My favorite blue sky movie is the first The Ice Age. That film was my version of Three Men and A Baby (1987) when I was growing up, but with Animals.

They should’ve called “Rio 2” something more fitting: “Rio: Welcome 2 the Amazon”

I grew up watching Robots, Ice Age and Rio, and i most enjoyed Robots and Rio. I am sad at Blue Skies shutdown considering for majority of my childhood was spent watching their movies.

Nothing went wrong. Disney decided to shut down.

Quality as always. Short and straight to the point. This studio's movie is like a lottery. When is good, it's good and when is meh, it's totally mid. But the animation is totally great.

Rio 2 is also horrible from a rio fan cause of how HORRIBLE everyone seems to treat blu in the movie ESPECIALLY jewel its borderline some sort of abuse id say constantly undermining what blu wants for their own gain and treating him like hes kesser cause hes a pet its so annoying

Rio 2 also had a romantic rival trope even tho Blu and jewel are married and had haves 3 kids .

3:00 Nigel never died in the first one. In the end credit scene you see him featherless after falling from the plane, and one of the monkeys takes an embracing picture of him.

Ferdinand actually has an original animation made by Disney! And Ferdinand is actually charming in the original story and he liked to just stop and smell the flowers!

I LOVEDDD Rio as a kid. It was one of my favorite movies. It’s just so high energy and vibrant. Definitely way better than the rest of the Blue Sky movies.

I disagree with you on the cave scene not being as emotional as the Shrek scene. The cave scene is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and absolutely beautiful. The Shrek scene does hit hard but it doesn't make you cry because you don't see what Shrek has gone through. Manny, on the other hand, you see EXACTLY what he went through. I will agree Shrek is an overall better movie but I can't deny Ice Age 1 has some brilliant moments.

13:16 I agree! In fact, aside from the animation, I think John Powell's music was another mammoth improvement over the original because while listening to both soundtracks, I felt more emotions immediately in Powell's score from tracks like Mammoths and Ellie Remembers.

I think the movies didn’t get much attention as of those of dreamworks did also there was the trademark dispute about the mascot character scrat and the excuses of covid19 that drove Disney into taking this company’s life. Damn I loved this studio down to its final moments and if they knew how to make better movie they should not have made too many ice age products and it would of been better to take lessons from other companies to survive. That’s how i would have seen it in another way. But in another life this company would easily been compatible with Pixar because they only did 3D just like them.

Why does everybody keep hating Ferdinand, I loved that film and it actually brought tears to my eyes a few times.

(Okay, but jokes aside, we all know Antz is DreamWorks Animation’s debut, but as FGW is Amblimation’s first film followed solely by We’re Back! a Dinosaur’s Story and Balto, Amblimation is revealed by Wikipedia to be the sole predecessor of DreamWorks Animation, that’s where the future meme comes from. Now here’s another…) Well, The Secret of NIMH is also Blue Sky Studios’ first film (jokes aside, it’s obviously Ice Age and SoN is really Don Bluth’s first movie, but Blue Sky did have a couple predecessors like Sullivan Bluth Studios and Fox Animation Studios, hence why was quite close to making the joke about Anastasia being Blue Sky’s first film.).

Considering Nimona is basically a Blue Sky movie, im a little surprised you chose not to include or even mention it. I am curious, where in the list would you rank it? Would it top rio? Sure, it wasn’t released by blue sky, but the movie was essentially 70% complete when it was initially shelved back in 2021

here's my points and concerns about all blue sky studios movies 1. Ice age collision course is literally shrek forever after all over again far worst than ice age adventures of buck wild it does not need of fifth film in the franchise 2. rio 2 was really messy I bet Nigel wouldn't be as a same main antagonist as he already is in the first rio since he can't fly anywhere because he was defeated in the plane sequence 3. ice age continental drift is nothing to note its boring I prefer the simpsons short film that was shown before continental drift in theaters the longest daycare over this and the Simpsons movie you should definitely see it first class junk its awesome and really funny I say it's the funniest animated comedy I ever seen 4. Ferdinand John cena was in action movies and they're great with cena in those films he played a character in but him as Ferdinand was not too perfect for his animation character role in this 5. epic was not exciting its like a bug's life and antz combined and then they made this interesting but as personal it kind reminds me of the secret world of arrietty when a female character is small like a borrower for a main character 6. horton hears a who is decent and boring horton isn't an interesting character and it's funny seth Rogen is in this film was in two other films from 2008 he as the voice of mantis in kung fu panda and in pineapple express how coincidence is that and the anime sequence reminds you of the anime sequence in kill bill volume 1 if horton hears a who as an anime I would be shocked blue sky never use anime in their films 7. robots is borderline bad but it does have some credit and the song baby one more time was sort of rare for an animated movie with a song from Brittany spears none of other movies I know except for freaky Friday the 2003 remake had song from Brittany spears in the movies soundtrack and the kung fu panda 4 parody of baby one more time is OK but should not be taken from other singers who did their songs and not make a spoof on them 8. ice age the meltdown is OK its on par with the first film I think its like madagascar 2 but on steroids scrat plays a little bit of heroic role from time to time in this film which I like 9. ice age dawn of the dinosaurs I remember watching on fx and I say it's decent like the the meltdown it is animated movie with dinosaurs what better animated movie that has dinosaurs I can think of the dinosaur sequence in fantasia i love that part in fantasia the land before time that's a classic and we're back a dinosaur's story is interesting and from the songs in the movie look subpar both have better representation of animated dinosaurs than the dinos in ice age dawn of the dinosaurs to be fair I wish scratte would have returned in the ice age sequels but they left her out the rest of the franchise and it's just scrat by himself for now on and buck is better character in dawn of the dinosaurs than he in collision course too and I prefer both fantastic mr fox and alvin and the chipmunks the squeakquel to be fair but I still like dawn of the dinosaurs and it wasn't like shrek the third on laziness of a third film in the franchise 10. spies in disguise is like cars 2 and penguins of madagascar on a decent conclusion to the studio the car chase scene is fun like the car chase in madagascar 3 psycho pass the movie and ghost in the shell are Better spy animated movies other than spies in disguise 11. Ice age is what I remember is like shrek and monsters inc when computer animation is on subpar for new animated movies in later years and it was nominated for an academy award for best animated feature since spirited away won that oscar in 2003 Tara strong voiced the baby in this film I prefer her as bubbles in the powerpuff girls but her as melody in the little mermaid 2 and you want to know something funny ice age came out a before the powerpuff girls movie months later in 2002 12. the peanuts movie is inoffensive and way too safe they make this movie more kid friendly I love snoopy in this film and evem thought I do prefer the original peanuts movies from the 1960s and 70s that are from paramount but I still enjoy this film and it was better than alvin and the chipmunks the road chip that one ruined the alvin and the chipmunks franchise quite literally 13. rio I find it childishly friendly and it was over average it was a great advertisement to Brazil and for an animated musical it was rarely used on modern animated films since walt disney animation studios has their films with musical songs in them and angry birds with rio characters I love how angry birds sponsor rio with the angry birds rio crossover scene with Nigel singing his song in the movie that's better than the angry birds movie but I still think angry birds have their better movie crossover themes in this film and I love angry birds my favorite app Games from my childhood and I love them more in angry birds rio which is fun so what do you think about my points and concerns of all the blue sky studios movies first class junk?

How dare you say that the Sour Kangaroo is the most annoying villain of Blue Sky Studios. She's my most favorite kangaroo characters! Plus you shouldn't say something negative about her when my birthday is coming up on March 27th!
