Rosetta is the best ai companion. She deserves her own tier. I have Narmaya, Percival, Eugene, and Charlotta all maxed with terminus weapons, and Rosetta consistently gets MVP across all boss encounters. Seriously, it's not even close.

The animation in the beginning was nice, hope you do more of them!

It's disappointing that Rackam, Zeta, and Id such as AI companions.

Ok so i'm happy with my Zeta using skills, but you guys just made me wanna test her with no skills and using the sigil that gives you more damage the less skills you have.

so overall if i just wanna play the game and i dont care about minmaxing and stuff, little bit afk farm, the best team is i am playing eugen and the teamcompo is ferry, rosetta and Percival?

youtubers do this for more watch time, you can't blame them, they're trying to make money. there's almost always a commenter that writes it out.

There are alot of the bigger ones that lay it out even if at the end or middle or not even noted just there somewhere. Not saying it has to be at the start.@@Mello675

To make Vaseraga good you can try removing all his skills and then adding the "Less Is More" sigil.

​@jacktheripper7935 I've been having good luck running him with Damnation, Forgotten Tales, Eclipse, with Violent shadows. Rather than his normal gimmick, this does pretty good damage and makes him a decent tank imo

Keep in mind though, you can totally run through all the content just fine with any characters. I was using 2 or sometimes 3 AI companions that I put in C tier for a pretty long while and was still doing fine. Go with the ones you like the most is always my biggest recommendation

@@jxiv7350 I don't have everyone leveled, I just pointed out the differences between actual behaviour and what was said in the video. As I said, I'd have run a DPS test against the dummy if I wanted to make a video about this and had the ressources to actually level and test *all* the characters. Support skills aren't nearly as mandatory or useful as they sound. Most characters bring their own and you may choose 4 random guys and it's very likely that you have def+, atk+ and def-/atk- alongside a heal or stun. I would make the same mistake if I talk about characters I haven't put through a DPS test but since you asked....: As I said for example, Zeta does her rotation almost perfectly. Just get wingclip (Stun) on her and maybe another useful skill and leave the other 2 skills open (or 3 if you think they aren't worth) Don't pick the lunge attack-skill on her because she will *never* use it to start her combo like a player would. She will press her skill - jump backwards - and walk up onto the boss. Since Zeta is doing her cookie-cutter DPS rotation almost perfectly, she should deal solid dps similar to an average player who will miss one or two out of 10. That's very good play. But my Zeta is relatively low level and doesn't have a good weapon. So I have literally no numbers. It's a good example however how important it is to choose the correct skills and how it might even be better to leave a skill slot open. Block-skills are never good on any AI. They will try to block when the enemy is broken. Or Vane will use his bubble when there is nothing going on. I have Numbers for Rackam, Eugen, Ferry and Siegfried though. **Siegfried** is probably the worst out of all of the ones mentioned in terms of damage. On top of that, he is also the most vulnerable. He is 100% reliant on perfect execution and proper attack-timings. The AI will miss every individual attack with 50% accuracy. You will get like 1 perfect execution out of 10 attempts - if a skill doesn't interrupt it. **Rackam** is top tier alongside **Eugen**, Eugen AI is horrible but he is broken and way too strong. A player is a *lot* better. Rackam AI is solid, a player is better but there is not as much of a gap as with Eugen. **Ferrry** AI does a horrible job, but she has the support you need. Free def-shred, free atk-down a heal, good stun and fast SBA generation. **Captain** AI is horrible. Companion AI doesn't use Charge attacks **Percival** is mid, companion AI doesn't use Schlacht properly (unleashes at Schlacht+ instead of Schlacht++), but his skills are good. **Cagliostro** will, just like the captain, not use Charge attacks. She will use bad combos as well. All her scores are usually inflated by her buff, which may do a lot (early game), or very little/ nothing (late game) Things I tested but I don't have leveled up with weapons: **Narmaya** does a lot of stance switches but without proper execution. She stays in the blue-ish stance most of the time. Which is good but it's missing the stance-finishers. **Vane** skills are powerful, AI use skills a lot. Vane is a character you can build with lots of cooldown reduction. He will almost always spam a skill then and will disregard his special ressource. Thats not "bad" but not good either. As I said, his skills deal a ton of damage and the AI will spam skills. **Rosetta** pretty good AI, but the character is rather weak without bug abusing, Useful support however because she heals a ton... good for AFK farming on Proud difficulty. **Charlotta** not good with the parry, spams skills and breaks DPS chains. No numbers, but AI is weak. **Yodarha** pretty bad AI. Doesn't even execute the skill properly that can get you 12(?) hits in a row. Often breaks between 6 and 8 hits. No numbers because not leveled. **Katalina** AI does poorly - maybe usable with Stout Heart. Probably not. AI won't use Ares in a good way. Does rarely extend Ares through skills because AI will always spam skills when available. Not leveled - no numbers. **Lancelot** AI seems actually solid, but I don't even know how to play him myself because I never played him. Looks like he keeps up pressure though. If his "slice and dice" attack is his best move however, AI isn't doing a very good job and will break it in favor of doing something else. (Same issue with Charlotta)

Yep Zeta ai was OP once you take out all low cd skill and forced the ai to just do aerial loop. She litelary turn to became the top 5 dps for ai companion. No wonder Zeta became meta for some tryhard afk farmer. I hope cygames tuned the AI behaviour in future update. Let zeta with 4 skill works, vaseraga use his charged attack nuke, etc

That's honestly what I've been running. I just swap Ferry for whichever other character I want to play

@@darkhero2 yeah, I've been running Zeta as my main and just got her ascension weapon maxed out so probably gonna stay on her for a while at least untill I start getting the weapons for the rest of the cast. I also used to think I wanted a dedicated support with a good heal, but after I put potion hoarder on my build I find that I hardly ever get any benefit from it anyway since I just pop potions before the AI has time to heal me anyways...

Why hate on roseta as an AI ?

If you have a chance could you lay out what skills your using for each of them. I would be curious to try this combo. Been working on leveling everyone.

I do the same thing instead grabbing Rosetta for Cag. In my experience Cag never uses her charge mechanic and against some bosses just stays around, looking. Because of her poor range for her square attacks she rarely starts combos; always the last to build up SBA gauge. Rosetta on the other hand is a DPS machine, almost always grabbing MVP. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

@@AfterImageCreations I don’t know the names of the skills 😂 I am playing now but cag I use the dash one , the spin one , the mimic and phantasmagoria. Perci I use the dash that burns them , the dash that stuns , the multi slash attack and the attack/ defence 20% buff , eugen I use the laser , the barrage of bullets , lightning shot and toxic bullet. 😂 If you have some doubts on which attack is I can tell you the name once I play again.

@@whinemax I am trying her now , I like the iron maiden then making her plants attack non stop then I just explode them. pretty nasty not gonna lie , I just need to max out her terminus weapon. Just farming silver centrums 💀

AI are good at dodging, remember last story quest against Bahamut to unlock proud mission. Try that with AI to see how it perfectly dodge everytime

Cherlotta main here, 100% agree with you. The gap between her skill floor and skill ceiling is big, but as you say other characters don't have to do as much to be mvp. But Charlotta is love, feels awesome when you maximize her rotations, she will be my main always

How does Rackam not use his kit properly compared to Eugen, who doesn't even use sniper stance and dodges himself out of his own range. Rackam does a lot of Burst fire + Charged attacks and does his Bullseye blast on high heat levels. He is almost the best AI companion in terms of kit execution. Out of like 4 attacks. 2 will be correctly timed (and the first one can't be, because it starts the combo) compared to Siegfried's perfect execution (which you'll se once every new moon) he is doing really good.

you are hitting the cap with 45k, you can go lower atk then go for other sigil passives if you want or check all her skills if you capped everything. Like with Caglio you can cap everything except pain train. so it heavily depends on you if you wanna go higher atk or go for comfort sigils like guts autorevive nimble ons etc

I think all the characters are S tier if you are using them properly. This is a tier list for AI companions though.

Lancelot is an s tier for me. With an incincible build, I use him to afk farm proud level bosses. So useful.

Running stout heart is worst thing you can do by far for AI characters. AI don't care and can't sort out, which hit he can take without risk of wipe, and which one you should evade at all cost. This is sole reason why stout heart only good for player characters, since you know what to with it, but AI don't really care. Since stout heart make thier attack interruptible they don't stop chain or evade even if this attack will oneshot them. And this is reason why you should not run it, unless you use it to farm mid tier quests. For endgame stout heart only help to die alot, not for speed quest runs.

@@Biomanable My whole team runs Stout Heart on Proud and we clear in about 2 to 3 minutes (proto bahamut is like 5-7 since they can't cheese as well as other players but can sometimes rarley do it but I have all 18 Weapons so I'm fine with it) that I rarely run with players now. I think it's different per player experience and my AI don't get one shotted and still dodge what they need to even with Stout Heart. They dodge the big shot mechanics but don't dodge simple hits and continue their combos like me saying Id will swing like a madman instead of dodge the simple swipe attack. But at the same time It's probably due to my whole team also being at 24k+ Power and some AI play different then others. Some are really dumb and some are smart. My characters are both tanky with Garrison, Aegis, and Steel Nerves along with being at max power cap with all 20% mastery with Crit, Normal, and skill damage cap. Again that could probably be why my team is working as I didn't try that until I was at 22k power for my team. My party is Siegfried, Id, Kat, and Io. Sometimes I switch out Io for Ferry since she takes full advantage of Stout Heart and Ferry has got me even faster clears.

@@Biomanable If you also ask how it's called having +Tyranny V with Aegis on it. That pretty much counters the damage loss and gain some HP. Also I've noticed that once your attack power is at 18k or so. You are already at max damage cap so raising your attack power more is pointless. Just 2 Tyranny puts me at 28k+ attack power which is pointless so I can run other +Sigils that have Aegis on it to lower my attack power and gain more HP while staying at max damage cap. You also have to think about your party utility instead of running people who can just do damage damage damage. My team is already tanky. So imagine. The AI are already beast at dodging so what does the Regen on the Term weapons do for them along with having Drain? Also imagine Sieg being able to buff the whole party Defence by 70% along with his sigil giving him an additional 20% Defence on perfect execution along with him also providing debuff immunity and additional drain to the party? So that's drain with more drain added. Imagine Ferry and Io who can both heal the team if an emergency happens and can also slow debuff (Id slow debuffs too and can run a defence ability) or running potion hoarder level 15 to heal the whole party in an emergency. Imagine running a Kat who gives the whole party invincibility and yes she uses it when her Ares Gauge is up. You gotta think about your team strategies too haha.

@@JaykeoSaurus There is big difference between maxed geared characters and characters, who don't have terminus and etc. Beside i have more then 2000 completed quests and i mostly run with AI, so i know how and what they doing. Stout heart competely brake their dodge in normal phase(when boss not in overdrive), so they literally get hit from everything. What this mean - if in current moment AI in attack combo - he will not attempt to block or dodge and just get hit. For overdrive state, where boss start mechanic part it somewhat different. This is not disable dodge part and AI can try to dodge, since it can't attack in this phase, however even with this AI with stout heart get hits way more, then characters without it.I see Id die 3 times in row on proto bahamut, with same defence sigils across whole group. I'm not running stout sigils, but he gain it from dragon form. So overall there is huge difference. This, however, don't mean you can't run with stout heart. If you have maxed out gear this is not really matter, but i don't say anything about such conditions, since you mostly farm to get to this point and before you have at least good v+ protective sigils and fully awaken terminus using stout heart just bad idea. Without good enough sigils you can't it make enough defence and damage together and using stout don't really provide any benefits, because in this you need to full def build setups and this is lead to lose alot of you dps. But whole point of useing it to get more dps, which is can't be achived unless you have enough v+ sigils. I don't get any terminus weapons yet, so its not gonna work in my case. Anyway, i don't think ppl, who already have max gear don't know how to make their characters. For those, who still leveling and farming i hardly recommend to not use stout heart.

@@JaykeoSaurus There is one big downside for this, Ai don't care about time, when you need this buffs, debuffs, invincibility. So they just use it on cooldown as part on rotation, so you won't get any of it when you really need it. Only healing skills different, where they can heal, when party get hit and at low hp. For everything else they completely useless, since its rare when their buffs or debuffs stack with boss phase. Way more often you see how uneffective thier skill usage.

Ding ding ding! People kept saying zeta AI is bad and yes it's bad mechanically but the character itself deals so much damage. You wanna know the similarity between them? Supplementary damage skills.

@@wellfed4445 katalina have supp dmg with her sigil too but still weak dps even with full offense build. Zeta is strong cause her aerial atk have high dmg cap and her AI can spam it as many time as they want.

@@Martin-vm7oq Katalina is conditional supp, not supp buff. She only gets supp if ares is on field and you know how the AI hates ares, that is all.

@@wellfed4445 her kit is designed that way AI keep ares uptime 100% on dummy and still do low damage.

a reminder that the dummy only test potential dps and not the damage in practice. My Zeta vs bosses is just random, sometime she just watch the boss and do nothing and is the worst dps of my team sometime she just decide to chain aerial and wreck the bosses. Eugen and perceval are somehow the only consistent AI I noticed and just performed very well overall. Even Rackam is not that good but he is consistent at least.

I used him on bahamut versa and proto bahamut a lot of times since he was my 1st character to reach Lv100 and I constantly saw him missing his charged attack or cancelling it, it was painful 😅

@@darkhero2 never done that on mine sometimes I play with my cousin and he tells me to switch the character because he one shots almost everything

You reach damage cap Lv65 by using 1 stamina 1 tyranny. So other skills outside of Link is useless.

You dont reaaally need a healer. Just run potion hoarder. You get 6 team heals. If you need to heal your team more than 6 times then I would suggest running a healer but thats more than enough. Run dps give them drain+ regen from terminus + improved healing. How can you die. AI almost always dodges an enemies big attack.

Ahh and katalina need to be lowere rank only here support kit is ok the dmg/dps is based on here ares and if u us ares... dont doge.. or killing optjektivs from bosses shes totaly bad maybe b or c tyr

AI Captain also cant manage arts level so when they use skills they most of the time use them at level 1 or 2 butchering the strength and duration of the skill.

lot of youtubers reasonings for things are pretty stupid. There is no tanking/healing in this game both are pointless to even do. The true worth of the AI is how well it can dish out DPS. Most charge based characters are out of the question because the AI is braindead and doesn't use them properly. Same with anyone with complicated combos. The best AI will do lots of damage with skills and pressing X. Next trait to look for is if they have glaciate or paralyze as those are the best CC options with glaciate being the best. Lancelot is routinely put on the bottom of most peoples AI tier list but he out MVPs my maxed out main sometimes because of his CC and the fact all his damage is just mashing normal attacks and the AI will perfect dodge everything. Anyone with simple skills and whos primary damage output is normal attacks will make good AI companions. you don't need support skills especially healing/atk buffs. This is all just fluff bullshit talk to these people can extend the runtime of their videos for advertisement. This games not that complicated.
