Ranking the locket is an interesting case because the cave was no longer its hiding place by the time Harry and crew were looking for it. Technically, its hiding place was Grimmauld Place, but nobody knew that, not even Voldemort himself. So it was both the best and the worst hiding place.
I believe the locket should be ranked higher than the cup, because this horcrux can only be found by a truly powerful wizard like Dumbledore. I think it’s the only horcrux that Harry/the Trio couldn’t have gotten without Dumbledores help. Also, gringotts is a safe but very well known place whereas that cave can only be known to those who know the entire Tom Riddle backstory and the fact that his orphanage went there during summers.
The Room of Requirement isn’t that bad imo. I mean, it has rooms that caters for EVERY need. So lets say it has 1000 possibilities, somebody would have to guess EXACTLY the right thing to say to activate that room. Evidently however, Draco found it, although without knowing a Horcrux was there, and then Harry found it with Helena’s help. But in theory, it’s a brilliant hiding place
I like this video idea very much. Great video. I think you are right if your title was "the best protected hocruxes in order". I personally would say the best hidden in order would be 7; Harry 6; Nagini because she is nearly always with Tom and Tom hide's himself all the time 5; the Diary because only the order of the Phoenix knew Malfoy was an deatheater for most of the time. 4; the Cup because Gringotts is a place that everybody knows and on top of it are Tom's Deateaters obsessed with pure bloods blood status and they probably all have a vault in Gringotts. 3; the Ring because nearly nobody knows about Tom's family and the protection spells making the place even better. 2; the Diadem because not even Dumbledore or the Marauder's knew about the room of requirements. It's mostly a myth of Hogwarts and one if the many Mysterys and Secrets and it's only known and understanded from Tom at his time in Hogwarts. Long after him it's mystery is lifted from the complete D.A., Dobby and Winky, Professor Trelawney but she did not understand the room, the inquisitorial Squad and Umbridge and at the end probably from everyone besides from the General Slyterins. Okay now I'm not sure about the room anymore as a good hiding spot. Befor Tom's downfall to many people knows about the room. 1; Anyways best Hidingplace is the Locket because the spot itself would never be founder by anyone besides Dumbledore. You need to know that Tom was raised in an Orphanage and that they did go on vacations to the shore and that Tom, an unknown child wizard at the time, tortured his "orphan siblings" at the cliffs in the cave.
In the books Dumbledore explains on how Voldemorts flaw is being full of himself, he wouldn’t want to hid part of his own soul in something useless, so he hunts for grand or important objects or stuff that means something because he believes that that’s the only kind of things that’s deserving of hiding part of his soul. He’s just stupid
I think not enough credit is given to the sheer amount of stuff hidden in the Room of Hidden Things. 1,000 years of people and elves hiding things there; it should take up basically an entire floor by itself.
man this is such a great video. upon rereading the books again as an adult, harry potter really is just so bad ass. then i rewatched all the movies and i gotta say, the diadem has always and still is by far my favorite horcrux. something about the panic of harry having really no clue where or what it is during the seige of hogwarts and that being such a hail mary, then finding it, having that crazy awesome sequence when malfoy stops him in the ROR, crabb makes fiende fyre, and then saving malfoy, man... and in the movies it was one of the VERY few, only parts where i actually liked it BETTER than in the book

I believe the Diadem is the best hidden, as it was the last to be found, but not the hardest or last to be destroyed which of course was Nagini. Voldemorts mistake, with the room of requirement was an obvious one. How could he think he was the only one to find it when it is literally full to the brim of stuff?
One thing people miss..there were 7 horcruxes discussed. Harry gets called 'the one Voldemort never meant to create.' YET in SLUGHORN"S MEMORY, Riddle SPECIFICALLY mentions the number 7 , and in Dumbledores memory, Riddle had 7 rocks lined up on the window ledge. IF harry was never meant to be a horcrux, where is the one that was ?
Voldemort is indeed defeated because he is suffering from the same flaw & stupidity like most super villains = his overconfidence is his weakness. He truly believes he is better, smarter, stronger & more powerful than anyone else. He underestimated everyone & everything around him, thinking he had it all figured & under total control. Making Horcruxes IS a brilliant idea. But making them out of all kinds of sentimental objects that are in one way or another connected to himself or to Hogwarts is like literary laying out glowing breadcrumbs for others savvy enough to follow, which is also exactly what happened. If Voldy had been a lot smarter he should have made his Horcruxes out of items that no one would be able to connect to him, emotionally or historically. Just random objects, preferably even ugly objects that no one would cast a second glance at. As for hiding them, how about the bottom of the Atlantic? Going to the deepest jungle, VERY far away from the UK & Hogwarts, digging a hole under any random tree & covering it there. And if the Horcruxes cannot be destroyed by regular things, how about tossing it into an active volcano? Good luck trying to find that one, magic or no magic to help you. And I know Voldy loath us Muggles but if I had been him why not smuggle a Horcrux into freaking space as NASA or anyone really sends off a rocket with a satellite in orbit. We have been sending such things into space for a long time. Indeed, try to locate that one! Voldy may have thought he was clever but, honestly, the guy totally lacked imagination! If he had kept most of the Horcuxes on his own freaking person once he was resurrected again his chances had been better.
I can't agree with this order... Especially with putting Harry in the last place. The Dark Lord didn't hide him intentionally for obvious reasons, but provided that he himself didn't intend to put a part of his soul in the boy, actually if not the great mind of Dumbledore, nobody would ever figure out that Harry could be a horcrux... This one was hidden so well that Voldemort himself didn't realize it. Thus, I would put Harry in the 1st place of this ranking.
I absolutely see your point… In my opinion though, to count something as being hidden, somebody has to actually ‘hide’ it in the first place. Harry was 100% the hardest horcrux to find, but I’d argue this was because the horcrux inside him was ‘unknown’ by almost everyone, rather than actually ‘hidden.’
@@ZogwartsYT but unknown to everyone means exactly hidden, even in absence of active hiding from Voldemort. It was the best hidden just for this very reason that the Dark Lord didn't hide it actively, because as we know he had huge issues with hiding his soul parts properly.
