I got pulled into this game pretty recently so this is pretty good timing. I only disagree on one thing and that is that the rap in Kazuha's theme brings the trailer down, if you don't like rap that's fine but it's there to tie in to Kazuha's nature as a free spirit, it's a reference to Hip Hop which is known for being a freestyle sort of music genre which has also had a pretty big impact over in Japan, thematically it does actually make sense even if it's not your style. And personally it doesn't really bother me especially with how quiet the vocals are.

kazuha's rap and style in his demo is kind of like a reference to a similar theme with samurai champloo. the anime revolves around traditional and old samurai settings with a contrasting hip-hop/rap ost

Haaaard disagree with the kazuha rap vocals. Kazuha’s rap vocals and rewind effects are one of the main things that set it apart from other demos while also not stemming too far from what it’s trying to represent. I think embracing Japanese style samurai music with a modern touch to it adds something special. It’s like 2016’s Shin Godzilla, the source material was changed a lot, but it is still unquestionably Godzilla, from the roar, to the music. Same here. It maintains that samurai wandering traveler thing while also separating itself, and that’s why I genuinely think it deserves a place on one of the best ones. At least, the best beats

I disagree with the statement at the start that 5* characters are more powerful as most 4*s are on par with five stars. Take Bennett, he provides an irreplaceable buff and can dish out similar damage to diluc. The only difference between a 5 and 4 star is scaling difference of about ~15% on all stats which isn’t to much when considering characters kits

@♡ kourt I’m a theorycrafter, I build teams around characters every time I get asked and most of them are comprised of 4*s with one 5* hypercarry/dps

@♡ kourt their equal to most five stars. If I put xiao, hu tao, kokomi, and raiden in a team it’s going to be worse than a rosaria, kaeya, xinqiu, heizhou team. The game is all about synergy with kits not a number that says “oh these stats are higher”

@♡ kourt no it’s the same, ICD means that most characters in team two are extra applicants. Team one could easily do over supervape swirls with xiao but there’s no 5* pyro that can do it consistently, same with anemo, only sucrose can over supervape swirl consistently

I can't help but feel your criticisms about Yelan's were a little... misaimed? Not liking it is cool! Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying, objectively speaking, the "fanservice" wasn't that at all. Yelan is a dark character - her design alone implies that she uses her looks as part of her spy job. Using the human shield tells us she gets her hands dirtier than most characters. And the kink stuff is a part of her character - she spends her downtime seeking thrills and relishing in the feeling of being in a bit of pain. She loves scaring the shit out of guys like the treasure hoarders too, and given how she's supposed to be a spy I wouldn't be surprised if it's made her at least a bit bitter towards them. Honestly, yelan is a good character. I just felt she came off wrong to you

6:43 insta sub the second I heard this. I don't hate others for liking him, but oh my god the fanbase turned this ginger into something else. 19:15 the music at the moment of Kokomi's burst is also so pretty and probably one of my favorite musical parts of these demos. Of course, the other one is Venti, for loving the background music as well as Erika Harlacher and the elemental skill. Raiden and Zhongli deserved their spots. Edit: I actually don't mind him as a character/he's probably the nicest antagonist and the surfing scene is cool. But the fanbase hypes him up like crazy and I have other favorites too :(
