@@serbianskylands8776 lol, if anything a lame accent its American accents. Im allowed to say that cuz I'm American. Also, he did spell it out as "Rampart" so I dont think it was his accent
@@Hypnosniper I think man was just joking abt calling his accent lame, any accent is lame if u speak it because is doesn't sound like an accent it just sounds like normal, boring speech
7:01 the placement of the hat and the cash in that gate do kinde make sence. Because for golden queen it's all about the gold. And she doesn't give a heck about the hat in that gate. So she is' protecting' the gold with a tedious (for the player useless) block push puzzle. In the hope we wouldn't complete it. And the hat just nexr to it. Because it's worthless for her
I honestly loved the elemental gates, they gave you a reason to break up your play style and change characters every once in a while each level. I was kind of sad to see them go away in superchargers
Well, they were kind of in there. They were the Supercharger Rift Portals or something like that, where you needed a Supercharger to put the portal back together to go through it. Then when you were inside, it was like an elemental zone i.e. in Cloud Kingdom, there was a Tech one with a platforming section across gears with lightning balls, obstructive clouds, and enemies. The problem with these gates I guess is that they don't require a Skylander of that element to unlock them; they only require a Supercharger, but they are still kind of Elemental Gates.
I felt even more useless when I first encountered it because my only water Skylander at the time was Gill Grunt and I had just lost him in the Chop Chop ambush
the water gate from aerial attack gives off a sort of eerie feeling, since you get a somewhat normal water island mixed in with an ominous green sky, I feel like it fits well with the theme of the mysterious ghost ship
I personally like the lore of the water gate that is given in the strategy guide. Apparently the ghost pirates took a fish called the "Stay-at-home fish" or something like that, which takes its home with it wherever it goes. It's an interesting little tidbit that is just one of many pieces of lore that only people who buy the strategy guides can view.
I love elemental gates. I mean, yes, they are just an excuse to encourage you to buy more figures, (even a TFB team member admitted this in a dev commentary), but they're fun and also encourage you to explore and collect stuff, adding replay value to the game.
fun fact: the undead battlefield gate made me tilt so much that i unplugged the control by yanking it (i use wired) and my xbox fell when i did that (as in it was dangling, only saved by cords) and i put it back up, checked the disc and it was scratched to bits. i kept going with the game, 3-staring crawling catacombs and cadaverous crypt, until it wouldnt load creepy citadel. so the undead gate was literally the reason i couldnt finish ssa
11:45 I always interpreted the water that shoots you up as heated water, so you'd be launched by geysers. 12:22 Weapon Master says it was a sacred spring that people took rests in. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t have enemies for that reaosn
at this point krypt, i'm just wondering what your going to do next, S.S.A enemies from worst to best? elemental zone's from worst to best? Mabu from worst to best? catchphrases from worst to best? CUP SIZE FROM WORST TO BEST?
52:37: Whenever I play this gate I hear Gangsters Paradise. That is because my mom was listening to it in the other room when I first played it. Kinda funny.
Aerial attack air gate gave me Goosebumps when first playing it, even now too especially if you time the music right to when you basically Super jump!, its soo epic
I love the Trap Team Elemental Gates and their theme songs. However, I definitely agree with the order of all 48 of them you put them into: Cradle of the Four Winds (worst; Air element; Lair of the Golden Queen) to Aylis' Arcane Archive (best; Magic element; Midnight Museum).
I love the elemental gates in Skylanders If I decide to make more videos I will definitely make videos about the elemental gates And trap team despite the bad part of it I love the atmosphere in the gates
ive just been playing through skylanders again, interrupted by Baldurs Gate 3 during Skylanders 3. im glad someone reported on the absolutely sinful bomb rolling gate in the first one. i was certain i juat gave up on that one as a kid after doing it again.
I can’t believe you also picked Battlefield - Undead as the worst Elemental Gate in the series, I had some bad memories from that and I spent over 10 minutes in there at one time to just get the chest because I was stupid before I realized how you should do 😂
Any chances you can do a ranking of all colors that your imaginator can have in skylanders imaginators? (Which also includes all of the colors that are related to the specific crystal it was used to create with. And also the Spyro's adventure based colors too.) 41:03 this would have worked even better if the gate was from the Dark Element though (or having Cynder or Trap Shadow as well, but you do you.)
The Air gate in Aerial Attack WOULD be one of my favourite gates, because it's the only one in Giants that is more than 10 seconds long, and I absolutely love the Air gate music, but... there's a glitch on the Wii version where you can get stuck in the clouds, forcing you to restart the level. Also it kind of sucks having two REALLY long elemental gates in the same level as you end up spending most of the level in them (plus I think there's only like two collectibles in the whole level NOT in the gates). I'm kind of biased against the Tech one in SVOS because I only found it on my fourth time playing the level but the first time I got stuck and had to restart because I didn't realise you could (and I think have to) walk around one of the clockwork walls (and I can't remember if you have any enemies there, which is kind of a deal-maker for me). I much prefer the big one in Molekin Mountain, because it feels less repetitive and I think it's the only gate in the game that is essentially part of the level progression (in other words, using this gate means you get to skip a part of the level as you go right through it rather than it being a dead end). I would have put the Undead gate in Rumbletown higher because of the Skystones game and because it's the only gate with two exits. I also would have raised the Earth gate in Bringing Order to Kaos as Crystal Golems are always fun to fight.
Fun fact that undead gay at the beginning of the episode is an XBox exclusive type of deal with the ball rolling whenever I play the game on my Wii edition of the game it never has that problem I can always push the explosive bombs very well and I never have problems with them
I believe it's actually the Xbox version cuz the bomb roll thing on the PlayStation version works just as intended so it was most likely an error transferring it from PlayStation to Xbox
Either I didnt pay Good enough atention, either i had a game that bugged or you forgot to mention that the life gate in ssa c2 is compleatly hidden and just randomly apears when you have a life skylander in the right spot. Did you mention that gate at all?
7:41: Yea, I did a locke for fun with my favorite Skylanders of each element, and Slam Bam is my favorite water. I was 100%ing the game and I had to break the rules to get this hat >:(
I actually hold a grudge against the larger Tech gate in Molekin Mountain because of how out-of-place the hat is. It took me so many trips through it to find the hat, because the camera angle never showed me the hat box for my game, so I missed it almost every time. Ironically, I loved the Trucker Hat, which was the hat found in this gate.
I didn't even know there were any collectibles in there for a while and just assumed it was a shortcut through the level, but regardless I do like the gate, easily the best Tech gate in Giants for me
Thanks for reminding me about how much I hate my Wii U. The joysticks, touch screen, and D pad don’t work anymore so I can’t do platforming in the games (the fights are hard too since my Skylanders can never stop moving)
Wasnt there a Swap Force gate, where you help out a treeman find his friend, and it turs out that they were both spellpunks the whole time? I think it was from Fantasm forest
you should play through glacier gully with flameslinger, you can go SUPER FAST and the aoe of the flame circles can be huge in those slide bowls you get keys from
i was confused when light and dark gates were mentioned, guess thats what i get for playing on the wii, which i guess never got patched with that in a country which didnt make a big deal out of it whatsoever, first time i heard of it but suddenly it makes sense what those "unknown element" gates were i mean, swap force was missing half of the level at times on the same console
I don't have a problem with any of the lower Spyros adventure gates. I might be a little to skilled to be playing Skylanders games but I don't find them hard at all. Their creativity is really fun.
For me the bomb rolling mechanic in the Battlefield undead gate worked perfectly, and it was on the Wii, arguably the more uglier port for SSA. Then again, I don't care about said undead gate because it dosen't have S P I N I N G B L A D E S
Every day that passes I see the Wii version of Spyro’s Adventure as superior to the other ones. I typically have an issue with the ball rolling in that game, and the game itself is harder than the other versions.
The only way I could get through the pipes on Oilspill Island was because I read through the guide book. I still don't have that stupid maze memorized.
The tech gate in The Ultimate Weapon should be lower cause it’s the only gate in the game that has a legendary treasure. Every other treasure is available in normal puzzles and it makes this one really annoying
I was actually somehow able to glitch the game to break so that the gates in the chef zeplin wouldn’t appear so I got to go through the light gate (but I don’t have a light trap master) sadly the jump pad was missing sooo I was stuck (This happened when I switched right before the bomb shell fight and got warped to the air gate area)
