Even with all the skip filler songs, I'd still put Relapse on a high A to S tier. 3Am, Same song and dance, Stay wide awake, Deja Vu, Beautiful, Underground, My darling, Music box, Forever, Careful what you wish for, Old times sake, Crack a bottle and so many more. Love that album.
I feel like his song “hell breaks loose” gets completely overlooked on the album and doesn’t get spoke about enough. I believe it’s one of his best tracks, and the collab with Dre was just nasty! The beat was fuckin murkin too.
Same. Discombobulated has become my most played Em song in such a long time. I was hooked on it from first listen & that song alone will, imo, put Side B up to A Tier.
my hot take is MTBMB side A & B are both upper echelon eminem albums. there are a few songs on each (i’d say about 4ish) that i could do without. however, sonically, technically, and creatively there are many of my all time favorites. you gon’ learn, in too deep, yah yah, lock it up, farewell, i will, alfred’s theme, guns blazing, gnat, higher, she loves me, and zeus all top 50 em songs. people need to go back and listen to what he is saying man.
Eminem show is hands down the album that raised me lol. Released right when i hit my teens. Say goodbye to hollywood and soldier might be the beat songs imo
Then he’ll get mad over people not letting him be “in the middle.” But it seems VERY clear that he’s secretly a MAGA dude but he tip toes around it and doesn’t go full MAGA mode on here because he’s spineless and scared of getting “canceled” and more than likely losing sponsorships.
Because of the rumors of Slim Shady LP 2 I thought about potential sequals to the LP 1 songs and I thought that what if Eminem and Hailie make a song together called '24 Bonnie and Clyde? I don't think it's very likely but it would be cool in my opinion. Also a My name is sequal titled: ”You know my name” would be dope
Trippy double audio takes sounded kinda cool with headphones on. Your ad reads game is always on point ! Their so catchy, I never could skip over them.
I’ve never had someone agree with me on beautiful being the best eminem song I’ve even heard people say it’s an f tier em song glad it’s getting some love 😂
I rank MMLP2 as my 3rd favorite, mostly bc the first time I heard it, i was rolling on molly and the way it made me feel and the nostalgia/euphoria i felt listening to it, just made me feel some type of way. Even months and years later, i was still catching bars lol. This was when Em was getting in his BAG lyrically, technically. and wordplay wise. A whole new era of Em, kinda like what you were saying. But i agree with most of your ranking lol
I agree and there was another song that he like, but I didn’t list it when he was talking about is discombobulated and why is everyone crapping on reliable? I just listen to revival because I saw this reaction and I heard people talk so much about it being the worst basically ever I don’t know 19 songs maybe three I dislike that up for me please
@crypttherapper crypt I love your videos man much respect I gotta respectfully disagree with something in this list though, saying the slim shady lp fell off towards the bottom is a crazy take, as the world turns in 10/10, still don't give a fuck is 8/10, I'm shady is 9/10, probably one of if not his most consistent albums
I appreciate viewpoints. However, I don't rank albums or artist. Example: My little daughter is 25 now. At 5 years old she drew me a picture. It was colorful scribbling. But, it was a masterpiece. She made that little drawing with all her heart. At 15, she painted me a picture. It was lovely. She put her heart into every brush stroke and she was so proud. I put that painting up next to her first drawing. Love them both. Then, after art school, she painted me another picture. It was incredible. Beautiful. And she worked so hard on it. I put it up next to her other works of art. Then, at 23 she painted me another picture. She just got out of the hospital. She had cancer surgery. She was very sick and weak. Depressed. Her hands were unsteady too. However, the picture she gave to me brought me to tears. It was her best at that time. It was her heart. I put that masterpiece with her other works of art. I love them all. Sadly, she is critically ill now. Will I get another drawing or painting from my baby girl? I don't know. But, when I look at each piece she gave to me, they each touch my heart, in a certain way. Is one better than the other? For me, absolutely not. Eminem's albums are like my daughters pieces of art! As a matter of fact, the same is true for every artist. Enjoy each piece!
I'd definitely place Relapse as A tier. His word play was insane in that album. "Soon as my flow starts I compose art like the ghost of Mozart". Em was just out of this world with this album
Most people choose MMLP as their favorite Em album, but for me it is the Eminem Show. I agree with "S" tier status for both of those. I agree with your "A" tier but would bump Relapse up into that tier as well as it features some of his best rhyme schemes ever coupled with some of Dre's sickest beats. As for your "B" tier, I'd upgrade MTBMB, Part B to that group (fitting, isn't it?) as I like it almost as much as I liked Part A. And those are the only changes that I'd make. Great job, as always!
@@FiryaFYI Yes, bigger hits, better anthems and more diverse across the board. MMLP is better as an overall concept album with a singular theme...which is also why I didn't feel that the MMLP2 was a true sequel. About a third of it was. He was well on his way to three different albums with that material. Should've done an entirely separate album with Rick Rubin where the feel was more retro and then a third where it was more about modern beats and rapping his ass off (a lot of the bonus CD would've been that one).
@@franksamara1815 I do agree about mmlp2. there is a deff clear battle of styles. MMLP is a lot more "up beat" whacky album, But TES has songs that just HIT. White America, Business, Soldier, Sing for the moment, Till i collapse, Hailie's song. While it has some "fun" songs, I would say its his most emotional album.
Recovery is S tier in my head, but I think because when it came out (not drug related) but some of the songs really hit home. My Daughter was 1, my daughters mom was a pain in the ass; I was trying to be the glue that held it all together and at the time even if he did not mean specifically verbatim how I felt. I some how in my head connected a lot of those songs in my head different Daughter 15 now mom still did not work out but my daughter and I are close and good =), thats all that matters.
It's great to watch other people rank these albums because we all differ so much, I actually really like eminems fun songs like we made you, just lose it, ass like that haha. You have inspired me to make some tier list videos of my own, I think im going to do a tier list series where I rank the songs on the albums one album at a time. Should be fun :)
I haven’t heard these albums in a minute but from what I can remember my last tier list was like this: S: MMLP and TES A: SSLP and Recovery B: MMLP2 and MTBMB C: Relapse, Kamikaze, and MTBMBSB D: Infinite, Encore, and Revival
My personal favorite tier list: 1. Relapse 2. Encore 3. Eminem Show 4. Marshall Mathers LP 5. Recovery 6. Slim Shady LP 7. Marshall Mathers LP 2 8. MTMB 9. The Death of Slim Shady 10. Revival 11. Infinite 12. MTMB side B Didn't listen to Kamikaze yet, but Venom and Ringer are pretty good.
For me Eminem’s the greatest rapper of all time. My favorite album of Eminem is Recovery and my top 5 Eminem’s musics: 1/ not afraid 2/lose yourself 3/ love the way you lie part 1 and 2 4/ mockingbird 5/ Rap god/The Way Am But I like most other song of Eminem🔥🔥🙏🏻
Ngl, Love Game with Kendrick Lamar is one of his best songs in my opinion. Sadly, I’m not a huge fan of Em’s old self in general besides a handful of songs but this song is one of his best.
I respect each person's taste. Music is very personal for each listener. I am 51. Experienced Eminem every step of the way. One of my favorite artists. I collect and love so many types of music. My top 5 Em albums: 1. Recovery (He made it through so much to reach that point. Such a talent.) 2. Revival (Very personal album. Several songs on that album affected me personally and still do.) 3. TTDOSS (Who else can create a secondary personality, and then kill him? So creative. His voice is so solid. His lyrics so good. It's Em being silly and having fun.) 4. MTBMB A and B (Two excellent albums. I really enjoyed them and still do.) 5. MMLP 2. (I listen to this album when I cut my lawn. It flows so good.)
I completely agree with your ranking of kamakazi it holds a special place in my heart I was really sick for 9 months back in 2018 when that album came out and it got me through that also I would personally rank relapse in A as well as mmlp 2 and id switch the mmlp with em show since I think its the best album also sslp definitely goes in S
I agree with most of it, I would change 2 things. Revival down to top of D and swap where Recovery and Side A are. I feel like a argument can be made for Kamikaze to be put S for me but, as of right now A is just solid.
As much as you love "Beautiful", Crypt, that's my same feelings on "Walk On Water". I absolutely love that track, it gave us a doubtful, almost scares & very humanized Em, and I'll always be there for that. It takes a crap tonne of balls to open up an album with telling your fans you don't know if you've got it any more.
So here's my ranking that I know is going to stir up some controversy 1. The Eminem Show 2. MMLP 3. Kamikaze 4. MMLP2 5. MTMB Side B 6. MTMB Side A 7. Relapse 8. Encore 9. Recovery 10. Revival 11. The SSLP 12. Infinite
My PERSONAL favorite Eminem albums to listen to front to (that I know most of the songs by heart) back: 1. The Eminem Show 2. Relapse 3. Encore 4. The Marshall Mathers LP 5. Recovery 6. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 7. The Slim Shady LP 8. Music To Be Murdered By 9. Kamikaze 10. Music To Be Murdered By - Side B 11. Revival 12. Infinite
As a person who has all of his albums on CD and which I had listen multiple times this is my ranking: S - MMLP; The Eminem Show A - Recovery; Relapse ; TSSLP B - MTMB Side A; Kamikaze; MMLP2 C - Encore; Revival; MTMB Side B D - Infinity
For me Eminem’s the greatest rapper of all time. My favorite album of Eminem is Recovery and my top 5 Eminem’s musics: 1/ not afraid 2/lose yourself 3/ love the way you lie part 1 and 2 4/ mockingbird 5/ Rap god/The Way Am But I like most other song of Eminem
Not many people will like me for this, but Revival is my personal favorite. It (for some reason) got me out of a state of depression I was in. I cried to Arose. And it's rare to see me cry. Ask my momma
While I agree it's not the best one, an easy S tier and my personal favorite album is Recovery. I enjoyed every song, "Not Afraid" is a "1/1A" for my favorite Eminem song of EVER, and Love The Way You Lie is a top 3/top 4 favorite as well, 25 to Life is his most underrated song, IMO. No Love is a great colab, and Cinderella Man is a nice battle theme. Even from the beginning, "Cold Wind Blows" sets a beautiful tone of how insane this album will be. There's just too much good to not call it my personal favorite and a top 2 album of his on my own tier listing.
Being in high school when Eminem blew up, I've listened to every single em album, but I feel like it's all subjective. My favorite is Eminem show, but it's all a matter of opinion. One fan might like the bars and rhyme schemes, while the next might just like the beats more, while the next might love an album for substance. No matter how you feel about it, if we get Eminem in 2024, I will be very thankful that he's still creating for our listening pleasure.
Relapse was such a mishmash of songs. I agree that Beautiful is one of Eminem's best songs ever. its such a heart felt apology and one of his best story telling songs. i think Crack a bottle was liked because of the catchy hook and obviously the features. We Made You is just goofy fun (i like it).
I feel like his song “hell breaks loose” from relapse is completely overlooked and not spoke about enough. I believe it’s one of his best tracks, and the collab with Dre was nasty. Even the beat was fuckin murkin.
I never give a shit about how a song sounds if the artist is dropping bars and being creative, a lot of Em's goofy songs are some of my favourites, He does things differently to everyone else and for his more political songs that people don't like even if you can say he was wrong about some of his takes i stick respect him for speaking his mind.
"I don't give a shit about how a song sounds." The whole point of music is that you're listening to stuff that's pleasurable to your ears. You need to get your brain examined, assuming you have one 😂
S TES, MMLP A Relapse: Refill, MMLP2, SSLP B MTBMB, Recovery, Kamikaze C MTBMB SIDE B, Encore D Revival, Infinite I love MMLP2 and Relapse they are so underrated
Here is the rankings in my opinion. 12- Revival 11- Encore 10- MTBMB B 9- Relapse 8- Infinite 7 - MTBMB A 6 - MMLP2 5 - Kamikaze 4 - Recovery 3 - MMLP 2 - SSLP ( Biased ) 1 - Eminem show These are my rankings. Been an Eminem fan since I was 12 in 1999. I studied every single album. These rankings are based on song quality, lyrics, replay value.
You missed three projects (based on how you did them). Hell: The Sequel, Relapse: Refill, & Shady XV. Hell: The Sequel was Kamikaze on steroids and certainly a Tier A/B project & Shady XV is right down there with Infinite. Relapse: Refill for the sample size was phenomenal. Some severely underrated tracks like Careful What You Wish For & My Darling. But you used the cover for Relapse: Refills cover so I’m not sure if you counted that as the entire project since you broke up MTBMB Side A & B
Bro putting encore and relapse in the same category is insane like i know they may be not the best eminem albums but relapse is SO MUCH better than incore
I actually like this list. I actually put side b way more up tho cuz im pretty sure its the most lyrical album ever as far as medaphors. Alfreds theme alone might have more medaphores in that single song than any other single song. Also i think you should relisten to never love again if you dont remember it. Simular to darkness and space bound, its a whole play on 2 different subject. Drugs and love. He dont reveal what hes truly rapping about til the end
the MMLP1 i hold really close to my heart it was the first piece of music ive ever listened to and i was at the age of 7 yeah i know way to young for a album like that but i found it in my step dads cd organizer and was listening to it on a portable cd player on the bus for weeks straight. Recovery was the first one I bought with my own money and i immediately fell in love with that album, i actually listened to it on the same cd player at the age of 14 which by that time ive heard every eminem album that has came out by then. eminem has been my favorite rapper for 20 years ive loved every album hes put out but revival i do re listen to it every once in a while and it has grown on me.
Your tier list lines up with mine, but I would switch around the actual rankings of them a little… 1. Eminem Show 2. Marshall Mathers LP 3. Kamikaze 4. Recovery 5. Slim Shady LP 6. Marshall Mathers LP 2 7. Encore 8. Relapse 9. MTBMB Side A 10. MTBMB Side B 11. Infinite 12. Revival Admittedly doesn’t paint the best picture because most of Em’s work is dope. But, if I had to rank them, that’s probably where I’d go with it
Tbh i think Side B beats Side A, maybe just because of Alfred’s Theme. My most played and favourite Em song ever - and my favourite reaction of yours was on it too😂
I am really surprised you didn't mention Stay Wide Awake when naming songs on the album. It's easily one of his lyrically best tracks, ever. However, once you said Beautiful is your favorite Eminem song of all time, I knew there was no reason for me to debate your list or song preference. Because we are clearly on opposite ends of the Eminem spectrum.
Can also do a straight up ranking 1. Eminem show 2. MMLP 3. Kamilaze 4. MMLP2 5. SSLP 6. M2BMB 7. Encore 8. Recovery 9. M2BMB side B 10. Revival 11. Relaps 12. Infinite
