The hours of forced walking in Shadow puts it in the last spot for me, it was just so frustrating 🥱🤬😡 And we loveee AOD being top 2. It was the first TR game little 12 year old me bought with my own money and the first TR game I beat beginning to end! It has a special place in my heart 🖤
Omg Underworld is great, but I wish I had known that the PS3 version was so much better. I like how tomb raider chronicles is higher(ish) I got chronicles at a time when I became more self aware about games. I played all the originals when I was under 10. By the time revolutions and chronicles came out I was more aware of gaming. If that makes sense. I spent allot of time with it.

Nothing will ever beat the core design games 🙌 LOVE that you've ranked AoD at number 1, too many people overlook the game because of "bad controls" but in all honesty, the controls aren't even that bad 🤣 Also AoD has the best story by far 👏
@@GeekRaider I love your opinion. I will forever defend AOD. Some say that AOD has developed a cult following, and if that's the case, I am the cult leader or at least one of the higher missionaries. I also think that, at least for the PC version, TRAOD SCU makes it really well playable.
For me... Tomb Raider 96, tomb raider 2, rise of the TR, a bunch of others. Bottom has to be Tr4. It's like being tortured. Getting stuck every 2nd puzzle and having no idea where across 4 loading screens you have to go gives me bitter memories. No internet. Just be stuck.
Great video Being a TR2 fanboy t took me a looooong time to give TR4 a proper chance for all the changes it made. -No Lara looking c*nty on the main menu -Ring menus removed -The iconic flares changed to glowsticks -Judith replaced -Lara in pigtails (a bold rebellious 16 y/o Lara in the 80's!? Nah she's rockin' the fiercest Madonna cut you ever bloody saw) But once I finally got over that horrible first impression years later. TR4 amazed me for the absolute masterpiece it is ❤

Absolutely loved the video so funny! The "sadder then a mosquito in a mannequin factory" had me in stitches. I agree totally on 1 is amazin in terms of tombs and feeling lost and alone, but when I played it 3 weeks I enjoyed it but felt so featured with the controls and felt it lacked that cutting edge it's great don't get me wrong just hasn't aged as well as 2 and 3 for me. Chronicles I just haven't played at all the only one I haven't yet I've seen a playthroughs it's so short. I really wish I could play gold of first 3 I don't own any I used to play them on my friend pc till it died to time :( 2 gold was so good too. Angel of darkenss got so much stick but I watch Badassgamez playthough of angel of darkenss and it was so much fun it's made me want to play it! Despite the horrible bits to it when I was younger I gave up on it because of it but I thought baring controls it seemed so good. 2 is by far my favrourite the levels the combat the feeling of it I loved every level and I listen to the soundtrack over and over and also like to stuff like oil rig ambience to relax. Great video! I used to sit and watch my dad play tomb raider when I was a kid and was in such awe 2 was first one I played myself I used to use cheats etc and got stuck on so many levels but when I replayed it in late teens I loved it and I fell in love with 2 all over again so that's why it's my favourite as well

I totally agree with the top 2. Classic lara is the best. To me. AOD has the best storyline and has the prettiest lara. TR2 is by far the best. Locations, gameplay, underwater lara, snow lara, regular lara, blue dress lara ❤. Flawless

What do you mean by being able to reply levels as Classic Lara in "Rise of..."? Like, the same as how you can switch between new and old controls and graphics in the Remasters?

I think that I agree with most of what you had on this list! I mean my favourite game is tr2 and angel of darkness! and my least favourite is tr 2013! expect for tr1 I liked it a lot even though I first played it this year

I grew up with this series. I played all the classics well before any of the reboot trilogy. And yes. Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness I know for some that is sacrilege, but I just don't deny that the Crystal Dynamic games are superior to the Core games. There seems to be an influx of fans lately who have convinced themselves that Angel of Darkness is the best game of the series, and the survivor trilogy are all terrible games. They consistently rank all 3 at the bottom. Along with Underworld for some reason. If you don't like the reboot trilogy, fine. I get it. They are quite different. 2013 especially. It's really dark, really violent, and really brutal. I can understand why some may have not been particularly thrilled with it. But to actually say that Angel of Darkness, that broken, buggy, unfinished, disaster of a game is actually better than not just the reboot trilogy, but also the Legend trilogy and all the classics combined, that is something I just do not and will not understand. Obviously, this stuff is all subjective, and I really try hard to accept all opinions, but I also can't help but feel this is just a group of people trying to be edgy and just hate on new stuff simply because it's not the same as the original. But that's just me. I still love the classic games. Last Revelation especially. If they'd just update the controls, I could see that easily being in my top 3. But Core just didn't innovate enough with their games. All 5 PS1 games were pretty much the exact same. Adding stuff like sprint and crouch are not deep enough improvements to a game that almost immediately fell behind the times. By the time TRIII came out, there was seemless analog control in a decent amount of games. And when games like Last Revelation and Chronicles didn't implement them, it was just unacceptable. And then idk what the heck they were thinking with Angel of Darkness. Yeah, they innovated. But somehow made everything WORSE. Those are just my thoughts, but no one will ever convince me that Core was better for Tomb Raider than Crystal Dynamics. CD's games are just better. Plain and simple.
Her eyebrows in tomb Raider anniversary are reason enough I like the 2013 reboots but I HATE her face. They gave her a soccer mom face - just use Angelina’s face 😂
I really want to play AOD again because of the hub sections but I am really struggling to get to grips with the controls, I generally give up after an hour.

AoD was just flawed because of manuel at the time not telling that the square button is to switch targets and the button layout was a annoying because it wasn't base on the layout of the five original TR games. However I love how darn creepy it was and truly is in 6 place above the legend trilogy and reboot trilogy. Also I won't count golds because if they were already 4k modded it would be in their respected titles. So my top 10 are 1) Tomb Raider II Masterpiece start and finish. 2) Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Love the little designs that flesh out the atmosphere. 3) Tomb Raider III Brutally Difficult if you played the PSX but though I learned about it and found more information that plagued me is the red belly piranhas which literally are invasive to India. 4) Tomb Raider Chronicles Without counting the dumb advertising it has. It literally had stories made up to enhance the story though cheesy at times. 5) Tomb Raider A classic with some weird choices though simply at times a bit forgettable with certain sections. 6) Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness Which I explained above. 7) Tomb Raider Legends Feels a bit there but had a ugly aiming icon that just annoys me and quick time events atrocious. 8) Tomb Raider Anniversary Same with the time button events. Natalia looks ugly instead of beautiful and the absent of the Cowboy really was a bit of a let down. And the Ten Anniversary version was a slight lift but misses it's mark. 9) Tomb Raider Underworld Time button events and cheesy weird porno I can't describe it just at least they made Natalia as a beautiful feminine of a game. No offense. 10) Tomb Raider (2013) Pros - the hunting Cons - everything and the lack of more animals to hunt Should've been called "Tomb Raider Animal Hunting Simulator" Also why I didn't mention the other reboots is because I didn't played them and didn't care because of Tomb Raider (2013).

Perfect choice for Tomb Raider 2 to be Number 1. On the other hand The Last Revelation deserves more love to you. Who wouldn't love Egypt and Angkor Wat. Angel of Darkness is very underrated and deserves more attention.
Jesus another person who played the PS2 version of underworld. You have my empathy. It was horrible. Turned me off of the better PC/PS3 version I played later.
My list: 1. TR The last Revelation - great story, beautiful cutscenes, Lara’s character at its best, beautiful atmosphere and it was my first TR so I‘m biased as hell 2. TR2 - Huge variety in levels, vehicles, great story, love the Maria Doria sections or the floating Islands but Venice is where I fell in love with TR2. Still dreaming of visiting Venice to this day 3. TR3 - great lvl variety, so many different places, cool enemies such as mutants, wild animals, fucking Shiva etc 4. TRLegend - Cool game, love the different outfits for Lara. Story too family centered though 5. TR Anniversary - great customs variety, nice easter eggs in Croft Manor, however too short 6. TR Chronicles - I love Ireland, the submarine section, every location had different playing styles, from running away from monsters to infiltrating a high security skyline. Too short though and buggy 7. TR AoD - So much wasted potential and game breaking bugs. Lara is visually at her best imo. Great variety in opponents 8. TR 2013 - Good game, but it reminds more of a mix of Call of Duty and Uncharted than TR. All you do is kill men and explore an island. No enemy or location variety 9. TR1 - played it for the first time in 2015, didn’t age well imo. Still credits for the level design 10. Rise of the TR - CoD with a random girl next door. Not Lara nor TR 11. Shadow of the TR - Literally a Shadow of the former TR. Lara just can’t stfu crying around, trying to dig into the butts of the Mayas, walking around with those towels looking like a hippie at a 60s John Lenon concert. Jonnah doesn’t belong in TR. Only 3 types of enemies and 1 of them are CoD soldiers. 90% of the time you mass murder ppl or walk through a boring village. They didn’t know where to get with the story. Lame, 0 memorable moments, 0 creativity… Your list is based af though
I feel like my ranking would be really close to yours, give or take a few. I'm 100% on board for #1! I'm constantly re-playing it, and even built a few levels of my own on the TR2 engine, just to see my imagination materialize (they're not bad, they're terrible... I still have a lot to learn). Looking SO forward to the next video, you rock!!

I think in the Top 1 it should be TR3 and TR2. they are both good and I never could separate them. but TR6 AOD is definitely at the bottom of the list. the game is full of Bugs and the gameplay is very bad. I love all TR games but TR6 and TR shadow of TR should be in the bottom
I don't think anyone can deny that this man is the absolute KING of metaphors 😂 also, TR2 is my favorite as well, it's a blast from start to finish and I replay it the most of any of the games! ♡
