@@Thumpstrer yup also loved that we could customize the cars unlike other racing games that was my only complaint with angry birds go i couldn't customize the cart with the colors i want
It reminds me of PvZ3 a lot Including weird-ass cheap 3D graphics, boring music, energy system, limitations to players' creativity (locked grid items in BP2 and locked seed slots in PvZ3), and absolutely useless "hub world"
My main worry about this game is what it might mean for Bad Piggies. Remember, the reason the classic Angry Birds games were taken down is because they competed with Angry Birds 2. With this coming out... there's a decent chance it might mean they take down the original Bad Piggies
Wait they took down angry birds one!!!! Because the actually fun spinoff like space wasn't enough? They had to take down the actual original game!!!! What the hell?!!!!
the graphics are actually really cool. dont get me wrong, the design for the pig is terrible, but the moment you press start and everything zooms out the enviroments just looks so colorfull and cool.
I really can't understand why, even though they get tons of messages and feedback saying that the original style is better, they did that with the movie style
I understand that they want to standarize that style, but if that is the case; I don't understand why they gave us three trailers with different art styles :/
It would probably only be a few updated graphics as well as a few brand new parts and gimmicks, heck it could just be an update to Bad Piggies, but absolutely none of this other stuff, like delivering contraptions or limited stamina.
Pros: 1. finally a sequel to favorite game Neutrals: 1. Movie Design (i would love Classic and Toon more... but ngl its not that bad than i trought) Cons: 1. E N E R G Y T H I N G I N G A M E (Worst nightmare) 2. microtransactions (no suprise) 3. no INF Retry (Ruined another fun part) 4. not new parts so far (maybe would come soon tho) 5. No Sandbox? that like best part always (even tho if there no new parts anyway) (It could come soon tho) 6. Building Music (huge downgrade from Bad Piggies 1, other ones are fine but none beats Bad Piggies 1) I guess i am gonna stick to Classic
I think there was one new part but I didn’t mention it because it wasn’t that crazy Yeah there definitely seems to be a lot of cons can’t argue with that
Four words: energy systems suck ass. We want to play games for as long as we want to, not when the game says “Okay, your lightning bolts have refilled, now you can play!”
*Personal Opinion:* _It felt like one of Rovio's 'last ditch efforts' at making themselves relevant by releasing a 'long awaited sequel' to a Nostalgic game._ The game feels like Angry Birds 2. But for Bad Piggies instead. I just hope they don't delete the OG Bad Piggies, like how they did with Angry Birds Classic...
I do like Angry Birds 2 though. I’d say they did a better job with that than this, even if it doesn’t really feel like a sequel to what the original game offered. I hope they don’t delete the first game either!
@@thebananaspeedruns9275 Yeah they are playing a game that can be beaten without waiting for hour long time-gates and microtransactions in your face (!)
Tbh I would've gone C or D tier for bad piggies 2 only for 3 reasons: *Only 10 retires instead of "you can retry anytime"* , *The energy thing which is the worst thing that could be added in a game and make you wait to play or spend money* , *No Field of dreams or other maps to mess around in (idk if they are in the game as you didn't mention)*
Yeah I was being a little optimistic. I mentioned every gameplay element so yeah no sandbox. I enjoyed it enough to put it in B even if it is lacking in a lot of ways
With all those limitations such as stamina, space for building, waiting time and 10 tries for levels, I don't think it's worth B tier. It would have been B if it got rid of them. For me it's either D, E or even F tier, unless they revert those changes.
I just found the gameplay to be somewhat fun and I thought the graphics were fine too. It wasn’t completely irredeemable and hopefully when it officially releases some issues will be fixed
@@Jake.Miller I think when it's out of softlaunch you should reevaluate it (as a full game) and see how it changed for the better/worse than the softlaunch.
Everything looks fine about the game. My only problem is the fact that they asked for our opinion on the art style, and gave us the modern art style regardless. Other than that I believe this is a pretty good sequel
@@eliaspapanikolaou6151 Absolutely not. EA did nothing to PopCap, they already planned microtransactions before being bought. Actually, EA let PopCap have a better art style for PvZ 2, so they contributed to one of the game’s best improvements.
Aw man, this new Bad Piggies game really took out my favorite part of the old games, trial and error. Now you're limited to how many times you can restarr a level AND there's that awful life system??
I remember when this game was early in development, they showed off what this game would look in the classic bad piggies style. And there was also a brand new destruction mechanic in the trailers but I assume thats gone too? And the very early description of the game hinted at water travel if I remember correctly
Uh I didn’t mention it but there is a mechanic with plungers that will detach parts of your vehicle, not sure if that’s what you mean. And yeah I saw trailers with that style too. Very sad
I really like bad piggies 2 but i think 1 game has more... fun? Really I had other emotions when I played bad piggies 1 first time. Maybe because they have diffirent stylistic
Thanks for a quick early review :) BP2 looks really weak, its almost like they took everything that made BP fun and threw it away. I wish I had your optimism, the energy system, village with more waiting stuff and limited replays are HUGE red flags imo, showing that Rovio is putting money first and good gameplay second
ive just accepted the fact that the new "upgraded" versions of older video games, will never be the same, good times are gone ... let's find something else or get used to the current era
So as far as I can tell, they completely removed engines, which is just an entire section of the gameplay gone. As someone who has made a (somewhat limited) recreation of Bad Piggies in 3D, I do not entirely approve of their gameplay changes. I would hesitate to put this in anything below "decent sequel", but I can say it's a bit dumbed down.
Woah, really? That’s pretty dang cool. I wanna play your version. There is a lot removed, maybe just in an attempt to simplify everything. And also this is not the final version of the game, so who knows what might be implemented or in future updates
Admittedly I can't call it a true recreation since it's a mod for a mod of Doom and not an independent game made on something akin to Unity or whatnot. Anyhow, I figure the entire game was made under Rovio's control, and things could change now with how things are going with Sega. So really it's anyone's guess for how things could go.
I've found your channel just today because RU-vid started recommending some Angry Birds related content. I didn't even know Bad Piggies had a sequel. I used to play a ton back in the day. Just from watching your video, I feel like this game has the same problem as any other new game. Stylistically it is an acceptable, not necessarily better version of the prequel, that looks different enough. But in terms of gameplay, it is subpar and won't keep you attached for long. When I was younger, my three favourite Angry Birds games were Star Wars II, Stella and Bad Piggies. Just because of how much the devs experimented with worldbuilding and abilities for each bird, and the whole "build a mechanism" concept of Bad Piggies. And I feel like that's what the new games lack. Yes, it's really cool that you can pop and redeploy baloons in Bad Piggies 2, but for me this is more of a fix for a problem the baloons had or a mediocre update of a preexisting feature than an actual new feature. I just don't see originality anymore.
Thanks for checking out the channel! I gotta lot of angry birds stuff coming up. I agree with your statements. It’s crazy so many people love the original but are put off by this one. There are some cool improvements but for the most part it’s a downgrade. I miss the good ab games too
I am starting to notice that Rovio stopped making birds and pigs shaped like balls and they are just converting to figure style look greatly inspired by movies. Personally, that takes away that feeling of Angry Birds for me.
I SERIOUSLY would’ve had a better time playing a Bad Piggies 2 game *where it introduces a form of going across different terrain like water and mountains*
This really shows how mobile games devolved over the years, from power ups that make the game easyer but not nesesery at all to enjoy the game to "getting it showed down on your troat 0/24", and basicly making the game joyless after a few hours of play. I'm just going to download the old one again, its been a while.
Ah yes, this is literaly Bad Piggies Mobile Game Edition. Its Bad Piggies, but you have microtransactions, cheap 3D graphics, limited trys and energy so you cant binge play.
Oh boy, as a player of the bad piggies 1, this kinda of hurts The graphic style should've been like the Angry Birds Cartoon imo, waaaay better than well, legs n' all... + would still give a distinct artstyle from the OG About the OST, I haven't heard it, but I hope it's the same composer as the first game, he rocks dude, Bad Piggies OST is fire Anyhow, the gameplay seems... bro Idk what to say, it looks weird and it seems to suck Like, instead of trying to change something that already works, why wouldn't they expand the concept with new items, levels and all that stuff? This is a certified bruh momment, F tier for me (mainly bc "Look how they massacred my boy") P.S.: good job on poiting out other issues, and yea, I agree with you
I just wonder...why change a fun way and what worked? I mean, there was no need for them to change it,Bad piggies worked very well and had an almost perfect structure,I don't understand why they changed it Also, why did they change the art style? I mean, it's fine if they want to make it 3D, but at least it looks nicer and a bit more colorful,The art style looks ugly, not as bad as a nightmare but it does give me a bad taste in my mouth, and I feel that it would have been better if the game was in 2D, but anyway... I think the game is in beta so it can change
They could kinda fix this game if they: -Changed art style, i mean there are few pepole who don t mind the current, but there s a lot more who like the orginal one, so my guess is to make the orginal art style slightly remastered, like making the pig and vehicle parts slightly more datailed and colorful, so you would feel like you know the art style, but also know its different while still being enjoyable -Remove THE GODDAM STAMINA thing there is no sane human being who likes it, and definetly not thier wallet -Add back the sandbox, Might be litlle but still enjoyable expierence -Add new vehicle parts, i mean sure the og Bp has guite o' few parts there, but its not like its the every vehicle part of this world, they could think about space theme parts, i mean c'mon they literally made star wars crossovers they shouldn't have trouble with coming up with such thing -Change the town mechanic, paying for something and then waiting god awful time for it to finish just to find out you need to wait more is not nice, instead of this, it would be cool if the player had to complete a bonus level for the part he wants to "sell" -Remove Limited Retry thing, Do i even need to explain this ? -Add back PvP, there's quite a few pepole who enjoyed racing againist other players so i would be guite nice for them (This can be wrong since i haven't playd Bs2 and the video didin't talk about it so feel free to correct if im wrong) -Add back King Pig both levels and this "Feeding" Thing he had (Again, i haven t played Bs2 so i don t know if this is a thing or not) It was cool collecting the cake and all the sweets randomly, and also reciving (chance) for thing that would help you along the game, and also the extra star for bringing our biggest bipg was nice --The stars mechanic, there is some amount of pepole who don t mind it, but there was often a satisfaction for getting perfect score All in all, bit of time and others pepole feedback, and maybe it would actually be Bad piggies sequel But of course we're talikng about Rovio
I remember, we had a poll with the trailers for which art style to use. I remember absolutely NO ONE liking the movie style. Lovely to know that they’ve listened to the fans!! (Not)
Bad Piggies has always been my fav mobile game. This game's art style is fine, except for the pigs. The energy and microtransactions are going to drive everybody insane. I prefer the original...
Ever since I learned about the first game’s alien parts you can collect, I’ve been grinding to get them all. If this game doesn’t have any cool stuff like that, it’s instantly not worth 😤
Pros: basically more levels and stuff Cons: stamina to replay the levels Pigs have arms and legs (it doesn’t work) Not as a diverse option of customization.
"is it a Worthy Sequel?" *Energy System - makes almost every game terrible *Pre put pieces - Limits your creativity *Androidless - I have an android, i'm sad I would say it's only worthy to play if you REALLY want to play more bad piggies
I love that they did more bad piggies but I hate the art style it's literally making me hesitate to get the game and from what I saw (and told me) it's just a massive downgrade to the more superior of bad piggies I give it a c tier
No way Rovio spent two years to make this game and delivered something super bland. It's like going to this fancy restaurant and waiting forever for your meal and the only thing that is good about the meal is the presentation.
I disagree with your opinion the movie artstyle, I love the birds far more like they are in the movie, but I feel like without that budget (aka these sorts of games) they do NOT look good. I love movie Terence and Bomb hehe
Stamina system. Ew. I still have fond memories of playing the first one. Maybe I should redownload it. Still annoyed that they used the shitty movie artstyle instead of them being the heads. Gotta give credit where it's due, the movie artstyle looks great on the backgrounds though.
I dont know if i should like or burn it to the down ground the music is a downgrade then the original it doesn't feel like bad pigges it feel like some what good piggies
4:49 did i tell you that reloaded will have angry birds space levels? Sure im mad at the angry birds ranking videos but the games aren't too bad. Also Rank Trilogy as i told you that in the comment in the part 2 of ranking every angry bird. Speaking of that its unfair to put piggymccool and leonard in D tier, its funny to see the pig betray other pigs. Part 3 will have Star Wars I and II, the movies (such as the guy who is the judge and a guy who was a french person for example) and some of the hatchlings. Can i see your discord? Its just a suggestion....
@@Jake.Miller should Reloaded get A tier for including Space? I know but I would like to see an updated version of every angry birds games. Ok I know I hate Obama bird but.. I feel it's the only brown bird aside Chewbacca Terrence from angry birds star wars (I have it on my Nintendo Wii) and Melody from Angry Birds 2 so I'm giving it a pass. Also Im calming down a lot now so I will be more Positive... Oh yeah Bad Piggies 2 & Angry Birds Reloaded Space update teaser were since yesterday because I think Sega told Rovio to release a bunch of things. Bad Piggies 1 was better but, Did you saw that the Snout Gems were added in 2022? Rovio still cared about Bad Piggies 1 so it is fine. Chewbacca Terrence is S or A tier. Also Bubbles had an unused textures in angry birds Trilogy. btw could you make a Battle Cats enemy tier list for me? Reply to this message and see the entire message and say this in 5 sentences.
Bad piggies was my favorite games when I was young for a while. Trying it again years later I was disappointed to find the tomb world was buggy as hell with all the new platforms it tried to implement which made the new levels unwinnable for for an incredibly long time.
I agree with you. It's kinda sad that the francise (and mobile game at all) are going in that way for years. I remember the days when there wasn't skins, and even El Porkado. The first touch on Bad Piggies by me was that flash version made by Rovio and that bootleg chinese Bad Piggies Online games.
They should've gone with Old one that Crisitan The Meme Proposed which was space it would've been so much better because we could have seen what part we introduced in Ross's Space expedition
why did they move to a 3d art style? like if they were to stick with the 2d one the games would be better and maybe they would even make some sort of discovery in 2d tech
The only thing that they improve from the original (it the only upgrade in the game lol) that the ragdoll , while the original have good ragdoll it only in 2d but now it in 3d so thing can crash more satisfying but sadly the strict replayabilty limiting crashing soooooo have fun looking at thing go flying
I kinda despise the fact that they added an energy system, just like jetpack joyride 2, and the style they choose plus lack of creativity of hundreds contraption you could build. But overall we should give it a second chance and atleast try to enjoy it as possible as we can, since it's isn't reach its full potential yet.
I see almost no reason to play this over the original. The way this game is structured takes the freedom which made Bad Piggies so great and seems to throw it out. Instead of making a game where you get to build whatever you can think of and experiment to your heart’s content, wether in the campaign levels or in the sandboxes, now it’s really just a single list of levels that you can only play sometimes, with less experimenting and creativity, and the plague of modern mobile game design philosophies, like limits on how much you can play, micro transactions, etc. Does this even have a sandbox in it? Also the movie style is cringe. Can’t forget to mention that. Really don’t understand why Rovio likes it so much, they’re the only people who do.
lost me at stamina. Just because of that, I wouldn't even think about touching the game. They just took the first game and made it worse. I'd be perfectly happy if they kept everything the same but just added more puzzels.
Wait, they released a sequel? Dang I didn't even know. Looks like Rovio managed to make a somewhat good game, but ruin it with a bunch of microtransactions and other dumb stuff no one wanted.
I feel like this is a April fools joke by rovio to choose this style but they forgot that middle of making and were you know it looks good lets keep it and we already missed April fools
Have not tried it yet hope they make it good before the official launch, right now it is in soft launch so they have time to turn it around before they release it, once they release it then it would be harder for them to change it
