It's like sanemi was given the supporting role in the battle and was only given by the author a moment of chapters to fight kokushibo. What i like about sanemi is his resourcefulness in battle but somehow his agressiveness in battle can also lead to his disadvantage. Giyu on the other hand, in the manga, i saw that a lot of his moments of clash with akaza was off screened. What i mean is that, the author wanted to focus on tanjiro(main character)'s perspective instead of the perspective on how giyu fights akaza that is why the panel in the battle was always in the bird eye perspective. In base form, i think giyu himself stated that he doesn't like going all out with his opponent, so that also implies that he wasn't even trying at all with his sparring with sanemi. Only akaza was able to overwhelm his for a long time. Akaza's technique was actually so powerful that no hashira will be able to defeat him 1v1, not even gyomei. You all know why? Because no one knows about the selfless state except for the kamado lineage and yorichi. Selfless state and transparent world is actually different concepts. So going back, giyu was able to become faster than akaza for a moment but his compass was able to adapt on it. Plus, akaza is completely dependent on his compass that is why he was beheaded by tanjiro but that doesnt mean that tanjiro already surpassed giyu because when they fought muzan, tanjiro was still struggling. Going back to the off-screened stuff, the whole fight against akaza was carried by giyu, giyu was able to give tanjiro a space to think of the past which is what the chapters were focusing on instead of giyu's perspective of fighting akaza and the fight and the reminiscing of tanjiro's past occured for about four chapters. And a panel also said, a never ending battle/clash, describing the fight of akaza and giyu. Akaza also said that giyu has already used all of his forms. So this is it, giyu's fight with akaza was off-screened. It was a prolonged battle that cost giyu's stamina which is why akaza was able to break his sword. What are the forms shown in the battle? Third, 2nd, 11th and fourth, the others were not shown in the panels but akaza clearly stated that giyu used all of his forms. That means that giyu's fight with akaza was so long that it took giyu to use all of his forms to fight him. Their fight was toe to toe but of couese giyu is a human and his stamina will diminish over time. But it is impressive that he wqs able to have no serious injuries unlike sanemi. Some of you might say, kokushibo is a lot stronger than akaza. Yes kokushibo is stronger, and read again my comment. Some may also note that giyu was saved a lot in the battle against muzan. Let me tell you something, tanjiro was on the brink of death, and do you know what motivates him to fight? To protect his friends. And the friend and someone he treats like a brother was about to die. And naturally, you'll lose your fighting spirit when that happens. Giyu was extremely worried for tanjiro, and that is something the other hashira doesnt have about tanjiro. So in conclusion, if ever sanemi and giyu fought a real battle, i'm pretty sure giyu will have the upperhand since he can defend strong attacks and has more stamina out of all hashiras. A lot of people say that water breathing is a defensive style. The answer is a big NO. That is a big misconception of water breathing. Water breathing is style that is known for it's adaptability. All of water breathing forms are offensive except 9th and 11th form so how can you say it is defensive. Water breathing can adapt to most attacks that is why it can defend it's users from strong attacks. This is not actually my final verdict for giyu vs sanemi but right now, i am convinced that giyu is stronger than sanemi by a small margin.
I will not argue cause i don't finish reading it. But one thing about the selfless state i think gyomei have that in fact he is the first person to have it. Can you read it again ?
I can already tell you taht in term of exoerience tengen is higher than gyomei since he started to fighr when he was 5.Then gyu became an hashiea furst than sanemi and rengku began an hashira first than obanai and shinobu became and hashira before than rengoku
Anyway overall experience 1Tengen 2Gyomei 3Gyu 4Sanemi 5Shinobu 6Rengoku 7Obanai 8Mitsuri 9Muichiro Obanai , rengoku and shinobu are pretty the same anyway you can swap them, becuase shinobu started to training like when she was 10 and at 16 was hashira, also rengoku took 6 years of training and too obanai
Now combat speed tengen is hogher don't make gyutaro fool you, gyutiaro agilities and movments speed are in top 3 among upms and tengen techniques are derived from the thunder breathing who has the fastest techniques among all the breathing and his agikity and movments ae for sure better than rengoku and he also has a good attack speed since he attacks with multiple slashes at the same time.Mitsuri is at keast top 4 she can cut lighitngs and sonic wawes and her forms ae all based on quicks swings and she csn create tornado with her 5th forms and is stated that her technqiues ae faster than uzui and so also faster than some thunder breath techniques and she has incredible agility and movmenets since she can dance and do acrobatics moves in her own slashes, meanwhile gyomei should be lower since anyway in terms of agility, movmeents and flexibility is the 9 due to his size
Who has the most offensive skill is sanemi (his strategy his to be attacked by opponements qnd obanai defence in reality is more stronger he is more versatile
React speed ok but tengen a little bit higher because of his musical score.Would be 1Gyomei2Sanemi3Gyu and obanai 4 Muichiro5Mitsuri6Tengen7Rengoku or shinobu they haven't so much react speed feats or statements
In my personal top, Muichiro is higher than Obanai. Muichiro at the peak of his powers with a transparent world was able to react to Kokushibo's attacks with full power. I understand that Muzan was indeed very weak. Even though Giyuu said that the muzan is very strong, during the battle we can see its weakening. The muzan level in the final is equal to the upper moon, but it is not known which one. After all, Giyu and Sanemi, having received terrible wounds in battles with the higher moons, fought against the muzan even better than against the moons. The reason was not the teamwork, but the weakness of the muzan. Muzan himself admitted this, saying that he could not deal with them because of his weakness. In reality, Muzan destroys all hashira in 1 second. Although, I think one d Douma would be enough there
@@YODEENZEL What muzan? Very funny. Inosuke and Kanao reacted to him. At the very end, he was so weak that he could not kill one obanai. Kokushibo effortlessly almost destroyed the two strongest hashira. Kokushibo peak>muzan sucker on drugs 😀
@@YODEENZEL Even Mitsuri reacted to muzan for a while. Muichiro uses style 7, mark and will be able to fight with the others against the muzan and the reaction to this will be enough for him. After all, the muzan was getting older every minute. It was only because the Hashira were exhausted that Obanai seemed very strong compared to them. But before this, Sanemi and Gyomei fought against 1 moon, and Giyu against 3. Although they were beaten, they still continued the battle. Kokushibo>obanai base; with the mark he can hold out, but even Sanemi received it at the time of treatment of his wounds and not during the battle. Muzan was not at full power at all, not even at 50%. Even the mark Sanemi almost lost his arms when Kokushibo used his strongest technique, but Gyomei helped. When Kokushibo began to use the strongest styles, even Sanemi had a very hard time, no matter what. Who did not survive difficult battles, with his endurance and physical characteristics. Literally joined the battle 1 hour before dawn and fought as a team almost the entire time. Then the muzan realized that he was very weak, and therefore could not finish them off. Afterwards he slows down even more and Obanai, being the least wounded, returns to the battle earlier, and in the end the others get up to help. If Muichiro was defeated by a kokushibo and did not live to fight a muzan, this does not mean that he would not be able to react and fight with everyone on the team against such a muzan
I even have muichiro at 3, but 4 is also fine. I completely agree with what you said, I wanted to add that muzan at first with giyu wasnt trying since he didnt even use his fast backwheeps, that he started to use only when they exited the infinity castle, at the beginning he was just using his arms to attack. So giyu is also very overrated also and when he said muzan isnt comparable to an uppermoon, that statement isnt reliable since he didnt the top 2 uppermoons who are incredibly stronger than akaza.
Sure wish Rengoku was stronger, but the facts be the facts. Although we could put him higher than Kanroji due to him being her mentor. Had her been alive I think he would've unlocked the marks
Muichiro is not the only hashira who has been helped, let's be honest. It is also worth canceling that he received more moral help than during the battle. Considering his moral state, I am not surprised that he gave up so quickly and did not want to fight, however, after awakening the mark, he destroyed the 5th upper moon. No matter how much gyutaro fans would like to admit it, gyokko is much stronger. I also ask you to consider the muzan's weakness in the final. When I look at Muzan under tamayo drugs, it seems to me that Kokushibo was much stronger. How else can one explain the fact that Inosuke and Kanao could react to his attacks?
Bro muichiro is stronger than obanai muzan was way too weak i bet if muichiro entered the battle freshly he would have done better than obanai mitsuri and obanai kept complaining the whole infinity castle they wasted hours on nakime muichiro got slammed by koku simply bcz no one can imagine a 14 years old boy fighting the strongest demon and just to display koku powers thats why they did that to him even tho in the end mui was the main reason koku died
@@AMANkhan-yv7zi I also agree with this. In my top list, Muichiro is higher than Obanai. Kokushibo is a different level of power. There are just a lot of people complaining that they helped him get out of the water trap. What I mean is that it is unfair to say that he was helped, because everyone was helped. How many times they helped is not an indicator of strength
@@AMANkhan-yv7zi What a shame that 90% of the fans don't understand how weak Muzan was. The fact that Muichiro did not live to see the battle with the muzan does not mean that he would not have been able to react to the attacks of the muzan. I understand this very well. However, very few fans don't understand this and elevate Obanai because at the end he and Tanjiro fought against the Muzan, but the Muzan was indeed very weak. Kokushibo is obviously many times stronger than a weakened Muzan
@@AMANkhan-yv7ziMuichiro is not stronger than Obanai, any of the marked pillars who were at the infinity castle can beat Gyokko with as much if not easier difficulty. Let’s not talk about how the VERY PANEL, where Kokushibo drew his sword; Muichiro lost his hand and got used as a selfie stick, not even a serious Kokushibo, casual Kokushibo babied him. Base Sanemi did much better, and Giyu is close to sanemi in overall stats, Obanai isn’t far behind from them. Sanemi > Giyu >Obanai, and then the rest
For me this rank from the 6th place to the 1rst place is excatly what i thinks. But one thing, I think tengen over shinobu. There are a lot of statements for him.He is 2nd in phy.strenght, 1rst in running, muichiro stated his endurance and durability of his body were higher than his body also with mark, he has a lot of shinobi skills and abilitie and trh musical score as hax, he has also the best combat experience among all the hashiras and incredible intellingence. He had problems vs gyutaro but he was also poisoned and gyutaro poison works thanks to the breath style and heart besting and so he was attacking and moving slower but in the ned after he stopped for a little the poison he actually went full power and contraste gyutaro with one arm(anyway all base hashira except sanemi and gyomei woulddie from his poison agansit gyutaro that in terms of agility and movemenets speed is 3rd among the upm and has much espeirence abd better control of his abilities than gyokko so for me anywya there isn't so much difference among gyokko power and gyutaro power, anyway he never require a bloood battle for begins upm5 but in a actually fight aganist gyokko i think gyokko would has much trobles because mostly of his abilities aren't so leathal and works only on the humans[but i'm not saying he is weaker]) Shinobu anyway has only speed and douma was toying if he would use a little bit more of power could findih the fifht in 2 minutes, and anyway his combat his more static, in temrs of movmernts and agility shinobu is superior but in terms of react speed and relfex douma is faster and no if she would have much phy.strenght she woukdn't be that fast, and most of the soeed was from running and her pierce speed. In terms of attack speed tengen is faster and douma stated that shinibu was a hashira just for her will power, the uathor in the running competition stated how her stamina and endurance are low to, tenfen endurance and durability are realky high, for take hin down you need a lot of power but kaso time becuase he is very durable, he in one night recovered his wounds made aganist gyutaro and after the fight was still able to walking almosr normally to his house. And one thing, i think mitsuri and muichiro are more on pair that what we think, yeah she still under him but just because he unlock the transparent world.Anyway in the fight obanai stated that mitsuri was useful and without her all the hashira had much problems at avoiding muzan't attacks and even gyomei stated to avoid with instinct as her so in temrs pf perception she is near the the other 4 hashira who fought muzan.Anyway also in a fight her conbat speed would be higher than muichiro one, she in zohakuten fifhr wasn't avoiding lighintgs but she was cutting lightninghs and sonics wawes also by sitted and then zoahkuten and hantnefu stated that zihakuteb was using all his power to try to kill mitsuri and still needed to wait that she would got tired and hantengu due to all zohakuten power wasn't able ti regenerate so in terms of power she scales higher than upm4(power not in a fight ) so anyway it's pretty close but muichiro still win.Byee❤❤
Well i think tengen and Shinobu are interchangeable. Shinobu will be more useful when she has an ally since she can speedblitz probably upper moons 6-4 (3 maybe) and her partner can finish the job but her having the inability to kill demons herself is what holds her back in the ranks. (In my opinion if shinobu was in the gyutaro fight instead of tengen, they'll probably have an easier time since poison seemed to have great effect against gyutaro since a single wisteria kunai was able to stun him for awhile, even more if shinobu was there to deal consistent thrust attacks.
@@Naetherr yeah but excat as an ally not single and if she would be with taniir squad they woukd die in reality because in the end tanjiro wasn't enough strong to behead gyutaro alone and we saw a lot of time where uzui saved him from gyutaro attacks, in the start of the fight or in ep 9 where with a kick he pushef away tanjiro for not peremtt to gyutaro to hit with his poison and protect him from his multiple attacks a lot of other time so in the end with shinobu they wouldn't be able to kill him
@@mariannaesposito521 true, the fight could go either way, tanjiro and the others will die immediately or shinobu will get the poison in fast enough and keep gyutaro in place long enough for tanjiro and his squad to behead him (shinobu's probably fast enough to subdue daki for the rest of the fight. Just a speculation though.)
@@Naetherr the problem is that they fought together, tengen separate them anyway all depends but in the end since also tanjiro stated was more a burie they would have more problem anyway gyutaro showed to be able to attack also by standing in one point
@@mariannaesposito521 oh well i think Shinobu can stun gyutaro fast enough for him to do anything else, after all even uppermoon 2 couldn't react to her attacks.
@@zephyx5514 still, everyone got a distinct panel showing them unlocking the mark. Even muichiro who had already unlocked it previously. Mitsuri never had that panel. And if she did, when would she have unlocked it. He performance in the battle against muzan was pretty abysmal constantly throughout the fight.
The only thing im wondering about is the fact that the only three hashiras who unlocked the Transparent World were muichiro, obanai and gyomei so does that make them stronger than the hashiras w out Transparent world?
i still believe the sanemi and giyu win against them since the transparent world mostly works on demons since it lets u see they’re weak spots but sanemi and giyu aren’t demon sooo i doubt that
but ngl , I do have Giyuu equal to Sanemi. I jus don't think Sanemi's feats are that good to put him staggeringly above Giyuu. For instance, Sanemi got 0 hits in on Kokushibo and he got saved like crazy. I also think Sanemi being the polar opposite of Giyuu in everything also contributes to the thought that they are equal. Like the Unstoppable force vs the immovable object
Finally someone who is logical and intelligent! Well said, and I wholeheartedly agree. People always try to say Sanemi fought Upper 1 and Giyu only fought Upper 3. Sanemi survived Upper 1. Gyomei carried that fight. Also, we see in the sparring match that Sanemi and Giyu break each other's swords. People always disregard these feat, and just go by matchups in ICA.
@@forceoflegend3965go read the fight again 😂 how did gyomei carry if gyomei was the last one to arrive, goofball. Sanemi IN BASE comes in and blitzes kokushibo and protects genya from being killed, then, again, BASE Sanemi handles kokushibo 1v1 for multiple chapters and point blank tanks kokushibo’s strongest attack 😂 giyu got his sword broken by Akaza, this shouldn’t be debatable
I agree completely. Sanemi and Giyu are complete equals. Their 1v1 shows it, narratively they're supposed to be equal, and their feats against Muzan show that they're relative. Sanemi is by far the most overhyped character in the verse.
@@sanemithemuffin3888 You're absolutely delusional. Sanemi never blitzes Kokushibo. He doesn't land a single clean hit on Kokushibo and would've died in minutes if not for Gyomei saving him. This *isn't* debatable. Sanemi is equal to Giyu. That's it.
@omni9387 100% agree! Sanemi is strong, but everyone always uses him fighting Upper 1. That wasn't a fight. He had a cool entrance against a suppressed Kokoshibo. But once Kokoshibo started to actually start to fight back, he nearly cut Sanemi in half. Had Gyomei not shown up, Sanemi would have been demon food.
THANK YOU, I have Giyu over Obanai, when Giyu had the mark, he was fighting Akaza on equal ground , I always say “Akaza could not damage Giyu without getting damaged”on top of that, he lasted 2-3 chapters while Tanjro COULD NOT jump in, because he fought the longest against Muzan, meaning he dealt with a fresh Muzan’s attacks, and had a BROKEN SWORD, Obanai is overrated , he only outshined the other pillars because he had no real fight prior to that
Some good placements, some bad placements 9. Tengen, as you said, he doesn't get any stronger than Gyutaro level after EDA. 8. Muichiro, his feats on Kokushibo aren't really valid because Kokushibo wasn't paying attention to him for most of the fight,. That means his only feats are on Gyokko which don't really scale him high 7. Mitsuri, she already shows the ability to overpower Hantengu so that scales her above Muichiro. She then has an impossible fight against Hantengu and it's stated Hantengu lost almost all of his power trying to win the fight against Mitsuri. 6. Giyu, Akaza's BDA doesn't allow him to match someone's strength and speed, it only allows Akaza to detect movements with fighting spirit. In short, Akaza's compass boosts his reaction time and not his attack speed. Giyu reaching Akaza's neck in 1 hit was due to him receiving a mark, and Akaza not expecting a sudden increase in speed from Giyu, we also see Akaza instantly match Giyu after 1 attack so this isn't too good of a feat. We later see Akaza easily snap Giyu's sword, meaning Akaza was holding back for most of the fight against Giyu. Now it's true that Muzan grows weaker as the story goes on, but he has amps that kind of counter the nerf of his drug, mainly the whips. In the infinity castle, Muzan is shown with only 2 whips, while on the surface, he's shown with 11 whips and later, 17 whips. If the Muzan that Giyu faced alone was the strongest version of Muzan, there would be no reason for Giyu to struggle so much later on in the fight, up to the point where he gets blitzed. Any argument of fatigue should also be thrown away because that would mean he couldn't deal with DKT, who is supposedly stronger than Muzan. Which brings me to my 3rd point, Demon King Tanjiro isn't strong at all, he only has the potential to be stronger than Muzan. The reason for this is that Inosuke, who was previously struggling with the weakest version of Muzan, was able to intercept Demon King Tanjiro, not to mention human Nezuko being able to hold him back. Back to Giyu's encounter with Muzan, Muzan's facial expression shows he really isn't trying against Giyu, and he's just mindlessly swinging around his whips until it hits something. So this means Giyu's only feats are on a somewhat holding back Akaza, so there's no way to justify him being any higher than 6th 5. Rengoku, saying Akaza was drastically holding back against Rengoku is absurd. The main arguments for Akaza holding back are: - Akaza wanting Rengoku to become a demon - Akaza enjoying the fight with Rengoku - Akaza saying once that he doesn't want Rengoku to die yet. The first statement can coexist with Akaza being serious, so that's not a good enough argument. Additionally we have Akaza saying he would kill Rengoku if he declined his offer, implying Akaza is serious because he's trying to kill Rengoku. This also means Akaza saying "don't die yet" isn't valid, this is backed up by Akaza screaming "die" as he's using annihilation type. Now that the misconception of Akaza not being serious is gone, I can continue over to Rengoku's feats. Rengoku showed high relativity to Akaza by reacting to all of his attacks, getting up close to him in the blink of an eye, and then overpowering Akaza at the end of their fight. This easily puts him above Giyu who got overpowered by Akaza. 4. Obanai, we can't really use Muzan feats here because you're comparing an almost fresh Obanai to pillars who each fought intense battles previous to that. Most of his feats on Muzan are also divided attention which doesn't scale him anywhere. So why is he so high? Obanai is above Mitsuri for sure due to outperforming her in the infinity castle(note: Obanai was in base while Mitsuri has a mark, you don't need a mark to beat a marked hashira). He also scales above Giyu due to matching him in base against Muzan. This time, even though it's still divided attention it's a valid feat because he's matching someone with feats. This Giyu is also at full power due to him having recovered and rested, on top of that he stated he had to save his full power for a more important fight after Akaza got beheaded. This would mean base Obanai is relative to marked Giyu, and depending on how much you think the mark amps you, he's anywhere from 2 times(lowball) to 100 times(highball) stronger than Giyu. This would also put him above Rengoku too. 3. Shinobu, this one is simple, you already explained it. Douma got blitzed by Shinobu so this scales her above Douma, and everyone weaker than him, including the list below. 2. Sanemi 1. Gyomei, everyone seems to agree on the top 2 so I'm not gonna explain it
@@Bruhzo It's the Shinobu part. If you're ranking them based on strength or power, she's 9th. That can't really be argued when she stated herself that she's the weakest. If you're ranking them based on feats or impact to the overall ending of demons in the lore, then she can really be whatever place you want her at.
@@Bruhzo It sure is, but doesn't matter how fast you swing a blade, without any power behind it; all you'll do is scratch the opponent. All the other Hashira aren't affected by wisteria, so it's not like she'd be poisoning them either. When she said "I am the weakest Hashira", kind of means, literally. She's got one of if not the fastest attack speeds, but given the rankings are done by the "strongest", saying she's the "weakest" is an antonym, meaning she'd be at the bottom.
Remember Marks is a 100 time amp in my opinion would put dount above tengen was a bit weaker then guytro who’s upper moon 6 tegen would have died without nezko akza held back but still manger to block attacks and stand his ground still he got serious even then manger to hold him back
Muzan states that Daki held Gyutaro back. And that he would have won that fight had he cut everyone. That is where people usually concluded that Gyutaro is stronger than his rank suggest. I definitely don't agree with Gyutaro being as strong or stronger than Upper 4. I would argue he is stronger than Upper 5.
@brandorgs_duh obviously you didn't read my comment. Muzan said Daki held Gyutaro back. If it weren't for her, he could be stronger than Upper 5. But like a typical internet tough guy with a smart mouth and an uneducated mind. You are quick to type a comment in an attempt to prove your worth. There is no worth for you to seek. Run along now.
@@forceoflegend3965 No. Muzan said daki held him back in the sense of the fight with tengen and kamado squad. He wouldnt be stronger than upm5, he just would have won the tengen fight.
I'm sure he knows, he jus claimed obanai didn't cuz he sustained no injuries. I cannot see how muichiro is above them because upper 1 obliterated him with ez while muzan is stated to be significantly stronger than any upper moon and giyu fought him after fighting akaza and obanai even had a short 1v1 against muzan. I think it's clear muichiro is under both of em
Hell nah obanai is not stronger then giyu. Obanai best advantage is having good sword skills, but any other traits of him is weak, source even stated that his durability is very weak, he’s not as fast a giyu, or stronger.
Gyutaro would be upper moon 4 if daki wasnt there cuz they share food and he wouldnt need to worry about daki since shes a nuisance and gyutaro and really hard to behead and he wasnt trying since if he was he wouldnt get beheaded in the first place and muzan said daki holds him back so gyutaro would be upper moon 4 or 5
@@Looofii I said second. First one is Gyomei. But mitsuri has no chance. Rengoku also born with greater strength. He easily stopped akazas punch though he was dying. 🗿
Love the tierlist, very well done. Only thing i would've changed is swapping shinobu with mitsuri, i dont see mitsuri not getting speed blitzed by shinobu.
What does that matter if she has no power? Her blade would only scratch Mitsuri and wisteria poison doesn't work on humans. She's faster than Mitsuri, no doubt, but without strength (she herself said she's the weakest) she can't take on any of the other 8 and win.
I feel like y’all tend to put Obanai over Giyu is crazy talk. When Giyu compares to Sanamei better than Obanai. If it was a 1v1 Obanai is cooked, he has great swordskills, but that doesn’t mean he’s the strongest at all. On top of that the fight between Akaza and Giyu, he did his best for not having his mark for awhile, so I would give him props, if Giyu had his mark sooner that battle would have lasted way longer then attended to. Y’all underestimate Giyu a lot because he not a person to show off his skills.
Mine is: 1. Gyomei 2. Sanemi 3. Obanai 4. Giyuu 5. Muichiro 6. Rengoku 7. Shinobu 8. Mitsuri 9. Tengen Obanai and sanemi are somewhat interchangable but sanemi has the best 1v1 feats against muzan out of any hashira in the chapter where he enters. Imo the top 3 is very clear and giyuu doesnt come close to any of them based on muzan feats. Akaza wasnt holding back against rengoku, rengoku is highly relative to akaza, we can run it. Mitsuri simply having the mark doesnt automatically make her stronger then any unmarked hashira. Both shinobu and rengoku have better feats then her.

I have a question. How can shinobu against tengen when her main attack is poison and poison can't be effected by poison. Or how she can win against rengoku when he had way better feats against akaza than shinobu against douma
She could easily stab her sword through the head of tengen and rengoku. A non serious douma is way stronger than a non serious akaza. Douma stated that he couldn't react to shinobu's speed.
2:12 muzan stated that daki was holding gyutaro back 2:25 they aren't ranked by strength they havd blood battles and whoever wins gets the spot i guess gyutaro never battle upm 5 then 5:35 shinobu is more powerful than mitsuri she blitzes douma and then we have mitsuri getting destroyed by nakime upm 4 9:48 he fought nakime so your just gonna ignore that i know why u might have not mentioned it but at least say something 12:45 stamina endurance and durability 13:08 he was a new demon that even half dead inosuke could've decapitated but he chose not to do so because he loved his best friend Also muichiro had help in his battle with gyokko

Douma is upper 2, who are you to say Douma doesn’t know how to fight? Akaza beat him anyway. Better skill, strength, battle iq and in the end also in regeneration. My opinion is for Akaza, he didn't want to risk a fight with Douma because he doubts himself since his defeat with Kukushibo and doesn't want to die until he gets revenge because he humilated him and Akaza is too proud. His demon art also doesn't work on Douma because he has no fight spirit. Sorry for trash English
@@pavolsmicek4241 You laugh at Shinobu's speed without a mark, perhaps instead of downplaying Douma, you're just downplaying Shinobu instead. Laugh all you'd like, but the anime explicitly stated Muzan ranked his UPM's based on their power level. If Akaza could beat Douma and was stronger, Muzan would have put him at UPM2. Muzan was never biased nor had favoritism for any Upm's. So, regardless of any claim you make, can't beat canonical lore, sorry mate.
In term of power (until final arc of series): 1. Gyomei 2. Sanemi 3. Obanai (true he never faced strong upper moon battle, but his role in the end with Muzan speaks volume that he's slightly stronger than Giyu) 4. Giyu 5. Muichiro (can be number 1 if he reached his prime age/power) 6. Mitsuri 7. Tengen 8. Rengoku (Sadly, he's passed too soon, otherwise he may enter top 3) 9. Shinobu But in term of usefulness to bring down Muzan (all of them are important nonetheless, but not equally): 1. Gyomei 2. Shinobu (I even think she can be switched with Gyomei, because her role with eliminating Douma, and she's even the most vital key to defeat Muzan, due to her 'aging' drugs with Tamayo and her role in recovering Tanjiro in the end) 3. Giyu (for him to trust Tanjiro and Nezuko in the beginning of story is the end of Muzan itself) 4. Sanemi 5. Obanai (can be switched with Sanemi, since final battle vs Muzan he's more useful than him). 6. Muichiro (died too soon, but kill 2 upper moon, and the only hashira to single handlely kill one upper moon) 7. Mitsuri (okay she only acted as support in defeating an upper moon, but she stayed until final battle with Muzan, despite she’s contributing quite less impact compared other hashira) 8. Tengen (he slayed an upper moon, but decided to quit after that and only provided minor support in final battle) 9. Rengoku (his primary role in late game only act as minor motivation for protagonist)
lol, obanai ranking third was hilarious. He even said he has the least contribution in the fight even though he has the most energy out of all the hashira since he didnt fought toe to toe with um4. Do you know why he was able to cut muzan like that?, because of the red blade. And after that, the other hashiras also manage to have the red blade and was also able to wound muzan. After muzan blitzed them all, sanemi was blasted away, obanai's eyes were completely blinded, while only giyu and gyomei were able to save kanao, zenitsu and inosuke costing their arm and leg. Given that sanemi was already exhausted from um1, only obanai will be able to fight since HE IS THE LEAST CONTRIBUTING FIGHTER AND HAS THE MOST STAMINA OUT OF QLL THE HASHIRAS.
@@user-wr4qh3mt7f Not really, because Kokushibo stated in their battle that Gyomei and Sanemi are two strongest hashira, meaning at that point Muichiro still didn’t surpass Sanemi yet.
@@fs7798 while Obanai didn’t fought toe to toe with UP4, since UP4 isn’t lethal but very hard to approached, doesn’t meant his stamina (and kanroji) didn’t drained out as well, because the nature of Nakime attacks is basically forcing you to always move simultaniously without any break, as she’s the one in control of the infinity castle. And after Muzan blaster all of them, Obanai also saved tanjiro after being blinded, by using his snake as guide and still able to inflict great damage to Muzan. Giyuu is strong, but remember that even in Akaza battle, his role is 50% with tanjiro (who at this point probably had power on par with top 3 hashira level)
i put tengen and rengoku at a tie. They both have pretty equal feats and u can't really put one above the others. Sure there are some elements that can put rengoku over tengen but there are just as many points you could make for putting tengen over rengoku. If you disagree, try me. I've argued this point against so many people, its ridiculous but this is the conclusion I've arrived at.
@@mightbejoseph1590 UPM3 had to run away from a base Rengoku just so he wouldn't die, also keep in mind Rengoku was the newest Hashira as well, after Muichiro. I don't believe Tengen is capable of cornering Akaza like that, if there's a consensus about "x" it's usually because "x" is true. Again, usually. In this case, most would say Rengoku ranks above Tengen, the opponents they fought weren't even within the same realm of being able to be compared. Look at the difference of skill Tanjiro was at against Upm6 vs Upm3. If you really want, I will have this debate with you, but Rengoku does indeed have better feats than Tengen and does deserve/had earned the ranking spot above him. On a list, whether you put them in the middle or the bottom, Rengoku will always be the single slot above Tengen. Shinobu, different story, some would put her below them, some would put her above them.
@@-l-2377 Akaza was running away from the sun, not rengoku. And Rengoku is not the newest hashira. Even if he was new, we’re going off of how strong he was. Not how strong he could’ve been. We’re not talking about tanjiro since he did practically nothing in the fight against uppermoon 3. Throughout the entertainment district, the other slayers, citizens, and his wives all got in his way. When Gyutaro first appeared, Tengen couldn't use his full destructive power because everyone else was there, and he didn't want to harm innocent civilians. Then, because of that, Gyutaro slashed him, which poisoned him. Even then, Tengen puts up a tremendous fight against Gyutaro. His wife shows up and throws poison kunai. Tengen ends up saving Tanjiro 2-4 times. When everything was on fire and there were no other civilians in the way, Tengen was able to go all out (though still not really all out) against Gyutaro, despite missing a hand. Gyutaro’s poison slows down opponents, weakening them, so faking being unconscious and sacrificing a hand to stop it was the only thing Tengen could do. Tengen is an extremely experienced Hashira (proven through dialogue and the developer herself), so it's obvious that was not his best. Also, Tengen is the supreme lord of drip, flashiness, and festivals, so he excels in a 1v1 against Gyutaro. Whether he’s stronger than Rengoku is very debatable, however, because we have never seen Tengen at his full potential. The bottom line is Tengen is way more powerful than the series gives him credit for. And If that wasn’t enough to convince you, bring it. Give me a list of rengoku’s feats and I’ll give you a list of tengen’s feats. And I’ll show you how they’re tied.
@@mightbejoseph1590 He ran from Rengoku who fought him until the Sunrise, because that's how you beat a demon, yeah. Everyone generally agrees there's a massive gap between top 3 UPM and bottom 3 UPM. Rengoku did not have help in his fight, Tengen had help in his fight from a significant amount of people and would have lost if he hadn't, he was saved multiple times. He reminisced about Rengoku for a reason. Even if he could have been his equal, in his mind he didn't see them that way, he held himself back. In a flat 1v1, he lost an arm and eye to UPM 6, and was able to win and close out that fight with aid. I think everything you feel about Tengen is correct, and he's slept on hard. Just doesn't make him better than Rengoku, and that seems to be a unanimous consensus for a reason.

You can't really put giyu over obanai. I mean, he had pretty poor performances against both akaza and muzan if we're being real. (Or at least underwhelming.) And I know he was fatigued after the akaza fight. BUT LETS NOT ACT LIKE THIS MAN DIDN'T SET UP A WHOLE AHH CAMPFIRE TO REST WITH TANJIRO. So sure he was fatigued but not by THAT much. Also there's nothing indicating giyu was ever tired or fatigued. It's only something we made up because we figured they just HAVE to be tired after those fights. As if we don't already know that every single hashira has nigh perfect stamina.
Massive downplaying it's crazy. Giyu had no way near a bad performance against a bloodlusted akaza who had already stated in previous arc he was gonna kill tanjiro no matter what. Giyu reacted to all forms of akaza, even his leg types blocking it. When giyu activated his mark he almost one shotted akaza but because of compass needle he got the upper hand again and yet he was still tied with akaza, the only reason giyu lost is because of his stamina which is stated how he said it felt like heavy metal balls restraining him from moving.
You can't say " he was fatigue but not by THAT MUCH " when he literally fought to the point of passing out, way to be a hater. Giyuu fought until dawn against muzan and he along side with gyomei were the only ones to be able to react to the attack that injured all the hashiras, they only got hit because they protected inosuke and zenitsu.

One easy way to point this out is that when someone is making a serious move, the manga author will draw the character with no mouth. And through most of the fight, akaza is SMILING. So regardless of what he said, he’s clearly going easy through most of the fight. U said giyu reacted to all of akaza’s forms? Mmmm not so well though. Giyu takes countless hits during the battle. And my grandmother is better than shinobu pluss douma is trying less than akeza against rengoku douma could clapp shinobu faster than kokushibo clapped muitshiro
Golden words: if he were not the 6th moon, he would not be in 6th place. Fans of Tengen and Gyutaro come up with excuses for their strength. But no matter how much people want to put the 6th moon higher, gyutaro still remains the 6th moon no higher. His sister was not his burden, these are just excuses from Tengen fans. Shinobu is indeed very fast, however her reaction is low since she did not react to the douma. The second upper moon is also apparently faster than you think. However, we can conclude that Shinobu's reaction is higher than that of Tengen or Rengoku
The fact that daki is was a burden is not an excuse by tengen fans or by anyone IT IS LITERALLY stated by muzan himself at the uppermoon meeting So gytaru, if daki was not there was probably gonna be put higher
@@fentseboy And after that you decided that he should stand higher? Very funny, considering that the moons are ranked according to the strength of blood magic and other characteristics. However, gyutaro occupied the position of the 6th moon no higher, but you are talking about something that the muzan did not say. He didn't say that Gyutaro was stronger and should be taller, he just said that she was holding him back. After all, if he had appeared immediately, then Tanjiro would have lost, because he could not even kill Daki, what about Gyutaro, who was the true 6th moon, and his sister was at most 1 lower moon. He got saved 3 times and said himself he was a burden to Gyomei. The problem with Sanemi's scaling is he doasen't have individual feats like Giyu 1 on 1 with Akaza, healthy Muzan -Eho he blitzed from far away to save tanjiro from point blank range who couldn't even see the attack and if Sanemi can block a few Koku hits for about 30 seconds and people call him relative and also Giyu can do the same with healthy Muzan by that same logic: Sanemi=Kokushibo Muzan>=Giyu>=Kokushibo>=Sanemi (in terms of lasting longer, not saying giyu beats koku) He also Blitzes Muzan's showcwave later on to protect the Tanjiro Squad and only Him and Gyomei are fast enough to react and Also Blitz the attack to get in front of the others and protect them. Objectively speaking Gyomei and Giyu have the best performance from all the hashira in the Muzan fight and overall across the last two arcs and for that sole Reason: Gyomei>=Giyu>Sanemi>Obanai>Muichiro>Mitsuri>Shinobu>Rengoku>Tengen. Agreed with the takes ,W Vid ,as i said As much as i love Sanemi he is so overrated and his feats contradict with Gyomei's feats and its hard to scale him based on what he has since all his good feats are either Not trying opponents,nerfed/drugged opponents or with Help from the Strongest Hashira.
Did bro ignore that giyu was being helped by transparent world, demon slayer mark, full sun breathing tanjiro, and Akaza even said that he wants giyu to join the ranks, and definitely not trying his hardest to kill giyu. Also, mitsuri and Shinobu being above rengoku is absurd. Mitsuri gave up and started crying after fighting upper 4 for like 5 minutes, even though she had her mark, and Douma was laughing for 90% of the fight with Shinobu, not even trying until she let herself get eaten. She also had help from multiple other (almost hashira level) demon slayers, and still was getting toyed with. My list is- 9: Shinobu 8: Tengen 7: Mitsuri 6 (hypothetical): Tengen with mark 6: Rengoku 5: Giyu 4 (hypothetical): Rengoku with mark 4: muichiro 3: Obanai 2: Sanemi 1: Gyomei
Mitsuri fought Upper 4 until sunrise after clowning on him after awakening her mark. You actually just didn't read or watch the story lol. Nobody should take ur list seriously.
