I would say that Golden Mini is a very good tower in general, I use the GMini + Accel combo in solo fallen matches, and I end up humiliating practically the entire mode, and it can also help a lot in matches like Hardcore, Badlands, etc. .. But I agree with you that he eventually loses relevance to other more powerful towers. And damn 8 minutes of video with very good quality? I think the way they should make golden skins is to make it like like an entire different version of the default tower. For example, if the base Pyromancer deals a lot of damage and is amazing at crowd control, Golden Pyromancer could drop that entirely but slow enemies down and melt their defense. This way, both versions can be used and you'll have to pick which one to use. It'll almost be like you got a brand new tower from a skin crate.
Golden Cowboy should have it's own tier above S tbh. It is a really great skin which made solo hardcore possible (and now accel and engineer are paying for it lol)

I think gold mini is the best dps in the game whilst accelerator with commander has 2600 dps and engi has 2116 dps. Mini can have up to 35 of them placed which makes it far better of a dps averaging about 4000 dps If you use farm you'd not have an early game tower but this is where the gold cowboy fits in It can make a lot of money and deal a decent amount of damage whilst making a lot of money But that's a load out with all supports If you were to take away say medic then you could've had gold cowboy and farm as well making the perfect loadout for the most dps
8 Accels is actually 2400 DPS(Base(300DPS per each)), 3,000DPS with Commander(Maxed(25% firerate boost), 3,720DPS with Commander Ability(Maxed(55% Firerate boost)). 6 Engineer’s is 2,700DPS(Base(450DPS per each)), 3,375DPS with Commander(maxed(25% firerate boost)), 4,185DPS with Commander Ability(Maxed(55% firerate boost)). 35 Golden Mingunners is 4,200DPS(Base(120DPS per each)), 5,250DPS with Commander(maxed(25% firerate boost)), 6,510DPS with Commander Ability(maxed(55% firerate boost)). I’m not sure if you’re even going to afford 35 max Golden Minigunner’s in any mode besides Hardcore. And besides solo-trio, Golden Minigunner won’t even be able to do more dps then any if the two towers mentioned above in squads. Combine that with less money in duo-squads and you won’t even be able to max out the placement limit given to you.
The golden pyromancer actually has a lot of utility in wave 40 of fallen, being able to melt the defense of fallen guardians. This makes them much faster to kill off and i think makes gold pyro even better.
Quick correction, at 5:15, you got the price of the crook boss wrong, its 650 cash to place, not 700. Otherwise, great unbiased vid! Can't wait to see more!
I completely respect your opinion on all of these towers, but I kinda want to talk a little bit about my experience doing my first solo with one of my current favorite golden tower: the Golden Crook Boss. You mentioned that it is not the greatest for late game, but surprisingly enough, with some help from only 2 minigunners, 2 Accel, and a handful of Medics, I managed to easily fight the Molten Titan in a solo match, with the help of 4 max level Golden Crook Bosses and their minions as well. The DPS, in my opinion, was completely insane, and with good balance on price as well! Until I unlock Golden Cowboy, Golden Scout, and Golden Minigunner, I would put Golden Crook Boss as an S tier on my own list, but like I said, I highly respect your thoughts and opinions about the towers. this is like the first time I've ever seen the worst ranked g tower being the g mini (gcb was placed before g mini in the tier list) I do kind agree though, g mini nowadays is easily outclassed by other high dps towers, like accel and ranger and especially engi and pursuit
Golden cowboy is already not that great on quad but of course in typical tds fashion they’re gonna nerf it anyway. I’m certain they’re gonna nerf literally everything about it and make it worse than farm even on solo.
it only underperforms slighty on squad matches, but it has an extreme amount of versatility in every other situations It can be used as an early game tower level 3 does a stupid amount of damage when spammed practically making mid-game irrelevant (besides the tank) It even has decent dps in the late-game WHILE generating you income throughout the entirety fo the game, so you can easily afford your late-game dps towers along with your support towers (if your using any) and 20-or so maxed golden cowboys I'm certain they will nerf it's cash shot in the rebalance in turn for more dps (and maybe higher upgrade cost)

@@redbool1115 yes it's worse on quads than on solo/duo, but the difficulty curve isn't shortened, it's outright redundant it acts as an early game tower, mid-game tower, sub dps for late-game AND it's an economy tower, meaning that your going to get the same if not more money than 8 max farms give and since its also a very good early game option, your defending waves WHILE increasing your passive income at the same time, something that no other towers can do simply because the farm doesn't attack. It's pretty much the only reason why solo hc was possible, it's good dps and cash shot combined with hc's stronger (but sometimes slower) enemies let you farm hard of them Even lead bosses become effective cash cows even though cowboy can't even damage them in the first place
it can be used in every circumstance besides maybe regular quad matches (gcowboy benefits heavily from the custom gamemodes's stronger enemies, so its still very useful there unlike in the 3 main difficulties) hell gcowboy is even being incorporated into hardcore Trio speedruns
Many players and RU-vidrs say that Golden Scout is the best golden tower and Golden Soldier is trash, but I actually agree with you that GSoldier is better than Gscout. When I'm using Gsoldier for early waves I feel like it's much easier to use and I can farm freely while the soldier do their job, but for GScout I have to constantly placing and upgrading them to deal with incoming enemies. Gsoldier can also be spammed on the last wave and they can actually significantly increase your dps whilst Gscout cannot do so, due to their low dps at max level. I fully agree with your tier list, keep up on making these awesome videos.
i really enjoyed the new update where golden soldier got buffed, and sicne both golden soldier and pyro had a big buff i think the worst golden tower is golden crock boss, it is barely able to win normal mode + i tried golden mini and it is not that bad i mean it has less dps than accelerator but more consistance and less risky
golden crook boss may not be the best by itself but it’s pretty good early game to mid game where spamming level 3’s is decently cheap and allows you to focus on farms and late game towers
Gso should be higher than gm because it has more uses than gm. You can use gso as an early-mid game and for hc early while gm is only useful for like exclusively mid game and then forgot about it until you got all your maxed late game dps towers there

My Ranking 6. Golden Crook , It has the same dps with almost the same price with lvl 3 gmini for the tower itself and you can only utilize the henchmen in a specific map such as crossroad , short map such badlands 2 5. Golden mini , its dps on the max level is not great , 70 dps on lvl 3 and 103 dps on lvl 4 i think it should be double , maybe 140 considering it cost twice as much to max it 4. Golden Cowboy , after the nerf its just not worth it , 20k to fully max and only 54dps while it took 12 shots instead 6 to generate money 3. Golden Pyro , Hidden detection at lvl 0 and cheaper to place and upgrade on level 1-3 , great for shadows and it can solo def in molten from wave 1-9 on lvl 0! 2. Golden Soldier , I prefer this to a gscout in a curvy/long lane because of its bigger range , it has flying detection also , so i can use this in pizza quad incase someone doesn't bring mortar or ranger 1. Golden scout , nice for Speedrunning , 4-6 of them max with cmd can hold until wave 29 in fallen , so much space for you and your team to farm!
golden pyromancer is a S tier. i once left it and upgraded it and when I look at the total damage IT WAS A WHOPPING 89 THOUSAND total damage and at the end it reached 100k.
I think they should totally make gold crates cheaper and then gold towers being underpowered would be okay, then they can give people who already have gold towers like an exclusive skin and make unopened gold crates give the skins themselves. Though I don't know how to balance the already broken gold towers without breaking all the strategies people worked hard on. they don't seem to care about that lately though *sad lol*
Would you rather? Beat Quickdraw mode, farm for 50k coins to buy the golden crate, cross your fingers to get a golden cowboy and restart if u don't get it OR Get farm (money)
In my opinion, Gold Pyro is slightly better than Cowboy, but maybe it is because I have not used the tower that much. Quick question, do the yellow- HP bar enemies have count as shield? And, does Pyro deplete ALL shield?
I persoanly think that G Mini is underrated, its not So much worse than Accel and Ranger if we Just consider its use DPS wise... I think G Mini is great, the only thing that Holds it back its that it is stunnable, i think if they made Golden version resistant So stuns it would become way more preferable over other towers Also, if im honest... I think that G Mini is the Best choice over any other tower, if i Just place like 24 of them i have more dps than any other tower in game.... And its way more useful than accel or engi since it deals faster but less damage, and you might think it does not matter until you realize that shield (50% shield enemies) exist... And The G mini is way better on them than on engineer or ranger or acclerator
Mini and g mini low dmg sometimes get lowerd way more against enemies with defense, accel and engi are better against defense. G mini is great on solo since you can place like 30 of them to get more dps than any other late game tower. But with 3 or more people it's always better to bring ranger/pursuit/accel/engi
hey do yo uhave any updated version or anything of your afk gems script ? it doesn't work with me i had to help him go in the hc elevator and while in the game it didn't placed the units in the spots
it takes several attempts for it to enter the elevator due to the lobby spawning being random. If you walked it in then it doesn’t know it’s in the game, and therefore won’t place any towers. It has to walk in by itself in order for it to work.
i gotta say, the least powerful gold skin must be either the gold crookboss or the gold minigunner, since gold mini is so weak, i cant kill fallen king with it
tldr at bottom. just to clear up some misunderstandings. although gmini has a lower dps per unit and is quite a bad option for multiple main dps towers loadout, gmini is still reliable in multiple ways. the competition is not as bad as what the video mentioned - it is actually better in cost/dps value than accel and because of place limit has more max dps but less dps per tower. so gmini actually can be on par with engineer. this means engineer is the 3rd best mid game tower in the game - 1st being gladiator and 2nd engineer. with commander, it will do more dps than engineers because of place limit. but engineer is definitely the best main dps tower most of the time thanks to its extremely cheap cost/dps value. gmini shouldnt be compared to ranger since it is a basically worser accelerator with more range, and although it can avoid stuns, it is way more expensive to upgrade while pursuit is almost a massive upgrade of ranger except for the range. the ranger also suffers the most damage reduction by defense in the game as every damage is rounded off. for dps comparison: (ranked by max dps per tower) engi: 359.71 max dps/tower 2158.26 max limit dps ㅤㅤㅤㅤ≈ 145.67 cost/dps value (cheapest here) accel: 173.61 avg dps/tower 1388.88 max limit dps ㅤㅤㅤㅤ≈ 276.48 cost/dps value (4th cheapest) pursuit: 169.78 dps/tower 1697.8 max limit dps ㅤㅤㅤㅤ≈ 265.34 cost/dps (3rd cheapest) ranger: 128.28 dps/tower 1282.8 max limit dps ㅤㅤㅤㅤ≈ 337.93 cost/dps (most expensive) gmini: 103.45 dps/tower ㅤㅤㅤㅤ20-40 towers → 2069 - 4138 max limit dps ㅤㅤㅤㅤ≈224.75 cost/dps (2nd cheapest) side note: splash dmg from engi's sentries and pursuit is low so its doesnt matter when calculated by the dps on a single enemy and turret isnt here for obvious reasons: ultra garbage cost/dps and 5 place limit and is very fat on placement footprint making it horrible. but use it if u have no alternatives like normal mini heres some loadout comparison for squad ranked in dps: (assumed to have commander chain w/o its dps - which is 6.56 - and have 3 slots taken by support towers meaning 20-3 commanders =17 placement limit) pursuit+engineer → 2631.59 + 2340.41 = 4972 dps Fallen King (FK) ttk ≈30.2s Molten Boss (MB) ttk≈14.1s pursuit+accel → 2631.59 + 2152.76 ≈ 4784.35 dps FK ttk ≈31.4s MB ttk ≈14.6s pursuit+ranger → 2631.59 + 1988.34 = 4619.93 dps FK ttk ≈32.5s MB ttk ≈15.2s engineer+accel → 2340.41 + 2152.76 = 4493.17 dps FK ttk ≈33.4s MB ttk ≈15.6s engineer+ranger → 2,340.41 + 1988.34 ≈ 4328.75 dps FK ttk ≈34.7s MB ttk ≈16.2s accel+ranger → 2152.76 + 1988.34 = 4141.1 dps FK ttk ≈36.2 MB ttk ≈16.9s engineer+gmini → 2,340.41 + 1763.82 ≈ 4104.23 dps FK ttk ≈36.5s MB ttk ≈17.0s pursuit+gmini → 2631.59 + 1122.43 = 3754.02 dps FK ttk ≈40.0s MB ttk≈18.6s accel+gmini → 2152.76 + 1443.13 = 3595.89 dps FK ttk ≈41.7s MB ttk ≈19.5s as we can see, gmini's dps relies heavily on the placement limit. in conclusion, gmini is easily the best tower in solo, and one of the best in duo and trios and decent in squad as it is 2nd best tower in midgame (although gladiator makes any tower in midgame near useless). but in the end it doesnt make too much difference as u can see in the boss time to kill and yes, i did the entire research and i kind of regretted halfway typing this. tldr; the lower dps every gmini has barely matters in casual/non-hc/non-event games and gmini is still good in many ways. and pursuit can be the highest dps tower in the game even after nerf. we just shouldnt start assuming things lastly, do not take my advice literally as the game is up to u to enjoy this is a recommendation/tip/guide about playing the game not a command or to order u
fun fact: accel is more expensive than ranger in 1:1 unit, but 8:10 now thats different, and beside who cares about math when there is ranger and accel on the field, screw gold mini, accel and ranger combo forever
also engi only having like 3 sentry (if i remember correctly) wont do as much as reworked accel, and persuit cant see hidden but still can hit them with splash
Ok now, golden scout is cheaper to place and upgrade plus only meant to be used as a tool while you farm, I would not recommend this in the late game because of it's terrible dps but it is certainly better than golden soldier as a starter tower. Golden soldier is also not much of a use in late game either since other towers could do a way better job at keeping a small price but at the same time keeping a high DPS, take gladiator as an example. So golden soldier is only meant to be used from wave 1 to around 16 with the only purpose of giving you time to farm, Golden scout is also an early game tower, and it can also solo from wave 1 to 16 at a cheaper cost. (Again, with the purpose of giving you time to farm.) It's a risk putting golden soldier in front of golden scout when it can get the same job done while having to spend less money and the same outcome in the late game. The only advantage soldier has is it's extra dps and ability to detect flying enemies, though how would that help in fallen and molten if you already have a high dps dealing tower? It can't be brought into hardcore anyway, it would get demolished. This is why I would rank golden scout in S tier and keep soldier in A. But yeah I guess I kind of agree with everything else you said except for golden crook boss, still bad. And Golden pyro isn't that overpowered, probably at the top of A class.
I would say golden soldier is solid air defense for early game on hardcore, while also providing hidden detection at the same time, meanwhile ace pilot only has flying so you have to bring another tower to deal with the hiddens. Soldier I feel is very good for hardcore right now because of that fact.
2:10 can you not use an event/gamepass tower to compare other towers, ik you say it's pros and cons, but think like that: a lot of people are gonna be free2play and won't have money to buy the gamepass.
while g crook has higher dps than g mini, and half the cost, you can only place 4 crook, and you can place as many g mini as needed, so g mini is technically still better than g crook (for mid to late game)
I think g mini are better on solo instead of playing with teammate like if you only spam g mini and you place 1 DJ and 3 commander you can place 36 G Mini which that around idk, 3700 PDS maybe (no commander) More proof it's accel only does around 1600 DPS and engineer only does 2100 DPS and well if you combine it, it does 3000 but getting max 5 engineer and 8 accel are nearly to impossible And that kinda close to 3700 DPS I prefer G Mini for solo Engineer/Accel for Duo/Trio/Quad
Tbh i kinda disagree with crook boss. Although its kinda expensive and have a small placement, its pretty good. It helped me a lot in pizza party to grind for golden crate. I do agree with it not being the best, but id put it in A tier
G Scout is cheap good for speedrun but not that good dps G pyro is good for a crowd control, defense melting and does rapid damage and cheap G soldier good dps has flight detection and have good used in hc G crook boss is have decent dps but not worth for 50k coins G mini is good in mid and late game cost 23k total upgrade and has 100 dps and doesnt have placement limit witch is op G cowboy decent dps and good money maker

I am extremely sad that they are rebalancing golden cowboy...I've been grinding for it as my last golden skincrate, but now I fear it might not be worth it anymore :( and it's all solo hardcore people fault >:(
Also CORSO, you had technically miscalculated some of the golden tower max dps, since sometimes the max dps can be up to 40 towers and not 20. It would have been better for you to consider the max dps at 40 towers so the viewers can see the full potential of golden towers.

Am I the only one that uses crook bosses as my defense? I just farm till wave like 4 then I place a crook boss and upgrade to level 3 to deal with boss and well kill molten boss or fallen with minigunner or just the main dps tower
Getting 20 g minis is almost impossible for a normal game without g cowboys and farms to generate the whole.e game and 20 costs almost double of 8 accels which does pretty much the same thing

ngl gold minigunner just sucks now. Its not as useful or versatile anymore. Accelerator has more dps, engineer has more dps, EVEN PURSUIT HAS MORE DPS. RANGER HAS MORE DPS, WARDEN HAS MORE DPS, TURRET HAS MORE DPS. Its just bad now.
As someone who is lvl 350+ and has all the golden skins this is how I'd rank them: 6. G mini. Don't get me wrong it's a great tower but it's not good for early def and there are towers with higher dps. 5. G soldier. Even with the buff the other 4 are better for early def while a lot of other towers have higher dps. 4. G crook. The placement limit speaks for itself. 3. G scout. It's an amazing tower for early def but the other 2 are simply better. 2. G pyro. An absolute killer for early def. The defense melting is awesome and the damage is good. It has splash damage and it's good in any gamemode especially HC. Even with the nerf it's still number 2. 1. G cow. Everything with this tower is great. Even with the nerf it still gives u a good amount of income.
I grind so hard until I have solider and pyro left my body is sweating and prey not to get soldier or else I will have to grind friking 12hours a day 2days in total.(money can't recover mental health problems)welp back to grinding almost got another g create(totally not mad hearing g cowboy gonna get nerf)
