Tbh Blood moon was still a thing when urshifu was running around, that didn't stop it from winning regionals It's probably gonna be back once people find the right composition
here i thought i made some kind of "secret meta call" with P2 soft TR balance (feat. Clangorous Soul Kommo-o and Ursaluna) before baltimore lmao it's nice knowing i had a good idea at the time, considering how so many others did well with it, but... now i'll need to cook from scratch all over again lol
Magnezone has potential to pair extremely nicely with Dondozo teams. It's a sniper that can either work as a trapper of Steel types roaming around or it can go Analytic and destroy every Haze user and hard walls Amoonguss. Fun fact: Analytic Choice Specs Flash Cannon Magnezone does 101.9% MINIMUM to Sylveon. How many Pokémon can say they can OHKO a Sylveon on the special side?
I accidentally submitted my team with the wrong Tera on gastrodon for this upcoming competition. Woops. But fire Tera and fairy Tera gastrodon have carried a ridiculous number of games for me. I'm using a sun team, and bringing archaludon and gastrodon have won almost every time. The only issue I've had against rain has been an occasional ghost attack from basculegion
My heart broke when I realized my boy Hydreigon just doesnt fit that well in this format when considering the top tiers. Its only unique selling point is being the strongest Snarl mon which paired with AV is nice.
As Trick Room lover who's ranking is always between 1600 and 1750 in Showdown I must say that Blood Moon Ursaluna is the BEST trick room DPS in Gen 9, however ........ most players have no idea of what to pair it with other than Farigiraf. Blood-Moon Ursaluna is S+
I think scyther can be moved up to the niche tier due to one hitting 52th making day 2. Statwise it is good enough with a 110 attack stat and a highly valued 105 speed stat outpacing the likes of even garchomp and delphox able to throw out those technician dual wingbeats which is basically a 2 hitting brave bird and what was shown on stream with the two coverage moves of cc and technician thief, it has the options to hit the big steel types for some damage. Mons with a good flying stab option are very hard to come by as they are either weak statwise or rely on tera to gain a flying move so to have that mon with a strong flying move that can bypass sash while having a solid attack and speed stat can be worth looking into, whether you run it like vijay with the eviolite, or larp as a flying type urshifu with focus sash 252/252
Not that I’m good at vgc, but I did peak at rank 600 something on the ladder this season, and speaking of those “prove me wrong Pokémon”, so far using froslass as a support Pokémon worked surprisingly well for me on my rank 600 team. I’m curious if anyone else has found success with that mon!
252+ Atk Mold Breaker Haxorus Outrage vs. +2 252 HP / 4 Def Archaludon: 51-60 (25.8 - 30.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO What do you mean it OHKOs a +2 defense arch 😂
@@phenomenonnarutokun I just used the default one in the calc, but if it helps you feel better 252+ Atk Mold Breaker Haxorus Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Archaludon: 99-117 (60 - 70.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO it still stands that Outrage is NOT OHKO'ing an Archaludon unless you add in terastalization or other damage modification
