I love whenever it’s a Phillie it’s always “I don’t see him doing this again” but every other rookie or sophomore is like “can’t wait to see him play again next season”
Im just tryna figure out how the Phillies keep making these deep post season runs with these borderline top 15 players at their positions, kinda crazy ngl maybe its because you keep underrating them because you can't rate Phillies players high unless they are undeniable like bryce and jt
Evan Carter is just so good. But I don't think he will be a LF for long. My guess is that Wyatt Langford forces his way into the opening day lineup as the everyday LF, Carter moves to his natural position in CF and Taveras is either traded or relegated to a 4th OF role.
@@bhuvaneshsenthil9453 they just gotta add some young/healthy pitchers and they'll be a real dynasty. Scherzer, DeGrom, and others won't last long. I'm not sure who's up next in the pitching department but they probably have someone.
@@jc24445 we've got jack leiter, kumar rocker, and brock porter coming up. If at least one of them fully develops, the Rangers will be scary for years to come
This is crazy to say bec I’m a die hard Yankees fan but I went to two Rangers games when I went to Arlington for work and the first game was against the Twins when Garcia went 0-4 and then crushed a walk off homer in the 9th and the next game was against Houston and there was 9 homers combined insane game they lost but I fell in love with the Rangers and I rooted for them all postseason I was so happy they won finally!!
LMAO he puts Davis Schneider at 21st in the second base rankings because the sample size is too small like 3 days ago. And now Evan carter is 2nd in a comparable sample size 🤡
Thought the same thing, i guess the reasoning is that Carter had prospect petegry and Schneider fell off HARD at the end while Carter showed up on the biggest stage
Noot pumped up and sees the world in front of him. Took an off-season tour to Japan. Next WBC can’t come fast enough. Probably enough endorsement juice not be be tempted by a team friendly buy out of arb years and team options beyond. A good year will pay him well in ARB1 for 2025.
NGL that Evan Carter pick surprised me, but I'm so here for it. I can't wait for Langford to get called up, because our outfield is going to be insane if he keeps raking like he did in the minors this season. Makes me happy that we got him instead of Max Clark.
Halfway there! Outfielders are here… Biggest Rise: Jared Kelenic 27 to 22 (5 spots) Biggest Drop: Andrew Benintendi 7 to 23 (16 spots) Lots of drops, not much rises but there’s some! Evan Carter deserves the #2 spot!
As a Mariners fan, I hope you’re right about Kelenic. I love that kid. Hope the Braves can get him to play to his talent level better than my Mariners did.
Varsho is gonna be our center fielder unless things go horribly wrong, he is legitimately the best center fielder in the league, he was better than kiermaier was for us
I’m a rangers fan and my first name is Carter so once I saw the name of the video I didn’t even look at the thumbnail and now I’m mad he wasn’t first he was I’m pretty sure the second youngest player in history to hit three spot in the playoffs or World Series
You’re rig Chris Taylor is not average at all. He’s outstanding at the plate. He’s able to play left field every day. He is in every day player you just are not a dodger fan and I am so I know him better than you will ever even know him.
dela cruz deserves 20th, gurriel jr gets 10th, benentendi gets 30th,tyler oniel gets 15th,verdogo 14th, marsh 2nd btw happy bday brandon, austin hays 9th, lets go oriole im orioles fan, brave suck, spencer steel 11th,nolan jone 4th,I agree with evan carter, randy 3rd and Jaun Soto 1t, did u forget about soto he was't even on the list, great job i agree on everything else, great job mark
Varsho is the projected Center Fielder and it will stay that way, in about a 3rd of the games, he had the same DRS as Kiermaier did in Center, he was on pace for a 40+ DRS year in Center Field. Whoever the jays get in the outfield, is not better than Varsho in Center and wont play there.
I think putting nootbar in at #2 was a good chose I am not beaing a Biased cards fan he was given a chance and he delivered so his spot is well deserved
No Red Sox was listed. Unless he’s counting verdugo who played in right but is gonna be in left for the Yankees. Really looking forward to where he was gonna put yoshida
Verdugo is going to be playing left field for the Bombers this year. Soto is the Right Fielder and Judge is in Center. And don't forget about Trent Grissom who will be a late inning defensive replacement. If Dominguez comes back this year the outfield will be loaded for my Yankees.
I have come back 6 months later. The top two players on this list are both hitting below .200, not a big fan of your Mets takes but this was just unlucky 😂
@andrewarnold9751 doesn't matter if he's a free agent. He's ranked free agents in other videos. Also thinking he isn't top 5 in left is like saying airplanes can't fly lol.Juan Soto is currently a right fielder.
@@nathanwhite4527Rosario had a 100 OPS+ last season and was terrible in 2022. The Braves traded to upgrade in LF. Rosario is a decent platoon bat. What makes you think he’s a top 5? The reason it matters than he’s a free agent is because he isn’t listing every free agent. Only the top ones. Rosario is not a top free agent. You’re right; Soto will likely be listed on the RF list, but I doubt he’ll play hardly any RF. He’ll be mostly a LF the way he was in 2023.
@andrewarnold9751 he's top 5 because the position is super weak, and he's had 3 100 or better ops+ seasons out of 5. The only ones not 100 or more were the covid year and last year when he had eye surgery. Clearly top 5 left fielder no matter which way you look.
@@nathanwhite4527 every single person in the top 5 on Marc’s list have had an OPS+ EVERY single season of their career. Which one of these 5 players does a platoon bat like Rosario replace? What about the other ones? Compare his career to Cuddyer, who’s number 21st on the list, had 2 all star appearances and 4 out of 5 OPS+ of 100. Cuddyer is better, and he’s not even top 20, let alone top 5.
Alex Verdugo shouldn’t be on this list. He has to be in the right field rankings not in the left field rankings. Because he is the right fielder for the Yankees and in the projected lineup you have Juan Soto at left, Aaron Judge at center and Verdugo at right. If Jason Dominguez come back in the middle of the season it will make sense because you put Verdugo as backup Left or right fielder or he can still be the starting RF and then Jason will go to a backup CF. If you put Verdugo in the bench it will Judge moves to right and Dominguez in Center.
But Verdugo main position is right field and Soto’s main position is mostly LF. I know the lineup projected by fan graphs. Soto is at right and verdugo is at left. I would flip their positions. Soto will be at left and verdugo will be at right.
Varsho is arguably the best defensive player in the league, and was much better with the bat the last 2 months of the season. He should be higher, he’s in for a big season next year in CF!
Why is like every video an offensive highlight?(specifically Home Runs) My only criticism of these ranking videos is that all the footage seems to be a homerun reel while for most of these players it is such a small part of their game. Would love to see more defensive or baserunning highlights or to showcase these guys talents. I am really liking these daily videos though.
Dude sleeping so hard on Varsho best OAA in baseball and is the guaranteed CF in 2024 he had a thought year at the plate but will bounce back and him not getting a gold glove was horrendous
someone explain to me how he placed daulton varsho above brandon marsh. dude was quite literally almost 50 points worse in terms of ops+, had 120 more plate appearances with 1 more rbi to show for it
Is there a mandatory amount of games played to make the list? Because 23 games is the equivalent of playing 2.4 NFL games and just not enough of a sample size to accurately rate someone.
