Personally, Volvo and Scania are the best 2 trucks in the game, if you're into taking the small roads I advice you to drive Scania since it's stable in corners and corners better than all the other trucks, as it climbs hills better and faster. And Volvo is for highways since it has the highest top speed among all the trucks in the game. If you're respecting the speed limit, Scania is the one you must get.

I don't get why people are qualifying the DAF 2021 or even the Volvo FH sounds of "Good" It's not any good, the recordings are accurate, however, the mixing is just as badly done as any other sound made by SCS, except the last MAN TGX, which is passable but spoiled by the poor air and turbo sound itself... And the unrealistic transmission sounds as well... Also there's no 625 HP engine in the MAN TGX, it's either 580 or 640 hp to list the lowest and highest nearby horsepower values, with the D38 engine..

I’ve been playing the game for many years now, mostly driving Mercedes, Scania and Volvo, all trucks are nice, but the Actros has a special place in my heart ❤

4:38 Come on your saying it looking like Shrek is a cool modern design? :( It looks bad, low power, low customisability, all the windows and chrome blind you in the sun and one of the most annoying horns in Ets 2! And the camera mirrors are SO bad looking! That's the main reason why I'm saying it looks like Shrek and you cant see the mirrors when the engine is off, so if you have an engine malfunction it is a big risk pulling over in the hard shoulder!

If talking dashboards I find it useful if the cruise speed is clearly readable and the way it's done on DAF XG+ annoys me. Just realized I kind of didn't drive MAN TGX GXGXGX all that much.

I prefer analogic dashboard than digital.

I'm happy with my HI-WAY 560e. It needs rework but i love the Iveco design. I wish they add S-WAY❤

My only complain with the new MAN TGX is the poor implementation of the OptiView. I'm not expecting to have the same funtionality as the real one but it would be nice if wide angle could be configured somehow. I found myself several times not been sure where the back of my trailer is.

My favourite Truck is the Mercedes Benz New Actros

well everybody has their own preferences, i prefer that new DAF with cameras than that MAN with cameras, yk that DAF has also one cool feature for me- warning syster when you are about to get ahead car

My firts truck is a used actros and im really happy with it, probably gonna keep it for ever. And i agree, as you use other trucks, you can see the actros is not that good, but for some reason i really like it.

The Benz New Actros was my first truck in the game and I bought it as a used truck for 125k, It's a good truck in my opinion😁

It is really a shame that all those "Newer" trucks lack options.... The new DAF's, the MAN, no open pipes, for some no 4x6 chassis.

i would say that your "cons" are "pros" to me...i like analog dashboard, glass mirrors, manual gear shifting and less automated sys generaly, however "bad " engine sound are more count on game rating than the truck itslef...

so i didnt know american truck sim existed so i bought ets2, since yesterday found a mod for ets2 to add my fav american truck, so i dont really drive any europian on it but a american peterbilt :D

For me my favorite Truck is the MAN Euro 6

Old trucks have no customizazion, eccept for some parts. I think MAN, Scania and DAF are awesome trucks I think all sounds in the game arent’t the best, so sound mods are a must. MAN TG3 has no 625hp engine, that is only for the new actros.

I think to make this more fair you shouldve compared truchks from the similar years because making the mirror cams as a like os not very fair as only 2 trucks have them

Limited customization at Volvo? Its one of the trucks have most things to edit 😂 Without dlc is half of things in tuning dlc but there is lot of customizable things too

The original vanilla sounds were better like the classic fh sounded good . Not now, all stock sound trucks are terrible .You should never be able to hear road noise above the engine . The v8 730 aint to fast either . I run a chipped 770 that tops out at 142 mph ! also run dc16 openpipe for the v8 realism . The new actros is one of the nicest trucks to drive .Both volvos drive great too the older classic and the newer version which is now ancient . Most other trucks are very unstable and for some reason the steering will not turn fully causing plenty collisions you can watch it foul quite easily . Its crazy that it is still a thing years later . The actros and volvos seem to turn far better . Scs need their bums kicked ! iv had numerous steering wheels only to have support stopped for them making them useless ! It should be faultless at this stage some 12 years later . But they just dont listen to their customers . All about the ££££$$$$$$ common sense aint common .I know that much . I am a truck mechanic too so iv known trucks since i was a kid with my old man trucking in DAFS like the 3300 & 2800ATI and 95ATI 350 310 ,430 multiple 530 XFs .He is retired now but still drives most weeks currently a DAF XG+ or a Scania NG v8 if ness.

i dont think Volvo is the most powerful truck in ETS2, since Volvo measure HP/Nm from flywheel and Scania from wheel of the truck, Scania could have more than 750HP

sorry but you cant take engine specs from the game, they are really unrealistic, for example renault doesnt have 2550 nm of torque but irl only 2250, i know its according to ets2, but irl its different

and scania 730 doesnt have 3500 nm of torque but only about 3000 irl

For a simulator and entertainment purposes, any truck is fine as long as it can handle the job. Most people don’t have a high quality sound system to judge motor sounds so I think it’s a weak criteria.
