I had zero idea there was a whole quest to do the spirit temple. i was literally blindly going through the thunderhead isles and somehow ran into the room with the mask thing in it LOL. mineru gotta be my favorite sage ability to use by far

Water Side note: I wish that Floating Hyrule Castle had puzzles to reach the puppet Zelda’s instead of just being an enemy gauntlet. I also wish that the Hyrule Castle Chasm was the lead up to the final Ganon themed dungeon with puzzles.
I’m sorry but i feel like most of these stuff were ur mistakes? lol, like how do you climb death mountain instead of using the mine carts, how do you get the zora armor after you do most of the quest when Yona says to meet her in the infirmary right after you meet her, and there is multiple waves of gibdos but you just went and destroyed all hives right away, no hate tho lol
I think with immense freedom people's experiences are going to vary. How was I supposed to know zora armor would be required later? I climbed right up death mountain because I assumed it was the most direct path. And why wouldn't I just go right for hives? Just to artificially extend the sequence? We probably will see a lot of differing opinions in a game like this, not just on the content alone but how people decide to play it.
The only pre-dungeon quest I liked was Gerudo, but I also tend to like the desert areas in Zelda. Parts of the other quests were neat, like jumping on the airships, but the stories and characters were poorly executed so I didn't feel very engaged with what I was doing.
The music during the whole Wind Temple ascent as well as the dungeon boss really cements itself in the #1 spot for me. It’s kinda like how Hyrule Castle in BotW worked in that regard.
***SPOILERS REGARDING CONTENT IN THIS VIDEO*** For me, I didn't think there were any bad lead ups. The only thing that was bittersweet for me was not really knowing I was "in a dungeon" until the 'Spirit Temple' banner showed up. So once I entered the actual temple and went right to the boss, it kind of felt like a let down. But I realized after the fact that what I had just completed with the construct was the actual dungeon. I think it's something I'll enjoy a lot more the second time. As a whole though, these were all really good in my opinion. Once I see your actual dungeon ranking I'll have more to say.
My ranking: 5. Water. It was as you said just a bunch of running around and two mini dungeons, neither of which were very good. I also didn't like that we only had Sidon for like 5% of the quest. 4. Lightning. There's a huge gap between this and the Water one, but I can't put it any higher. I loved everything up until the reflecting light off the pillars part and I have to take some points off bc yea, I wanted Defend Gerudo Town to be longer. Riju was awesome all quest tho. 3. Fire. I actually took the mine carts up because I noticed Yunobo suggesting it. That made the ascent a lot of fun, and fighting through the Depths with Yunobo was even better. 2. Spirit. Honestly this and 3 are kinda interchangeable, but I'm giving a slight edge to this one bc of the mystery. I discovered Mineru third so I had no idea I was doing a dungeon quest until halfway through the Construct Factory. The intrigue really sells this one. 1. Wind. We all know it's the best. The music alone solidifies that lol. Pretty much everything you said in the video plus Tulin is awesome.
I loved Yanobo the heroine dealer!!🤣🤣 I'm telling you right now with all those Gorons hooked on red rock roast, once they took it all away from them, they'd have more problems then when they on the stuff. Withdrawals are no fun Sir. You have to get Hudson up there to build a rehab center.🤣🤣
I accidentally found the Construct Factory early while looking for the Lanayru Mine to fight Kohga again so now I know where it is and I'm disappointed that some of the mystery is gone when I eventually do the Spirit Temple :(
Honest to god that ascent through the sky islands in Hebra was one of the best moments in game for me. It was just so incredible! Also, I loved all the Pre-Spirit Temple stuff! Doing the ring ruins bit with Paya and Tauro was super cool, and honestly you hit the nail on the head with calling that bit in the Zonai ruins “Indiana Jones!” The Thunder Isles were cool but I was constantly annoyed by said thunder.
- I wish the imposter Zelda plot had been better integrated into the plot. - I actually enjoyed the Water Temple, but I think it would’ve made more sense as a “Sky Temple” something like that, with the low gravity and such. - the Spirit Temple/Construct Factory doesn’t blow me away, but it’s fits the mechanics of the game, and I like the places in the Depths that are actually interesting. - Fire Temple looks neat, but it’s just kinda boring to me. - Wind Temple… meh, but fun boss. - I like the puzzles and progression of Lightning Temple, but it looks like a$$ to me. and I usually like the dungeons that combine the ghost and/or zombie motif with another elemental motif, like the Earth Temple from _WW,_ or _Arbiter’s Grounds…_ but this one didn’t really do it for me. - …I miss _FOREST_ dungeons… they still haven’t been able to top the Forest Temple from _OOT._
My ranking would be: 1st: Lightning temple 2nd: Spirit temple 3rd: Wind temple 4th: Fire temple 5th: Water temple While my bottom 2 and 1st place were pretty clear, i found it a toss up between spirit and wind. Inevitably, i went with spirit due to the added complexity and length.
I really wouldn't put the Wind Temple leadup this high because literally all it has is that ascent. Still pretty great and I enjoyed it a lot but number 1 feels a bit off to me. I will admit though, the Wind Temple Skydive music might be the best track in this entire game.
The lighting temple quest is my favorite. The moment you arrive at the city and there is no signs of tall ladies, you know you are dealing with something special!
I thought the Wind, Lightning, and Spirit temple journeys were perfect. I was also underwhelmed by both the Fire and Water Temple quests. Here are some ideas I thought of that could make the quests more interesting: -Instead of Marbled Rock Roast, what if Death Mountain was spewing out Gloom and covering most of the Eldin region with it? Also, part of the ascent to the top of Death Mountain on the mine cart to fight Moragia could take you inside the mountain. -What if a sludge hurricane shrouded Zora’s Domain in darkness and sludge rain? If Nintendo wanted to have the Water Temple in the sky, then it would’ve been cool if it rose from the Lanaryu Sea.
