@@Left4Red - He was given a blank DVD by his coaches who asked him to watch the film and give them a report. The man started lying through his teeth about what he saw on film, as he never even put it in to see that it was blank. Zero effort.
honestly i was happy that he even got put in the pretty good category. I see stafford get so much hate all the time because of the lack of playoff success. So many people ignore that this team as a whole has been a dumpster fire and stafford has been carrying it on his back ever since he got there
Vick definitely should’ve been in the “potentially HOF” section. You can argue that he won’t get into the hall of fame just because of making his dogs fight, but he is better than “pretty good”
Possible? Bruh he's 7th in passing yards, won 2 super bowls against the Patriots both times, yes his few past years have soiled some stuff but he is still a great QB!
Minecraft Pig I definitely wouldn’t say he’s hof material but he is a very smart guy, isn’t gonna be the reason you lose a game but isn’t a world breaker either. I think if he was on the patriots he would be just like Tom brady
He shouldn't have even been drafted #1 anyways. My niners didn't know what they were doing. But I'm a Smith loyalist and he has more grit than almost any player today. He has his flaws but did have a touchdown drive while blind. Then benched right after. Pretty Good is fair.
It’s sad and it’s all the colts fault they handled all of his injuries and rehab horribly and they never got him an good o line. One of the best QBs in the last 30 years gone to waste because of a shitty gm and a cokehead owner
He doesn’t have the numbers to justify being a HoFer though. Like KTO said, if he hadn’t been sidelined from injuries and jail time we’d be talking about him possibly being in the Manning Tier, but he did miss all that time and that hurt his case and that’s why he will definitely not be a Hall of Famer.
Lol no. He Didn’t ever throw for over 3500 yards or 21 touchdowns, didn’t accomplish anything in the playoffs, got into severe legal trouble and his entire career has been glorified because Of Madden. Barring injury Cam Newton will break most of Vick’s rushing records in the next 2 years while being 10x the passer Vick ever was.
Kayman234 the thing about Vick is that a lot of that comes from Nostalgia, Vick was amazing to watch, but Cam Newton is a significantly better QB than Vick ever was.
The difference between leaf & JaMarcus is leaf actually tried to be good he just was immature. JaMarcus on the only hand gave no fucks and pretty didn't try to do shit but show up.
XTrueL Smith nah he only showed up if he felt like it. He also missed practices to just sit on his couch at home and eat junk. I just don’t understand why he didn’t give a shit. Like, hello? Did you forget that you were picked FIRST OVERALL??!!
This was before the rookie contract rules so he got a lot of money. He also got a unbelievable ego from being the number one pick. One has to wonder what could have been if he had been a little more humble and had a work ethic to match that 6’6 260 freak athlete frame...
He had an insane skill set. He wasn't insane at football. He was a pretty good QB and it's easily arguable that his career is actually a tad below what can be considered good.
GENE HALL and he deserved to go to jail for that. That’s understandable. That arguably why he didn’t get inducted to the Hall Of Fame. but He is still one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time due to his unique play style unseen at the time. A dual threat quarterback of his caliber deserves at least HOF rankings.
@@jacksonbeaton4635 What I ment is that he needs more recognition. He is one of the best WR but he deserves way more and I mean it when I say that my home team needs to pick it up for him.
Geo S. No one even knows how good stafford actually is like what if he replaced rivers or something if he retired after this year that’d be fun and we could see if he’s a winner or not
Not really as it would be difficult and unfair to rank some players careers when they've only played 1-3 years (and in the case of the 1st overall pick of 2020, haven't played a single down in the NFL).
@@andymofoincross For starters, the list would be on picks 2010-2019 (not '20). Every player from Bradford to Murray will have played. Also, just because some guys will have barely played compared to others doesn't mean it wouldn't be cool to take a look at how everyone's doing so far. The list wouldn't be definitive, and I think everyone would understand that. When it comes to ranking Murray, I'd imagine KTO would say something similar to what was said about Stafford (who still has about 10 years left) in this video: "he's a 'pretty good' for now, but that's subject to change as his career goes on."
@@crackhead2210 not accomplished enough, no mvps, spent how many years with the lions and always went under the radar nd 1 ring sadly usually cut it, i rally wish he was a hof rn but i just dont think so at his current moment
@@kaiyan3546 I get that his numbers have definitely been hof worthy and he’s passed for 2 of the greatest receiver seasons of all time 🤷🏽♂️ I think that’s a nod enough
I'd never heard that DVD story. That's another level of coaching staff losing any trust they had in him. He literally just had to put it on in the background and he would have known it was blank, but he didn't even do that.
@@trevorlawrenceshair7457 I Would too if I was a Texans fan. All those intersections and fumbles was cause of those offensive lines. All those hits will leave someone disoriented
It’s actually insane how much Matthew Stafford‘s reputation has evolved. I think his baby face contributed a lot to the disrespect he got as a young qb. But now he’s universally respected.
@@joemayo9514 😂😂 Fr they love to say he’s so great just because he’s a beast in madden, they need to watch the actual games and look at the real stats and see that he only put up impressive rushing numbers, his completion rate was terrible and he didn’t have good accuracy either.
I agree, honestly if he had the giants organization behind him instead of the lions he would instantly be hof candidate. I think he's going to end his career top 5 in noteworthy qb stat categories. Like Frank Gore, dude is going to Canton with no noteworthy hardware, just incredible stats.
@@BunnyTherapistX lol no the giants organization Failed Eli after the 2nd super bowl with terrible offensive lines and no RB till his very last year as a pro
@@JVR10893 Yeah it's just the progression of the team. Suprised Eli didn't get 5 or so starts but unless he was tearing it up he was gonna get switched out
Taylor Van Dyke nah he isn’t as good almost everyone thinks their quarterback is really good for example I’m a falcons fan and I think micheal Vick deserves possible hof
Both of them are obviously better than an average QB but haven’t done enough to be considered a possible HoF player. They’re both above avg QBs, so why wouldn’t they be in the same tier.
I’m a Vikings fan, but on God, Stafford is so underrated. He is overshadowed by being on a terrible team so he never gets the respect he deserves. His 4th quarter comebacks are second to none
I am positive you already have this written down somewhere as a "Must Make Video", but In honor of next year being 2020 definitely make a "Ranking Every #1 Overall Pick From the 2010's"
@@tidepodz3036 vick had more of an impact on the game and that's probably the reason why everyone thinks he should get in I feel like he'll get in eventually
Deep Purple 98 Bro what are you talking about? “Pretty good“ is a series done by Jon Bois over at SB nation. It’s a pun based off of that, I don’t know why you’re so upset. If you don’t think the comment is funny, then fine, humor is subjective, but your dismissive, asshole like nature pissed me off enough that I had to write this, so fuck you
Connor Smith right where he needs to be. People look at Vick like some god when in reality he’s not even a first ballot HOFer. Yeah, if he didn’t go to prison he would be higher up and definitely be first ballot but that major slip up really changed his career.
@@asserakram1725 He has TWO!!!! playoff wins and no chips, 4 pro bowls. That is NOT hof quality. Polarizing player? yup, but so was Bo Jackson and Sterling Sharpe before injuries. Vicks career was good, but that's it. He has 22k passing yards, 6k rushing and 133-88 td to int ratio. HOW IS THAT HOF??!!!!
@@charlesbuckley5615 dumbas how is he a stat padder, he's been screwed over so many times and has never had a great team around him Until now and he's gotten screwed
I just realized if you put the two Manning brothers together, you end up with Tom Brady. One is perfect in the regular season but sucks in the playoffs, and the other is perfect in the playoffs and sucks in the regular season.
Kayman234 yeah having the most rushing yards by a QB doesn’t warrant a possible hof tier. You need more than just stats to make the Hof, you need wins and playoff wins and no dog fighting incidents
No he wasn't. He was the best runner of any QB in NFL history, but a sub par passer to the point his sub par passing mitigated how good he was at running. Russell Wilson is a dual threat QB, but is actually amazing overall. Steve Young was a dual threat QB, but left the NFL as the most efficient passer ever. Randall Cunningham retired when Vick entered the league and had several seasons with over 4000 total yards and several seasons with over 30 TDs, which Vick didn't do. He objectively was not the best dual threat QB in NFL history.
Captain Fangle Nathan Peterman wasn’t a 1st overall pick. Tho he should have been, he was a greater steal than Brady will ever be. Undefeated in the super bowl baby!
Nah he nailed it on Vick. The type of dude that was an average QB but had the potential to make these plays that just dropped your jaw and that just hyped him up so much. People forget that most of his seasons were a struggle.
I'm a Falcons fan but I think Vick is maybe the most overrated player in the last 20 years by casual fans. He gets looked at more fondly because of how exciting he was and I honestly think him being a cheat code in Madden helped his perception. He was just an above average NFL QB though when you look at his stats and accomplishments. Matt Ryan is 10x the QB he was and most casual NFL fans think Vick was the better Falcon.
@@aceman5099 vick was just as good as advertised but his off field issues hurt him and didn't have the time to work on his game or practice with teammates and develop a bond with his wide outs like most great qbs do
He would've been manning tier but prison kinda ruined his chances as a great HoF, i agree with his status, plus all he could do was run, he wasnt as great after prison either
