Sorry videos have been taking so long guys, I've been trying to change up my editing style and learn some new tricks, but I've also had some stuff going on outside of youtube that have slowed me down a bit, but hopefully this video was worth the wait :) I've been excited to talk about this show for a while now
Totally understandable, Jem. Any video made by you is always worth the wait, man. Hope to see more Regular Show and possibly some anime reviews in the future :)
KittenPyroNao Exactly! CJ actually had compatibly & chemistry. They could kick it & and play videos after dancing around like dorks. It was adorable. Margarets alright, but she kinda just seems like an end goal. The Mary Jane to her Peter Parker. Honestly, Margaret should’ve stayed gone, but happy, stable relationships are boring in a regular show. 😏
KittenPyroNao Finally someone gets it. Margaret was such a one dimensional character, she was just good looking, she didn’t have any personality or anything. CJ is actually cool as well as good looking, she was funny and chill. Whenever Mordecai was with CJ he was laughing and chilled, he could be goofy and play video games and stuff with her without judgement, they had clear chemistry. But when he was with Margaret he was always awkward and she would get angry for no reason so he had to watch everything he did. CJ was just so much better
@@jasonmunozjr I LOVE THIS EPISODE AS WELL. I was very surprised because I thought this was one of the best episodes of the season if not the whole series. This review is crazy, as it calls seasons 6, 7, and 8 all great (Some episodes are good but there are many unlikable ones) and he calls seasons 2, 3 and 4 terrible. I love seasons 2, 3 and 4 are great and call them some of the worst is CRAZY!
I like that they didn't change her too much too. She wasn't much of a character at all in the beginning but things she said in the first 2 seasons are things I could still see her saying in Season 7 and 8
Nick Capozzi that's in limbo right now. TBS was supposed to air this along side Final space. but stuff happened and season 2 got put on adult swim. and still no close enough. season 1 is done and ready to air. now all we gotta do is wait. we might get some information on it at comic con next month... at most we will probably get something in 2020.
@@ben_dover97 maybe they're planning to air it somewhere in September of next year so that it can be 10 years since Regular Show was released and in the same month it was released. I just hope it doesn't come to that and it gets released in January. This was a mistake it should've been put on Adult Swim like it's so obvious!!
Nzuzo Vilakazi Adult swim originally said no like they did to regular show. i honestly believe we're definitely get at least an answer in 2020. i don't think we're going to have to wait till september of next year. might do it as part of the new year line up in january.
I actually really liked “Think Positive.” I love how Pops learned how sometimes, it’s ok for Benson to be harsh, and Benson learns not to be so harsh. We see that Pops acts childish, but it works in context to me, and to the message of the episode. Sometimes it’s ok to be angry. Sometimes people deserve angry treatment. I just love the message that it’s ok to be angry at others as long as it’s justified. And Benson’s anger is justified.
The episode isn't even really about "not being angry". Pops is fine with Benson being angry and taking Mordecai and Rigby to task, but not with shouting. Pop's position is reasonable and mature, in real life it's rare that you will see managers disciplining their employees by shouting at them or calling them idiots, especially in a public setting as customers/patrons don't like to see it. Usually stuff worth screaming at your employees over is worth saving yourself the trouble and just firing them, but ofc the show won't allow that. So this episode sets up that Mordecai and Rigby only listen to yelling, giving Benson a good reason to yell at them. It also ends with Benson casually threatening to fire them, providing an instance where he does successfully discipline without yelling.
Despite Think Positive being a bad episode, the amount of dedication the voice actor of Benson put into the final scene was unbelievable. He supposedly got a headache and lost his voice afterwards
@@pr0jectzero281 you remember the episode Busted Cart where Benson snaps at Mordo and Rigs and then cries?? You can hear his voice cracking while crying and you can actually hear Pops' voice. And if listen carefully to the Death Kwon Do Sensei's voice you can actually hear Benson and Muscle Man's voices.
Wow. How did I never notice that before. I can hear the resemblance a bit with muscle man and the death qwon do guy but I never connected the dots on that scene with benson
_In Memoriam..._ Adventure Time Regular Show Amazing World Of Gumball OK KO Star vs. The Force Of Evil Friendship Gravity Falls and others **shows the army committing the gun salute as an honor to all mightiest heroes**
Adventure Time was great until about season 4-5 Regular was great throughout the whole show Gumball was great until around season 4 I never finished OKKO and I've only watched about a dozen episodes I've barely watched Star and I'm personally not a fan of it I have no idea what Friendship is, unless you're talking about MLP Friendship is Magic, which I cannot stand Gravity Falls was legendary
You know, I’m actually surprised someone actually has something positive to say about Regular Show In Space. I always saw it as a season that jumped the shark, and I guess Cartoon Network basically hating the show influenced by dislike of it
ThePcGamer I thought the space tree arc was the best part of the season because I don’t like how pops was actually a weird god who’s responsible for the universe. See my comment for more info
Smith Claxton i won't argue with that but when mordecai punched him in the face for insulting rigby because all he wanted was a net hat he deserved that punch. all he wanted was the hat he didn't deserve to almost die for it.
my absolute favorite benson moment is during the jinx episode when rigby is throwing trash at him trying to get him to say his name 3 times. straight up hulks out.
Benson always makes me laugh. His anger issues are just way too funny. People hate him but the more you think about it, he lets Mordecai and Rigby off the hook way too easily. They destroyed the park countless times and still have their jobs. Wouldn’t be the same without him in the show.
I don't believe "Think Positive" is a bad episode. While Pops is partially to blame for writing up Benson over his temper, you can't put him at fault for his actions are supposed to be noble. He's trying to seek Benson into trying something else instead of yelling at Mordecai and Rigby, literally telling him he doesn't have to be nice. And he's right, he doesn't have to be nice. He could still be firm but fair. He could still reprimand them or threaten to fire them without having to yell. But Benson's character from the first few seasons has always been impatient and less understanding. Even in "Benson Be Gone", he had no reason to follow orders under someone else's control (aside from Mr. Maellard) after following Mordecai and Rigby's ways of workplace attitude. So when you see him researching methods on managing anger, you can see his negative character traits on-screen. He has no patience or concern about actually trying to control his temper, especially over simple ways like counting to 100 (you don't continue counting if you get angry again, you recount). Not to mention some social awkwardness seen in other episodes and his flashback as well. So you can see some equal blame from everyone (minus Skips of course).
CJ is such a weird character. She’s likeable at times, but she’s way too possessive over Mordecai and just an annoyance overall. (Also Over The Top is one of my personal favorites from the show)🤘 And I’m a Rigby stan as well! His character development in S7 is absolutely amazing.
Just a Shark yeah and it’s called Stan in reference to Eminem’s song “Stan” which if you haven’t listened too I highly recommend to watch the music video ( uncensored of course ) because it is a great storytelling rap. If you can’t guess it’s about an overly obsessed fan of Eminem
I actually really like “Think positive”. It shows how Benson just really has a bad life which helps set the footing for some for the best Benson episodes like “Parkie Awards”. And as for Pops, I think him just trying to stop Benson from upsetting Mordecai and Rigby shows how he is a really happy and pure person.
My least favorite episode was the one with Doug. I really hate plots like that. Character gets replaced by superior version, superior character is actually evil, and they even had the whole trope where the two characters get mixed up and the other characters have to figure out who's who.
I actually personally like the 'whos who' clone tropes where they have to figure stuff out. Shows how much certain characters know each other. Plus it's easy to edit with. You can have them ask questions, look for body behavior, look for small bits of clothes that the clone couldn't copy, etc.
I literally _will not_ watch any episode about Mordecai's love life. They're boring, hard to watch, cringey and have super off timing. Mordecai is one of my favourite characters, and I hate just watching him mess up his dating life.
Some Random Internet Guy not really. CJ was an overall cool character that honestly shared an amazing relationship between Mordecai and Rigby. She was also very cool with everyone else in the park, and didn’t really hate them. The part when she actually saw Margaret and Mordecai together is when she became absolutely jealous, I don’t blame her. In fact, Margaret should be the one that is hated, she’s a jailbait throughout the early seasons. She tends to forget about her after CJ caused a huge ruckus, and hypothetically drags Mordecai inside of her beauty house. Margaret is the type of person that forgets about everything even when someone suffers from depression.
I would say my least favorite episode from Regular Show was The Best Burger in the World. At first, I thought I was the only one who hated this episode but when I found out lots of people hated it too made me feel better. It sucks because it made Benson seem like a jerk the entire time. Basically, making 2 of his employees starve while the others get to scarf down on those burgers that , for some reason, only are made once every century and instead of letting them get a lunch break because they're probably starving for working so hard, he just lets them continue their work. Oh and the whole conflict with the reflections of Mordecai and Rigby sucks because it's just boring. This is one of those episodes that shouldn't of been made or maybe it should and just get better writing or better way to write their characters.
For that episode in season 3 I think they should've used Mr. Mallord instead of Pops as the boss and maybe have Benson get mad at Pops as well for screwing things up. That would've made more sense. But then again, it was so satisfying to see Benson rage that much at the end.
Eh, I didn't like season 8. I felt it strayed too far from what Regular Show was known for: taking a regular scenario and blowing it up. When you put it in space it's already weird. Plus I didn't like the over arching plot thing.
@@theparable1212 Yeah, though I think most of 5 was good until the later half when CJ arrived. 6-8 had a few good episodes, but I didn’t really like them at all.
Do me a solid is in my least favorite season 2 episode My opinion ( ecept than this is on of the least favorite regular show Episodes, not Just for me but for other people )
At least Season 3 still had good episodes like Camping Can Be Cool, Skips Strikes, Sugar Rush, Death Bear, Prankless, Eggscellent, Weekend At Benson’s, Fists Of Justice, Stick Hockey, Trash Boat, Under The Hood And Fancy Restaurant.
Think Positive is kinda wasted potential. I feel like it could've been a really good episode that teaches that it's ok to be angry, but it's HOW you handle it that matters, and that it's unhealthy to bottle up your emotions. Anger is a valid and healthy emotion to have. However, there are healthy and unhealthy ways of expressing it, and I feel like this episode should've gone more in depth with that. You want this episode done RIGHT? Watch the Simpsons episode "I am Furious (Yellow)" or the MLP:FiM episode "The Sounds of Silence".
Seasons 1-3 were when the series was at its best. Season 4 was when they started doing more recurring plot lines that increased with each following season and while these were (mostly) good, the first 3 seasons will always be the most nostalgic to me
Think positive is actually one of my guilty pleasures of the show. I'll definitely watch that over best burgers in the world. One episode I think is bad that nobody talks about is Jinx.
@@kuhvn1487 you mean First Day? Dude that was like the pilot but animated and it's definitely not the worst. It has that classic Regular Show charm to it.
To be perfectly honest, I didn’t really mind “Think Positive” that much, since after episodes like “Replaced” and “The Best Burger in the World”, I personally saw it as Benson reviving a form of comeuppance for his actions.
Guanglai Kangyi, Age 15 oh wow, just read the episode order on Wikipedia and you’re absolutely right. My mistake. Though I will say that my point still kinda stands since at least there is an episode within the season where Benson is put through the same kind of hell he put M & R through.
@@davissmedley5937 I see it differently. There a dynamic between Mordecai & Rigby and Benson as workers and boss. Replaced I found funny because it clearly cemented that Mordecai and Rigby will never be fired no matter how much Benson wants to get rid off them. In Best Burger Benson was right to be pissed off at Mordecai and Rigby focusing more on getting out of work. Think Positive only has one positive about it and we got to see Benson angrier than we will ever see him, but I really wanted to strangle Mordecai and Rigby since they seem to have no actual motive being morons other than to piss off Benson.
@@koichidignitythief7429 i feel like Benson's actions were unjustified n best burger, all M and R wanted was a few minutes to try a burger that was literally never gonna served again, and you could only buy one, ever
Fun fact: regular show was originally supposed to be aired on adult swim with the creator making it so all characters are humans on an acid trip. This is also why there are a lot of edgey jokes in season 1.
Wall Buddy is the definition of it came out too late. If it was an episode from like season 2 or 3 it wouldnt have been that stupid. You can even replace Thomas with Muscle Man because Muscle Man knows a lot of people, so the, oh I have a friend that uses one conversation would have worked well.
Eileen >>> Starla > CJ > Margaret Eileen is the best, that’s obvious Starla isn’t great, but you have to admit she’s perfect for Muscle Man CJ and Mordecai have some good moments, but every “misunderstanding” feels so forced Margaret is just kinda boring. Let me know what you guys think, I’m open for discussion, as long as you admit Eileen is the best by a mile
Honestly the show would’ve had a much better ending if the show ended with rigbys graduation day special. The fact that they went to space made no sense in my opinion, and they choose to kill off pops of all people. I understand they wanted a really cool ending, but I didn’t really care about pops. If the ended with the graduation, followed by the montage of everyone’s future life (by the way Mordecai and Margaret should’ve gotten together as she’s the first love interest) and then take out all of the dome related episodes in season 7, it would’ve been great. And if they absolutely needed a final battle, skips should’ve been the one to go, maybe with klorgbane somehow surviving the fists of justice and killing all of the immortal babies and Gary, and then skips dying and everyone else having to defeat klorgbane. It would be so much better without the weird space season. But that is just my opinion and everyone can have different opinions and I respect your thought of season 8 being one of the best.
That could sound good but not with margaret, the show was telling us that sometimes your first love isnt who you will end up with in the end, kinda obvious in the episode where margaret got back into town and went on a friends hangout with mordecai. Plus after CJ was introduced, margaret got kinda dull for me.
To me the final season and ep did great because it justified the following: . 1. Mordecai being in space gave him the isolation he needed to stop bothering about romantic relationships w/c he can't do if he keeps seeing margaret or cj. A metaphor of giving himself some space to be his own person from his woes about the failed relationships he had. . 2. It justified Pops' origin which answers why he has the "good show" catchphrase, and why weird things are happening in a supposedly "regular" life/show of the rest of the characters. . 3. It justified Skips strength of character. That it is not solely because of his powers or knowledge (he rarely used his powers, etc in S8) but it was really innate. He is also rarely highlighted in S8 episodes. . 4. S8 finally let a female character shine-- Eileen. . 5. Being in space gave Benson a chance to take a break from thinking too much about work (and behaving based on how he wanted to appear at work) and think of his personal happiness/relationships. (A side of him shown rarely in the first 7 seasons because he always portray a business/manager side of him). . 6. Last but not the least, the space events became a preparatory stage for Rigby to expect the unexpected, which is applicable to newly graduates. That he cannot take things for granted because outside the park/school everything is gonna be different. I know being sent to space is an exaggerated way for Rigby to learn that lesson but eh~ that's it 🤷
Honestly, I likes Wall Buddy. I kinda likes how insufferable Rigby was. The worst episode from S5 was definitely Tent Trouble. Fckin worst episode of the whole show no contest
Ahh yes, a Jem Reviews video about one of my favorite shows. Made my night. 8:59 I've been meaning to ask about your avatar. When are we gonna get a lore video about how you got your Jem head? Cx
One of the worst episodes of regular show that I’ve seen is the one where Mordecai and Rigby wanted those burgers with the Himalayan ketchup, and ends with Benson eating them in front of them like a dick. The ending of that episode pissed me off so much.😒
Smooth ST I’m currently binge watching regular show right now and I’m on the last episode of season 5 should I watch season 6 or will it be a big waste of time
I got to disagree severely with you about "Think Positive". I really liked it. I liked the way Benson had to try to bottle up and control his anger. It's the perfect plot for a character who is all about getting angry. And I think it makes sense that Pops would want him to stop yelling because Pops is such a peaceful and pure character that he wouldn't want to see any tension between people who work for him. I don't think what he did is out of character or malicious from Pops but rather I think it makes sense that Pops wouldn't know how to handle it because this is his first time trying to exercise some kind of authority. But I do see the problem with the fact that in doing so Pops is just letting Mordecai and Rigby off the hook the whole time and there was no consequence for their actions from Pops. I do see where you're coming from on that. Pops should have put some blame on them too and told them to stop giving Benson reasons to yell. But regardless in the ending Mordecai and Rigby do get the ultimate consequence for their actions. Speaking of the ending, by god I think it's one of the most epic endings in Regular Show. The way Benson bottles his anger up so much that he creates a giant fireball around himself that starts destroying the park and yelling at Mordecai and Rigby burning them with a giant fire beam while justifiably screaming at them for how lazy, irresponsible, reckless, and bad at their jobs they have been for the entirety of the show. I find it satisfying both for Mordecai and Rigby getting what they deserve and for how badass it was seeing Benson in this literal rage induced fire super form that is so fitting for the character. Also, Pops does clearly understand his mistake at the ending when seeing the chaos that making Benson bottle up his anger has caused and ends up fixing his mistake and makes Benson unleash his anger.

Rage against the TV was probably my favorite for a long time, just because I have a soft spot for team up episodes over the usual main group. Also the pain it is to finally get to the boss of a game only for some issue to hold you back.

Couldn’t disagree more about season 3 being the WORST season. Are you serious. It has Tyler the creator, gambinos ep. It has eggselnet ep which you didn’t even mention and is one of the best eps of the show and the ep that won the show a Emmy and the creators favorite ep as well. Skips strikes, cool bikes, slam dunk WEEKEND AT BENSONS???! Skips vs technology. Like seriously and fr like video game wizard is also one of the best of the series. This whole seasons is definitely one of the best. Watched the show since day 1 and have watched it pretty regularly the past 3 years. Couldn’t believe you said that. Watch it again. Been years I know but hope you see this and give me more reasons why seasons 3 is the worst. Thought you were pretty accurate with other stuff though
The final worst episode has to be Mordeby and Rigbecai" because Rigby wanted to keep his mutated height. Acting like his early seasons Jerkass phase. Yet, viewers were _cheering_ when he finally demolished Mordecai's "Punchies" streak.
My ranking of the show's seasons 1. Season 8 2. Season 7 3. Season 4 4. Season 2 5. Season 1 6. Season 3 7. Season 6 8. Season 5 (Note: if i whould rank the movie i whould deffinitely rank it number 1 as it in my opinion was the best regular show could do put into a movie)
It's weird. I really liked Season 3, and the three episodes you considered the worst (Replaced, The Best Burger in the World, and Think Positive) I all found to be really enjoyable. Replaced I thought was a bit slow at times, but had some pretty good character interactions in a similar vein to Temp Check, The Best Burger in the World kept me on edge with its stakes, poor ending aside, and had some of the most memorable moments to me, and looking past Pops' out of character moments, I thought Think Positive was a good jumping point for Benson's characterization off of the heels of episodes like Stick Hockey and Weekend at Benson's, with later episodes like Busted Cart, 150 Piece Kit, and Fool Me Twice fleshing Benson out into my favorite character on the show. And even without those episodes, I thought other episodes like Skips Strikes, Camping Can Be Cool, Skips vs. Technology, Eggscelent, Access Denied, Muscle Mentor, Trucker Hall of Fame, Diary, Prankless, and Fuzzy Dice were great enough to elevate Season 3 into one of, if not my favorite season of Regular Show. Really, the only episodes I don't remember getting much enjoyment out of in Season 3 were Bet to Be Blonde, House Rules, Rap It Up, Butt Dial, Big Winner, and Dead at Eight, if only because I found them relatively bland.
The episode I hated THE MOST was the best burger in the world, Benson was an absolute asshole and the smugness he had after gloating and eating Mordecai and Rigbys burgers in front of them was more than enough for me to hate him for a while
one of my favorite things about regular show is its consistent quality (at least in my opinion). i never really found any of the episodes to be that bad (the love triangle episodes and starla episodes are groanworthy and get close but they aren't THAT bad imo).
The early seasons were a lot slower; it took considerably longer to reach the shift from regular to irregular. It worked better because situations were considerably more natural.
