After watching this episode, I bought a gallon of Milo's Sweet Tea while visiting family. Let's just say, I finished the whole gallon by myself in a few days. So yummy. :)

I was in Walmart once & I heard some fella yell, “Hey! Youse guys want an Arizona sweet tea? We’re in Texas now; we should drink what they do!” *insert northern accent* And an old Texas woman said, “Hush your mouth, young man. We don’t drink that garbage. Go get you a gallon of Milo’s.” I about died laughing.

As a British person that stayed in the South for over a year, the difference between a good sweet iced tea and a bad one for me is. Bad sweet teas just taste like British tea, with sugar and no milk, that's been left to go cold. Good sweet teas actually taste like they're a different drink altogether, and you can't stop drinking the stuff.

*yells at bad tea* turns to milos, “I’m sorry to yell in your presence” 🤣

Matt is the only one who is consistently hilarious on It's a Southern Thing. Just wanted to say, "Thanks Matt!"

The general consensus in my family. Milo's is for lunch and supper. Red diamond is forgetting stuff done in the yard on a hot day.

I 100% agree with this ranking. Milo's and Red Diamond are pretty interchangeable. If one is out, I'll get the other. RD is my personal number one, but Milo's is pretty dang solid.

Milo's tea saved my life during the 5 years I lived in Oregon. They don't have sweet tea, queso or real barbecue in Oregon, which is really hard for a Texas girl.

When bottled Milo's expanded into sales in TN, I was in middle school. Everyone always tried to trade lunches with me when I had Milo's in my lunchbox. Obviously I never traded, so I'd sit back and slowly sip on it whilst pitying the peasants who had milk. My aunt lives in Birmingham, so she took me to an actual Milo's restaurant when I visited for Christmas that year. I was super excited and it did not disappoint.

To be honest, I love Arizona sweet tea. I'm a fan of lemon and other sour flavors, so the slight sourness of Arizona, brisk or peace tea, I really enjoy. I even have Meyer lemon tea in my home that i make on occasion. Ofc I love normal sweet tea as much, but lemon tea is the best imo

I had pretty much given up on all bottled sweet tea until one day I saw this little red bottle of sweet tea for a dollar at Walmart and I was real thirsty so I got it. Milo's sweet tea is like the only bottled sweet tea I have ever had that is anywhere close to being a proper sweet tea. The only better tea is tea you make yourself.

I used to make my own sweet tea, but ever since moving to Florida (where the tap water tastes like it came from a quarry and probably did), I haven't been able to make my own anymore. Thanks to this video, I learned about Milo's and now it's basically all I drink. Hell, we stock up on 4-6 jugs every 3 weeks or so. I go through a jug of Milo's in roughly a day and a half.

OMG! I just saw your channel! LOVE IT! My daughter calls me a tea snob! I don't drink just anybody's tea. Weather it's home made, restaurant, or nasty bottled. I've drank too many nasty tea's in my southern life. So now I do a sample taste like the fancy wine people do. No tea is created equal. Also, please no lemon. If I want lemonade I'd ask for it. (which btw I also love) So please, no flavored teas! Keep it simple... Water, sugar and tea. Why mess with something that's not broke! LOL! I look forward to watching and laughing myself crazy while playing catch-up watchin all your other videos! I've missed good honest comedy. No matter what the subject is! 😂😂😷

Of the choices you had, Yes, Milo's is far and away, the best. I just can't believe you didn't include Publix!! That's the gold standard.

About the Pure Leaf, I have no idea why they put citric acid in there, but I've gotten used to the taste at this point. Honestly, though, the extra sweet flavor is more like normal sweet tea, because it masks the citric acid, though you can still kind of taste it, but it isn't as bad.

Bless Matt for going through that pain for our entertainment and bottled tea education.

I'm walking through the grocery store and suddenly I came upon a gallon jug of Milo's sweet tea. Before you have a heart attack, I better prepare you that it was Sugar Free. Calm down. All the way home I prayed Milo's was high on your list 'cause it had been three months since I had watched the Sweet Tea rank and it was all a bit fuzzy. I was so happy it was number one on your list AND to address the Sugar Free part, It is dee-lish-us!! For those of us who don't want to go into a diabetic coma, this really hits the spot. I’m a northerner but was blessed to be around a southerner when I was younger, from Georgia, so I got to experience real southern sweet tea and most people in the north really don’t get it lol

This episode should be called “Bless You, Matt.”

When I lived in Maine I was obsessed with Arizona sweet tea and thought they were the best. Then I moved to South Carolina and tried REAL sweet tea (including sun tea) and I cannot drink Arizona's anymore. They taste absolutely terrible now and I've realized how wrong I was also those years.

I had never heard of Milo’s tea, but discovered it at Walmart when I lived in SC for a few years. It was the best tea I’ve ever tasted! Of course, I’ve not been able to find it now that I’m back up North. Ahhh! I miss the South!! Never thought I would like living in the South, but I fell in love with it.

When I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 27, it wasn’t the thought of insulin injections/finger pricks to check my blood sugar for the rest of my life that phased me, it was adjusting to unsweet iced tea that bothered me the most😢 But 27 years later, I have overcome my sweet tea addiction & enjoy my iced tea, unsweet w/lemon every day🥳

I would say that the longer the expiration date, the more preservatives it has in it. Edit to say: while I was listening to the video he was seeming to say the longer the expiration the better. I was just pointing out that it will suck if the expiration date is super long and not to bother. Thanks to all the folks who felt the need to make me look stupid.

I am late to the party, but yes Milo’s is the best bottled tea ever (in my Southern opinion). Instant grits, canned biscuits, and store bought pie might be the sins in the South, but Milo’s bottled tea is quite acceptable when Grandma is busy in her presidential duties. Love what y’all are doing!

Red Rose ice tea was a great super market brand: 1970s 1980s. I got it often as a teen, 20s.

Red diamond is my love/hate relationship tea. It’s either amazing or just average. Gold peak is my favorite but it’s because I’ve never seen milos here in Texas otherwise I think I’d like it more.

I'm from Southeast Alabama (Dothan). I married a Marine & moved to California for 4 years. When my parents came to visit we went out to eat & my Daddy ordered a sweet tea. The waitress brought him Raspberry tea! 🤣 He called her back over and explained what sweet tea is & then ordered a Coke.

My youth pastor brought Arizona sweet tea to a party since he knew me and my sister liked sweet tea. I gave him a look, but still drank it because he went out of his way to buy it.

This is my favorite episode of Bless Your Rank, both because of Matt's hilarious reactions to the bad tea and the great set up on that jab about Alabama drivers.

Here in Missouri, which has influences from the South, but also the Midwest, some like sweet tea and some do not. My mom’s side of the family is from Arkansas and Mississippi, so I’ve had many Southern foods. I love sweet tea. Never had Milo’s until about 8 years ago. It became my go-to drink when going to the grocery store in the little town where I work. Red Diamond is also good, and I’ve brought a gallon to get togethers. Gold Peak’s okay, but a little weak. I think his reviews were spot on. The reason the other teas fail is because they add lemon flavor where it doesn’t belong. It’s like they took unsweetened tea, added lemon flavor (which if they stopped there would probably be okay if you like unsweetened tea), and then they added sugar. It would be like having strawberry milk (which isn’t my thing, but I understand why some like it), and then adding pickle juice to it. You’ll never catch me with any of the nas-teas. Red Diamond or Milo’s. If someone gave me a Gold Peak and that was the only option, I’d drink it. I wouldn’t pay for it. By the way, I went to California for work a few years ago and asked for a sweet tea at a chain restaurant, where in Missouri I’ve ordered sweet tea with no problems, and I was told they don’t make sweet tea in California. I appreciated the honesty. If you can’t make good sweet tea, just stick to what you know.

As a fellow Texan myself Milo's will always be my sweet tea of choice over any brand I purchase the regular, extra sweet, lemonade and rasberry by the gallons, half gallon and pints. Milo's will always be Texas State Drink, fun fact did y'all know that my great and beautiful state had her own Embassey in London England if y'all do believe I highly recommended y'all look it up.

On the go homemade: fill mason jar with water and ice. Put sugar to taste in it, drop a tea bag in, and screw the lid on. Let that sugar settle to the bottom while it sits in the car, on the boat, in your cooler, on the job site. When you want to enjoy, take out the tea bag, relid, and shake the sugar in.
