that’s kind of the intention for skyrim anyway. It’s clear the design was more focused on having one character versus making many different ones. Same thing happened with fallout 4. There’s a certain threshold you reach where it’s all just one big mono-do it all build.
@@lucasramey6427Yes, but mages aren't restricted by only being able to shoot one arrow at a time or kill one person at a time. Spells like Unbounded storms obliterate everything nearby. Use the right gear and potions and you can cast indefinitely while doing over 140% more damage.
I once played as a wood elf living just outside Riverwood that turned into the most daunting Highwayman preying on game & caravans alike. Then when I was done eati- I MEAN LOOTING the bodies I’d slink back into my little hidden grove & repeat the cycle 😩😩
The most fun build I had. Plus with pacify you could sometimes unlock unique dialogue from aggressive NPCs. The play style of going invisible, slitting a throat, casting fury, and disappearing again was soooo badass.
Playing a werewolf is like playing as an above average mob playing as a vampire Lord is like playing as a secret boss fight that is damn near impossible to beat thanks bullshit hacks like throwing enemies around
Fr, like to be fair I was able to run the whole werewolf peek tree in just one transformation but the strength you get from that and the perks that come with it are WAYY more deserving than the dogshit category
@@giuseppedicarlo1659on my first playthrough ever on skyrim I ran a conjuration/theif/assassin/vampire lord/Werewolf/Archer/Stealth/ build where basically I would sneak around using the bound arrow ad a stealth archer. But then pop open the dremora lords whenever I got caught. It was pretty brain dead ngl
That was my first build back in 2011. I only got to about level 40ish but I still remember it being some of the most fun I've had with Skyrim. Nord with steel armor and a skyforge battle axe. 10/10
I wasnt even trying to do a build on my first try. My brain just went "oh hey! This does a lot of damage! Oh hey! This armor protects me more than my other armor!"
Two of my favorite builds were an Orc, Warhammer wielding warlord essentially lol. I remember painstakingly gathering the right resources to upgrade my orcish armor and dawnguard helmet and eventually I just decided to start smacking whiterun guards around and see how long I could hold out. The sight of a helmeted striker amongst piles of dead city guards was very cool lol. The other was more thought out. I made a high elf knight character, basically orphaned from the dominion with no initial magic use. Using a greatsword and steel armor and starting as a noble defender. But eventually he contracts the vampire virus and his mind and morals start to erode into a villain.
ngl my 1st experience i do paladin build, then next time i do archer assassin build 😂 its broken but pretty boring ngl it's like a chores when high lvl mob arrived
I am now no longer a pure mage, I found an Ebony sword and I really like how it looks so I am using it along with bound sword, still mostly using magic though
@@Reinfall. wow u guys luv magic dat much huh, i never use any magic build.. what makes it dat gud tho? in legendary difficulty magic dmg r so low compare to dual wield 1-h sword (+enhanced it can reached 500 dmg point)
The fork and knife with fire and lifesteal, and you wear the chefs outfit, that is the peak build, get ring of namira and eat that freshly roasted meat. Cannibal chef is probably the most unique build and super fun
@AQS521 I played this modlist with over 1100 mods on it, and god damn it was one of the most fun times I've ever had playing as a mage in skyrim, the list had an expanded and reworked skill tree for EVERY tree, like literally hundreds of new skills and mage abilities, good time.
Everyone talkin' shit until they get arrested and get all their weapons and armor taken away and the mage is standing there, casts dragon skin, muffle and invisibility, then sneaks out and if they get caught anyway, they start fucking up the guards with lightning bolts
Pure mage build is goated, probably one of the few games where you actually feel like a very powerful mage, using those master and expert level magics, and you also get a wizard school storyline
I did a warrior necromancer build...it surprisingly worked well, use my summons to tank a bit more damage and go swinging my mace right behind them, summoning more when I got the chance...
Battlemage is my favorite. Heavy armor with a sword, destruction, illusion, and conjuration magics. I never found joy in the stealth archer build. Battlemage is OP as well, yet fun to play at the same time.
@@chandlerapplegate7603I have been looking for this comment for so long dude battle mage, warrior mage whatever you wanna call it is so OP and so much fun
One hand sword + empty hand is underrated and versatile. Quicky switch spells, staffs, weapons, etc, and have a weapon at all times. Not to mention, it gives off main character vibes like no other build.
Am playing a Breton vampire lord mage hoarding tons of loot for making the ultimate set of equipment and am loving it. Getting hit by fire during the day even as a Breton with a ton of perks in alteration is pretty much a game over
I wanted to do a pure destructive mage build, but I realised there is litterally no way to kill dragons efficiently so I went dual wielding conjurer and it's the most fun I ever had with skyrim.
For how expensive spells are you really shot yourself in the foot for no reason. Wizards wouldn’t see a sword worth 1200 gold and just be like “weapons are for bitches”. I see that and go “ooh new spells or I can work on enchantments”
Any one-handed weapon and a shield is honestly just way too much fun- getting into the rhythm of shield bashing is great, and genuinely makes combat feel a lot more dynamic.
what variety? its skyrim magic. you got 3 different flavors of shit in destruction. lack luster healing and useless poison and anti undead magic in restoration. armor spells and then a bunch of useless shit in alteration. useless beyond the midgame illusion spells. and then a variety of flavor for summoned creatures, weapons. and then useless necromancy because after midgame everythings to high level. and even then. your magicka to damage ratio is utter trash without exploits
Some of y’all don’t mage right and some of y’all deff know what’s up utilizes all the magic not just destruction and conjuration. Legendary runs are the best it makes you use enchantment and alchemy otherwise yes you are going to die a lot the point of hard mode in most games aren’t just for difficulty purposes it’s also because you understand the mechanics of the game and when/how to use them. That’s why everyone should skip easy mode that’s just to learn the map basically start on normal or hard you can learn the map as you go while also figuring out how the potions and whatever else buffs you along the way. ❤❤❤
some of us like to not do the alchemy and enchanting exploits. so while both those with just intended levels of improvement are useful it still doesnt help mage as much as smithing helps everything else. as for the spells outside healing, the three damage types, and armor spells the rest are negligible in use. and conjuration is busted while necromancy is lackluster. skyrim took magic and saw how powerful and actually versatile it was in the previous games and completely gutted it for Skyrim's puddle depth when it comes to actual mechanics. @@maddragon8738
I mean he's not wrong I'm playing a pure magic build right now pure magic means no putting points into hp I've already hit the def cap and using a mod that makes ward block arrows and light weapon attacks and I still die instantly and trying to insta kill things doesn't really work on legendary with magic it falls off fast
@@アンドロイド-e9gYou don't have to spec into Stamina or Magicka if you use the 3 best skill lines in the game, Alchemy Smithing and Enchanting makes legendary a cake walk. I'm not even talking about exploits either unless you consider 100% cast reduction one despite it being a staple since Morrowind, meaning you can put all your attributes to health and not worry about the other resources.
I feel called out, because every build I ever ran ultimately ended up being Summoner Warrior Craftsman Stealth Archer. Because the best armor you can get is your own, the best magic you can use is Conjuration, the best conjured weapon is the bow, and the best way to use any bow... is from stealth.
@@redcell9636my first playthrough was pure mage and it was fun. Like why not do something you can't in real life. Sure, you can't cut npcs in real life but you can indeed swing swords and shoot arrows. But magic ? That's not happening irl
Pure mage works best if you have enough knowledge of the game to use all of the bugs and poorly programmed/balanced mechanics to your advantage. I'm talking Necromage+Vampire Alchemy Enchanting Dragonskin All Maker Stones Aetherial Crown+Ritual Stone Destruction staff+Impact And all the busted crap from AE
I like to do the " alright lets play normally " then by the time i reach whiterun i made a potion that gives me %92883491 crafting and upgrading in one ring after mixing a few fish berries salt and flower together
I like to think there’s another called the glitched mage where you do like 5 glitches and get endless magicka and strongest spell and maxed destruction
I just hate dual wield, at least on legendary, because you just become “tank hits, power attack”, unfortunately without mods you have no way of dodging attacks cause of the crazy aimbot, so you have to bait forward power attacks for the whole fight. At least having block means you can engage with the stagger system
One of my favorite memories in gaming is figuring out how to make armor and weapons with stats beyond the normal maximum using a combination/cycle of alchemy enchanting and smithing. No walkthroughs, no word of mouth, just me.
Summoner warrior was just so much fun "Oh what's that? I'm going to have to leave all my weapons behind so I can sneak into this party? That's fine, I'll just magically generate my own weapons"
The mages in Skyrim didn't really have anything culture left because of years of neglect. It makes sense why it was like that. People literally sneer at you if you ask where to learn magic. I like what they did with magic. Besides, there are some amazing spells in Anniversary Edition, especially for conjuration and destruction
Dual wielding has the most DMG output And what paladin class is I don't even know.. blocking doesn't works in Skyrim.. How is it good to play as paladin.. let's face it that Skyrim has only one viable class and it's alchemy enchanted dude
Dual Wielding is my go-to melee fighting style. Especially Dual Wielding Blades enchanted with Drain Health and Drain Stamina. A tank with unlimited power attacks. So much fun!
Me: * makes a warrior/stealth/archer build but quickly becomes a one hit god build that somehow manages to become both vampire and werewolf and also somehow manages to collect every unique weapon and item *
Soloing high level fortresses and dungeons as Werewolf is the most freaking fun I ever had in Skyrim and I'll never look back. Pure Mage is also incredibly powerful. It's the stealth archer that's hella boring...
