As a French girl, I actually love Champ-les-Sims BECAUSE there's no Eiffel tower. I was expecting them to build Paris too and I didn't see the appeal in showing France with a gigantic city. I bought the game for the other two worlds. But they actually surprised me by making a charming countryside town, and it is so lovely. I would love to play the vacation worlds as main hoods.
I believe with the Nraas Traveller mod you can do that! I haven’t downloaded it but I plan to I also love Champs les Sims. Being British Italian means I’ve spent a lot of time in France and i think they nailed the southern French look. Makes no sense to have an Eiffel Tower there so I’m also glad they didn’t include it
i think on tumblr there's a main hood version of champs-les-sims floating around, but it comes empty and is meant to be a version of it in the 50's. you can probably find a built-up save for it, i remember it being a sorta popular world, less so than hylewood tho. idk
I had a bug one time where my sim went back from vacation, but Champs-les-Sims remained set as my homeworld for some reason ? Save-breaking, but fun 🤣 I played it for a bit with a random local sim, earning money by gardening, and making friends x)
Personally I liked that store worlds were mostly very themed and ”unique”, so it didnt feel like you were excluded from regular sims gameplay, but if you wanted a very different experience than any pack world would give you, store worlds were there for you. Kinda like a game in a game.
Lucky Palms' lore is SO good. When I first started playing it, I was confused why the houses in the low-income area look like community lots (there are ones that look like a bar, a swimming pool, a gas station, even a theatre, etc.), and then I actually took time (and you don't need a lot of time to read it lol) to read the world's lore, and apparently it used to be a small town but then there was a drought and, because of a river at the other side of the town, business moved there so all the old businesses become bankrupt and people started living in it. The whole idea about living in lots that look like community ones is so cool and really makes the world your sims live so believable.
@@acottonsock yeah, pretty much every residential lot in that half of the town is supposed to look like a community lot and it's such a good base for story-telling. Ugh, imagine if we could have home businesses like in TS2 so you could try to turn these places into actual businesses again - that'd be so awesome.
I always say that World Adventures is one of my top tier Expansion Packs because of the worlds. They are so lush and well designed, the attention to detail and the amount of content in that pack is insane especially when you consider it was the FIRST EP for the Sims 3. Like I said, insane.
University is my absolute favorite. All townies are so PACKED with personality. They are so lovingly handcrafted, i can see that someone went all out designing them. I love making my own townies, and i really feel like my sims are surrounded by sims who are real people, real young adult students. Absolute favorite. I wish i could play University town all the time.
Moon Light Falls is my absolute favorite world bc I’m sooo in love with the occult and the world is so great for that small town drama mixed with the occult.
Monte Vista is one of the best worlds for "gameplayers" because of the traditional families, rivalry and lore. IMO this is the only world after Sunset Valley that the developers actually put an effort to create a real storyline. If you want to play with families and explore their relationships (and a pleasing aesthetic) you will probably have a good time with Monte Vista.
agreed! i really like how some of the houses and lots are right in the center of the thriving city and others are a little off in the distance. there's so much lore and drama here and i love the kind of vibe it has!
My favorite lore in sunset valley is you have 2 families, the Goth's and the Bachelor's, who each have a child, Mortimer and Bella. I remember in Sim's Deluxe Edition back in the year 2000, the family across the street from you would always be Mortimer and Bella Goth, who started off as a married couple. I just love how they put these characters into sunset valley as children, implying you are seeing them years before they eventually get married.
I would’ve loved Roaring Heights as an expansion pack which simultaneously bans all modern objects like laptops and new cars (the ones you would most likely see NPCs use). Maybe add a swing inspired radio station. The world is really lovely and has some (although little) Build/Buy objects that are on point with the roaring 20s assignment.
That would have been such a clever idea! I can perfectly imagine a "retro" setting in the settings menu where you can turn on/off the use of modern electronics! So smart!

Dragon Valley is definitely for those of us who enjoy Renaissance Faires. With covid cancelling all Ren Faires, DV is how I've gotten my fix. But, I turn aging off, so I don't have to worry about fixing their clothes.
Yeah. I was gonna say it’s not set in the 1400s. Just look at the buildings and town. It’s more just a medieval/renaissance fantasy themed world. There are a few elf families that have lived there forever and a history of dragons which are now less prevalent, so it’s a modern version of a fantasy world. Honestly it’s like Onward but more Celtic and less American suburbia. So if you like Renaissance faires or fantasy, or want to make a modern medieval character (like Merida from Brave), this is the world for it. There is an actual Renaissance faire venue I always place in the world, I think you’re supposed to because there’s a perfect sized lot up by the existing fairgrounds.
1. Hidden Springs (it's beautiful, the Vanderburgs, Spa is beautiful) 2. Bridgeport (because it's a nice city if you have ella charmed fix) 3. Sunset Valley (because of the families) 4. Riverview (love the layout) 5. Moonlight falls (love the houses, some townies are interesting, Tristen Van Gould) 6.Isle Paradiso ( A lot of island stuff to do with ella charmed fix it's fun to play in and relaxing) 7. Midnight Hollow (with a lighting mod the world has interesting townies!) 8. Monta Vista (because it's pretty) 9. Dragon Valley (again pretty) 10. Twinbrook (I like how many houses there are but townies are busted). Also, you should go thru the sims 3 store sets and ranked them in 2021 since people clearly are buying them still it might be helpful for those guys. But I just want to hear rants lol, a lot of the store stuff was not worth it at the time and even now.
Aurora Skies is my favourite Sims 3 store world. It’s great for family gameplay because of the premade families, storylines and community lot attention to children and I personally think it is good to pair it with Into the future to discover descendants and connect it with the generations pack in the future, I also love to integrate the astronomy career since it’s a very northern theme with beautiful night sky and it goes great with cozy yet modern and minimalistic decor style!
Bridgeport is one of my favorites too lol!! Also, most Sims 3 worlds are set in different points in the timeline. That's why Bella is a child in Sunset Valley, but her grave can be seen in Lunar Lakes. Don also time traveled to get to Riverview which is why the Newbies are still alive.
If I remember correctly all of the sims pack worlds are on the same timeline but most of the store worlds aren't. Only in game pack world that "strays" from the timeline is oasis landing but I think that shouldn't really count because the game deliberately makes it more of a destination for your present sims to go for rather than it's own self contained world

Like I said in my other comment there is one huge apartment but other than that the small apartments don’t bother me because it’s more realistic, in fact the apartments are a lot roomier than what you’d realistically get in a big city.
Roaring Heights is sooooooo beautiful, I'm an absolute sucker for 1920's architecture and decor, and all the houses and appartments have such unique layouts and interior design ! As a french guy, I was also very pleasantly surprised by Champs-les-Sims, I was worried it was gonna be goofy and cliché, but it's really charming. It feels like a rural village in the 70's or so x) I feel like on the contrary, if they had stuck to the super famous parisian monuments, and stuck them in something that wouldn't have looked like Paris anyway, it would have been a lot more touristy and meh.
I feel like appaloosa plains slaps cause it comes with salon and tattoo & laundry etc all ready to go. I WISH late night had the same thing but it auto places the ambitions kots
My fav sims 3 world is Aurora Skies. That world is so beautiful. The houses in the town area is cool and the rural area is so pretty. Also, that world is full of sugar daddies. I always hook up with Adam Birch or the Inberg daddy.

You do not have to "theme" the Oasis Landing Sims after they age up. All Oasis Landing Sims have to use Into the Future clothing, and the game will only use ITF clothes and hair when Sims age up or a townie has a baby. All new born Sims will also get futuristic items like jetpacks, hoverboards and holopets in their inventory automatically so that you can interact with them using those items. All new born Sims will also have level 10 advanced tech skill. So you don't really have to set up anything manually in ITF. My favourite is twinbrook, im not really sure why tbh 😆 I like the louisiana/french colonial aesthetic. The swamp is also really cool and unique. But honestly i just like the layout and the different parts of the map. It has enough uniqueness to avoid being bland but not too much as to be restricting
Aurora skies fulfills my dreams of living in a small boreal neighborhood beneath the aurora borealis in a simple yet charming house, whilst giving me flashbacks to Quxxn's university LP and now I demand trial by mortal combat. Will be playing with Lucky Palms though, thanks for the recommendation
my top 10 would be.. 1. Sunset Valley (i recently started playing in it a lot more and it such a fun world to play in especially with NRAAS story progression!) 2. Lunar Lakes (ik this world probably isn’t that popular, but it has such an interesting concept plus the sims storylines are interesting and i love that it looks!) 3. Bridgeport (i absolutely love this world, it was my go to when i first got the sims and only had the base game, late night, and high-end loft stuff. I always played in this world!) 4. Isla Paradiso (controversial choice, but it is not as bad as everyone says it is, I play in it and have a super fun time. plus the colors in this world are so beautiful and vibrant!) 5. Moonlight Falls (this world had me obsessed with supernaturals, literally! at the time i was really into shows like True Blood and Vampire Diaries, so this world was just it to me. also how many references to pop culture in this world alone was insane!) 6. Lucky Palms (this world has literally amounts of drama and layers, it’s unreal. plus the little dock area of the world was always my favorite place to live!) 7. Appaloosa Plains (this is my world for when i want to just enjoy the small town feel, especially living in one atm. It just reminds me of home and how peaceful it is.) 8. Midnight Hollow (aesthetically this world is amazing, i love the way every sim fits into this world and how certain sims stick out if they don’t feel the unique style of it!) 9. Twinbrook (the swamp feel is definitely here and that’s what I like about it, it’s something different and you wouldn’t get with any other world! plus I enjoy some of the sims here a lot, especially the Curious family.) 10. Aurora Skies (this world is nice and quaint, it has many enjoyable this! I love the hot springs, plus this world reminds me of Alaska and i very much enjoy it!)
My first EP was Supernatural and I've spent lots of time in Moonlight Falls. It's so serene and quite easy to build houses because the world is flat. My main sims are always witches (because torturing and burning a cheater ex is fun). One of my sim had moved to many different towns and adopted 6 children (alien, plantsim, vampire, werewolf, mermaid, and fairy -- changed their occult with Nraas), before I decided to stay in Hidden Springs. I've fallen in love with that town. It has similar (but brighter) atmosphere with Moonlight Falls. While some of the public lots are too simple and plain, the houses are elegant and don't have too many clutters. The residents have interesting backstory too. I migrated my sims family along with Goth, Crumplebottom-Darling, Bachelor, and Landgraab from Sunset Valley to Hidden Springs. Another favorite town of mine is University. It's less laggy compared with other towns, so I always threw a party every weekend and invited ALL residents in university town whenever I was there. 😂 Then there's a Dragon Valley, where my sim lives her medieval life. I disabled cellphone, cars, tourists, and work outfits (no modern outfits as well) when I was playing in this town. I also removed television, video game, computer, and stereo from all households.
I feel very seen as a late night lover! Bridgeport is my favorite!! I bought the sims 3 just for the late night expansion and that's how my sims addiction started. Oh and i'd love to see an EP tier list!
Personally, I love theme worlds! (I always change a Sim's clothes when they age up anyway, so it doesn't bother me.) My least favorites are the big, glitzy cities: Roaring Heights, Starlight Shores, Lucky Palms, and Bridgeport. 1. Dragon Valley - I have a lot of Medieval mods because it is my favorite historical era! 2. Midnight Hollow - 100% my aesthetic, love the literary and history references in NPCs 3. Sunlit Tides - Super beautiful and I'm a volcano geek 4. Moonlight Falls - I was super obsessed with TVD when this came out . . . 5. Aurora Skies - Arguably the most beautiful world 6. Al-Simhara - I love Ancient Egypt, so this would be higher if it wasn't a vacation world 7. Hidden Springs - Good, somewhat generic forest paradise world 8. Isla Paradiso - My love of water-themed worlds and nature overcomes the lag issues 9. Monte Vista - Historical and with a drier beauty to it, great if I do not want to edit #10 on this list 10. Lucky Palms - I love the Grand Canyon-esque environment, just have to remove the big city stuff
I don't know if it was mentioned, but Dragon Valley is actually just few years before The Sims 2 - in Dragon Valley you can find Burb family made of John and Jennifer (but before Lucy was born)
I think Barnacle Bay is on the timeline. Don Lotharios description in Riverview implies that he time traveled back in time and some women were laughing. I think Dina and Nina pushed Don into the stream of time and also time traveled with him. They then abandoned him in Riverview and hid in Barnacle Bay. But why did they travel back in time? Were they escaping something? Why bring Don as well? Why are they hiding out on an island? So many questions lol
Eh Barnacle Bay lore I don't count it I'm sorry but I don't see the Caliente sisters leave Pleasantville for Barnacle Bay. If anything they should had been in Bridgeport or they should have created another city world like Bridgeport and add them.
My Sims 3 "homes" are Riverview and Starlight Shores. I got TS3 in a bundle with Showtime so I played a lot in my early games in Starlight Shores. I never really vibed with Sunset Valley, though I've played there... it doesn't really give me a sense of place the way that Riverview and Starlight Shores do. Riverview has some of my all-time favorite sims in it, The Brokes, Don Lothario, and The Bagleys. Bridgeport frustrates me as a person that has always lived in a city. It's like a pale facsimile of city life. I'd rather play in a rural area any day.
@@acottonsock Part of it is the fact that the game is capped at 300 sims, so you see the same sims again and again. IRL, I might see 300 people in a subway station. Another problem is that it's meant to be NYC and the sun sets over the ocean and the ocean is east in NYC. Add in the lighting and the water color and I'm unhappy. The city I know has bright shining skies and deep green water in the harbor.
YES MOONLIGHT FALLS! God, it's my favourite town, I love the Supernatural expansion so much, it's my favourite across all Sims games and Moonlight Falls is perfect for playing with fairies and witches :)
Re: Micro-managing outfits in themed worlds; a trick I learned is you can hide clothing pieces in CAS using NRAAS mods. I think a combo of MasterController & Dresser would solve your issue! It definitely does take some time to set up but once that's done you're good to go and never have to worry about it again. You can even export the settings as tuning mods to take in and out of your game (this is what I do) for when you're playing modern worlds vs themed worlds.
The Sims 3's story takes place 25 years before The Sims 1, but Store worlds are the exception. Some of them are set concurrently with The Sims 1, like Midnight Hollow (Oliver Specter and her toddler son), some years before The Sims 2 (Sunlit Tides has newly-weds Daniel and Mary-Sue before the twins were born), after The Sims 2 (Barnacle Bay) or in the distant future (Lunar Lakes). There are a lot of clues in each of these words that allows us to put them in the overall timeline of The Sims.
Roaring Heights is definetly my favorite! I literally spend HOURS giving every townie a ''modern'' makeover so i don't have to worry about having to change their clothes later on. I also placed some apartment buildings from Late Night. Now it's absolutely perfect 😍
I understand your point about the themed worlds, but I love the themed worlds. I just keep aging off when playing in themed worlds, and only age sims up if I feel like doing a makeover lol. That's also brings up a good purpose of the stylist career haha. With that being said, all the EA worlds are my children because I never play CC worlds. The EA worlds are great and I'm still trying to familiarize myself with all the lots, worlds, and sims available.
The EA team that worked on worlds really did do such a good job catering to all kinds of players! They did a lot of different things so everyone would have something they liked!
Great review! I feel the same about Sunlit tides. Every time my family go there, my head goes empty. I tend to make my family do nothing with me staring at the pink light of sunrise and sunset. 😭
this is so interesting! as builder, it's crazy to me how much the residents of a world weigh your judgement, same with the family stuff as i'm a solo simmer who rarely adds more than a cat to my household. it's such a juxtaposition to me to hear you praising Riverview, for example, as a family simmer who enjoys the characters, as opposed to me as a builder who honestly can't STAND how IMPOSSIBLE it is to add and arrange new lots to that map! (terrain is just so frustrating, god forbid you want to add an additional 64x64 lot connected to a road modless). As a builder i LOVE the themed worlds! It's such a fun opportunity to make themed lots! you best believe i'm filling Midnight Hollow with haunted houses and graveyards, Lucky Palms with bars and casinos, Aurora Skies with observatories and hotspring resorts, when i just don't care who the townies are or what they look like. i like my sim to have her own adventures without them basically, the most she'll interact with them is if her job requires her to befriend them or if an opportunity needs her to be friendly enough with them to accept an interaction.(Al Simhara is my LEAST favourite world adventure map for this reason). speaking of; my top 10 would have to be 1. Hidden Springs 2. Moonlight Falls 3. Appaloosa Plains 4. Dragon Valley 5. Aurora Skies 6. Champs Les Sims(?) 7. Starlight Shores 8. Bridgeport 9. Sunlit Tides 10. Oasis Landing
I had no idea Isla Paradiso and Sunlit tides were different places lololol. This was a stellar breakdown! Some of these worlds I had completely forgotten about. I'm a fantasy nerd and I LOVED Dragon Valley haha, but you make an excellent point about how aging up and technology clash with the world - that always bothered me too. Some of these I've still never played, but now I'm more curious.
I might be misremembering or I might’ve dreamt this up, but I seem to remember that there’s a lot of legal issues surrounding the Eiffel Tower, specifically the lights on it if I remember correctly. EA might not have been able to get the legal permission in time (or more likely refused to pay the extortionate price because they’re obsessed with getting more money and not spending anything) and had to cut it, but it does seem like a real missed opportunity.
about the timeline. Sunset Valley is set before TS2. however different worlds take place at different places in the timeline. Lunar Lakes takes place waaay after TS2 considering that's where Bella is buried. Also Sunlit Tides is at a weird place its definitely before TS2 but after TS1. And dragon valley its even weirder. Looks like it take place in the 1400 yet it takes place few years(more like a decade) after Sunlit Tides. The timeline jumps a lot so no wondering why they decided to ditch it in TS4. Which i kind of like, give us new stories but they had include iconic sims and ruin them
My view of people aging up in roaring heights is just that thing move on, fashions change but the architecture remains the same ❤ love this video, thank you for ranking them! 😊
1: Bridgeport, by a huge margin. It's just an awesome city world that has its grit and its nicer parts, a really nice balance that allows you very different kinds of playthroughs. 2: Sunset Valley. Fun world that's just generally well-designed. Really cool lore that actually got me interested in the lives of premades, which rarely happens for me. 3: Moonlight Falls: The Twilight references are kind of dated now but still, it has a really nice atmosphere to it that I really love. Helps that I'm big into the Paranormal genre though. 4: Appaloosa Plains: Just a really pretty small rural feel to it that is so very pleasant to play in. 5: Riverview: Also has a really cute, quaint rural feel to it that reminds me of where I grew up. 6: Isla Paradiso: Despite the issues with running, it's a super gorgeous and well-designed world that deserves some praise. Gonna leave it at 6 because I don't have strong enough feelings on the other worlds, these are the ones I mostly stuck to, along with modded ones like Anne Arbor.
Awww Leo! I loooove roaring heights because it gives me like a Miami vibe, the whole 1940s style was fun at first but I have edited the town to make it more modern. It’s taking me forever 😭
Monte Vista is SO pretty I will say. But for some reason, at least to me, it feels a bit lonely/isolated?? 😭 A lot of the public lots barely have sims whenever I play there. It's the only town that I have on my game where I'm genuinely like "Am I the only one here?? 😃"

Everything you said about it is valid, but i played a lot in it with supernaturals again and had a while storyline and it was so fun, also I love the sea so it's perfect. 3. Isla Paradiso. She's glitchy as hell, but so pretty. So much water! 4. The France one (i won't spell it right) - it has music from Sims Making Magic and that music is the best thing in the world. 5. Oasis Springs, is that what it's called? I like the hills :) 6. Aurora Skies - i love the fjords! Very atmospheric, also such a cute tight knit town. 6. Lucky Palms, great legacy memories :) 7. Twinbrook! I went there on vacation once with a sim that lived in Dunlit Tides and my friends made fun of me :D i like the swampy areas. Also, in sorry for the million comments - when i watch and wanna comment something i need to do it immediately or I'll forget by the end of the video :D
Just found your channel, so this is a little late. 1. Sunset Valley 2. Lucky Palms 3. Appaloosa Plains 4. Riverview 5. Shang SimLa 6. Champs Les Sims (for the nectar making) 7. Moonlight Falls 8. Oasis Landing I played a legacy where the second gen's son made his imaginary friend come to life. I moved them to Moonlight Hollow, which was so creepy but appropriate for them. The mom made an alien bff. It is definitely a weird world and the lighting is so dark it's hard to really see. I also really like Oasis Landing because there is so much to do and explore. I guess I use it like a vacation world. After seeing you extol Bridgeport, I'll have to try it again. Thanks for a great video!
my favorite world is Starlight Shores. i Always play Rich Richmond from the Dueling Singers household. i take him from Sadie Mason and Mercedes May and marry him off to my female sim. i also love Billy Caspian of Riverview. he is very handsome when you change his hair and his traits also.
my favorite town in order: #1 Moonlight Falls, #2 Appaloosa Plains, #3 Hidden Springs, #4 Sunset Valley, #5 Riverview and #6 starlight shores, Adventures worlds China and France are tied Eygpt is ehh. and future world is pretty cool. not really much of a fan, cause there is hard to place your own house, most of places are the smaller. So Twinbrook doesn't make it to my list. Bridgeport is not really a family friendly town, Im a family player, Isla Paradiso is too laggy. The rest of the store worlds are ok for me.
"Isla Paradiso" is actually pronounced "Ease-la" not "Eyes-la." It's def an A world based on looks but I totally agree - you cant just separate the problems from the look, unfortunately. And that whole pack, along with the world itself, has been known to cause irreversible lag and even corruption unless you have mods to clean it up. So sad tbh. But I loved this list and your reasoning behind everything! ALSO: I HATE occults in Sims games (not my style) but that being said I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE Moonlight Falls. It's so gorgeous! It’s so interesting to see a relatively different perspective from my own when it comes to the Sims 3 worlds (well, with a few exceptions xd) I do certainly see where the sentiment towards Sunset Valley comes from but as more of the Sims 2 player, I’d rather just go play Pleasantview lol. Tho I do love it. Where I do wholeheartedly agree is with Bridgeport. God I love this world. The only true megapolis in the Sims 3 with such a unique atmosphere, I absolutely adore it. Rly gotta play in it more but Roaring Heights is just that girl for me, I’m sorry. I don’t know what specifically made me favor this world so much but I seem to always come back to it whenever I start a new playthrough, it’s just so nice and beautiful. Plus the Capps are back and I do love them, not gonna lie. As for all the other worlds, I probably won’t rank them here but I’m a bit surprised that a few of the store worlds didn’t make it higher. Aurora Skies, Hidden Springs and Monte Vista are also quite good imo. Aaand I gotta give props to the themed worlds of Midnight Hollow and Dragon Valley, I get why someone may not enjoy playing them but I do love me some creepy gothic/medieval-inspired environment. And it’s probably been mentioned a ton of times but yeah Dragon Valley isn’t actually set in the medieval times, it’s more of like a unique place away from the world that hasn’t changed much aesthetically from way back then. Lunar Lakes really suffers from the fact that aliens aren’t a part of it. Like it’s set on another planet and all. They rly should’ve made it a part of Seasons or add aliens with the base game idk.
As much as I want to love Bridgeport, some of the weird pathing and glitching gets to me. I wish more worlds had stuff like subway systems and thriving downtowns.
Isla Paradiso is absolutely my favorite map (in concept). I would bump it up to B tier but yeah... sadly, you cant ignore the fact its got a lot of issues. This map was absolutely not finished and not patched and never will be. It glitches, it lags, it crashes. Ive gotten most of this fixed on my own game, but Ive heard a lot of people just flat-out cant play it. I love the world, the theme, the house boats and merpeople! but yeah I'd be lying if I said that map didnt cause me to pull my hair out a few times.
Moonlight falls name is based off of Mystic Falls from the vampire diaries. Another reference to the show is the founding families of the town, the Van Gould’s and the Wolffs argue who founded the town, just like how the Salvatore family and the Lockwoods argue the same point in the show.
S Tier: Sunset Valley, Riverview, Appaloosa Plains, Sunlit Tides, Lucky Palms, Egypt A Tier: Bridgeport, Starlight Shores, Roaring Heights, Monte Vista, China B Tier: Aurora Skies, Moonlight Falls, Sim University, France C Tier: Twinbrook, Isla Paradiso, Hidden Springs, Oasis Landing D Tier: Midnight Hollow, Dragon Valley, Barnacle Bay F Tier: Lunar Lakes NOTES: - I love worlds with rich stories and iconic Sims. That's why both Riverview and Sunset Valley are S tier even if they aren't the most impressive worlds in terms of appearance. - Appaloosa Plains is drop dead gorgeous. I also love that it has Ambitions and Late Night lots especially designed for it (the only world that includes its own custom EP lots). - Sunlit Tides is just astonishingly beautiful, and unlike Isla Paradiso, it runs great. I love the unique rabbit holes, like the criminal hangout being a volcano. - Lucky Palms has the best Maxis builds in the whole franchise. Those houses are GORGEOUS. - I adore Bridgeport, but I can't put it in the S tier because the clubs are usually pretty empty. It only happens in Bridgeport, because in other worlds clubs are usually full of people, but Bridgeport just has too many clubs and bars and there aren't enough Sims to fill them all. - Starlight Shores is like a better version of Bridgeport. You don't get highrises, but you get a lot of great venues to visit. I really love its LA vibes. - Moonlight Falls is a great world with an amazing atmosphere, but since I don't play with occults often, I don't play in this world as much as others. - Twinbrook is MEH. It has some really weird and ugly Sims. I do like bayou area because it's quite unique. - Isla Paradiso works great as a vacation world. It's really hard to play in it for long periods of time even with world fixes and mods. It just runs really bad due to all the routing issues which can't be fixed. I wish they had add it to every world as a subhood like China, Egypt and France. - Midnight Hollow is a great idea, but it was poorly executed. You can't even play in it because you can't see ANYTHING. It's just too damn dark. - Dragon Valley would be cool if you could disable modern tech like smartphones and cars. As it is, it doesn't make sense. I wish they had released a Medieval EP for The Sims 3 that worked similar to Into the Future, but going to the past instead. That way Dragon Valley could truly be a Medieval world and function as one. - Lunar Lakes: I don't really care about this world. It's too Sci-Fi without having actual gameplay to justify its existence (like Oasis Landing).
My favorite world is moonlight falls. Plenty of space and the terrain is flat enough to build on it without issues. It also came with a pack that is already worth getting even without a world. I don't like Sunset Valley that much because the terrain isn't flat. My Second favorite is Isla Paradiso, because of the pre-built boathouse docks, secret islands, tropical scenery and placing a diving spot in any other world was never successful for me. My third is bridgeport, because of city living, night life and it feeds into the World of Darkness-esk, Vampire the Masquerade fantasy. I don't like Sunset Valley that much because the terrain isn't flat.
my main grudge against Roaring Heights is how weird and not planned out the "appartments" are in the downtown just first floor with the "decoration" bock at the top to fit the style which ALSO adds up to the price of the lot despise nothing really being placed there. also most of the public lots are empty as hell its all just whacky. but the vibe is cool

As someone from an alpine region (bavaria) i can confirm that with hidden springs they kinda messed up the style of the buildings and i didn't even recognize this world as being inspired by the alps, the nature is okay tho
