if i had a nickle for every time team cherry dedicated a super cool looking and lore deep area to a charm that nobody will probably use, i would be able to afford a can of soda.
Man, you did gathering swarm DIRTY... Whenever I'm exploring, I used it (and dash master) simply because it's so cheap, in the early-mid game you won't have as many notches or charms to make good use of them. You also need a lot of geo for many things, whether it be for buying notches or charms from salubra or sly, upgrading the nail, or making unbreakable charms, gathering swarm makes it just that bit less tedious.
Feel free to go and vote on the live tier list in the pinned comment (and particularly do gathering swarm justice in your eyes!) I will be comparing community list to my own in a later video!
One of your favourite charm setups includes.. SHARP SHADOW!? And you placed it in A Tier! (Also thanks for the mention) 9.99/10 video. Love the use of the You in the corner with the various poses too, so that's why you changed the channel pic! And the gameplay to keep the viewer retention is a neat little trick too
Take part and have your say in the community charm tier list here: live.tiermaker.com/375835 (seriously, do it, I want to compare my list with yours!) p.s. please consider liking and subbing to please the algorithm gods if you enjoyed the vid! kthnx~
Sprint master and wever song +grub song = what kings soul want's to be Sprint master makes them more aggressive and faster just wanted to clear that up
18:25 If you get hit right as you’re almost done focusing, you will actually still heal. It doesn’t show that you healed, which is probably just a glitch, but you might notice next time you get hit you don’t actually lose any masks, meaning that you had an extra one that just wasn’t showing for some reason. I’m not sure if this was intended, but it’s really useful. Also it might only be on the switch version of the game.
Thanks for the tag Brother 🙏 Watching the video right now, very interesting opinion about charms. I really like a "passive" damage build but as you know each boss fight requires a different approach. Still great video 👊
13:00 Furious vengefies. Heavy blow is so useful for keeping those annoying things away. The charm still isn’t that great though since fighting furious vengeflies is the only use it has.
Thk you for actually giving a good rating for steady body❤. A lot of mfs say just hold forward and they don’t realise how powerful it is unless they actually give it a chance, like go beat NKG, PV, No eyes, markoth, Oro & Mato with steady body and see the difference. I would’ve put it in S tier myself. Btw nice editing (:
here is my angry opinion on a subjective list made for fun because I love elitism alright it's elitism time, yay! flukiness is S tier. I think you could argue that it is the best charm in the game (with strength, qslash and shaman). I know the speedkills take time to learn and it's kinda annoying but MAN this kill so many bosses they can even attack! not to mention you can multi kill gorgeous husk multiple times with it to gain some sweet sweet cash money mulah! elitism part 2: sharp shadow A tier surprised me tbh. I do think it's the must fun charm in the game by far (hence yt acc name) but it's really not good at all, most of time you want to jump over the boss and pogo on it instead of dashing through. especially considering that spell twister has the same cost and is in the same tier counter elitism: qfocus in A tier is great :grubomg: nah but like fr good players tend to put it in C or lower cuz why using it but it's a great charm for beginners or for less agressive players elitism part 3: Joni's should have it's own tier "harmful". seriously, it's the only charm that actively makes the game harder in every way possible. it requires way too much notches to be relevant and when you could use shaman strength or qslash instead...
I can absolutely see why you would put flukenest in S. One of the tricky things with "general" tier lists is trying to balance it out for all playstyles - and I think for the average noob who doesnt know how to abuse it, its not that great. decent but not great - and hence I averaged it out a bit. It would be interesting to do a tier list from the perspective of a high skill player only - not that I'd have much experience with that XD
Ok, what the fuck are these other charms? I have never seen these before, like the shade charm and the white defenders crest or some shit. They seem op
Dash master let's you use dash slash downwards but the slash is steel forward so you can do the shal with the longest range without moving. In a way dash master createds a 4th nail art.
For sure, its only saving grace is pale court makes it pretty good - but if you don't count that since its a mod (which is fair), then yeah its TRASH XD
I really disagree with Carefree Melody placement, because this is not just a "more health charm", but more like "better health charm". It gets better the more you heal and the more health you have. You said that player can manipulate this to get better chances to block dmg, but it is also doing this by its own, it don't resets chances after death and the only 2 ways to reset chances are to exit the game or when it block the incoming dmg. So when you want to beat like traitor lord and he beats you and you again to him, you have bigger chances to block dmg. And still I didn't mention that this charm block dmg, meaning that if you get hit by hit that would deal 7 dmg and it blocks it, you don't get any dmg, not like the other health charms. It also works on radiant fights because of that and it is good for pantheons and trails. So I would put it in A tier with charms like quick focus. Also I don't know how glowing womb would be C tier by it's own. It deals less dps than grimmchild lv.2, it disappers when using fast travels stealing your soul, it have knowback making fights more random, it interupts healing and many many more. F tier
Ah yes I admit carefree does become good the more you heal. I mathed it out and it's worth like 1 mask per 4.5 you lose or something. Thing is it's rare a fight goes on that long, therefore it not a huge impact in most play. As for glowing womb, as I mentioned in the vid it's only that high because king's honour synergy gives it busted DMG. Otherwise it would be a lot lower - probably low C tier or D tier tbh. Interesting too hear your thoughts though thanks for sharing and be sure to vote on the community tier list pinned!
@@Vegathron Long fights without benches are not rare if you do pantheons. It has probably saved me 3 - 5 masks per pantheon between benches, mainly because of bosses that do double damage. When doing p5, because of double damage bosses, assuming you take the same amount of hits from every boss you will save around 1/4 masks per hit you take. and when playing against only double damage bosses, it is worth 2 masks per 5 hits. So 1 mask per 4.5 hits vs only 1 damage bosses, 1 mask per 4 hits in p5*, and 1 mask per 2.5 hits vs only 2 damage per hit bosses.
Okay, look at the whole of B-tier. And then look me straight in the eyes and tell me that any of those other than compass and maybe boon of hallownest are better than Dash/Sprintmaster. THEN also tell me that everyone likes grubsong better than steady body. You're actually capping bro. Underrated tho I do enjoy watching ur vids
I just love how it trivializes certain phases of bosses and lets me deal an extra hit fairly often. to be fair I use it to sort of cheese certain boss moves instead of learning them properly XD
Longnail + Mark of Pride + Unbreakable strength is what I did everything in the game with lol. The other 3 notches were flexible. Although most of the time they were the compass, the one that picks up geo for me and the one that gives me soul on getting hit. Because that is the ultimate convenience combo for just exploring the map. Anyways, MAXIMUM RANGE with MAXIMUM DAMAGE is just the smoothest experience honestly. For Godhome I slapped on quickslash with my remaining 3 notches and I loved it. A rapid fire, high damage, high range melee machine gun basically. And because of the high range, I can often spamm close to a boss and get off loads of damage without pushing myself out of range within that damage window, while keeping the flexibility of the additional range to enable damage windows that I otherwise couldn't take. Double range charms every day.
@@herxantpl6183 Bro what are we arguing? I defined it as damage I have without conditions needing to be fulfilled, like fury of the fallen only being active on one HP. If you wanna discuss anything, how about saying anything to add to the convo instead of just saying useless stuff I literally already answered, guess reading comprehension is hard.
