Wimbledon is owned by their fans, and they deliberately have a two season minimum policy on their club shirts. Don't want to rip off fans every single season. Fair play to them, very honourable.
Does thogden not realise that every team used to “recycle “ their kits for two+ seasons in the noughties but now change it every season for more 💵💵 gg Wimbledon for keeping the kit it’s lovely .
It's pretty much our club constitution.. there's a clause in our founding documents that state we always change shirts every two years. Same with third kits, but with a one year offset (we released a new third a couple days ago)
I love thogden normally but he is biased and always hates kits for being a plain but loves a plain Bolton kit Thogdad actually is honest about it No hate to thogden but is biased
Once upon a time clubs kept the same kit for at least 2 seasons so I actually applaud Wigan, Wycombe and Wimbledon for abiding by this principle. Too many clubs fleecing supporters with overpriced essentially billboard shirts every season.
Thogden. Thogden. AFC Wimbledon, the fans club, each kit last two seasons for value for hard-earned money. They should be applauded. Hard-up single parent mums amd dads around the country would applaud with you.
Thogden and me have completely different minds. Case in point, he thinks AFC Wimbledon deserve to be shamed for sticking with last year’s kit, whereas I think they should be commended. Well done you Dons. - Man United fan
He had the same opinion with Wigan. Bizarre opinion from Thogden tbh. Atleast fans will get to see the kit live this season, whereas last season fans werent there to see it.
@@olliewalton361 Not just that though. Teams like Wigan have money now, but our owners said the reason we kept the same kit was so the fans could see it live as weve not been able to in the past season. I think its a quality gesture from the owners.
With regards to Wimbledon, Wigan and Wycombe, you do realise that prior to around 2006 it was commonplace to have a club change its kits every 2 years or so
The reason Wimbledon do one kit for two years is so that our fans don't have to fork out money on a new kit every year. It's a thing we started as a non league side
Frankly, i'm not interested in football, but i'm tremenously interested in your accent guys. I'm an english leaner, and it's a really great apportunity for me to watch on this outstanding RU-vid in order to improve my accent. Thanks for uploading this video
Lincoln fan here, kit is gorgeous with no sponsor, however we are having 5 different sponsors throughout the season so hopefully we won’t have to see the virgin wines monstrosity for long! Away kit just released and I’m sure you’ll love it
My Number 1 kit is Charlton Athletic, Clean Design and just looks professional. My least favourite kit is the Doncaster rovers kit, not a fan of the stripes, sponsor or make of the kit. Loving the content guys would appreciate the Leeds kit so much as my family have been Leeds fans for generations❤️
My favourite is Bolton, least one is Sunderland. Plus the Ipswich shirt is gorgeous. Middlesbrough play away in Plymouth green, just a little note. Thank you for the video xx
Jake, they are waiting for the kit to arrive from Italy. Held up due to Brexit etc. The chairman mentioned it, in his recent update. For once i dont agree with Theo and Thogdad
Wigan haven’t released a new home kit because our new owners wanted to give back to the fans after 10 months of administration and not being able to watch the games live or seeing last seasons kit in the flesh.
@@philliphowarth1029 i really like it, nice to see a variation but still keeping the traditional red and white, not so keen on the away though i'll admit
Wigan haven’t bothered to design a new one as our owners didn’t want us to spend more money for the new season as we haven’t seen the shirt in the stadium as our owners actually care
Really good comment. All these new tops every year, after these few years, bloody expensive... about time we had a club that thought of its fans!!! Thank you, Wigan! Now I want Wigan to come second. After Crewe.
Best kit: Charlton Athletic FC, nice clean red and white strip - with different shades of red and a nice iconic sword emblem. Worst kit: AFC Wimbledon, just a bit too plain and I’m not a fan. Love your content thogden and thogdad, massive Leeds fan! Have a great day!
Theo saying Wimbledon not putting effort into the kit because we have a two season cycles for kits despite it being a very well thought out kit is baffling to me
I respect that you have 2 season cycles. Like why the hell do fans need to spend 60 quid every year for a slightly altered design. 2 year cycles make it seem more reasonable
@@bjdmcvxd7542 yeah so what we do is home and away one season then next season 3rd and training kits. I feel like it's better for fans as well idk y but we seem like the only club that does it this way
Some different positions in here compared to mine for sure. I think you've missed the point with AFC Wimbledon's kit Theo, they have deliberately not released a new shirt to reward fans that bought a top and didn't get the wear out of it or see their team play in it. A fantastic gesture if you ask me. Bit harsh on the Doncaster kit too, its an absolute beauty imo.
Wigan Fan! The club decided not to bring a new home kit out cause none of the fans got to see the kit in the flesh. Makes perfect sense not that the couldn’t be bothered. Look at the signings we’ve made 🤷🏼♂️
I'd say Plymouth Argyle in 3rd, Ipswich in 2nd and 1st, I like Crewe Alexandria! That kind of pastoral scene with the sponsor, blending with the pattern on the chest? A thing of beauty. Honourable mention to Shrewsbury Town. And a shout to the girl in the Sunderland top! Goodness gracious lol...
Thogdad got it right! Why change the Wigan shirt (bar the sponsors) when you've just survived being bent over by crooks for every penny you have and the fans have never seen used in anger. What they don't make from shirt sales is going into season tickets!
I can just imagine Thogden and Thogdad at an art gallery staring lovingly at a framed Dukla Praha shirt on the wall. Got to say, the new Wanderers shirt is also a work of art!
Hey " Dear divyanka tripathi lookalike " and his dad are one hell of a rocking pair of football aficionados , I absolutely adore your bonding , man you guys simply live football , so I will be really regular on your channel and looking forward to see you guys in Qatar.🤗👍
