The absolute standout hit this month for me has been Midas Touch, I am obsessed with it. Other releases I enjoyed were from ZB1, Onewe, ONF, ILY:1, Solar, Kingdom, Yuqi and TXT.
ONF’s Bye My Monster is in fact a masterpiece…song of the month and who knows, maybe soty for me🤩 Other great songs were by Epex, TxT, Drippin, Riize, BoyNextDoor, and Kiss of Life You forgot Ayno’s (VAV) Good Mistakes and Lay’s Psychic. Thanks for the video!
Honestly, Heya is one of the first Ive tts I don't love as much 😭 I love the outro but I am not a big fan of chanty choruses so I think it's just a me thing. LOVED the MV though. I'm excited to see what they'll do for Accendio cause that song is a BANGER. Actually, the entire rest of Switch besides WOW immediately launched into my top favorite Ive tracks ever. Blue heart is SAURRRRRR GOOODDDD. Album is easily an 8.5/10 for me, looove the new sound they're going for (while still sounding like Ive!!!) (Also, Ive will be my first ever kpop concert I attend in June 😭😭😭 Can't wait to hear these bangers live!)

One of my favorite songs this month is DREAM by Babymonster, I can't get over it, it's so pretty and nobody talks about it !! Earth, Wind and fire by boynextdoor was a banger too, and I would have put Renegade by LUCAS in my top 5 this month !! Midas Touch, impossible, and spot are my winners for the month. Honorable mention to Bye my Monster and Heya (and honestly the entire IVE album is excellent this time around so I’m here for it). But it was a great month for music (if we ignore all the drama) and I hope May keeps up the momentum
I legit have my exams all of April and May so I still have to listen to a lot of these comebacks but April for sure was such a fun month for kpop releases and some of them got me obsessed, especially Midas Touch, like they slayed. And I literally enjoyed all the songs I’ve heard so far like, Maestro, Sweat, Heya, and I’m also obsessed with Sheesh lmao, it’s my guilty pleasure 😭

here's my ranking of title tracks released this month that i was paying attention to the most (and ultimately became my favorites) (w/ small commentary) if someone is curious!! ୨୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅ 1. maestro by seventeen - DARKTEEN ON TOP 2. heya/accendio by ive - I CANT HELP BUT RANK THIS BABY IN THE TOP 2, like come on, this is how you improve yourself perfectly! also this might feel biased too but ive is one of my semi-ult girl groups though. but overall, I LOVE IT (also every song on the album is just AMAZING) 3. deja vu by txt - ever since txt announced their comeback almost 2 months ago i knew that it would be 10x better than chasing that feeling and i was right!! i'm salty about the length, but the concept, aura and emotions is what i love the most in deja vu. 4. earth, wind & fire by boynextdoor - i know this feels biased, but out of all most popular 5th gen bgs right now i've been stanning bnd the most and this is already the best thing they've done since their debut which will turn one year old next month. trust me, the album is also great! 5. midas touch by kiss of life - yes, this song could've been higher but the biggest minus is the length :( anywho, IT IS THEIR BEST TITLE TRACK and you cannot tell me otherwise. the 2000s sound, the concept, the references to the girls' debut solos, chef's kiss. 6. girls night by loossemble - i can clearly see there was a HUGE improvement from their debut and i'm here for it, these are my girls 7. impossible by riize - yes, this also could've been higher but it can't be bc of other songs oversaturating it, again. but i'm having fun everytime i'm listening to this song, loved the chorus led by wonbin and sohee and the era overall is great! 8. bye my monster by onf - it. could've. been. higher. but. it. can't. be. also it is their best title track in 4 years (or since why). I was ready to write "this month was just ok", then Midas Touch popped up... This song just saves the whole month, the amount of time I spend listening to it... Otherwise I'm quite happy with EPEX, ONF, Zico and Jennie. Not sure about Sheesh still, I would love if the chorus skipped itself. But their live performances were sooo good BND is nice, but nowhere near But Sometimes Heya is ummm fine? I don't know the "common opinion" about it, but for me it's certainly not a masterpiece. I loved Accendio way more
For me big clean is number 1. Is it the best song in the world no. But knowing that they have challenges other groups don’t have what they managed to make was amazing and I hope they’ll continue to grow.
