Me and my cousin would pretend to be the ARC troopers from 2003 in the LA-AT gunship by going behind the enemy forces and take them out while holding their main command post
I like the Y-Wing on Kashyyyk Islands as the imps usually tend to clump together, so you don't even really need to aim the bombs half the time to get a ton of kills lol
I think the Spider Walker is unnderrated. It's decent against Tanks, but I think it really shines as an anti-infantry vehicle. The laser is dead accurate even at great distances, which means it can take out infantry from further away than they can fire back. This gives it a lot of survivability, which in my opinion is one of the most important factors in a vehicle being great. So, tl;dr, it's good at getting a lot of infantry kills which reduces enemy reinforcements, and it's good at surviving because it can get kills from really far away.
@@brudbrud9137 You're allowed. Some vehicles just don't "play well" in my opinion. It's not because they're bad per se but the gameplay loop doesn't feel great. Hailfire Droid is like that for me, and also the roller tank from BF2005 doesn't feel great to play imo either. I used to not like the Spider Walker, but recently I've taken a liking to it. I guess my piece of advice is to think of the Spider Walker as the "sniper" of tanks, with its biggest strength being its range.
I have always felt this way too. Don't get me wrong, BF2 is brilliant too, but the maps feel lacking in creativity, the gameplay is far too arcadey for my taste, and the sound effects and visuals seem to have taken a downgrade. The first game looks objectively better and more polished, graphically superior and includes more sound effects. Take the clone emp weapons for example, a unique sound and visual for the explosions. Also, saber wielders are WAY more of a threat!
@@karotconcarne3325no it isn't. There's a good reason OG BF2 is more beloved and more fondly remembered in the gaming community than BF1 is. BF1 is good, but it gets boring after 2 hours and definitely shows its age. Cope harder BF1 fanboy
Tbh I'll always prefer Dice's battlefront 2 over the classics but one thing Classics absolutely 100% got better is vehicles. I don't know who in their right mind would look at BF2017's entire vehicle system and say "Yeah this is 100% fine and balanced". I loved classics vehicle combat and grown to despise every single one of them in Dice's iteration which speaks volumes.
The Rebel Combat Speeder has the added advantages of (a) much faster sideways movement than the Imperial Fighter Tank, making it very effective at strafing and dodging, and (b) its concussion rocket launchers have double the fire rate of the Imperial Fighter Tank, allowing it to fire 4 rockets in quick succession. In Rhen Var Harbor, I use an Imperial Fighter Tank to get close enough to steal a Rebel Combat Speeder, and then I can go on a rampage. Once I have it, the battle is over for the Rebels. When I play as Rebels, I use the Combat Speeder to just pound AT-ATs into dust at a distance. When you add a secondary gunner, the vehicle is a fire support powerhouse.
it is one of the coolest vehicles in the game, but sadly just a weaker rebel tank. IIRC the second seat turret doesn't have splash damage, whereas the rebel tank second seat turret is the most powerful gun in the game, on par with the atte top blue canon. You can move sideways to climb the mountain on harbor in the tank, then switch to the second seat and shoot the atat, which kills it in about a minute
Ayoooooo, I’m so happy to see someone make a tier list out of the classic Battlefront’s vehicles. I always seem to like amusing myself running over enemies using the IFT-X for some reason, truly one of my favourite pastimes Also happy to see the AAT being rated the bets on your list and you’re right, those things are right behemoths in the right hands oml :o
I used to love the Cloud Car as a kid because The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite movie and how difficult they are to get. Every time I'd get the opportunity I'd cherish it. Eventually got pretty good at using it, but definitely sucks compared to the other starships in the game
Loved the video, pretty much agree with all of the rankings. Two slight mistakes, though. The Imperial version of the IFT-X is actually called the *IFT-T.* And the "Droid Assault Fighter" is actually called the MAF Gunship.
Pretty cool list. I'd give spider walker more credit tho since with its main lazer you can kill multiple clones and it does the best damage to AT-TE. Other than that i pretty much agree with you. Nice vid
I'm about to sound like a huge nerd but you say Vader prefers a tie bomber, but he actually flies his custom Tie Advanced, which looks like the bomber but isn't. That's my nerd moment for the day.
I'm going to have to disagree on the snow speeder, you can rack up a lot of kills doing strafing runs on enemy infantry, it's only real weakness it has is it's easy to be taken out by enemy lock on rockets. But if you target enemy demolitions, stay out of their effective range, you're king of the skies on Hoth and you can completely stop Imperial advance. Bonus points if you steal a snow speeder while playing Empire.
you, sir, have misjudged the cloud car. Its slow base speed and rapid turning let it avoid crashing closer in towards the structures than the fighters, and it continues moving, making it a harder target to hit than the LAAT or MAF. Its guns are useless for antiair roles, but they are more than adequate for taking down turrets and infantry. Have you noticed how hard it is to overheat them? It's like the best air vehicle in the game for strafing. As a final bonus, it goes into a doom spiral rather than blowing up immediately, giving you time to bail out. Oh, and if you're using it to CP cap, it can accelerate up to at least as fast as the other fighters, given time.
all of the starfighters are goated if you use a gamepad ( i struggled to take down 1 at at with mouse steering then switched to pad and took 2 with ease)
9:17 how did they went from this to the aac1 in battlefront 2(who doesn't even show up on naboo and rhen var harbor, both maps that the empire has vehicles)?
Unless I am mistaken I believe we are missing a vehicle: the Gian Speeder which appears on theed in the campaign mode (so not surprised it got missed). It's really just a rebel speeder tank without the rockets and with an open-top, and given how good the AAT is that you have access to on that mission without having to do some grand theft speeder, there's not really much reason to use it.
I suggested this to a few other content creators, but nobody took. You should do a list of your top 10 best/most fun Battlefront Heroes from Mods. There are a ton of modded heroes out there but only a handful of them are interesting, with the mod creator going out of their way to do something new, creative, or unique with their abilities.
Just got the OG Battlefront on pc. What map is the Droid assault fighter found on? Can't remember if it is the Khajiit docs map or the Khajiit Islands map from my recollection the map took place at night
