@@wolfboy8667 there run differential is only bad because we haven't won a lot of games by a lot of runs and we had 3 games where we lost by 10+ in April
@@Chuck618 I’m just speaking facts look at their record and they have 4 Allstars Jose kwan Frye and naylor and you say what I’m on 😂😂😂😂 the only thing the guardians need is pitching
I think he’s still upset about trading for Lindor lol. But seriously Marc never gives Cleveland respect for whatever reason. Top 10 offense top 10 pitching and they’re somehow a tier 3 team, below the braves somehow
The Cardinals in bad? They have the second wild card spot and have been one of the best teams in the National League in over a month. At least switch them and the Cubs
@@DuneLover1472 what the absolute fuck do you mean bro they have been putting up solid hitting and their pitching has been lights out, so if your saying record doesn’t matter then what are the playoffs determined most of? Huh? Yeah, it’s record, not no 1-161 team is gonna make the playoffs, unless they go by what you’re saying “records aren’t everything” like what do you even mean? Records determine so much.
As a fan I can tell you they suck, in fact nearly all the NL central is bad, Brewers are mid. Cards will get better though after they get Noot and Contraras back and Walker is good enough to move up from AAA.
Nationals are so underrated. They are still rebuilding, have a bunch of top prospect outfielders coming in and they are already in wild card contention
Cardinals have the talent. If things can go their way enough they could easily make it in. They have been putting themselves in position to win nearly every game this year. They are also missing some good pieces that will get their line up to its optimal level. With the Cardinals it’s all about being clutch but can they be clutch enough. Goldy and Nado could pull an Albert Pujols lead us into the playoffs in the second half.
I've been way too familiar with seeing my team in the bottom tier list as an O's fan. Love the turn around we have had in the past 2-3 seasons. Go O's!
Can someone explain how the 5 game under .500 Chicago Cubs are on the same tier (or apparently even better according to this dude) than the 3 games over .500 Boston Red Sox who've won back to back series against the top 2 teams in baseball? This guy marc makes no sense!
As a Yankees fan, I loathe the red sox. But I have to go with you on this one. The AL East is easily the toughest division in MLB. So, being three games above .500 in THIS division is equivalent to being 10 over .500 anywhere else.
Obviously I've got 3 weeks of knowledge but I'm always here GNM being ridiculously confident about bad takes. STL = Bad / Texas = Postseason. Nothing personal but between him and Fuzzy I've never seen bigger haters in Baseball RU-vid 😂
As a Cardinals fan, we've done good despite our offense. Also a good chunk of the starting lineup has been injured basically all season. If they get back up to average they will be a ws contender. If they don't, then I think they have a wildcard chance for sure
Red Sox multiple games over .500 while absolutely decimated with injuries this year: meh you're ok. Astros 6 under .500 and playing like dog water with a bunch of underperformers: yeah you're a playoff team. What are we doing here? lol
Man why are my Marlins so bad? I have been a fan for damn near 20 years the only time that they've been relevant is when they won the title in 2003 when I was 4 years old.
Nice vid -- would like to see a repeat of this video maybe comparing how you feel around mid to late August --- but again thanks for giving us good content to watch
Marc I beg of you to actually look into the Cardinals stats. Your hate throughout your years is crazy... What sticks out is your take on the bullpen: it's ELITE. Helsley, Romero, Kittregde, Fernandez, King, and Liberatore have all been amazing; Kittredge is the only one with an ERA above 3.00 (3.27). The rotation is boring, but has been solid. Gibson has been great and Mikolas has figured it out with a 2.76 ERA (3.51 FIP) in the last 7 of his 15 starts. Once Nootbaar and Contreras - who was a top-5 hitter in all of baseball are healthy, this lineup can be great. Add the potential of Walker coming back up (160 wRC+ in his last half of AAA appearances), and it gets even scarier. I'm not saying they're a World Series contender, but they're definitively the 2nd best team in the division; they have the best record in the NL over the last month at 21-11. For that reason, they - at worst - belong in your "whatever" category with a placement in "postseason team" not farfetched. Genuinely curious as to why you don't delve into this team like you do others.
@@elephantisland695”worst fanbase?” Just gonna ignore the fact the Cardinals fans literally gave Paul Skenes a standing ovation when he got taken out of the game in a tied game in the 7th at Busch.
The fact guardians aren't elite or at least ws contenders instantly invalidates this whole list. They're one of the youngest teams and have the 3rd lowest salary cap in MLB. The fact the Orioles are put at elite and not the guardians is wild.
Honestly lot of mid-teams this year, I think nats, mets, cards could all be bumped up to ok tier. Tigers kind of blow though, they are bad. Also rangers and astros being under .500 should be considered
I'd take the Red Sox over the Astros and Rangers. Also St. Louis in bad? There currently in the playoffs dude. I would also move the Guardians up to World Series contenders, and take the Diamondbacks over the Reds and Padres
Not against your take but if you’re not the first WC it really doesn’t matter if you’re in it or not. Because basically every team in the NL is a playoff contender if you look at the WC standings
I feel like the Red Sox could very well sneak into the postseason. Casas coming back, hopefully better injury luck moving forward, and even just like a trade for Dejong and Fedde at the deadline fixes a few holes
This has got to be hard this time of the year, since about half of the NL is hovering right around .500. Season isn't gonna end that way, you have to use a lot of personal judgement to guess which teams are going to rise above and be the top mediocre teams.
Dude, the whole cardinal bullpen has been pretty good. Romero ,Leahy, libertore , and kittredge have been great. Gibson has been good in the rotation as well. Our offense has been the main problem, but we're getting Contreras, Nootbar, and Edman back soon.We do need another starter or two though.
@@maguire4428there’s a bunch of options too. Fedde, Crochet, Luzardo, Flaherty, and some others. I would like to see a reunion between the Cardinals and Flaherty.
I dont think the Jays are looking good (especially with Bo out for a fair few games with his injury) but I think as of late they've deff been good enough to at least get out of the "You're bad" tier. Split with the Orioles, took 2/3 from the guardians. It really depends if their hitting can start existing again, but the team looks to have life in the bats again with the new wave of buffalo guiys they've just brought up (Horwitz, Barger, Martinez)
As a dbacks fan, your ranking is completely fair. I personally believe that if everyone on the team is playing to their highest potential, we got a World Series contender team easy, but it hasn’t really seemed to have fully clicked this season. Definitely hoping things really get kicking off here to at least put it into the post season and just go from there
@@rogueelitecs1229that’s why at the deadline, the Cardinals NEED to go out and get a package of pitchers and hitters to improve their lineup and rotation.
As a Braves fan I just want to say we have not only lost ACUÑA but we also lost spencer strider and max fried Andre 2 best pitchers we also lost micchal harris are best fielder Matt Olson is just not doing it and Ozzie is going on and off the IR, Ngl Ozuna carried this team 😂😂 help us
I’m a lifelong Tigers fan and you have them probably where they should be. I’d make the argument that they should be placed slight above both the little bears and the sand snakes but definitely behind the bucs.
As a lifelong Mariners fan, this both warms my heart and fills it with so much anxiety. The annual dread for the drop in late summer is ever present even with this much of a lead. But here’s to hoping the bats will step up for our pitching! 🍻
As a padre fan this team is definitely in the whatever you're ok I guess, but have postseason upside. To sum up the season: play great, play awful, play great, play awful, beat good teams, lose to dogwater teams, stars suck, role players great. 8-14 against the marlins, angels, mets, blue jays, A's and rockies, yet have a 15-7 record against the dodgers, reds, royals, brewers and braves. Such a confusing team.
adding on.. if you wanna make the reds your hot take in having them as your “postseason team”, i’m gonna go ahead and say that the nationals could be a VERY, lowkey dark horse team to make the playoffs.
AL West guy here. Houston is done. Busted. You overrated them. Sorry. You got Texas 100% right. They are WAY-underperforming, and as a Mariners fan, Texas scares the doodoo out of me. Look out, cuz the Texas heat is just getting started. Thank you for the Seattle props there. The pitching is definitely the separator here - just so fun to watch. This offense has been crazy good as well, despite some obvious slumps that standout. Now Seattle has the burden of expectation upon them, which has historically been something they seem to not respond well to. So we'll see how it goes. Great tier list - fun video!
@@tomchidwick where do you want me to start? The only thing you got right is the fact the M’s will choke another playoff berth. You should know by now the Astros are inevitable.
@@khsbaseball16 Ah. Hahaha. Got it. Well, good luck with that. I'll say it again, HOU is done, recent series sweeps against other orange teams notwithstanding. 🙂
@@tomchidwick when your teams batting avg matches that of the White Sox, a division title isn’t attainable. Houston has been top 5 in most every hitting stat that matters for the entirety of the year, and our pitching is getting healthy… but ok
Arizona is 100% a WS contender. They will make the post season unless they completely implode, but there is too much talent on that roster. I could be wrong, but last season's success, I can't believe it was an anomaly. The Braves have too many major injuries to win the WS. They will probably make the playoffs, but we know how that has gone in recent years.
As a Royals fan it's insane to see us doing well again! any .500 season alone is a massive win for us though lol. bobby is the hero we needed but don't really deserve tbh lol
The cubs could be a postseason team. If their pitching and batting coaches help them and if they heat up like they did last year, they could make a wild card spot! And the reds are not a postseason team
