I find it funny that despite this show only having 26 episodes, I still spent over an hour talking about it. Shows you just how great it really was. Also, there are a few moments in the video where I meant to add some text clarifying things, but because of reasons involving the editor and uploading process (it's complicated) I didn't. So, if I say something that seems inconsistent or lacking clarification, feel free to ask me here and I will answer you.
This show deserved better. It was so amazing how every little detail comes back later on for fans who payed attention Too bad we didn't get a chance to finish the series
From the recent Spectacular Spider-Men comics and the Young Justice revival, it seems like Greg Weisman has lost his edge. If it does come back, he should mostly stick to showrunning and not writing unless we want it to pull a Young Justice and not be as good as the first two seasons.
About the play cutaways in that one episode, that's from A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare. I was in that play, and I actually appreciate how overdramatized the lines are.
This version of Black Cat🦹♀️😈🐈 in The Spectacular Spiderman 🦸♂️🕷🤟🕸 was just straight up gorgeous and good looking 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤😭😭😭😭😭😭.
I like Daran Norris more. He just did it so perfectly. I also love Ed Asner from the 1994 cartoon. J Jonah Jameson has three great actors. That's how well cast he usually is.
The problem with your criticism about the public believing a "known liar" like Mysterio is that the public didn't know that Mysterio is a liar. He was portrayed to the public as a hero from another dimension throughout Far From Home.
But so was Spider-Man, he was even on Iron Man's team in Civil War (the supposedly "law abiding team"). J Jonah Jameson didn't exist in the MCU up to that point, so nobody has a reason to believe Spider-Man would do something evil like Mysterio tries to make out. Also in No Way Home, nobody seems to think Spider-Man is particularly villainous, they even tend to think he is too "good" that it would be unfair to others to give him benefits. That being said, I still think both Far From Home and No Way Home are great, it's just that whole reveal that I think could have been done just slightly better in my opinion, it's close to working for me but has a few holes in my opinion.
My favorite episode is probably the Molten Man episode. It had great animation, a cool reinterpretation of an underused villain that was created by Lee and Ditko. The writing, acting, and drama were all so good. Also, I agree that Kraven isn't good here. I actually did like him, he just got ruined once he became a lion. That's not Kraven. He should've just been given improved strength and speed.
I strongly disagree with your judgement about the 26th place, I actually really like Kraven a lot (I say it as a someone that has only watched the show without looking at the comics) what I LOVE about kraven in this cartoon is that unlike all the other enemies he doesn’t show any weaknesses so the fight was always tense for me since he got transformed until the end, but I surely agree on the climax of the fight being too underwhelming, that’s why I don’t mind him avoiding getting captured, but beside that I really like that episode. The point of Lizz storyline with Flash’s injury was to show that she still had feelings for him and that would explain why her and peter didn’t last long
@@Rockotarthepurplehatguy understandable, it’s a much longer series, with a lot more arcs and plots to cover. It is a personal favorite of mine though, so I love hearing other peoples thoughts on it.
I really appreciate youtube waiting 2 days to tell me this was uploaded. Don't know why it didn't tell me immediately like with any other channel I follow
I will vouch for Accomplices Peter subplot, I found the stuff with Peter helping his co-worker get a big story JJJ was dismissing and the somewhat joke reveal that he's Patch pretty interesting.
Would you be okay with doing one ranking every Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog episode? (Warning: It might take a LONG time since the show has 66 episodes)
Please we have to do something to convince Sony and Marvel to collaborate and produce more seasons of this SPECTACULAR show. Call Greg Weisman and Victor Cook, get the old voice cast together and let’s get to work! 🥹❤️
I posted this in another comment here, but from the recent Spectacular Spider-Men comics and the Young Justice revival, it seems like Greg Weisman has lost his edge. If it does come back, he should mostly stick to showrunning and not writing unless we want it to pull a Young Justice and not be as good as the first two seasons.
I think this shows version of Harry is my favorite version. Such good characters! Who are your favorite characters? (Rockotar and anyone else can answer i am truly curious what fans favorites are? )
After all that happened during the pandemic I could see people blindly believing Jameson. Intervention feels like a Bojack Horseman episode and I wonder if they took inspiration from it.
What I like about the Spectacular version of Sandman is that at the end of the day, what he ultimately wanted was respect, he was just getting it in the wrong way.
I think the cutaways to Peter's high school friends did a good job at humanizing them and making them feel like real people It's low-key reminds me of my former high school friends even though none of us were into sports.
Kraven is a character who I’ve always loved conceptually but I’ve never felt his adaptations ever lived up to the hype. In fact I think this is one of the weaker adaptations in a particularly weak line up (not bad, just not great) That is until Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. I’m not sure if you’ve played that game, but it has in my opinion the best version of the character ever made. Usually my favorite character adaptations are fighting between this show and that game series but in this case it’s no contest.
Yeah, Insomniac knocked it out of the park with their version of Kraven (it’s probably a part of the reason why the third act of that game didn’t gone as well as the first & second).
56:34 omfg yes this part has always annoyed the hell out of me. i thought i was insane because i havnt heard anyone mention this, but i still remember how much that pissed me off watching the movie for the first time. like peter could have disproved this so easily especially considering the clip he showed was fake.
A Spectacular Ranking I think you did all the episodes fair justice for this unfortunate cancelled classic Spidey cartoon keep up the awesome content Rockotar
Another bad thing about Destructive Testing is that Kraven never gets arrested, No one called the police after seeing him trying to kill Spider-Man and literally go around the city with a dangerous animal, Also, When i first saw the episode i thought the way Spidey was gonna defeat him was gonna be tricking Kraven into going through many spiderwebs until it did the "Slingshot effect", That would have honestly been better.
@@Gamegedon.900 It's only delayed because The Clone Wars Series is so long, and thus takes a long time review all episodes and edit the video. It is coming, and once I get past that road block it should be smooth sailing more or less, since that is the longest piece of Star Wars Media in existence.
@@Rockotarthepurplehatguy okay. should have known you were doing the clone wars before reveange of the sith. maybe shrek forever after video after the clone wars?
This was an amazing show that did a spectacular job at flushing out the characters making everyone 3 dimensional people who grew as time went by. I was so disappointed when this show got cancelled, I was at least hoping it would continue on as comic book or something. I wonder what would've happened if the show got to tell its full story.
I like how you said the hospital bill is relatable. Just to point out, some countries like my home have free healthcare. Granted, we don't have as much freedom in Canada as you guys do in the States, but there always seems to be a tradeoff now, isn't there? But from the rest of the things you said were relatable. Yes, the healthcare part may not be valid in some countries, but you got the rest right. Keep up the good work.
I don't have an exact order off the top of my head, but I know I'd personally put the shocker episodes a bit higher and the sinister 6 plots. They're personal favorites of mine.
I've seen about 65% of the 90s show. A couple episodes of Amazing friends. And at least the first 2-3 seasons of Ultimate Spider-Man. And I KNOW all the others, but haven't watched them (like the 60s show, or the 2017 one).
I hope you don't mind a little advertising, but I would like to direct you to a Spider-Man fan film called "A Friend Called Spider-Man", which isn't your average Spider-Man story that's been put to screen, as there's no action. Just Spider-Man saving a girl from suicide. It's very heartwarming and deserves more views
@@kevinjmccloy5865 I took 1 acting class at Sierra College, and the teacher was kinda mid, so I didn't think to much of the whole thing, I mostly enjoyed it because it was a class of wacky individuals, so it was never boring lol
Mary jane Gwen Stacy and liz allan were my favorite characters in the show and i hated when liz and petey break up liz last words to petey was " THAT'S IT PETEY WERE THRU" which to me is just sad 😢 who knows if they are still friends
Opening Night is my favorite episode of the series. It was interesting that Walter Hardy was the one that murdered Uncle Ben in the series and I like that he is atoning for what he did by staying in prison when he had a chance to escape with Felicia.
Well, she wouldn't know that I guess, and it's not like he's going to reveal details about himself and risk his identity. Plus she's the one falling for him more than the other way around. So it's an instance of a character pushing the line without knowing they are, technically it's all fairly innocent to a certain degree, so long as Peter makes sure to say know if she pushes any further than her flirts.
