@@gavin_esq If you revive them they are not rocks anymore. I convinced some of them were even dual typed but thanks to the rock type they lost it. An example would be Cradily which could have been grass poison since it injects victims with poison or a grass water type since it lived in the ocean
@@gnilogaming Bruh. We already have Ground and Rock type. What would fossil type change about Rock or Ground type? Even making fossil Pokémon be Ghost types makes more sense than adding a stupid fossil type.
For real, it seems like he’s got some sorta hate towards it! I personally like the gem 5 fossils, they’re both pretty cool and I would love to have em on my team
This guy is the embodiment of half knowledge is more dangerous that no knowledge. I mean just stay in your line, either judge thinks based on looks or on performance. You can't be doing both at the same time with Pokemon.
saying that galar fossils are bad because of their looking and they are "wrong built" is basically like saying that a car is bad because you don't have the key
We have the Galar fossils who all reference the Fossil Wars, a time when some British palaeontologists were having a race to see who could discover more new species than the rest and ended up shoving random bones together and calling it a day, and then we have Imastar who has a horrifying face and the mini tentacles kinda feel strapped on and only work in a 2D environment when you look at it head on
Honestly the more I look at the galar fossils the more I like their design. As an example, the fact that dracovish’s neck turns into dracozolt’s tail is really creative.
Gen one fossils kinda suck beside Areodactyl, I personally like gens 5 and 6’s fossils, also Gen 8 fossils are kinda suppose to be ugly, it’s because they are intentionally wrong
Gen 8 being ugly is what gives them their charm you don't need everything being cutesy it also gives them a Frankenstein look and they are based on a real life event
@@foolishamphibian they are based on the practice of scientists putting the remains of dinosaurs with different dinosaurs remains and mistakenly calling it a new dinosaur
For the ones Who wanna know which prehistoric animals these are based on i made this list here 1.dracovish/arctovish is based on a prehistoric fish called dunkleosteus an armored jawed fish 2.arctozolt/dracozolt is a type of troodontid/dromeosaurid raptor like or raptors and Its tail part resembling more of a stegosaurid with Its spikes/plates 3.carracosta Line is based on a prehistoric turtle called archelon 4.archeops Line is based on archaeopteryx a feathered dinosaur 5.armaldo Line is based on something called anomalocaris which is an early stem-group of arthropods(arthropods are invertebrates such as insects, spiders or crustaceans) thought i would explain some of these better for the ones Who dont know What some things are 6.cradily Line are crinoids which are sea lilies which also are related to starfish and sea urchins and despite the name sea lillies are animals not plants 7.rampardos Line are pachycephalosauruses 8.bastiodon Line which are based on the ceratopsid named chasmosaurus a medium-sized ceratopsid 9.tyrantrum Line which is obviously based on trex 10.aurorus Line which are based on the sauropod named amargasaurus which was a small sauropod 11.kabutops Line which is based on trilobites 12.omastar Line which is based on the cephalopod ammonite(cephalopods are like squid, octopuses, cuttlefish and such) 13.aerodactyl is based on a pterosaur which everyone proabably know but did you know theres a pterosaur actually named aerodactylus. Dont know if anyone wanted to know any of this but here you go and Sorry if theres any spelling mistakes im not english😅
A month late but Kabutops take olso inspiration from the see scorpions, it's not really visible but the pokedeks mention how they can retract arms and legs to swim faster (if you try to imagine how it would look like that and you know what a see scorpion look like you'll see some similarities)
The galar fossils are meant to be based off of the fossil rush, where “archeologists” (more like people who mined with knowledge of history) would usually mix up dinosaur bones.
I do really like The Zolts, I think they’re just really cute. Also their whole thing is a reference to early palaeontologists not putting dinosaur skeletons together with bones from the same species thinking they’d discovered a new Dinosaur
Gen 5 was actually pretty cool considering Archeops is based on Archaeopteryx which is the believed to be the first bird dating to around 150 million years old so I think it’s pretty cool background wise if not game wise
Competitively speaking: 1st - Galar Fossils (Dracovish is Ubers, miles better than anything on this list, and the other ones are also great) 2nd - Kanto Fossils (Aerodactyl NU and Omastar PUBL) 3rd - Kalos Fossils (Only because Tyrantrum is NU) The other ones are either PU, ZU or, mostly, straight up Untiered. Archeops is PU, Armaldo is ZU, then you have Cradily, Bastiodon, Rampardos, Carracosta and Kabutops, all in Untiered. I'd make an argument for Kabutops, but I'm not in the mood after watching this video.
Never has not recommend been so useful Oh tHe geN EiGht FosSiLs arE so uGly That’s the point. They are meant to be ugly cause their parts of different creatures the person who revives them is cara Liss careless I have NEVER been so angry about a Pokémon opinion before but Here I am
Unovan fossils are underrated, some of my fav fossils. Here's my list: 1: Gen 6 (Aurorus and Tyrantrum) 2: Gen 5 (Carracosta and Arch... Idk I forgor 💀) 3: Gen 1 (everyone knows gen 1) 4: Gen 8 (Draco/Arctovish and Draco/Arctozolt) 5: Gen 4 (Rampardos and Bastiodon) 6: Gen 3 (Cradily and... I forgor again 💀)
Bro really had the nerve to say the only non rock type fossils are trash. AND didn’t mention how cracked they are. Except for Dracovish. Man I think Galar killed his family or smth.
Dracovish is literally… the strongest fossil Pokémon… ever. Not to mention, Galar’s fossils have a super cool way of reviving them. This guy’s nostalgia bias is so strong.
Gen 8 fossils are my favourites😅 theyre designs are awesome! I love how they all are parts from 4 pokemon but mixed in different ways😂 also Dracovish is so cool
My ranking is this Last place - Gen 3(Very bland and ugly designs) 5th place - Gen 1(My nostalgia for lord helix is gone and Kabutops and Aerodactyl are kinda mid) 4th Place - Gen 8(Very unique concept and execution. If it weren’t for Arctovisch Id like them more) 3rd Place - Gen 5 fossils(Both are incredibly interesting designs and I love Archeops however defeatist exists.) 2nd place - Gen 4 fossils(Rampardos is my 5th favourite Pokemon of all time and hard carries but I will admit Bastiodon is cool also) 1st place - Gen 6(Tyrantrum being a badass TRex with such immense ferocity and Aurorus is this increibly elegant Brachiosaurus who just radiates beauty. I love both of these design concepts)
I was so not interested in Galar at all that I forgot that those were fossils, they even didn't look as fossils. Totally agree with everything here, Aurorus is my favorite ♥️
Nah though because Galar’s fossils were not only the most original, but the funniest and they still look cool! I love how anyone mixed with the cold fish becomes cold with either a runny nose or literally turning blue. That’s a cute and funny detail. Just because they aren’t “epic” doesn’t make them good.
Gen 6 fossils deserve 1st place because they are fricking awesome, one is a badass T-Rex and another is a beautiful ice dinosaur? Sign me up! Gen 8 fossils are supposed to be weird, but damn do they kill. Also, justice for the Unova fossils, Carracosta is incredible and Solid Rock really helps it and since Archeops is very fast, it will stay healthy most of the time and demolish.
Personally I think the galar ones are the best, theyre great stat speaking, there one of the only ones without the traditional rock type, them being mismatched fusions of other fossils makes them more unique, and also means we probably will be able to see their true forms since the pokemon games are set mostly in the past now besides remakes, and honestly are just very cool unique designs
I lowkey think the Gen7 fossils some of the best, it’s really creative how they addressed the issue of mismatched fossils and kinda about how scientists will want discovery so bad they let kinda creepy mixes like that be real, plus strong as hell, fun typings, cool gimmick
Galar ones are just the best cuz they're inspired by real fossils. At times fossils used to be arranged randomly to give the idea of a new discovery. The best objectively
The reason the Gen 8 Pokemon are all mixed up it's because they're based off the bone wars when to paleontologist tried finding us much species as they can that's how brontosaurus came into existence
Bro Gen 5 doesn't deserve this much hate from the community. Yes the starters and other mons are not the best designed compared to others but I love gen 4's fossils and I just really like the story and think it has one of the best evil teams. Tbh, Unova has been getting some spotlight recently but it's mainly about if we get another legends game.
it's crazy that this guy has a 1/50 chance of actually having a good list, watching his videos is like trudging through a minefield. Very hard to get through it all just to find one list that isn't atrocious. I try and respect his opinion for the most part but man. This dude just despises Gen 5. and putting Gen 6 at number 2 while galar (creatively and competitievly more interesting and viable) is actually hard to believe.
So you find gen 5 boring, but still rank them higher than galar fossils? Galar fossils are literal mismatched fossils like how they used to do in the UK all the time. Then they're the first group to be different types other than rock. How is that not more exciting than a group of fossils you find boring?? And then saying the ice/rock type is good in battle....tf 🙄
My favorite Pokémon game is gen 5 unpopular opinion but I actually don’t think the fossils are number one because of archeops ability that lowers stats so I give it to the gen 6 because they are powerful and awesome
Average ranking pokemon be like: 1. The gen that the ranker hate in the last spot 2. The favorite gen in the top 3 or top 2 3. The gen one on the top 1 and the reason because gen 1 is the og
