Ranking Blue Lock Character Designs 

My headcanon is Nagi used to have messy hair but Reo takes care of him and made him looks neat

Except for Reo I agree with this list, the discussion about him being a rich kid is what seems to be the main focus but that disregards the fact he is rebelling against his parents. One side of his bangs being longer is probably him trying to seem less professional to rile his father up or tying his hair up is a sign of being unprofessional too. Reo wants an identity outside of being a Mikage so the fact his design is personality centered is quite fitting. I could be looking too deep into it but that's just my opinion.

Bachira is literally that one kid that did nothing but watch Ronaldinho highlights all day and I love it

TBH, I think Isagi has the best vol cover design and the contrast of blues and neon green makes it VERY striking (hah). Vol 1 cover looked so rad I had to buy it and that was the first physical manga I ever purchased. That being said, the vol 1 cover is the ONLY place I like Isagi's official green better than blue so far. Green clashes with his design. I heard someone say green represents growth tho, which fits Isagi. Also, I put Isagi in A tier design for his cute little bean sprout cowlick alone. Look closely, he and Ego match :3

Chigiri is my favorite character too- I gotta say though you overlooked the fact that he always braids the left side of his head, which further adds to the princess thing and is practical to keeping it out of his face+ making him more aerodynamic while keeping the flowing locks look. That's S tier design for me. That braid accomplishes so much.

I love Reo's design, his super big eyes and his dumb lil eyebrows and ponytail, he is so cute 💕

OMG seeing Chigiri in A tier actually shocked me (I actually loved his character design and also he's my fav character) and as you mentioned he's you fav character too ... I'm low-key disappointed but it's fine

Reo kind of reminds me of Jiang Cheng. The purple, the long side bangs, the "brother" betrayal, the heir of an important family...

my theory for why they made isagi green is because it's like green for envy and he wants to be as good as the other guys in blue lock so he does his funny jigsaw thing out of jealousy and evolves. just my theory :)

Isaki's back color is green to match the blue lock badge that can be seen on many places on the balls for example. Also they use this to differentiate between his weapons blue aura for his eye sight green for his direct shot

I'm so happy someone talked abt thinking Nagi was short. LIKE I THOUGHT HE WAS THE WHOLE TIME SOMETHING ABT HIM GIVES SHORT ENERGY BIT HES TALL ASH. But tbh i don't mind.

His name can either mean "happy buzzing bee" or "deadly stinging wasp" so his design really is perfect for him.

Chigiri deserves S tier because I love him, I don't want him to tie his hair back because I love it long and pretty

also, kunigami is meant to be kind of like a superhero, and i think the colour orange suits him well because it represents courage/bravery. so hes like a brave superhero

I love Reo's hair idc xD also his hair was down when he was in school. I think he ties it up like that because he wants to be separated from that! like the rich kid personality he had back then (and yk, his parents ofc). Although I can see why people wouldn't really like it (also I headcanon Chigiri just likes his hair flowing all over the place ☺️)

I'd say for Isagi is that he hasn't truly found himself in the first volume that's why they didn't use blue as the background. So my personal theory is that if they make another cover for him it'll be blue this time.

My fav character's design is Gagamaru's, i find him very unique and also he's my fav Character (i mean that hairstyle rocks damn)

I like how ISAGI's design is "bland" cause it's like he is just a normal guy who loves the sport and be the best

Actually Nagi is actually a bit taller he's really 6'3 and Kunigami is 6'2 I don't know why but when you Google height directly it doesn't give completely accurate height

I would rank these 6 in design: 1. Bachira (S) 2. Chigiri (S) 3. Kunigami (A) 4. Nagi (A) 5. Reo (B) 6. Isagi (B)

my ONE beef w/ blue lock designs is that the ones giving the impression that they're just, like, short gremlins (BACHIRA, *NAGI* ) are kinda tall (naginaginagi) FOR NO REASON?? like okay, i can't comment too much on nagi's height if that somehow (???) benefits his playstyle but you'd think he's shorter w/ how reo's always carrying him around... now BACHIRA on the other hand. being short just seemed like it'd suit him personality-wise, aND IT TAKES NOTHING AWAY FROM HIS PLAYSTYLE?? LOWER CENTRE OF GRAVITY CMON PEOPLE

Isagi's weapon (direct shot) is neon-green themed. His spacial awareness/predicting ability(?) gives the dark blue effects, and when he does a direct shot, his aura just appears as neon-green. This can be seen when he copies Naruhaya's weapon & his boring-brown aura, yk?

Personally I think with Isagi’s colors, the change of his aura going from blue to green represents the changes he made in himself. Blue makes me think of loyalty, nobleness, and people who aren’t going to betray you. Green makes me think of greed, selfishness, and excitement. I think that fits Isagi decently well

Isagi is meant to not stand out, the story of blue lock is basically a side char as the main char

Isagi's color being green kinda make sense as green represent new beginnings and growth. Which funny enough, it fits Isagi's growth as a person within Blue Lock. Going from a shy, friendly, unsure of himself. Into what he is today

tbh i think isagis aura is green so he will stand out as the mc as to being the only character with an aura colour that is not on the character design. the fact its neon green as well helps him stand out

The hair comment on chigiri rlly stood out, (esp bc im a girl from a girls sch where we tie our hair all day everyday) i got sooo infuriated when i see (ahem aryu ahem) just run around with long shaggy hair but for some reason chigiri didnt stand out bc of that? Think its cos of his braid. At least i see his face and it doesnt just fling around everywhere so it was pretty fine for me watching. So hearing him get points removed for hair is shocking! Its so valid but i didnt pick up on it HAHA
