Wind was my favorite. Loved the atmosphere of being on a giant floating ship, loved the puzzles although they were a bit simple, but most of all and I think I speak for everyone or almost everyone when I say that colgera is easily a top 3 boss if you don’t cheese it.
Nice list. I personally ended up doing Fire-Wind-Lightning-Water. As you can imagine, going from Lightning to the Water temple was such a letdown lol, but then the Sprit Temple/Construct Factory made up for it.
Your list is pretty close to mine, 1. Lightning 2. Fire 3.Spirit 4.wind 5.water 6.hyrule castle I will also say, if you haven’t listen to lightning temple act four theme on RU-vid, easily, the best new piece of music in the game, it feels like old-school Zelda with classic dungeon theme music
Was I the only one to do this but when I went down the stairs in the lighting temple intrace when I reached the bottom I used ascend and went straight up to the elevator room.
1) Lightning Temple - I just wish that Riju’s ability was used for electric current puzzles. Still the best dungeon in the game, and one of my favorites in the series. 2) Fire Temple - might become my favorite on a replay, but I don’t like how you can cheese the puzzles. 3) Wind Temple - a couple of the puzzles weren’t even puzzles. Best atmosphere out of all the dungeons. 4) Construct Factory + Spirit Temple - I wish that we used Mineru’s ability to solve puzzles in the Spirit Temple instead of The Depths. 5) Hyrule Castle + Forgotten Foundation - the final descent is incredible, but the floating castle part where you chase obviously fake Zelda around sucked. 6) Water Temple - could’ve been in a cave, weak atmosphere, too short, but had a couple of cool puzzles. Some Divine Beasts were better than this one.
I liked the diversity overall l. I would say also Wind was last to me because it too simple and last boss lame- way too easy. Next is Goron- overly convoluted and not very fun but the last boss was quite fun. I actually liked Water temple- the puzzles could have been more but I love how it starts with the lake and caves and lets you follow the waterfalls up and the low gravity substitutes underwater sections from Ocarina. Spirit was next- quite fun and gets you the best summon, and last boss a throwback to Punch Out! The best was Thunder for sure-had amazing intro, two phases of the main boss and great atmosphere and better puzzles. Overall this game is the best game of the past 20 years for me! Not really much I would change. Super polished experience!
Yo Essay. Construct Factory was EPIC!!! The music was so good. The fact I found before I knew what is for. Got denied entry in the depots, just added a whole layer of mystery. I had most of the depths explored and almost 120 shrines before I did the Lightning Temple first. 🤣See ya Dude.
Overall what are your thoughts on the game? Like it more than BOTW? Think it strays too much from the Zelda formula? I like it, but I think I’m ready for a more original Zelda game
I enjoyed it a lot. The dungeons were a let down but everything else was great. I'm ready to move on from the BOTW formula. Open world is cool but I'm over shrines.
I'd swap Fire and Wind but otherwise agree. My only issue with the desert temple was that I used ascend in the very first room and skipped that entire exploration section and it locked me out of going back to check it out later
Wind is too easy, Fire has too many rock bridges, Water is pretty mediocre with some blandness, and Lightning COULD'VE been a 10/10 if they did more for the two simple terminals
I did heinous things to the fire temple. Like absolutely vile. I just used the glider to glide under the marked rooms, fired an ice fruit at the lava underneath them, then ascended up to the gongs. Even found a little tiny room that was a perfect box with only enough room for link to crouch in.
Pretty much same ranking (glad you changed your mind about the fire dungeon) but I found the Construct Factory to be just abysmal so it's easily my least favourite, even below water.
I’ve been to wind-fire-water in order. Unexpectedly, so far water is my favorite, short but sweet. Followed by fire, I did it actually using the carts. Wind was honestly pretty disappointing. No challenge or cool idea whatsoever. Can’t wait to get to the other ones and see what my list ends up being!
construct dungeon..was most annoying to me as i was there before the questline started and every of the factories didnt work +. I felt like i was stupid not finding a riddle solution in all 4.
I am so here for the water temple hate! Agree with everything you said. I think a neat idea would have been to have the bulk of the temple in the waterworks with only the final boss arena being in some ancient wellspring in the sky.
