590 Subscribers and this guy got recommended to me after I typed "pokemon 3ds games" into search bar. Brings more honest content than the rest I saw. big up
Said this in a previous video and i'll say it again, you're gonna pop off and get to a million subs soon. Your content is amazing, we are proud of you :)
The content is way too good for the few subscribers this account this has tbh, I only realized how low the sub count was after seeing your comment which made me sub immediately
As someone who used it as my starter in my XY playthroughs and Super Mystery Dungeon, it's easily the most underrated starter. It's legit the best starter in PSMD by a landslide and it can be a real powerhouse in XY. Also, Chesnaught pulls off the cute and tough look at the same time, so that's a plus.
Hey bud, great vid. I only recently played X and now I'm on Ultra Sun at 30 years old on a emulator. X seemed super easy and Ultra sun has made me use more revives and potions then all the games put together in history..and I'm only half way through
@@amira.ismail8004 why not use a PC just Check on your local marketplaces like eBay or so… you dont Need much so Maybe get a Dell optiplex with a i5 2400
@@gyrospita9328 I used to have 2 old laptops but I sold them and I'm currently searching for a new one that can play modern games. And I prefer playing portably so playing on a handheld or a phone like redmagic 8 pro.
It's less that the 3DS can barely handle Alola and more that GameFreak is terrible at optimization considering that the 3DS handles games like Monster Hunter 4, Dragon Quest 8, and the OG Dragon Quest XI, like how Sword & Shield/BDSP are on the same console as Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2, Mister Hunter Stories 2, World of Final Fantasy Maxima, and the upgraded Dragon Quest XI.
I personally like X and Y the most. If we had gotten a fully fledged Pokemon Z, I am sure it would be the best Pokemon game on the 3DS (possibly the greatest Pokemon game ever made).
I stopped playing pokemon shortly after Leaf Green back in the early 2000's. Until I picked up Pokemon Violet when it released last year. After beating violet I wanted more from Pokemon, and thus am just now ultimately getting into the entire Pokemon 3DS scene. I have Pokemon X, Omega Ruby and had just purchased Ultramoon
The 3ds games where so good and people just like to hate them because they didn't play it incredibly safe like the ds games and everything that kame before that
The Exp Share was originally the Exp All in RYG so thats really the first time it worked for your full team. The problem with Exp Share in XY was how it wasnt really well balanced.
The 3ds games are my holy grail of Pokemon. I am a 3D designer and seeing how they butchered literally everything artstyle wise in the new switch games... oh man. Sun and Moon for me looks the best, but I am not a big fan of the Hawaii aesthetics, but it looks beautiful. I wish they would have remastered colosseum or Dx for the 3Ds. The GameCube games are my absolute favorit and hold up to this day, they even have better presentation and animation than the switch games - bringing them to the level of detail the 3ds games had would have been perfect (also, 3gen is my favorit).
I loved watching this video all the way through! How you ranked the 3DS main titles is exactly how I'd rank them. I feel mixed about the 3DS era for Pokemon. I loved and still love the first half of it from 2011 to 2015. XY and ORAS are actually some of my favorite games to play in the series and some of my favorite games overall, and despite their problems, I consider them the definitive Pokemon games to this day. There were also some underrated banger 3DS Pokemon spin-off games to come from this era too, like Rumble Blast and Rumble World, Shuffle, Art Academy, Picross, and my favorite spin-off game out of all of them, Super Mystery Dungeon. All of these games I still love playing today! However...the second half of the 3DS era is one that I really dislike. Both SM and USUM are not only some of my least favorite Pokemon games, but they are some of my least favorite games period. Even the one spin-off game to come out during this era felt weak. Detective Pikachu is okay, but it seriously should not have taken this long to come out and it's a weak ending for 3DS Pokemon. Overall, while the latter half of Pokemon's 3DS lifespan was pretty bad, the first half of Pokemon's 3DS era was honestly one of the best times for me as a Pokemon fan and the last time it was fun being a Pokemon fan for me. Like you said at the end of your video, I would've preferred that Pokemon Z or Pokemon X2 and Y2 were a thing (preferably in 2016 instead of SM because USUM made those scams obsolete less than a year later). It's tragic that XY never got a follow-up game unlike every other game in the series. And I don't trust current GameFreak to handle those even remotely well given the current track record they have nowadays, which sucks. Either way, you did a great job making this video and organizing your thoughts on each game during it. It was both entertaining and interesting all throughout. Awesome work! 😎
I must disagree strongly. US/UM were by far the best pokemon games. I never understood why people disliked how much cutscenes there are. It's just story.
@@JC-sz1jn you think z moves are worse than dynamax? and the designs are forgettable. Trump? all the alolan forms? the 2 very well like legends. the tapus. the ultra beasts. forgettable? Sounds like you're hating on arguably the most unique region.
Whenever I compared the DS pokemon games to the 3DS counter parts it's no contest the DS had some of both the most iconic and best pokemon games in the entire series and also I'm a sucker for good pixel art animation so when they dropped that in the next games it really sucked
Issss loved the X and Y games. Really great lore, pokemon designs (My opinion) and I feel even tho they made it easier. I like the different characters and having more than 1 in the main story, despite how 1 to 2 dimensional they can be, the designs are cool, and the colored dialog each one has. Pokemon X and Y had some of the best quality of life improvements for the time. Wondertrade is still the best thing to happen in the pokemon franchise in my opinion.
Okayyy.. I wanted a general overview, not some next level addiction, micro analyze of every town in every pokemon game. XD and for that reason, I'm out.
Let me be honest. This may be one of the greatest videos I’ve seen on RU-vid. The amount of detail you put into this video Is amazing!!! I’ve seen this on my recommended many times and I’ve finally decided to see it but let me tell you I don’t regret it this video is amazing. Good job 👍. You are an amazing RU-vidr and I hope you go far.
Im a big advocate for not introducing that many new mons. I like seeing new stuff just like anybody, but it's a matter of quality vs. quantity. Look how some of the SV mons turned out: Pawmo, Baxcaliubur, Wugtrio, Spidops. It's cuz for the 1st time a 3D gen decided to introduce 100+ new mons (not counting different forms like Megas) into the mix which might've bogged down the entire quality of the designs. The greats still exist like always: Tinkaton, Skeleridge, Box Legends, etc. But the overall strength maybe higher w a lower Pkmn count to worry about.
@@SilasOS1 it's not a bad design but very unconventional & smth else could've served that role better. Ppl predicted that a Pkmn from Gen 10 would the no. 1000. It has a fun design element of surfing on a board & is a fitting representation of Gamefreak: a moneymaker.
You clearly put lots of effort into this video. I love your editing style. Keep up the great work dude. Although I’d say lose the northern Irish accent.
When pokemon scarlet and violet come out in November there will be 9 pokemon games in total on the switch and a few years ago ultra sun and ultra moon were the last main series games to come out so my Theory is that after gen 9 releases there is either gonna be remakes of gen 9 or dlc for gen 9 in the following year 2023 then in the year after that there will be a new console it's like a recycled pattern on the original ds era the last main series games to come out we're b2w2 and before that the first pokemon DS games to come out we're diamond and pearl the first pokemon DS main series titles then before that on gba console the last games were pokemon emerald the first was ruby and Sapphire and the middle games were remakes of the Kanto region so I'm recognizing a pattern Every console life span New generation Remake of an old generation Second new generation DLC or enhanced versions of second new region Move to new console rinse and repeat
The games on the switch besides legends aren't really worth it that is if you always wanted to play a remake of the yellow, aka pikachu and evee as the remakes are called
I'd say your best bet is looking for American copies of the game on eBay. You could also try finding a site selling american eshop codes and buy them digitally, but you need to make sure the site is trustworthy. Starting off with X and Y or Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is what I recommend.
Controversial opinion, Ultra Sun an Moon are some of my favourite main line Pokémon games period. Mostly due to how brutally hard those games were, Gen 6 made me feel like the exp share was an easy mode for the game, these games made it feel like a way to balance out the tougher battles in the game. And don’t say “this battle isn’t hard because you just need to use ___” because not everybody wants to use said Pokémon, and Pokémon's always been encouraging to play your way.
Are you using an emulator? If so, it could be caused by the decompiling. When an animation plays for the first time on an emulator it may stutter as the system decompiles the animation but then once decompiled it won't stutter if it plays again. For example it'll stutter the first time the water gun animation is used then after that the animation won't stutter again and it becomes less common the further through the game you get.
Yeah for sure, I had a great time playing it the first time round but found it hard to replay. I think Alola has really nice vibes, especially towards the end with Mt. Lanakila.
its not possible to ruin pokemon competitive play because taking pokemon super seriously to the point where you are sweating is some acute clown behavior
im gonna be honest im a little salty about sun and moon as they were my first mainline pokemon games and some of my favorites and i also never played x and y but in all fairness thats my opinion
@@jasonkoekemoer2181 apk files are specifically for android devices. If you're using Citra then you're going to want to download CIA files of the Pokemon games
You can hopefully buy the games for £25-40 each (ds game prices are super inflated now) or spend a little more and buy them from the 3DS eshop. The eshop shuts down on the 27th of March so move quick if you want a digital copy
Gen 1-3 were the only good or decent pokemon designs. After that, they became such ridiculously BS.. They basically turned into hideous Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh/Digimon hybrids. As if generation z children drew them themselves.
My favourite designs come from gen 4-7, gen 8 was ok and I don't really like most gen 9 designs. I think opinions on designs largely correlate to when you were were born. Each gen has its own style so I'm not too worried if I dislike the current gen cuz something I like will pop up at some point down the line. The 1000th Pokemon design was a sin tho.
Gen 3 has a literal WHALE 🐳 as a legendary, and started the Starters all being bipedal trend. Gen 4&5 balanced it out by having only 1 bipedal starter.
