Lakers being at the top of the B tier is laughable and disrespectful to most of the other teams in that tier. People gotta stop with the Bron riding. It's over.
I mean they still got Lebron and AD. The suns barely squeezed past them for the 6 seed. I think its reasonable, they aren’t winning a chip but they are definitely above average
@@MrShuggadaddy above average is 42 wins. he put them in the damn near 50 win spot. the lakers picked up bronny james (g league) and knecht but other than that they have lost role players and hired a rookie coach
Agreed. This guy and most others are sleeping on the Spurs and the CP3 and Harrison Barnes signings. VW will prove them wrong in Year 2. Watch France in the Olympics and see the future Spurs.
Big props to the Nets for throwing in the towel and fully rebuilding, better to be trash and try and get a great pick then be mid. And considering this upcoming NBA draft has some top tier prospects, it’s a great decision
Actually best time to blow it up i forget who decided to blow it up the offseason wemby got drafted instead of the one before😂 i think it was the blazers
Why? Their players from best to worst 1. Ja 2. Bane or Jaren Jackson 3. Bane or Jaren Jackson 4. Marcus smart 5. Probably end up being Edey 6. Brandon clarke 7. Luke kennard -most efficient 3 point shooter in nba for many years. 8 Santi aldama- 7’ euro young dude that is a goood role player 9. Vince Williams- a second year monster of a 2 way player 10. GG Jackson youngest nba player tons of Kobe records 11. Laravia- 3rd year dude that broke out last 15 games last season 12. Konchar decent plug and play 13. Derrick rose can still play 14. Zaire -then the g league they have Scottie pippen jr that is killed it last season. Put teams 1 through 8 up against Memphis. There are not a lot that go that deep.
To be fair, Memphis won’t try to win the regular season again, they are going to play their new people a lot and settle for 6th or 7th. This isn’t going to be their year but they are close.
Hornets are C imo. You don’t like hornets do you? lol I actually think getting more draft picks and getting Josh green for free and re signing bridges was great for hornets
I really dont like the 2025 nuggets, they dont disserve S tier in my opinion they have lost now 2 amazing crucial role players from that championship year in bruce brown and now KCP for basically nothing in return. the team still has no center depth, they have one of the worst benches in the nba now that Christian braun is in the starting lineup. This team is only made up of 5 guys and no one else, like who is their 6th best player ? Peyton watson ? if Pwat is your best player off the bench then you have some issues. They also have injury prone guys in Jamal murray and MPJ. As we saw with Minnesota all it takes to beat the nuggets is a good front court because they have shooting struggles without kcp or brown. that means teams like okc with chet and even menphis with JJJ can beat down Jokic.
Yup. I couldn’t believe how awful the Nuggets were without Bruce brown against Minnesota now they just lost KCP for nothing. First round exit and borderline play in team I’m predicting
Nuggets are heavily hurt on the loss of KCP. Porter’s big ass contract takes up all their cap space to pay for players like KCP. Now they gotta start Braun most likely.
@@kdt35503 nah the blazer would be way to op if yall got Flagg, the NBA cannot let that happen with all the young talent on your team. You have a bright furture, Congrats.
F for Charlotte, they will probably be a 25 win team at the end of the year and tanking to try and get a good draft pick. Too bad of a roster and praying Lamelo carries that sad roster to the play-in is not a recipe for success. Tidjane is a project who plays the same position as Miller so it's not even like you have much help coming this year. At best Miller takes a leap to get better and Lamelo plays like an all-star and Charlotte becomes like a 35 win team. Not what I would consider a C team.
@@kdt35503 i mean yeah but that's last season, you had some injured players as well. Look at how deep the roster is this year already, new additions in Clingan, Avdija. Your roster is deep. I'm not saying there gonna be a playoff team or anything, but if they can progress these guys and get Ayton to play like a center should, I think you will be better faster than you think.
charlotte should be c tier same for the spurs, bucks should go down a spot due to their aging roster and losing brook lopez and lakers should go down to the c tier cause they didnt get any better and just got older and they lost some good roleplayers, suns are a play in team and should go down to c tier
@@mikeoclong5538 the spurs fixed two of their biggest weaknesses on their roster, which is the lack of playmaking/point guards and having depth and veteran presence (harrison barnes) and they have wemby coming into his 2nd year, and clippers arent even good anymore they lost paul george, charlotte is in the same tier as those western teams cause theyre gonna be a play in team jsut like the rest of those teams, theyre not better but they'll end up in the exact same situation
Spurs are at least a C tier team cuz they were actually doing pretty well late in the last season even with injuries to vassel and sochan, and they fixed their 2 biggest holes at the 1 and 5 spots. At minimum Bulls over spurs is crazy tho.
Agreed on the majority of these. Some changes I'd make z A- Minnesota Timberwolves (they should be S tier- they improved- Dillingham and Ingles > K. Anderson) A- Memphis Grizzlies (this is bold, but not ludicrous. I'd move them down to B- they need A LOT to go right to be alongside the other teams you've placed in the A tier) C- Houston Rockets (there's no way they belong in the same tier as the Hawks- they also improved by adding Sheppard and AJ Griffin, they didn't lose any big names) D- San Antonio Spurs (at a minimum, C tier, drafting Castle, signing CP3 for a year are great moves) D- Chicago Bulls (this team has arguably the worst direction in the league, F Tier)
The thing about the thunder, is that they basically fixed every problem that prevented them from winning this year, size, rebounding, experience, improving their offense and defense, while not giving up any picks. They are easily the best team, I wouldn’t be shocked if they go 70-12
Gotta love the regular Charlotte disrespect. Charlotte won 7 more games than Detroit and as many as Portland with their two best players in Mark Williams and LaMelo only playing a quarter of the season. A healthy Charlotte team is probably better than the Hawks and Rockets.
Portland was extremely injured as well. Their young core is unfortunately going to be too good to win the Cooper Flagg lottery, expecting a 28-32 win season out of them this year, barring injury of course. I also don't think the Blazers roster is complete right now, as they try to figure out how to navigate Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant, Rob Williams, DA trade opportunities. Blazers essentially have 4 centers signed in Timelord, DA, Clingan, and Duop Reath. Someone's got to go.
@@connergilley8 their perimeter defense is going to be so bad lmao they definitely did not get better. Klay ain’t that guy anymore. Losing djj is a HUGE loss.
@@connergilley8 he’s really not though. He can’t agitate players like sga like djj could. And Klay will probs be playing 30 minutes a night and yall will be wrecked during those minutes.
Lakers kind of getting the benefit of the doubt. They could very well miss the play in if AD or Lebron miss significant time. They are probably around the Golden State tier since Kings and Pels got significantly better and you can debate Suns or Lakers.
@@ajevans1422 the lakers best 2 players are better than any player from any team you just mentioned just to start. Kings added a dude that cant shoot 3's and is on the upper side of 35, not sure how much they makes them better. Suns have absolutely no bench depth and Beal is washed. Pelicans lol. Zion has played 1 season worth of games in the past 5 years brother. McCollum overrated asl and Ingram doesn't even want to be there lmfao. Just say you dont like the lakers or something haha.
@@drumxrDeRozan being 35 but averaged 24 points a game. There are only 6 games last year that he scored lower than 15 points. He also doesn't get injured. He's been in 96% of his games in his last 11 seasons. Also, for a guy that doesnt shoot 3s, he only scored 86 points less than Steph Curry.
@@drumxr lakers were a play in team with great health from AD and Bron. You can talk about the high end talent all you want but those teams you are talking about minus the Suns have depth, that is how you compete in today’s NBA. You can’t just say “oh we have Lebron and AD” when the rest of the roster is a microwave combo guard no team wants, a SoCal Kevin Huerter, and forward depth made out of other team’s failed projects. Lebron is going into his Kobe retirement tour phase while the rest of the league is going toward youth and depth. Dont take it from me; take it from every marquis free agent, coach or trade target the lakers were after.
Because while Dallas can beat Minnesota, they have worse odds of beating other Western teams. If this was ranked on direct matchups then sure, but if its ranked as title favourites, then id argue Minny has a much better shot of beating Boston than the Mavs do for example.
@@epicgamersvv1582 But Dallas just beat all the West teams (except Denver). I’ll admit OKC got a lot better. But Denver got worse, the Clippers got worse, and the Wolves stayed the same. So from my standpoint, the Mavs are better against other west teams than the Wolves are right now.
The Pacers are one of the deepest teams in the NBA. Their backup pg was cooking when Hali was out. Not to mention Mathurin will be healthy. Cavs are a weird mish mash of players lead by an injury prone volume scorer.
Orlando had a good offseason, doubled down on defence and added shooting, their young core will be a year better and you have them going from the 5 seed to the play in tournament... Make it make sense! They're in the Knicks/Sixers/Bucks category for me
"toronto was a good second half team" our all star player misses 22 games and we had so many injures and a player who is being criminally charged with a federal felony for trying to lose.
Why are the mavericks not even in the same tier as the thunder, they literally just beat them in the playoffs and the mavericks are only gonna get better thanks to Luka Doncic a proven performer
@@positivityman7385 i wont be surprised if they gonna be top 3 seed in the west if healthy but yeah okc is for sure better talent wise but for denver i dont think so because they just lost kcp that is a huge blow for them
My personal tier list ranking S: Celtics, twolves, okc, Knicks, nuggets A: mavs, bucks, 76ers, Pacers, Pelicans B: kings, cavs, magic, Grizzlies, Clippers C: heat, lakers, warriors, Rockets, raptors, D: hawks, spurs, jazz, bulls, Pistons F: Hornets, blazers, Nets, wizards I think I mightve missed a team. Also I tried putting an even amount of teams in each tier.
Agreed with most of this. The only thing that stands out to me as a disagreement is the Hornets. If they are healthy they will be decent. Lamelo Ball, Brandon Miller, Grant Williams, MIles Bridges, Mark Williams... and some bench pieces.
I''m a Raptors fan and I think Toronto is in the C category. They do still have a lot to prove with 3 or 4 new Rooks coming in and most likely losing Gary Trent but tonnes of potential with what they have. It can only get better from here, and now they've secured Barnes, Barrett and Quickley.
As a Jazz fan, if they somehow don't finish bottom 5 in the league with their current roster I'd be stunned and would want Will Hardy extended for 10 years. If they do trade Lauri then they could be looking at 15 wins for the year.
Charlotte should be in C. Lamelos health is still a concern but on paper barring injuries they’re at least a play in team especially in a weak eastern conference
Charlotte should be a D. What is your starting 5? Tre Mann, Lamelo Ball, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges and Nick Richards? With Grant Williams, Gordon Hayward and Tidjane Salaun off the bench? That's like a 25 win team unless Lamelo Ball can reach his all-star level again. Even if he does it's what a 35 win team? Then again it shouldn't be hard getting 10th in the east next year considering they should be ahead of Detroit, Wash, Brooklyn and Chicago.
@@GregRJohnson736starting 5 is Lamelo Ball Josh Green Brandon Miller Miles Bridges Mark Williams. W/ grant Williams, Tre Mann, Nick Richards off the bench lol
@@Dungbeetlestrikesback not in 24, and i def have played 2k, after loosing dejounte murray they are ass until like 2 yrs in they randomly become the first seed without trae
as a sixers fan who hates the celtics it annoys me that they’re always mid /low playoff team in the sim. Like the disrespect and lack of realism is crazy.
@@mikeoclong5538 Sarr couldn’t even start on a shrty Australian team in a not good league. He will be good defensively but his offense will prob be rough. He’s very overhyped and on a team that will flare his flaws. Idk how castle could turn out but he’s won on highest level and has a much better floor
Great list man. Only issue I have is I would give the respect to Dallas as a S tier team because they did just win the west a couple months ago and also beat OKC and Minnesota in that order. Not to mention added Klay Thompson. Great content keep it up
if the nuggets are s tier The bucks are s tier team the nuggets got way worse with the loss of kcp and reggie Jackson their bench sucks The bucks got better with Delon Wright and Prince
Yeah but the Bucks head coach alone puts their ceiling at A. Doc is one of the most overrated coaches of all-time and always finds a way to lose. He flat out sucks.
People often succumb to recency bias. How quickly they forget that they were literally a top 6 team in the east during the 2021-2022 season before the team got the injury bug and Miles Bridges decided to beat his wife.
You're sleeping on the Spurs. Watch France in the Olympics and you'll see they are a 6th seed in the West. AND, the Spurs have the Hawks UNPROTECTED #1 pick in a deep 2025 draft. Spurs will be "A" tier a year from now.
Idk. Spurs will benefit from tanking a bit more. They need more drafting. Also by 2027 most of the teams that are "win now" (Boston LA Dallas Denver Milwaukee Philly etc.) will be underwater
no way they are 6th in the west. they won 22 games last year. suns were 6th last year and had 49 wins, complete delusion if you think they will rise to 6th by next year
What did the Spurs do to you bro? Do you honestly think CHI is better than SAS right now? Thats a wild take lol CHI i would have as F tier and SAS in C
can someone explain how the clippers are going to be good next year. their top 3 scoring options are Leonard Harden Powell and if Loenard gets hurt they're a bottom 3 or 4 team in the west
The reason I keep Atlanta in C tier over a team like Toronto is i think Atlanta will absolutely go for it all season. Not having their pick they have no incentive to tank. Toronto may call a lid on the season after the trade deadline this year, and go for draft pick west is just insane. i think there are 12 teams in the west who would be playoff teams in the East, and at most 8 can go
I think your overestimating teams like the Warriors / Lakers. The Lakers should be a high C tier, same for the Warriors. The Rockets however, should be in B tier and the Raptors should be in C tier ( i think that they will be better than the Warriors ) + Minnesota & Denver & the Knicks should be in S tier ( all contenders )
The disrespectful shots at Raptors for no reason Matt? Damn. I mean the core we have now could mess around and be better than Atlanta with team chemistry and upside. I would’ve kept them in C tier.
Mavs last season: -Kyrie Lively THJ Green and Exum injured 1st half of season still won 50games -best post trade deadline record from 10th to 5th seed in just 1 month -top 5 defense post trade deadline record after acquiring Gafford and Washington and switching the starting lineup -beat 3 50+ win teams in Clippers OKC Wolves convincingly with just Luka and Kyrie having playoff experience in starting lineup Mavs this season: -traded THJ:Klay, DJJ:Marshall, Green: Grimes basically an upgrade in everything they wanted. They added length, defense, playmaking and shooting with the cost of -1 lobthreat in DJJ and still ranked lower to OKC and Wolves?
Honestly if Embiid and Maxey are healthy, and PG plays like the good PG, they will be competing with Boston for number 1 in the east, you gotta remember they were dominating last year before Embiid got hurt, and they had Tobias Harris.
Atlanta is to high. They should be in F or D tier. How do you get the number 1 overall pick and lose Dejounte Muarry but somehow get better??????? I don’t really see it
cavs are at least a tier, they’re better than the lakers and clippers by a bit. They haven’t really been able to stay healthy but they’re not their level
Sac swept the Lakers last year why the hell do have the Lakers so high In that B tier. Davis is hurt all the time and Austin Reeves is semi Decent Lebron is getting old. Doesn't make sense. Get the national media narrative.
I hope Toronto is as bad as you think as a fan that wants good draft picks. Unfortunately they probably have too much talent, they were pretty strong when actually healthy at the end of last season.
@vulcanraven9701 scottie was a 3rd year all star and still has lots of room for improvement, there are very few players you would rather max. Could be all-nba next season
