Kurt seemed to look perfect in every moment. Personally, I have to go with the unplugged performance. He was the reason I picked up a guitar and started writing as a kid, just by watching hands, just subscribed. Rest in peace, 30 years ago already. Peace, Love, Empathy.
I agree how could you possibly leave The MTV Unplugged show out he looked killer I'm not gay but I admit I was jealous of his look perfect teeth and bone structure I wanted his look so bad being a guitarist I would look at him and his blue eyes thinking dam what a shame and waste to demolish such a good looking person he could have just about any woman he wanted but chose blah. @@Chapo_2975 I would get the cobain hairstyle if you rly want it, it's all ready long you could cut it, put some pomade or leave-in conditioner in it to give it the "unkempt" look (not hair gel)make sure you wash your hair and shower regularly, kurt apparently was very clean and always smelled good, he just looked grungy through his outfits and his hairstyle. Just my advice, i was rly into the grunge genre for a while and grew out my hair and got chris cornell-esque hair a bit (My hair is wavy/curly) so just my advice to you. Don't be dirty, just look dirty lol. Smelling bad is a good way to make people hate you. I'm sure they have a million articles written up about how to achieve his look, or advice on reddit somewhere lol. If you want to look a way, look that way, always do what you want to do. Also (this is just my opinion) don't emulate kurt cobain, get influenced by him for certain aspects of your "look"(like the hair, maybe some of your fashion) but also put your own spin on it. And he was very outspoken about artists he liked and disliked, ignore all that, that's not relevant to what you like. I think the most important lesson you can learn from that guy is that he did what he wanted, and liked what he liked. Sorry for this long ass response haha.
The fully bleached hair is from April 1992!! The date is unknown, but Wendy had a wedding celebration/ baby shower for Kurt and Courtney when they returned from their wedding in Hawaii :3
Kurt with the Blue Hair was from October 22-25, 1991 and It was that Fake Halloween Hair Dye in a Spray Can ... Because the show on October 25, 1991 Kurts hair was Blue and the next night October 26, 1991 Kurt's hair was back to blonde... Which Blonde during the October 31, 1991 Paramount Show (Just watch the "Lithium" music video as most of that video are clips of the Paramount show).

To each their own I think Kurt rocked every single one of these hairstyles. I get why not everyone digs his Bleach Era look but I personally think it's one of his coolest hairdos (specifically at the May 26th, 1989 show in Auburn, WA.) That's just my opinion as a metalhead, I dig my fellow long haired dudes especially Kurt in his early 20s. It's definitely understandable why he may have cut it short because judging by the looks of it at Rhino Records on June 23rd, 1989, in LA he definitely didn't bother washing it very often, lol. I know what you mean about Kurt's early very long hair. I think the hair itself is gorgeous and am very envious of it; however, I don't think it was the most flattering for him. There is also the short hair he had during the second half of '90. I'm very fond of it, though perhaps that's just because I love the photoshoot of him with the black sharpie-pen eyeliner.
I agree with you, his 1992 looks (red hair and then blonde short hair) are my favorite too. I also have my own picture collection of him and the band with timeline, locations, shows, etc. Kinda obsessed like you lol

I’d say his medium hair in January 1993 when it was dark brown which was #9 and #6 soccer mom Kurt, I think it was his best it was not to long and not to short I love it

What about the shorter style as seen in his 9-23-1990 interview in Tacoma? I think that was his best style. Sometimes he put eyeliner on with it - I dub this the “ prototype blonde highlighted emo hair“.
The paramount show isn’t Kurt’s natural hair though, maybe like at the roots, but his hair is naturally that dark brown you see at the show in São Paulo and in the taser interview.

I watched a video about Courtney saving some of Kurt‘s hair. It was mentioned that she often nagged him to wash his hair. One of the reasons it was always greasy had something to do with some OCD tendencies he had.
Yes! This was so great! I actually really like the famous MTV unplugged bob cut Jesus Angel look. As well as the RED hair and the blue hair and the strawberry hair and the black hair and the short emo hair! Ughhhh I love them all so much! Wish the blue had more photo moments? It’s weird but that’s why it suits him. I mean, it’s seductive in an alien way... It’s too much perfection. Oh also the early Bleach era practically dreads long mane of hair😆. He can do anything. Oh, and brown hair Kurt just does something different, I dunno what it is✨it’s also gorgeous. They are all just really good. But it’s neat to hear other people’s tastes on it and you’re right, the Reading cut is perfect as you say. 💖

Annoyed i've taken the bait, but so be it! I was going to comment that i really don't think fashion and hairstyles were at the top of Kurt's agenda at any point, it's just that at the time all the perfect somethings in the cosmos or the ethers, or something collided to make the music, the human, the look, the everything else at the exact perfect time. Great video. I think Kurt looked great with every hairstyle but I agree, the really long hair didn't really suit as much as the shorter ones. In terms of colour, I think brown and red were great but it all looked good on him. What are your feelings on his passing? A very high percentage of people who have researched his passing properly know that he was taken from us all. Staged.
Courtney did his hair I know sometimes because there is footage of her doing it. She wanted him to wear a mustache at one point and he refused. I think the footage is in Montage Of Heck or Live Tonight Sold Out.
