Number one doesn’t surprise me, so many people actually love that version of Dr. Wily and the fight. Pretty iconic.

Huge agree on #1. Another interesting and cool thing about Alien Wily is that, not only do the other weopons not hurt him, but they HEAL him. If you've damaged him quite a bit with Bubble Lead, then decided (for some reason) to switch and try ANY other weapon against him, it COMPLETELY RESTORES HIS HEALTH BAR. I don't know of any other instance in the series where something like this occurs.

The glass dome thing on the alien wily's fight is beautiful

I remember years ago when I watched the Megaman Upon a Star anime. It was back when Netflix would also let you get DVDs through the mail that you could watch and return. I don't think they still do that.

A video of the alien fight is what single handedly converted me from a metroid fan as number 1 game and megaman hater to megaman number 1 game for the rest of my life when I was a kid. It single handedly got me into megaman and hasn't changed even a bit.

I am 100% certain that MM4's Wily Machine needs you to detonate the drill bomb manually, I know because I never knew you could even do that for decades

I'd put Wily Machine #7 final form at the very bottom. No doubt they heard players say the final boss of the previous game was very easy. However, they went too far in the opposite direction here. It's also a major jump in difficulty from its first form.

I know you don't have interest focusing on Powered Up, but Wily Machine #1's first form is an actual land vehicle in that remake. However, the final form is more reminiscent of the original NES counterpart.

You should definitely play and include the Megaman World (Gameboy) games. The Wily Machines there (especially 1 and 3) are great! I personally love the concepts of final battles in Megaman games, that can't be beaten with lemons. Of all I think Megaman World 1 did it best with Enkers Shield
