Two of my childhood faves! My top three segments are The Crate, The Raft and Something to Tide You Over.

Poor Don Keefer! First he's turned into a Jack In The Box toy on TZ "It's a Good Life", then in "The Crate" he's gobbled up by "Fluffy" the crate monster. What bad luck! LOL 🤣 Thanks for another great video! 👍💯

Hey, Anthony! I wasn't aware of the Creepshow films until I was in high school, and I only was able to catch a moderate amount of each when they popped up on Starz. But I love a good anthology, and The Raft was definitely a moment I've never forgotten. 😭😭😭 Had no idea that Stephen King was in this! His facial expressions look so bizarre and cringe-worthy. Derae put me on to #5, when she played a clip in the horror livestream game. Quite gross! Your rankings/breakdowns are always on point, man! Enjoyed this one immensely. 😎😎😎

This brought me way back 😅 There are some I don't remember but I definitely remember a few .. the Chief Wooden Head episode, The Hitchhiker, the Raft, the Crate 😄I remember watching these at my friend's house.. his dad had a huge collection of movies... "Thanks for the ride lady" That's my favorite line in my favorite short film from them all and the Raft.. because I was a kid when this came out and you get a glimpse of "boobies"🤣🤣 as a kid you'll always remember 😅😅 This was awesome bro!

Awesome ranking Anthony- I stayed over a friend’s house and we must have watched The Crate 4 or 5 times. Later I saw Creepshow 2 in the theater and The Raft would rank pretty high on my list. Happy New Year! 🎆

The raft is my absolute favorite. I love the story it’s based on and this adaptation is even better. Tom Savini’s effects are gory and fantastic and the way the creature is brought to life is just super creepy. Nice to see you branching out into other anthology stuff. We ever gonna get any videos on Tales from the Darkside, Amazing Stories, or Tales from the Crypt? Love your channel!

What an awesome way to bring in the New Year! :) These are certainly some of the best anthology films out there - I`m a sucker for Tales From The Crypt and these are definately in the same vein! :) Loved hearing your thoughts on them! :)

I read the Raft before I saw the movie. King included it in Skeleton Crew, second book of short stories. It was, to me, the best of Creepshow 2. Creepshow was my favorite movie in '82/'83. Didn't know it wasn't an actual comic until I started combing through NYC comic book stores and found Tales from the Crypt, et al, and Bernie Wrightston, EC Comic's main artist. Shout out to John Harrison's original score in CS1. Last thing (heh heh), Adrienne was married to John Carpenter when they made CS1. Carpenter was filming The Thing when CS1 was being filmed, and I believe that's the Easter Egg on the side of The Crate: Lt. Carpenter, Arctic Expedition. Yeah yeah, I know The Thing was Antarctica. Btw, Fluffy's head is currently sitting under glass in the lobby of Tom Savini's office. Just call me Billie!

I was looking through a box of DVD’s and found Creepshow. I showed it to my dad and he was so happy I found it. He told me about his time watching it, on a business trip with his dad. They went to a movie dinner combo, where you eat dinner and watch a movie. And Creepshow was the movie that night. And after watching it, that must have been an experience of a lifetime

I have very fond memories of the Creepshow films. Saw both at the theater first run. And I always wanted Joe Hill's bedroom as a kid. I always thought it was cool he had the Shogun Warriors Rodan. This was a really novel idea for an episode. And can't argue with any of these choices. Not sure about the order, it's been awhile since I've seen them, but this is pretty much my ranking as well. The Raft is definitely one of my favorites and I reference that ending all the time. Great stuff, Ant-Man.

Haha! LOVED this video dude! Great memories of these movies. That Ed Harris disco dancing cracked me up and the inclusion of Crispin in Friday 13th sent me over the edge 😂 Really nice to be reminded of all these segments, the Hitchhiker was my favourite of them all, I never forgot that story and it prompted a lifetime of saying "Thanks for the ride, lady!". I can't believe that was Holt McCallany in Old Chief Wooden Head! I did a double take. Loved that story too, George Kennedy was a legend. This video was a very pleasant surprise! I am certainly not an expert on Creepshow, having only seen the original many years ago, so I can't really comment on what my rankings would be, but watching this video made me remember so much of what I loved about the first movie back then. I really need to give it another watch and check out Creepshow 2 which I had no idea was actually good. I have seen a few episodes of the new TV series and I thought it was pretty well done to be honest. Happy New Year, Anthony! Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us in 2023!

For me? The end all, be all is The Raft. Absolutely horrified 7 year old me and made me terrified of lakes/ponds. A fear I still harbor today at age 41.

I remember seeing Part 2 in theatre (I was a bit too young when part 1 came out). I think I like the Crate segment best. Happy New Year buddy! All the best in 2023

Fritz weaver appeared in two The Obsolete Man and third from the sun. And Don keefer was in the most famous Twilight Zone Episode Its a good life

That was a great analysis. I can see a lot of elements of old Twilight Zone, but this veers more into what I remember from Tales from the Darkside.

I like how in The Raft, the guy rolls a joint, tucks it in his Speedos, swims out to the raft, then once aboard he produces said joint and lights it up ! Definitely my favourite story though.

Excellent list and specifically your top choice! Glad to see the Hitchhiker up there, too - that one scarred me as a kid, yet I think it's hilarious now. Also, I highly recommend the Creepshow TV series. I was hesitant about it at first, but it won me over. Every episode is like a love letter to horror.

Awesome video as always. To me the original Creepshow is the very best horror anthology feature film. Something To Tide You Over is my fave due to Leslie Nielsen’s performance. I find them hard to rank as they work so well as part of the whole. Creepshow 2 I was a little disappointed with but The Raft was probably my fave from that one. Happy New Year bro.

Oh, man, my favorite! Creepshow stole my heart when I was about 8 years old and the second film was pretty damn good too. Every freakin' story is awesome so this ranking is so much fun to watch. Jordy's story, They're Creeping Up On You and Something to Tide You Over were always my favorites but man, it'd be really hard for me to rank all of these. If I had to choose, though, I'd choose the first movie over the second one but only if I had to! Lol.

I love the EC Comics Tales from the Crypt and Creep Show. I watch Tales from the Crypt and read the comics. I love a good blend of horror and comedy. It's a plus that Stephen King is in Creep Show the King of Horror himself. Excellent list and I agree with every ranking.

A Happy 2023 to Anthony & other viewers. I'm not going to comment on this one yet, nor the previous video you did concerning "The Lateness of the Hour", but plan to do so soon. (My remarks on the _TZ_ episode just mentioned have been started on at least three occasions and nothing to show for it--last night I was literally on the last few sentences, but fell asleep at the keyboard and had everything wiped out. I had what I thought to be a rather clever title for it during one of my aborted attempts last month ..."The Lateness of the Year". Oh, well. I'm holding off on those because I wanted to provide the answer to my December _Twilight Zone_ quiz. I don't know if anyone got it, but I asked about which episode had both Death and the Devil mentioned, and the two playing significant roles in it, but neither is ever seen. The answer? "Still Valley". The premise has a Confederate scout named Paradine ride into a town that appears to be deserted except for a regiment of Union soldiers. They are alive, but frozen like statues, unable to move even a muscle. As always, your video was excellent. I was shocked when the raft came in at number 1; it's my personal favorite but many guests I've showed it to don't usually like it. 🙄 I guess because the college kids aren't horrible people, they're just out trying to have some fun. Good ranking! I’m newer to these movies having only seen them each once a year ago. But I’d definitely agree with the two at the bottom. My three favorites are: 1. The Raft 2. Something To Tide You Over 3. Father’s Day Also idk if you’re a fan of the V/H/S horror movies but if so I’d love to see you rank those segments!

I wasn't sure If I had watched this video before. This is a great list! I love Creepshow 1 and 2. I would not recommend Creepshow 3 at all. It was so horrible. I'm so happy it was revived as a series years later.

Creepshow 3 is okay and underrated. Some of the stories like the hotdog are very well put together

I’m not gonna lie, I hate The Raft. It’s just not good in anyway. The villain is super unintimidating, the characters aren’t fun to watch, and the none of them deserved to die except for that jock dude. The others didn’t do anything besides smoke some weed, which the first one to die doesn’t even do. The Jock abused and threatened his girlfriend, so he deserved what was coming. The only other thing that any of the characters do that deserves death was when Pancho felt up the girl but it didn’t feel necessary or logical for him to do that so it was just uncomfortable to watch(even though I was alone). Over all, the Raft is the worst

I highly recommend the Creepshow TV series to anyone who enjoys these movies or horror anthologies in general. You can tell as you're watching that it's a labor of love that was made by and for fans of the original. Season 3 was kind of rushed out and it shows, but the series still definitely has more hits than misses in my opinion.
