These episodes have a lot of intros because obviously a fight has to start for some reason so let's go ahead and rank them. #savedeathbattle Patreon: / nemesisbloodryche
Tracer and Scout is very in character. Scout running to guard the intelligence that’s been stolen, flirts with a pretty girl, Tracer tries to leave, Scout won’t tells her to put the intelligence back, she refuses cause Overwatch needs whatever it is the intelligence is, and so they fight. It’s very much in character for these two
I thought it was going to be death battle video intros like “Born to dying planets and sent to brave new worlds these two aliens saviours are legendary, And everybody wants to know who would kick who’s ass in a fight” And not the fight intros
On the topic of Videl: - Gohan says in the manga pre tournament "She doesn't realize she is already stronger than her dad". Who again, as you guys mentioned, pulled 3 buses. - She kicks Spopovich, who is magically enhanced super athlete, so hard, it breaks his nick. She is actually winning that fight until the majin immortality starts showing itself. - This is from a movie, so I dont know if you want to count it, but in Broly Second Coming, she takes a direct punch from Broly (who at that point is at least SSJ2 level) and survives.
I’d be interested hearing a list about how accurate Godzilla feels in each of his movies, like “does this feel like Godzilla”, “would Godzilla do something like this”, etc.
@@ectospassmta8493Heisei, Kiryu saga and Monsterverse are (conceptually at least) consistent in personality and Showa Goji has a surprisingly subtle, if potentially unintentional, character arc from Raids Again to Destroy All Monsters (the canonical ending to the Showa era).
@vaggos2003 yeah, from accepting help with reluctance in Ghidorah to actively helping in vs Gigan In fact, considering extra material said Anguirius fight him in Raids because Godzilla is a violent monster, they becoming friends show how he changes
@@marrvynswillames4975 The first is very true and goes even beyond that, although for the second one it's more debatable since his friendship with Anguirus feels like a straight up retcon instead of character development.
41:34 Thank you for bringing up that this is just an inconsistant Boom thing. I suppose that means i can finally stop telling you that Knuckles is not dumb as bricks.
I guess the right term would be "setups". When I saw "intros", I thought of the way Wiz and Boomstick introduce the matchup before getting to the analyses. 9:13 WILFRED WARRIOR 😹😹😹😹😹
Ragna VS Sol....I mean, yeah, basically. Ragna has a massive bounty, Sol is a bounty hunter, so honestly, it's impressive they managed to almost fuck it up.
20:24 I'm trying to think of when in Dragon Ball Super Goku just takes a swing on someone when they say no to a fight. Am I crazy that I can't think of a single moment where that occured? Was it anime only stuff? Like usually if anything he just begs harder until they say yes.
I'd actually call Mewtwo vs Shadow's intro atrocious because in no world outside of fucking Sonic Boom could I see Shadow trying to fucking murder a Zubat for just being near a Chaos Emerald over just using his Super Speed to run up and grab it
it would be better if darkseid was like midway era reiko, randomly going to sit on thanos' throne and putting on the infinity gauntlet because he's bored
To be fair, he does have his moments of smaller and more petty crimes in the comics. From what i understand, the general explenation behind this is that Joker's insanity makes him believe that all of his crimes are just a part of the big joke regardless of scale.
actually it's Nick Bruiser, the champion of Super Punch Out!! that lost to Glass Joe. and it wasn't so much an accident so much as it was Nick forfeiting the match because he knew punching Glass Joe would've immediately killed him. Following that, Nick retired from boxing.
Maybe rank the ending scenes? Like after the first superman vs goku we see goku's shoe floating through space and in hercule vs dan we see Hercule dancing on the music machine while dan is in heaven crying to his father.
For Frank Vs Leon, I'm pretty sure that what happens is Leon finds Frank taking stuff and asks him what he's doing in this place and that is not safe (likely because of the zombies, you know, they are zombies), to which Frank very wisely decides to go 'Nah I've covered wars' and ram his shopping cart into Leon like a maniac. Which, is still not good, usually Frank gets put into fights with others because said others ARE maniacs that instantly try to murder him, while Frank usually ranging between confused and just done. So I would either leave it where it is or just put in bad, since at least Leon acts like he just found a civilian where one shouldn't be, which he did.
12:58 - Rain is the one who instigates the fight with Taven, what are you talking about? Taven tries to be amicable, to which Rain not just aggressively rebukes him, but quite literally says "I'm going to kill you", to which Taven says "Alright then, bring it"
@@vaggos2003 the other instances that Nemesis were making fun of were accurate, though; getting things wrong doesn't make sense unless the joke IS getting things wrong, which this wasn't meant to be
@@saorlathesurly Fair enough, although the joke still kinda works, since this is still two characters interracting with one of them saying "imma kill you now", although as you pointed out it made enough sense on that specific case, so it was a bad example on their behalf. I guess it also shows the difference between Midway MK writing and NRS MK writing, the one is eaaily more defensible than the other. On an unrelated note tho, the Rain and Taven exchange does highlight a major issue with Armageddon's Konquest Mode, all the pre-establisged MK characters are forced to the sideline so as to be mere plot devices/obstacles at the conflict of the two new totally awesome OCs, Taven and Deagon, because truly, the end of the stories of so many classic characters is truly about those 2 newbies, and as a result most classic characters in the story exist to just fight Taven, with some of the fight setups being pretty contrived.
@@saorlathesurlyYou don't know my intentions cretin, silence. But yeah, I did remember it backwards, forgive me for not perfectly remembering the goated MK Armageddon story mode interactions exactly as they were. I was conflating how Taven tells the monks in the area that he doesn't have time for or care about them and how comedically willing everyone is to violently murder someone.
A common setup that Death Battle seems to do that I hope they bring up is that Star Wars Death Battle just have said Star Wars character showup to the other characters world/area to fight. Doom vs Vader being the last time there was a Star Wars location in a Death Battle
I read the title of this video and thought they were going to rank the intro, like the beginning of the actual RU-vid video, and how good or bad it is. I’m kinda disappointed it’s not that
You actually got Naruto vs Ichigo a bit wrong so let me correct you: Naruto is sitting under the waterfall meditating. And while he is doing that Ichigo comes across him. He senses the energy he is admitting and go “what’s that energy? Is that a hollow?” And while Ichigo approaches Naruto, Kurama tells him that he senses a presence. And of course Naruto does the funny and falls asleep and Kurama yells at him to wake up. He never tells Naruto to attack Ichigo, he just warns him that he is in danger. So even with that, it’s still not a good reason to fight. Most of the stuff you said about Ichigo still applies and he wouldn’t just attack. But then it is still somewhat understandable right? The reason I still think that this is one of the worst intros to a fight actually happens a few seconds after the fight begins, but it is still near the beginning so I count it. After Naruto dodges Ichigo’s attack he yells out loud for the entire universe to hear “WHOA HE’S INVISIBLE!!!😮😮😮!” And IMMEDIATELY AFTER that Ichigo says “he can’t see me? Good”. So I’m not too familiar with Bleach, but can’t hollows see soul reapers? So if Naruto couldn’t see Ichigo, shouldn’t that tell him he made a mistake? Why would he still keep attacking him if he knows he can’t be a hollow, that is the whole reason he thought he was a threat? So yeah, I would still put this in atrocious, still in my top 10 tho.
That's actually a point I think makes sense. But even if he were a hollow, Ichigo has learned that there's a lot of nuance to hollows and wouldn't attack one if it didn't seem hostile.
Sonic can be a show off but he's only a dick to people like shadow and eggman he's a very nice and chill guy when he's with he's friends he would never just take someone chair for no reason.
44:42 dan is actually an extremely competent fighter its just he's a joke compared to people who are skilled like ryu or sakura etc i think dan is strong enough to beat dbz no names at the very least
