The Maggie shorts are always the best ones. She is one of my favorite characters.

It’s kind of crazy that February (maybe March) 2025 will match the time since the movie as The Simpsons’s premiere to the Movie

My personal favourite was The Good, the Bad and the Loki. It was fun to have Tom Hiddleston in a short and I did laugh at Lisa’s line, “Goodbye Self Esteem Issues! HA!”

The Simpsons/Marvel Disney+ Short pretty much parodying the Loki Series in 2021, also where Lisa transformed into Thor out of nowhere after touching his hammer, and Bart and Loki changing bodies I believe was so weirdly unique and cool. Not to mention, everybody else as the Marvel Superheroes from Springfield lol. That Simpsons Disney+ short is my favourite, easily also as a Marvel fan alongside The Simpsons.

I've never clicked on a video so fast. I was gutted at the start of this weekend because Gladiators wasn't on BBC One on Saturday, but 2 new videos from you cheered me right up! You're awesome! But I'm sure you know you're awesome already.

A year after the Longest Daycare, there was a Simpsons couch gag with Matt Groening and The Simpsons sitting Comic Con and Comic Book Guy asks if there will be another and everybody but Maggie leaves implying that Maggie might have another shot at the big screen and she did with Playdate with Destiny. It's fitting that Maggie had her own theatrical shorts since she have that big of a role in the movie. Yes, she was one that discovered that the sink hole in the sandbox was the way to get out of the dome. And she was the one that defeated Russ Cargill but that's about it

In the past, the Simpsons mocking disney, today Disney mock the Simpsons fans. Ok, some of those shorts are nice.

I just love her videos, she talks in a great way, the topics are interesting as well as being the Simpsons which is one of the best tv shows ever and it is edited very nicely, just something about these videos are amazing, keep up the great work and everyone who reads this, have a great month sincerely

I feel like Disney using the Simpsons for these ads isn’t THAT out of character for what the show has done in the past.. I mean for the entire decade of the 90s Bart was basically whoring himself out for butterfingers

The one thing I’ll give to the Bad Bunny music video with Homer is that it has the Latin America voice actor as the main dub which is really dope

Otherwise, I agree with your list Lydia except for I would give when Billie met Lisa another star just because it’s Billie. Adore her so much, and I literally screamed when I saw that she was going to be in a short! I just wish like you that it had been better! I hope she decides to become a guest star on a full episode one day to make up for it! To answer your question though, it was made because Billie’s album Happier Than Ever has a concert film on Disney+ that they were releasing the same day; so I think it was there to try and draw in an audience that might not have known about it being there, but like her.

They have that Maggie one at daycare at the Simpsons store in Myrtle Beach. In 3D! It’s very cool

It's a shame really, as my initial feeling was this was a good way to keep The Simpsons on board once the series ends. And while I agree the Disney tie-ins are a bit icky (but also kind of inevitable) the Andrea Bocelli one is a bit random. Matt Groening asking to have his credit removed due to The Critic crossover seems kind of quaint now.

Didn't care for "Welcome to the Club" as I've had people try to massage my ego telling me "I shouldn't want the princess roles". I don't think they understood how much I got bullied over my looks and how I didn't want to get stuck playing the same roles. Look, it can be fun being the bad guy, but it gets old wfter a while.

I feel like we don't get many episodes about Maggie, and the writers are doing all of this to make it up.

Remember classic Simpsons, how they'd always RIDICULE famous people? Now celebrities show up just to get praised and worshipped. I think your use of "icky" perfectly sums these shorts up. I also haaaate what they've done to Lisa Simpson's character. For everything we know about Lisa and what she stands for, it feels gross and wrong to make her be the one to celebrate the giant soulless corporate behemoth.

The reason they used Lisa to sell Disney+ was exactly because she was the last character on Simpsons to sell out.

The Good the Bad and the Loki has like one actual joke in the sign held during the team up, but as it really made me laugh, it does get a pass from me.

That's not what Maggie ment Disney we wanted another Feature Length one maybe about them running away from CIA Agent Stan Smith ( American Dad ) because Bart and Homer and Maggie almost killed Al Gore in the first Movie hint hint. Respect and keep up the epic work.

The Simpsons shorts with Disney should be more like Treehouse of Horrors, a non canon Disney/Simpsons crossover that's 22 minutes long so it could tell an actual story.

All Mickey Mouse shorts had sound (well, Plane Crazy and Gallopin Gaucho were made as silent shorts with sound added for release after Steamboat Willie).

For a visual joke comic book guy being quick Silver and Thanos out of any of the marvel characters is probably the funniest joke visually from the marvel short

That blue butterfly from the Maggie shorts could also give way to a possible Simpsons/Bluey animated short. Bluey also has a blue butterfly that comes & go throughout the series.

The Balenciaga short, however... is how to do an ad right. If it was an act in a trilogy episode, it would likely be the best trilogy episode besides some of the Treehouse Of Horror ones. Smithers wearing the dress is one of my favourite moments for him ever.

Dear Lydia, I agree with you. Maggie is my second favourite Simpson, right behind Homer, and I love it when any project puts her front and center. Also, I read your book, Collecting the Simpsons and I thought it was awesome! I’m a writer myself and I know it’s not always easy.

The Longest Daycare is probably my favourite, and I quite like the idea of the Star Wars one. Maggie is definitely a good character to use for short films.

I'm glad that the Disney meddling is limited to these shorts. That is my silver lining.

I have yet to see the last two released. This is actually the first time I heard of the Feliz Navidad one and I could tell I would hate it since episodes like "The Musk Who Fell to Earth" and "Lisa Goes Gaga" are some of my least favorite episodes since it's more of a tribute than a Simpsons episode since they get non-stop praise. The Longest Daycare I remember seeing that in theaters and it's definitely a great experience. It's hard to pick a favorite since none of them were spectacular in particular in my opinion. I know I hated the Loki one and the one with the Disney villains the most.

Yeah the old Tom and Jerry episodes where they made sure they had the stereotypical heavyweight black maid. And Tom talked in a black voice pining over a milky white cat.

My worse Simpsons Disney Short is "The Simpsons, Bad Bunny - Te Deseo Lo Mejor". I not understand the plot and Latin American Spanish language.

Disney villains one just pissed me off. Hook with Kevin Micheal Richardson’s voice, Cruella launching fireballs out of her hands for some reason, Kaa who sounds nothing like Kaa, and credits rolling over theoretical scenarios that are much funnier and more creative than anything in the shorts. Despite a complete flop of 2023, both Simpsons and Disney have legit talented creators. Do better guys, goddam.

In the past so many roles that guest stars voiced could have been played by anyone based on how they were written but almost all now are taylor written for the star. And they’re usually crap parts too.

The Simpsons did returned to the big screen 📺 on July 13, 2012 with the short The Longest Daycare and was shown before Ice Age: Continental Drift on that day

These shorts made me mad, cuz Phineas and Ferb and Family Guy got to do full-on hour long Star Wars themed specials (and in P+F's case, even Marvel) and they all slapped. I remember seeing ads for the Simpsons Marvel crossover, thinking we were in for something similar, but it was too short to even BE entertaining. Herman as Captain America was funny, though, they get a point for that one.

The Simpsons shorts are the perfect vehicle for quick stories involving the encyclopaedia of side characters. There’s enough characters there to pump out a handful of shorts each year, rather than the cross-promotional nonsense they’re used for now.

I think you should update this video since another Simpsons short happened AFTER this video was posted that involves with Mothers Day with various mothers from both Disney, Pixar and Star Was plus with other Fox animation characters made appearances at the end of the short.

My favorite was The Longest Daycare because that was the only one that wasn't in your face with Disney. Before Disney Simpsons was a real thing , it was a fake thing. And by the way, have you seen Disney's Once Upon a Studio

I enjoyed then when they focused on Maggie as she usually gets some of the best stories but rarely gets focused on, but then they just became about boring Lisa again just like in the main show

I was fine with the Billie Eilish and Bocellis shorts since they're basically glorified music videos and didn't aspire to be more than that. All the other Disney+ shorts however were way TOO short to really do anything with their narratives outside of being reference-athons. "Welcome to the Club" was especially painful because it had a very fun premise with some funny Disney-related jokes, and had it been a full-length episode or even a Treehouse of Horror-length segment it could've been something really special. But at just 3 minutes it stops right before it gets good. Also, can I just say that the most bottom-of-the-barrel joke they do repeatedly in these things is to have a character hold up a sign with a (bad) fourth wall-breaking joke on it? (There's one example at 7:57.) Like Jesus, that's just plain lazy. Honestly the most annoying thing about these shorts is that people who haven't watched the show in years only watched these and saw them as continued evidence of "The Simpsons' downfall" or "selling out" when the new episodes of the ACTUAL SHOW were getting really good!
