I like the Riveria palette. I took this palette on vacation to force myself to use it. I came up with some beautiful colorful looks. I’ve been seeing Subculture at Marshall’s and TJMaxx for $24.99.
I really like Riviera in the summer if I am in a subtropical zone (where I grew up) or in a tropical area. The shades aren’t your usual pastels and they just look particularly lovely in the summer sun. That much said, I only took a chance on it because I got it at TJ Maxx.
Soft Glam and Subculture are still my favorites from ABH. When I started getting into makeup years ago, I actually started with loose pigments. As a painter by hobby, they seemed more natural to work with so the pressed pigment formula was fine to me. I need to dig these out and do looks! I keep riviera and a few others just because. But I think I want to bring them all out and do a "one ABH palette a week" challenge for myself. Just to spark some creativity and give these palettes some love!!!
I love that the sultry eyeshadow palette is so versatile because it gives me so many look options. One of my favorite shades is the gray shade, I love mixing it with the brown t make the a cool eye look.
I used the heck out of my subculture palette and then depotted half the shades and still have those. I actually liked that it was so powdery because you went through the shadows faster lol
Was super happy I picked up the Sultry when they re released it for holiday last last Christmas!. It should definitely be permanent. Kelly Gooch recently did a video all about ABH as a brand and like the timeliness of what all went down, etc that I found really interesting!
I got the Subculture palette from TJ Maxx a few years ago and I still have it, though I don't use it super often. I wasn't offended by its quality or anything either. But I also didn't pay full price for it :)
I still own Subculture. It is unique enough for me to keep it, although not one I wear often. I’ve actually never tried the Modern Renaissance. My ABH ranking would be. 5. Subculture 4. Soft Glam 3. Jackie Aina 2. Norvina 1. Sultry
I still own my Subculture palette!! I haven’t used it for a couple of years but I just can’t get rid of any of my ABH palettes yet, lol! Although I actually did rebuy Mod Ren, Soft Glam, and Norvina because I felt like the formula was getting old and ABH was having a sale!! I just love those palettes so much. Riviera is actually one of my faves as well, I love those colors though lol. Also girl, their Primrose palette they released for the holidays I feel like is their GOOD good formula you were referencing. I freaking love that palette so much! I think you would too if you had it. I actually don’t use the blush shades as blush either, they just make beautiful eyeshadows!
What a fun video idea! I need to do this! Soft Glam is my all time fave ABH palette, but Modern Ren is such a classic! I still have the Subculture Palette, but I've maybe used it twice. I really haven't used Sultry or Riviera more than once or twice. And I have never hsed the Alyssa Edwards palette. I just don't tend to wear bright or cool colors - I just like to collect makeup lol
I adore the Carly Bybel palette! I understand why it isn't super popular but it has a few of my favorite shades out of my entire collection. Norvina is another one that I think is underrated. I don't find myself reaching for it a ton because I don't immediately think of everyday looks when I look at it. But every time I use it, my look turns out gorgeous. I especially love it in the spring. Soft Glam and Modern Renaissance are the best of ABH quality. So easy to blend! Sultry, has my favorite color story of all of them but the mattes aren't as easy to blend as the others. I haven't heard anyone else mention that so I wonder if I got a dud. I ordered with the original release so I would think if it was a bad batch, I would have heard some reviews mentioning it. Anyway, ABH still is one of my favorite formulas of all-time. I would love to see them go back to this format and give us something new - something we didn't know we needed until we saw it...
I was no longer the biggest fan of the ABH formula, because its so powdery compared to other brands. But recently the Norvina vol 5 completed changed my mind. Amazing purple color story and great formula.

I still own Subculture! In fact, I'm pretty sure it was the first ABH palette I bought. I used birthday money for it and everything, went to Ulta when it came out...and I like it! I guess I'm one of the few 🤷♀️ My very favorite ABH palette is Jackie's. It's gorgeous!! PS I love your eye look, it's so pretty! I hope your next "out of my comfort zone" look is from the greens in the Odin palette, I'd really enjoy that! 🤞🤞

I am sad I missed subculture! I really want to pick up soft glam… but, something is stopping me. I think I need to declutter my modern renaissance since it is super old and I don’t know if I feel comfortable wearing it any more lol. Maybe I’ll pick up soft glam when I get rid of modern renaissance (and when there is a sale lol)

I have the subculture pallette and still use it maybe once a month. I like the grungy tones and I use a light hand with it. I didn't realize how reviled it was.
I knew the sultry would be #1!!! With soft glam following closely behind! 😂 I also figured Rivera would be at the bottom 😂 I remember you decluttering it and then getting it again in your lucky bag and being so unhappy about it.

I loved the color story of Subculture. I just decluttered it recently and remade the color story with singles I had (and some that I purchased). My Subculture dupe even has its own magnetic palette.
Yesterday I pretty much finished unpacking everything in our new house, and I realized how much makeup I actually have lol I specifically noticed how many ABH, and colourpop palettes I have. I don’t know why, but packing it all didn’t seem like a lot, but unpacking it seems like a ton! 🖤
I did the same thing when I moved. I was so busy packing and packing and packing that I didn't notice how much I had but unpacking was a wow moment. Lol
I just bought subculture, for me it was the palette that got away then TJ maxx got it in and I RAN TO THE STORE! now my favorite palette next to Norvina and Amrezy
I absolutely love my subculture palette 😅 I am super light handed, anyway, so I don’t really have any issues with blending it. I get compliments every time I wear it. I do wish the duochromes were more pigmented, but I just use glitter glue. I love it 🤷🏻♀️

I just bought the subculture from TJ Maxx... I've tried it so far and it's not bad at all. I believe they changed the formula but it was too late to save the palette. I remember switching a shade instore when it first launched and it was not good, but now I can work with it. Lol it was ahead of its time.
Jackie Aina's palette is my favorite!! I only own that and Mod Ren. I'd really like to buy the Sub Culture tho...I'm obsessed with the color story in that one.
I picked up the new formulation of the Subculture palette, and I'm really enjoying it. I was also able to grab the Sultry palette when it was released last holiday. I'm so happy I was able to get it, because it's an absolutely stunning palette. I'm so happy I have it in my collection.❤❤
Great video. I’m now into other formulas but still always waiting for them to put something new out! I’d like a cool toned soft glam. Like you said Sultry is more for going out. I want all the mattes and satins soft glam has but cooler. I have Natasha Denona’s Glam but I like how Soft Glam has a couple different directions you can go with the pinks and red. I agree! The Carli Bybel formula is not as good! It’s still one of my favorites due to the color story. Soft Glam is the best formula but it’s my least favorite due to it being so warm and kind of dark. It just doesn’t look good on me.
My favorite abh palette is the Jackie palette ☺️ I also kept the Norvina 💟 But I had to retire my mod ren and subculture last year because they were old
I had Riviera; I decluttered due to colour story..... I regret it purely because of Sail - the matte white, I believe it was the best inner corner brightener ever and I haven't found anything as good 😩
Your 2 top favourites are mine also! The sultry has always been my very fav. I also decluttered the rest of ABH pallets as I was just not reaching for them. My goal this year is not to purchase anymore eyeshadow and just use what I have. 💜💜
ABH is still a fave even if they've gone off the deep end with more recent releases, haha. I have 5 of the standard size palettes. I don't know if I could rank them. I love each of mine. I have Soft Glam, Subculture, Sultry, Jackie Aina and Norvina.
@Maggie Mae yes girl! I saw your comment and was like "heck yes!" I don't think I'll ever get Modern Renaissance because it is too warmed tone. Amrezy wouldn't fit in my current storage with the 2 extra shades. Riviera is too bright and intimidating. I like the color story of the Carli Bybel but missed my chance. I've kept my eye out at like TJMaxx but no luck so far.
Sultry was available in ipsy flash around the holidays. I almost grabbed it bc I've always thought it's so beautiful. I've only tried the Jackie Aina palette, & I sold it pretty quick so I didn't bother with Sultry. I love this Euphoria inspired look on you!
I don't have any high end eyeshadow palette, but... I think if they bring back Sultry it would be the one 😂 I got late to the game dammit! I would love to see you ranking all the Huda Beauty palettes that you have tried! (and... maybe... Colourpop? is that possible in just one video? xDDDD)
I actually just got the Subculture at the end of last year. I found it at TJMaxx and I am so happy since I always loved the colour story but the at the time it was available I wasn’t in a place where I could afford it. I am so happy to have it and I absolutely love it, it is my second favorite from ABH (after my beloved Sultry)
My first 4 eyeshadow palettes were bought in order to mimic Subculture. Yes, I have it. And yes, it is the most influential palette I can think of. This new Oden's Eye collab has at least four shades that look like it, to mention just one. ABH have never had anything remotely as interesting.
Subculture is one of my all time favorites 😆 I decluttered Modern Renaissance because I wasn't using it anymore, but I have a hard time ranking them, because I like them all for different reasons, you know? But it would probably go something like this: 6. Modern Renaissance 5. Soft Glam 4. Jackie Aina 3. Sultry 2. Subculture 1. Norvina
The Carli Bybel palette, I think if it would’ve had a darker deepening shade in it that I maybe would’ve liked it more. Because it didn’t, I just never reach for it because I always have to find a darker shade outside of this palette.
