I absolutely agree with the fact that Smoky should be on the bottom of the ranking. I’ve spent over 300 hours playing with that turret and got it to Mk8 as of now, and I can say its not the strongest out of all. But thats what makes it fun to play with. The sheer simplicity and versatility of alterations makes this turret amazing with any hull. I can never get bored with Smoky. And on top of that most people don’t use Smoky modules making it a whole lot easier to destroy the haters.
Yeah, honestly it doesn't really matter what turret is the best, as long as you have fun playing (which is the whole point of playing a game in the first place). I actually use smoky protection a decent amount, just because of my low rank. At low ranks smokys are pretty common.
These rankings are pretty accurate but in the end, it all comes down to personal liking. Ur favorite combo/how good you are with each turret. Personally, I love to use fire + hornet or magnum + hornet but I agree magnum can be difficult to use some times. Taspens plz do a hull ranking video next.
I agree with all of these, and I'm happy that you did it without alts or drones bcz not everyone can afford those. By the way, my favorite turrets are shaft and thunder at low ranks, railgun at mid ranks, and idk at high ranks
Yeah, thunder and shaft are definitely good at low ranks, especially when people don't have many supplies. Railgun is not so good at the lowest ranks, but then becomes pretty good once you have enough supplies to really defend yourself. At mid-ranks you can just hardly beat hornet-rail, just because you can one-shot so often.
Thunder is probably my favorite JGR Hunting Turret, paired with viking, with smoky next to it, probably due to their decent crit rate and splash damage, or overall damage.
I have been using smoky for some time now, as a Brigadier I'd say it makes people run. They literally run away. The augments available make it a 1 shot killer.
I would like to propose a new game mode. This will combine all aspects of all existing game modes into one. I hope you guys are excited. The game starts with a Juggernaut, two flags, five control points, and two rugby spots on the map. The goal of the Juggernaut is to capture the flag, take away the points, capture the ball, and above all, destroy enemies. All other players in the game are its enemies, and should stop at nothing to destroy it. If the Juggernaut manages to destroy them each five times, then the game ends and the Juggernaut gets rewarded with 20 containers. If the players manage to destroy the Juggernaut before they die, then the players get 20 containers... each. There is a slight catch to this however. Upon entering battle, the selected Juggernaut will have the option to purchase several enhancements, each for $199 USD (the original price for them was $599, so believe me, you're getting a steal). These enhancements include: -Bouncy Armor: all projectiles (Thunder, Smoky, Vulcan, etc.) will bounce off the Juggernaut's armor, dealing no damage to it. The bounced projectiles may ricochet and hit other nearby players -Tank Freeze: this isn't your normal Freeze turret. Upon destroying an enemy, the Juggernaut will freeze the tank's ruins, trapping the spirit of the tanker inside. The freeze also protects the ruins from decay, meaning that the player will be trapped inside his/her dead tank until the end of time. -Network Interceptor: enhanced bullshittery inside the Juggernaut allows it access to its enemies' computer network. This grants the Juggernaut the ability to crush its foes' lifeline, bringing their FPS down to as low as 3 and making their ping skyrocket. -Assassin Squad: this one is really special, so you're gonna have to pay a higher amount for this one: $999. With this special option, you may call upon the elite of the Russian secret service. Their cutting-edge technology can track the physical locations of your enemies, and a trained hit squad will be dispatched to eliminate them from the game (and in real life, but that's not important at the moment). However, all of these options are available only at a hefty price in real money. But ask yourself, isn't it worth it? Imagine being a Juggernaut rolling through the map, with the ability to crush any free-to-play tankers? Watching your fully micro-upgraded Gauss Mk7 lock onto some poor schmuck whose mom won't let him use her credit card? All of that, just for $48932058 dollars? What a steal! Please consider this proposal, Tanki developer team. At any rate, this idea is no worse than anything that you've done lately.
I used to love thunder and use it as my main cannon but then when protections came out, it was like "well I'm hitting with ice balls" then i moved to a lot of turrets and nowadays I can say that my favorite it's Hammer. Even more with the "dragon's breath" alt. Cause it's an instant damage bonus, that can even steal kills to firebirds and if you time it good, can even make a Vulcan give you it's self destruction as a kill Edit: now that I remember, Thunder was like a lot nerfed, I remember when it used to deal the same damage at large or close rank, kill light hulls in like 2 hits or 3. And now you need to shoot almost face to face to deal damage, risking yourself at the splash damage and even with that update that make the shoot travel inatead of just hitting... It's like tanki totally wanted to get rid of thunder. Same with isida, that in the old times it got this crazy aim and the life stealing and now it's just for being support. I mean, even Smoky has OP alts
I just like using them in their proper niche if I absolutely need to do so. Magnum and Shaft on large maps like Highway, Striker, Vulcan, Twins on medium maps, Ricochet on maps with many tunnels and such, and Freeze and Firebird for up close engagements, Isida if I'm feeling like Medic. Mostly though I run Mammoth Vulcan, with Crysis drone.
I personally feel hammer should be second.I use hammer + dragon breath. It is really good because u can do 1 shot light hulls without double damage. I agree Vulcan is best
Vulcan benefits: 1. Opponent can't heal, because fire is constant and he loose his resource. 2. With heat immunity and modification in which bullets set your opponent on fire... well. But unless I have immunity and this modification I use Striker. I just used to it, I started playing with Vulcan, than I switched to striker. The bad part of Striker is a self damage :/.You have to watch out or be a kamikazze.
I cannot agree more. To be honest, a turret with and without alteration can highly change our gameplay style. I wonder what would be the order of the list if alts for turrets were considered. If yes, how would your list look like?
Yea i agree if u have defend. dron.20/20 protec.15/15 and double armor againts railgun bruh anbeatible. So in ur opinion is good upgrade freeze to 20/20? Cuz i like freeze againts fire u can easily get couple of kills when plp fighting :). I was thinking about upgrated to mk7 20/20. Good video btw :D.
I used to run dictator and vulcan, dictator with heat prot and vulcan with burning once you overheat the gun, and I used to get like 5 kdrs every game. They nerfed it a few years back and haven't used it since
Basically any turret with hornet is good, i mean i got 36 kills and 1 death with xp combo without using repairkits in MM. It all comes down to skill afterall
That is a fact. Railgun is fun to me because you can get such good KDs, without even using many supplies. All you need is pretty much some double powers and some skill at evading the enemy. I only use hornet because of the overdrive, but in my opinion the overdrive makes hornet the best hull in the game. I hate using hulls like Titan and Dictator, because I get bored so quickly. Also, I love railgun at low ranks where there are a lot of noobs that will just run right into your shot. 🤣
I'd put smoky above isida and thunder because: 1) Smoky protection is uncommon, so you can often deal more damage than thunder 2) The burning rounds alteration for smoky makes blocking repair kits really easy and you can kill people even if you're already dead It's a shame that the price of that alteration ^^ has jumped to over 240k because of the new update... Great video by the way :D
I remember when isida was op but it got nerfed few times some of you still remember when you killed enemies with isida you got their health back but now you won't get back sadly
My personal favourite turret is Gauss!!! Although I have 3 problems with it... 1: It's suicide to use it as melee weapon because of it's power!!! 2: It's really annoying if I want to use the Gauss's sniper mode and I can't shoot because something or someone is blocking my target and it takes some time to choose another target!!! 3: Sometimes it's hard to choose the right target in sniper mode...
I think the protection modules kind of ruined the game. It's so annoying when everyone in the battle has thunder protection and that is my most upgraded turret
I used to love vulcan and i used to be a pro at it, but after it got updated , with weird bouncing bullets and reduced fire rate i stopped using vulcan.
I think the vulcan should be somewhere in the middle, cuz to me old vulcan was much better than new vulcan. I would always get at least 13 kills before the vulcan update, but now the most I can do is 7
Apart from railgun my favourite is the gauss. Gauss is not a gun to be fucked with and for that reason the account where I use this gun is named Gausstavo Fring.
my idea: shaft magnum rail hammer gauss firebird freeze striker vulcan rico thunder isida twins smokey. why: 1st: shaft. it has alteration for any type of gameplay and i can 1 shot juggernaut with booster since i got mk7 shaft after the update of mk system at 1 golden star rank. 2nd: magnum. the reinforced rotation system alteration gives a huge advantage if you know how to use it. it can be used to shoot under the bridges on top of it with the gunpowder alteration which is something nothing else can. 3rd: rail. skillful gaming and it is effective with good alteration like scout alteration. 4th: hammer. it can be effective most of places. 5th: gauss. mass killing with no lazer. 6th: i hate it but it is firebird. heat effect is so op specially with hornet. 7th: freeze. freezing effect can help a lot in a lot of modes. 8th: striker. it is an effective mass killer but the lazer can make the game play annoying if you don't use it a lot. 9th: vulcan. it has became op otherwise i won't use it at all. 10th: rico. with minus field it is a good strategical turret. 11th: thunder. it is effective(now with no alteration) with hornet. 12th: isida. good team helper but kd destroyer. i usually don't use it cause i play alone most times. 13th: twins: i hate it. it is an anoyying turret and i won't use it. my main account still has it mk2. 14th: smokey: boring to play and not effective most of the times.
I agree with a lot of this list, but you have to realize that Taspens wasn't counting in alts, because not everyone has alts. I love how you have what are to me the most annoying turrets mostly at the bottom of the list. 😂
i agree about thunder but not about hammer and railgun.if you playing from 2009 you will know what i am saying.railgun always was a monster and it will be forever if admins chnage his damage to smokys damage :D i dont agree bout smoky too thats so good turret
It depends on your strategy. At close range firebird is probably the best, but you can also try using striker to wipe everyone out, then run in and take the gold.
This is my opinion 1. Gauss 2. Freeze 3. Vulcan 4. Railgun 5. Thunder 6. Hammer 7. Fire 8. Ricochet 9. Twins 10. Shaft 11.Striker 12. Magnum 13. Smoky 14. Isida The reason why gauss is my top1 because it has a insane splash damage and doing so much damage
A lot of it depends on your rank and whether or not you have alts. Taspens is probably thinking more of high ranks (like legend accounts). The gameplay is a lot different at low accounts.
Isida beats Freeze in 1vs1 and Firebird as well (even though fire damage still kills Isida after). It also has healing so i would say Isida is the best close range turret, but it's just my opinion. I would say Gauss is 1st even though i HATE that it's first cause i hate Gauss. They obviously overpowered it cause it's new and it's way too OP. it needs to be nerfed. Atleast they should add a laser or something but right now it's the most powerful turret in the game even though it should not be. No hate just stating my opinion :)
@@adz681 actually it's written in Tanki wiki that isida deals the most damage out of 3 per second. But i do agree that Firebird's burning effect kills isida afterwards. Freeze loses to Isida
I agree with you that Gauss needs to be nerfed. It seems like everyone uses it now, and it annoys me so much. I also don't know why Taspens likes freeze so much, because isida deals more damage, and firebird gets you so many kills from afterburn.
