Today I'll be ranking all the secondary gadgets in rainbow six siege. Hopefully you guys enjoy the video! #r6 #rainbowsixsiege #tierlist ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Twitter: / beastmodplayer My Shorts Channel: / @beastmod2 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I think prox alarms are a little better then you give them credit for, should be in C imo. The reason you gave was valid, but they sound MUCH louder than barbed wire and are useful when you are not guarding a certain area but would want know where they are coming from, like elas girzmot mines.
@@Jayzonny Yeah but that’s a whole op and possible loss of utility, claymores are on a lot of good op’s with good utility and still get the job done. You can shit down flanks, and if it does get shot out or something you will hear it and have intel off of that
Honestly I get about 1 kill every 5 rounds when I use Claymores. They are great if you know how to place them. And flashbangs for example do like nothing, at least it feels like that.
@@drewferguson4787 well you’ll stun the opponent and if you kill them it’ll say “flashbang bonus” so it lets you know you stunned them before making the kill
The entire Tier list right here only makes sense if there's a coordinated team on either side that plays out their part perfectly. People mostly don't look out for claymore's or use their utility to clear them and people tend to panic when running into prox alarms. Also according to the games Designer's Notes Y7S4.2 Jäger is the most picked defense operator for Y7S4 with Wamai being in a decent spot for pickrates himself aswell which makes your whole argument against smoke grenades redundant. Hard Breach charges are a lot more useful, because in uncoordinated teams (like there usually are in solo queue) you can most likely never rely on your hard breacher and it's better to have secondary hard breaching options than bringing any more of the other attacking secondary gadget options. All in all though you can't properly rank these, because Siege doesn't have a formula for what works best every time. Every game is different with different people each time so some things might work better than others. The only secondary gadgets I'd exclude from that statement are C4's, deployable shields and the impact EMP's for the reasons you already named.
I disagree with the placement of proximity alarms like most of the comments. It is the only gadget I think which shows a notification when people trigger it (ie the "+10 Proximity Alarm Triggered") which is broken if you think about it. You can literally hold an angle on the other side of the map while being notified if the other team is on the other side of the map, it is underrated af and I think I find it most useful on cav where she requires a lot of rat plays or just pure rushing for her to be efficient, so just gaining a slight amount of idea where the enemies are without making a noise by checking the camera is a huge advantage that could easily turn the match around (note this is only applicable in solo que, with a team you might as well bring the impacts and rely on your team for info) Bonus: Like many other comments said, large noise = hiding your own footsteps and movement, only counter for prox alarm is a shot or an explosive and now with the reload changes it is more useful as they would immediately reload after that shot, giving you an opportunity and I don't think people are dumb enough to use explosives, the only thing that can counter nokk besides a jammer, and now with brava, they literally have no reason to hack proximity alarms as she might as well as go for kapkan or maestro so I rarely see a kludge drone being useful against proximity alarm. I would put proximity alarms in like high b tier or low a tier.
Yeah, exactly my point. Especially when you have multiple teammates running them. Two people running them, if placed properly can cover great detailed callouts of 4 points on entry on the map, with almost exact locations as you will have to decipher by sound a little. Vs barbed wire the sound can easily be masked and don’t alert you.
Proximity alarms: Clear info heard even during intense gunfights, can be used to distract enemies. Barbed wire: Info that might be overheard during gunfights, slows enemy down a lot, Can be a double edged blade due to the enemies hearing when you or your team run through the wire. Normal Fella: They both have their strength, but due to the current meta slowing down might be a little tiny bit better on avg. This Guy: "...the barbed wire is *MILES BETTER* than the proximity alarm"
his takes arent as bad as some of the more prominent creators lol. ive seen gregor, pengu, athieno, pox, foxa, etc. make far far worse takes. imo beast's are actually fairly good most of the time with a few outliers
Prox alarms are literally A or B tier wth?? It „only“ tells you where the enemy is coming from. You can place down two free callouts anywhere on the map as a defender and the fact that it doesn‘t slow em down is a problem, who cares?! Info is king.
Flashbang can create sound to cover your movements. Prox alarms are great counters to lurkers, especially Nokk who is one of the best lurker/ frag role in this meta. You missed so many details you didn’t dive into
@@marcosgarcia8544 but claymores just existing always make defenders have to second guess themselves whenever going for something risky which I think makes them very good The fact that they can make some sort of impact not even being in the round is huge
I love the deployable shield because of how stupid you could sometimes be with it. You can essentially be a terrible shield operator if you just hold one and crouch spam around everywhere. It has saved me a few times.
you can also put them sideways in front of doorways (not _in_ doorways, there's a difference)to create a vault only entrance. assuming the other team is braindead and doesnt have a counter for it but offers really easy picks once they vault straight onto your crosshairs. (
@@wkhdt yeah putting shields in doorways is awful 99% of the time because yes attackers must vault it but defenders have to vault them too. its a double edged sword. placing a shield in a spot like pixel on kafe allows you to play off it but also offers the same benefits as a door shield (attackers must vault it or clear it to safely get through)
@@rhoclouds no no i meant like something else. imagine where you have to be in order to place a shield in a doorway. now step out of that door and turn 90 degrees and place the shield. ill edit this comment and link a vid if i find one
Prox alarms are one of my favorite secondary gadgets. They allow me to alter my strategy and possibly get free kills when the attacker moves their crosshair to destroy it. I noticed this works especially well on oryx
Whoever thinks proximity alarms are D tier in an information based game is straight up smoking crack. Yeah sure they don't slow you down but prox alarms are 1. Louder than barbed wire and 2. More versatile. Tell me in what planet can you place barbed wire on the ceiling, wall, in a shelf of a desk, inside of a plant, etc etc etc. You can be super creative with prox alarms and make them a pain to get rid of or expect. Barbed wire can only be placed on the ground or on top of certain surfaces.
i think shields are 100% the best just because they offer guaranteed value: attackers need to destroy them to push certain spots. id personally swap impacts and bulletproof; bulletproofs require attackers to drain utility and can offer vital information if left up. they can also be hidden in places like bank lobby and basically be an extra camera that can emp utility and remain up the entire round (even in pro league tsm had a bpc that stayed up the entire round and fed them huge info); super underrated
Video idea you should do who is the best trap operator I know there’s many but maybe you could divide it by lethal traps and more intel based trap just to separate ops like kapkan and ela
Swamp Clay and Barb. Barb and Prox are the same Gadget with different a tweak, while the Claymore can enable you on some windows or stairs. They even can win a lost game by time to get on the Defuser or by a defender who stoped thinking after the last gunfight. Edit: Also a Contact Nade for a Clay is considers a worth trade by most players, so the should be worth equal.
no, stuns allow you to clear more utility (jager ads, wamai magnets, aruni gates) and can get you free kills. smokes have a lower chance of working because cutting off line of sight isnt always going to even do anything and smoke plants are out of meta and useless in comp. impacts are only good for impact tricking which makes them very situational
You can use proximity alarms for nitro cells and other gadgets as well as having a way to swing without making sound, if you are being in an obvious spot you can always just wait and be ready, its better than a lot of gadgets
Claymores are underrated as fuck. If used properly it’s so much harder to get rid of. If they don’t see it then it’s a kill. If they see it but can’t shoot it without getting in its range, you’ve blocked off a flank
I can’t speak for diamond or champ lobbies but in emerald or lower I find claymores are extremely effective, lower ranked players don’t look out for them as much. Placing them on common flank positions and in run outs gets me 2-3 kills every single game. If u know where to place them they’re a great gadget
Even tho when defenders destroy claymore you get a call out. So claymores are very good and easy method to not stare one door full round. I have about 4000h on r6 and in my personal opinion claymores should be higher. Shield is the best one tho.
You said there are no counters to nitro cells, but that's not necessarily true. Its not perfect, but something I used to do for my squad when smoke planting was save a thatcher EMP to throw at the teammate planting, for any possible C4 throws at them as well. It disables them for long enough to finish planting and make a quick escape. I haven't tried with EMP impacts, but i assume they can accomplish something similar if timed correctly
I do a lot of claymore kills. For example theough drone holes that are untypical. Or even the rotation between the bombsides, if they are slightly levered and you wanna plant, i place the right there. You cant see the laser, also it slows defensers down cause mostly they have to shoot it, not wverey operator has contact grenades and I use claymores mostly one in the beginning against run outs and one in the late game were no one expect it or doest have the contacts anymore. I would give it and A at least.
Which rank are you to get kills with claymores? Or any utility out of them. I have never seen someone in plat, emerald or diamond to die against it so far.
I just use Proxy alarms to annoy the hell out of the enemy and try to convince my team to all run proxy alarms to just put it in one spot or area just to bully there ears if they decide to push trough that way. "Lets push here guys." What they hear the coming 30 seconds: *BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*
Claymores Prox alarms and smokes severely underrated BP cam underrated The Gonne and impact emps overrated tbh Also impacts are overrated, but not because of their uses, but because of how people use them If you’re not impact tricking or roaming, I’d always bring something else Anchors don’t really get that much use out of them, and could bring a shotgun with barbed wire bp cam or prox alarms to help set up site
The skin is the Soniqs esports skin that you can buy in the shop. As for the attachment skin, it is the search and rescue attachment skins. Unfortunately you cant buy the attachment skin anymore it was in the north star battle pass
@@BMP thx a lot for the time you took to awnser me and a huge thanks for the time and love you put to make your videos. Hope you'll have the visiblity you deserve
All of these takes are mid, proximity alarms are WAY better than barbed wire. First of there small and throwable so they can stick to top of walls of staircases. Second the attackers won’t know there their if you use them properly allowing for easy detection if you will. Meanwhile barbed wire does none of that it only slows you down💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I feel like proximity alarms are being done super dirty here. I'd easily take it over claymore and likely soft breaches depending on the map / op I'm playing
