One of my best experiences in AK (although my head did hurt afterward) was riding Expedition Everest with my younger brother 10 times in a row. The park was quiet after a rainstorm, and one of the cast members counted and made us custom buttons to pin on our shirts. The “I conquered Everest 10 times” button will be one of my best memories forever from Disney World!
Ooh, I can explain the Disco Yeti thing in more detail. The Yeti is one of the most advanced animatronics they've ever made, but it's also the heaviest. They found out after running the ride for a short while that it's so heavy and moves so much it's literally tearing the structure apart, so they had to turn off most of the functions. In order to fix it, they'd have to actually tear the entire ride down to get to it, so they just leave it turned off and use the strobe instead.
Finally The Ride Ranking Series is finally complete! And now I hope you guys do a “Ranking Every Show” Or maybe a “Ranking Every Experience/Tour!” Perhaps even a guide to the water parks? Love you guys!
If you notice, there are meteors flying around the triceratops. I think the idea is that these meteors are what is making the triceratops "spin", or be launched into the air before going extinct.
Animal kingdom should add a section for the americas! Bears, moose, sloth, big cats! And alpaca, tortoises, and herps for kids to engage with closely! It could be really cool and feature local wildlife; and talk about conservation easily.
I’m not a huge coaster fan at all but I LOVE Everest Also I think in the summer time Kali River Rapids should be a 8.5/10 - that sweet sweet cold water relief is HUGE
Oh hey, Dinoasaur, the ride that gave me so much trauma as a 7 year old and I literally couldn't go on it without an anxiety attack until almost 15 years later
I had no idea that the Affection Section was so relaxing and addictive. Safari is also so great! Love to chill in Animal Kingdom where you don’t have to feel rushed. Such awesome theming everywhere. The Caribbean entertainers near Flame Tree are great and the Tam Tam drummers of Harambe are always a stop on my list. Animals are so fun to see.
My dream is for them to make a ride that mimics the scene from Encanto when Antonio opens his door and his jaguar runs and climbs around his room. Cmon who wouldn't want to ride that?!
When I first rode dinosaur, I had also just ridden all the other big rides including Everest for the first time ever. So by the time I got on dinosaur I was like “oh that ride was so easy and not scary at all” 2 years later I came back to Disney w my whole fam and told my parents it was okay for my 4 year old sister to ride bc it was so easy. Well she sat there petrified and I was wrong. The worst part tho is that a cast member even told my mom it’d be okay for her to ride. Meanwhile, kids were coming off screaming & crying left and right lol
I know, my brother and I both have motion sickness and my other brother is afraid of heights I had to convince them both to go on Dinosaur (among other rides-_-)
Flight of passage is the best ride in everywhere. I don’t agree 9/10 . It should be 100/10. This ride give you amazing world to enjoy. So many people take hours to wait in the line, it’s totally worth.
Here ya go so that way you know what one is witch easily! DinoLand U.S.A (1:30-5:41) 1. Triceratops Spin (4/10) (Great for little kids who like dino's) 2. Dinosaur (7/10) (Great for people who want an intense ride (thrill seekers) Pandora: World of Avatar (5:53-11:49) 1. Na'vi River Journey (7/10) (Great for people who L.O.V.E Avatar and like dark rides) 2. Avatar Flight of Passage (9/10) (Great for people who need to escape) Asia (11:50-17:51) 1. Kali River Rapids (6/10) (Best for people who love family raft rides and like getting soaking wet) 2. Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain (9/10) (Great for those thrill seekers) Africa (17:52-21:48) 1. Kilimanjaro Safaris (8/10) (Is best for people who love to see different animals and people who need to relax) 2. Wildlife Express Train (7/10) (For parents who's kid is interested in animals)
My ranking: #1 FOP best ride in AK #2 Everest #3 Dinosaur #4 Kilimanjaro Safaris #5 Kali Rapids #6 Navi River #7 Wildlife Express Train #8 Triceratops Spin.
@@violetanderson8106 omg literally same. FOP is my absolute favorite. Im pretty sure I shed a tear or two the first time I rode it. I also LOVE Everest!
I went on Dinosaur with my brother-in-law back in 2010 while the moms and little kids went to watch Nemo and it blew our socks off. We ran down to Everest, single ridered it, then had enough time to come back to Dinosaur again. The second time, there was a dad with a boy that couldn't have been over 6yo. We laughed knowing that they had no idea what it was but we decided to pump him up and give him high fives telling him how cool it is. At the end, he was practically white as a ghost and had a death grip on the bar in front of his seat. We cheered and gave him high fives telling him how brave he was and how cool the dinosaurs were. I'd like to think that was a formative event that forever changed how he viewed "scary" situations. Who knows, but BIL and I still smile about that experience to this day.
Big BIG con for the train to Rafiki's planet watch! If the train breaks down you are STUCK with nothing else to do! We were stuck there for 1hr waiting on the train to return
My list 8) Triceratops Spin. Nothing wrong with it inherently, just underwhelming for Disney. 7) Train Ride. It needs more going on. 6) Dinosaur. It's like they wanted a cross between Indiana Jones Adventure and Jurassic Park River Adventure but wanted it to be inferior to both and too loud and clunky. That said, I do appreciate that it's an original attraction that was only sort of IP based. But I just don't think that they stuck the landing. 5) Kali River Rapids. Fun but I think this needed a more dynamic environment. Maybe add some animatronics or a short indoor scene. Ultimately, it's a normal family rapid ride with a nice setting. 4) Navi River Journey. I'll be honest, I really like this. It isn't as story driven but the atmosphere is really amazing. I know the queue is boring but I think the ride itself is great. 3) Flight of Passage. Yes it's amazing. Yes it takes your breath away. Yes it's thrilling. But it is not the best attraction at DAK and certainly not at WDW. The queue is amazing (when you're in the main queue area.) But screen based attractions are always limited by the fact that you aren't physically immersed and can't take in everything happening around. Plus even the best 3D will never register in your brain as being reality. This is definitely the best simulator dark ride but it is held back specifically because it is a simulator dark ride. 2) Expedition Everest. It's just fantastic. Almost everything is perfect here. I only wish there was a workable way to fix Disco Yeti. 1) Kilamanjaro Safari. I love the animal exhibits at DAK but this ride is on another level. The landscaping is world class. The exhibits look phenomenal. The animals are impressive and beautiful. And it serves perfectly as a thesis statement for the park.
My ranking: #1 FOP best ride in AK #2 Everest #3 Dinosaur #4 Kilimanjaro Safaris #5 Kali Rapids #6 Navi River #7 Wildlife Express Train #8 Triceratops Spin.
Na'vi River Journey was really nice. We rode it last on the first night of our family trip and it was so beautiful. I hate Avatar but I started to tear up.
Ranking Low to High Triceratop Spin - It’s a kiddie ride. Not for me. Naavi River Ride - to me a less impressive Jungle Cruise. Kali River Rapid - I can’t really comment as much because it is usually not operational. But yeah, it is a river rapid ride. Keep your electronics in ziplocks and wear leggings or wuick dry pants and shoes. Wild Life Express Train - You may possibly get a sneak peak of animals. If you are into behind the scenes or animals? This is educational. Dinosaur - So much fun and scary Kilimanjaro Safari - Try to get an edge seat and pick the morning or post 5 pm. Expedition Everest - Too much fun Flight of Passage - Absolutely fantastic, but I have noticed weird wonkiness
My ranking: #1 FOP best ride in AK #2 Everest #3 Dinosaur #4 Kilimanjaro Safaris #5 Kali Rapids #6 Navi River #7 Wildlife Express Train #8 Triceratops Spin.
I wouldn't even give Naavi River Journey the Jungle Cruise comparison. Jungle Cruise has an abundance of working animatronics and live narration from a cruise guide throughout the ride. Naavi is literally just a bunch of videos playing on screens around every corner until you get to the one cool animatronic at the end. Very disappointing. Would have been cool if it was more like Jungle Cruise with more animatronics and some form of narration describing the areas you are sailing through and the wildlife living there.
My ride ranking for DAK: 8. Kali River Rapids, I don't ride this. 7. Triceratop Spin, it's just a generic spinner but dinosaurs 6. Train to Rafiki's, the Animation experience they take you to is fun but the ride itself is just a train with a few educational narrations. Cool behind the scenes tho, and I agree, I think people often miss this 5. Navi River Journey, the scenes are so amazing but there are better rides 4. DINOSAUR, Disney did well with this "scary-ish" angle on their dark vehicle rides 3. Kilimanjaro Safaris, the animals are super active if you go 1st thing so time your ride well 2. Expedition Everest, so thrilling, such a classic, and honestly pretty easy to get on when I was there (are people really underrating this lately?) 1. Flight of Passage, best ride in the entirety of WDW for me!!! The feeling of flying and the scenics are absolutely breathtaking 💖 I agree with getting in line at night, people underrate DAK so the lowest wait times are at night 😊
I remember when I was 8 I rode the Everest ride and I was so scared because I didn’t realise it went backwards. Still haven’t been on it to this day but I think I will next time I go
I was stunned at how much I loved Flight of Passage for not caring much about the movie. Word of caution though - if you're on the large side, make sure you fit in the restraints... I'm over 250 lbs and the problem wasn't my stomach, which is squishy and moves easily out of the way, but my calves, which are strong and stiff and nearly kept me from fastening into the bike! I had to lift my feet up so that the restraint fastened around a lower, thinner part of my calf in order for it to fit well enough.
Also I have motion sickness AND A very giant big fear of heights but since I knew it was Vr and could still see the bike and the people around you so I instead enjoyed it!!!
I'm still a Disney fan, but I'm a dinosaur lover first and foremost, so DinoLand is and always will be my number 1 land. I even have all the toy dinosaurs, even though they're kinda worn. The only change I'd ask for is to make some of the Triceratops different colors (i.e. one blue, one orange/yellow,, etc)
I get annoyed when people say Animal Kingdom is a half day park. If you don’t just ride the rides and actually go look at the animals, it’s easily a full day experience.
Agreed! Between Festival of the Lion King, It’s Tough to Be a Bug, Finding Nemo, the Feathered Friends in Flight, the two animal trails, a drink at Nomad Lounge and a spiked Dole Whip, you’ve spent the whole day in Animal Kingdom bliss! But don’t tell anyone, this can be our little secret!
@@csharrison2011We hit all the shows, trails and rides and still had a massive amount of time on our hands afterward, so we ended up riding multiple rides two or three times to fill the rest of the day out after all the animal attractions closed at 4:30. We all agreed that this park could use just about two more good rides to make it complete.
when i went to animal kingdom on June 19th the train for Rafiki's planet watch broke down and they had to initiate an emergency walking path and we had to walk the blacktop backstage all the back to the park
We went on the rapids ride when my sister and I were young and my parents woke her up from a nap to get on it (she would fall asleep a lot between rides) and she was in the seat that got water dumped all over her. She was maybe 3 at the time and still talks about it because she was so upset by the whole thing.
My child and I recently left our footprints all over Animal Kingdom. (And I’m still tired from all that walking.) I will admit, I loved Dinosaur! (My kid, not so much.) But if you’re wearing a hat, um ...yeah...you may want to take it off before that ride starts!
Animal Kingdom is only a half day park imho if you don’t take the time to go through all the animal exhibits and trails on the island, and especially in Africa and Asia. Which curiously, I’ve found a lot of people don’t really know too much about 😞 same with the Conservation Station and everything in Rafiki’s My favorite ride at DAK is Everest but that’s probably partly nostalgia since my real fave is DLR’s Matterhorn 🥰. I have yet to ride Flight of Passage though…
The problem is all of the animal attractions close by 4:30, if the park is open another four hours there is literally nothing else to do in it. There is definitely room for a new ride or two to fill things out.
Funny how this video came out. Now Disney has an Animal Kingdom survey for all guest to fill out each attraction from best to worst Sounds like new changes are coming.
Would you recommend this park for a family of 4 2 toddlers my oldest is 5 and my youngest is 2 looking for advice wants to go on as much rides with my children we live 3 hours away and want it to be worth it thanx
I’m not a Star Wars fan, but I love how detailed Galaxies edge is. You really do feel like you’re there. HollyWood studios definitely wins when it comes to detail
We're planning a trip to Disney World and have already paid for flight, hotel, park tickets, etc. Disneyland is closer to us than Disney World, but we thought it would be nice to try the East Coast. But today, I just learned something I somehow missed and I hope DFB Guide can help enlighten others so they don't make the same mistake. And here it is: Disney World parks typically close at 9 PM! And the Animal Kingdom closes at 7 PM. That's nuts! Here on the West coast, Disneyland is open until midnight or later, even on weekdays. I just assumed the folks on the East coast were the same. Over our 2 week stay, we're losing 3 hours or more of prime park time each day, right when the night cools down and the park lights come on... the magic time of night. That's a lot of missed park time! The kids talked me out of canceling our vacation and rebooking everything in Anaheim, California because they really want to see the expanded Harry Potter parts of Universal Orlando. Still, it broke my heart to learn a big chunk of the magic will be gone from our trip for those magical evenings in the park.
There is a way to make up for this - it's not huge, but it's something - if you're staying at a deluxe resort, you can take advantage of Extended Evening Hours - Monday in Epcot, Wednesday in Magic Kingdom.
Wow, yeah. This ride needed something more. A drop down a waterfall section makes a ton of sense. It could have also used some form of narration throughout the ride explaining what you are sailing through like an actual wildlife cruise.
Off to park hopp Holywood Studios then Animal Kingdom tomorrow. In AK need to hit up Dinosaur ride (which was off last week when we were there) and Lion King show which has just came back. Oh and Avatar Flight ride is absolutely amazing!
Hi again. Please note: You are RATING these rides, not RANKING them. You are not declaring one better than the other. You're just rating each one on a 1-10 scale. Rating. Not ranking. Rating.
Everest gets an extra point for its queue alone. Along with Tower of Terror, the detail and pure quantity of content you experience while snaking through the line is the best in all of Disney World. Also, try to get in the very front car. You can see forever at the very top before the reverse section begins, including all the way to Hollywood Studios' ToT.
There is way too much screen action on that ride. Should have been more animatronics, even if they were very simple, it would have been more immersive than the screens playing obvious videos at every turn.
I enjoy these videos, but I am always confused by the use of the term "ranking." There is no ranking happening here. These videos are rating the rides, not ranking them. I am sure this has been pointed out before.
But how do I ride every ride at the end of the day when “the lines die down”? You still have to wait in some line and I can’t do all of them in the last hour
Create video can’t wait to we come over in September do you know when we can book for bibbidi bobbidi boo I know it says early August have you heard of any dates when we can book it for as we are coming over from England thank you would be most appreciated
Yes, Flight of Passage’s 3D is definitely off and the inconsistency of the 3D took me out of the experience. A fun ride but it definitely has room for improvement and unfortunately not the best ride at the resort.
@@violetanderson8106The 3D does get flakey near the end. They need to update that section because it completely takes most people out of the ride. It's an awesome ride, but yes, there is some room for small improvements.
six flags becuase Six Flags Inc. is the world's second largest theme park operator. It is second in size only to Walt Disney. Unlike Disney's parks, Six Flags' parks are meant to be experienced in a single day. The 39 parks are spread throughout the world and each reflects a unique regional personality. Most of Six Flags' customers live within in a 150-mile radius of its parks. Each park offers different themes and attractions. The parks operate on a seasonal basis, usually from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Some parks have longer operating seasons depending on the local climate. The company generates the majority of its revenues during the second and third quarters of each year, which is optimal park season. Attractions include thrill rides, water rides, live entertainment, and concerts.
@@SirAlexTheKnight I’m going 4 days 1 park per day! (1) Animal Kingdom, (2) Epcot, (3) Magic Kingdom, (4) Hollywood Studios! It’s a birthday gift for my friends birthday week. I hope they enjoy it!
i think disney should build a whip ride in primeval whirl's place since i keep reading on youtube that whip rides are seen at traveling fairs like spinners like triceratop spin
Flight of Passage is not only the best ride in Animal Kingdom....in my humble opinion, it is the best ride at WDW....AND it is the best theme park ride I have ever been on in my life (and that includes Rise of the Resistance, which for me was a very close 1a, to FOP's 1)
We visited WDW for the first time ever last summer and Flight of Passage was the first ride we did (Animal Kingdom was our Day 1 park). I was almost in tears after the ride finished because it was so amazing and stunning.
@@emmaskidmore2314 For sure...I have now been on Flight of Passage probably 8 times or so....but I remember walking off it the 1st time, absolutely not believing what I had just experienced!
Rise Of The Resistance is much better than Flight Of Passage (and I think FOP is great). Rise is much more immersive, considering you aren't just stuck in one position looking at a screen. There are multiple real time things taking place around you, state of the art animatronics, fully realized set pieces that you are constantly moving through as the story plays out from the queue line all the way to the end of the ride. It beats Flight by a country mile.
Thank u for this ranking series. As someone who does get motion sickness I know which rides I should probably avoid & which ones I can enjoy without worry
