was waiting to see your thoughts on acotar to see if i wanted to trust your recommendations and i 100% agree, acotar was such a let down for me! i adore tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, it brought me to tears so many times. you seem to have good taste, i'll definitely try powerless next

☺️ how many stars would you give ACOTAR? We must be outliers because it’s got nearly 3 million reviews on Goodreads and an average of 4.2 stars! Thank you for hearing my opinions 🥹 I think you’ll like Powerless if you can get over the fact that it’s sooo similar to Hunger Games haha! The main male character is so 🔥

@@lynjiang probably two stars at most, i agree that the romance felt so flat. it’s a shame because i expected such great things! i actually bought the second one at the same time, so im interested to hear what you think! powerless sounds like my sort of book, i was a huge hunger games fan when i was younger so i think i’ll like it ❤️

@@myladyofmercy14 totally agree with you. I’m half way through the second one and it is better. It seems like she wrote the first book to set up the second book. The romance has more substance now. But powerless is still better IMHO. Let me know what you think?

im so happy i came across your channel.i love your tone of voice and your views!! i read the acotar series this year, and while i do agree with your views, i also think maybe a lot of the views are biased because of the other books. for me at least alittle bit. i really liked book 2, and book 4 is actually my favorite because of the POV change. there's a lot of things SJM couldve done better, which is why i definitely won't ever give the book 5 stars. you hit the nail on the head with getting to know Tamlin, and that continues on in the other books. there's decisions made about the storytelling and the characters that are so questionable, as if SJM didnt know what to do with her characters at some points.

🥹 thank you for leaving such a nice comment! I can definitely see why they would be biased based on the other books. The first book felt like it was just setting up for book 2. I’ve just past half way with book 2 and it’s getting much better. Rhysand 😍 Oooo who is book 4 POV from? Does Tamlin’s character get more fleshed out in the other books?

@@lynjiang glad to hear you did continue! as for tamlin, you are going to need to experience that yourself but i cant wait to watch your future opinions on him!! the same for rhysand!! amd i don't want to spoil book 4 for you too much so i'm only going to say it's from Nesta's POV but also in third person AND with someone else :) be prepared for 3.5 btw, the novella, it's like a christmas special but a very good switch between 3 and 4!!
