They didn't have it at a bad spot, it's just that they went into deep explanations and praised like almost every album. But just said Devine Feminine and moved on without really saying anything about it
Mac was an artist who towards the later end of his career was consistently putting out albums with identity and purpose. Both swimming and circles are albums that are so engaging because they completely bring you into their worlds, whether it’s the fantastic production or the great songwriting and subject matter. As the years have passed it’s becoming more and more of a rarity of artists that truly know how to create an album experience. Mac truly understood that and it’s a shame we lost him so young because his artistic vision was only getting stronger. Rest in peace. Stay safe yall
Divine Feminine at 8 makes me very sad. The elements of jazz and soul were amazing and it felt like his happiest project. With that said, for this album to be so low on their rankings and still get praise speaks volume on his entire discography.

I got GO:OD AM at 1 and I wish it got more respect. It has every type of Mac you could want. Introspection, psychedelic, cloud, bars, love, and any other genre Mac touched. I know it’s not as cohesive as a Swimming, Circles, or even Faces. I just think it gets overlooked by a lot of people.

My top three is Swimming, Circles & The Divine Feminine, so I'm same way. I also like chill-Mac a lot better than banger-Mac. He just had a great ear for soul, jazz and r'n'b type of stuff.

Everytime. By the End of Ascension, I’m wiping tears off my face. I used to play it all the time back in my junior year of high school. Smoking weed, partying with my friends every weekend. Then you graduate, some of your friends die. You’re still partying because now it’s a problem… that song was never personal until life pulled that veil from my eyes. Mac forever💙
It’s so crazy! Cuz blue slide park was my introduction to Mac Miller and is still in my top 3. It floats between KIDS, watching movies, and BSP. I know his latter albums are way more creative and his progression was amazing but those 3 are my favourites and I play them the most.
I personally rank his music in reverse chronological order bc I don't think he ever stopped getting better. I'd put KIDS over BDE and Blue Slide Park though.
Honestly prefer Faces & Circles over Swimming, Quite a bit actually. Never really understood what makes people say Swimming is so amazing, It has some great tracks but IMO there's multiple snoozers on there as well.

Solid list, think Divine Feminine and GOOD AM are way too low personally, but understand nostalgia for Mac in particular plays a big role for enjoyment in some of his earlier albums

Songs like objects in the mirror, i am who i am, im not real , red dot , aquarium, someone like you. either way to each there own yk, def recommend giving it a second chance it will most definitely grow on you.
For GO:OD AM I really enjoy a lot of the unreleased songs form the recording sessions that I think could have been better on the album (Pet Sounds, 6:30, Cablebox, and definitely Look At You feat Earl). But still GO:OD AM is one of my favorites.
Just imagine how the trilogy would’ve ended if ‚till infinity would’ve been made man. I will forever remember listening to swimming on release day at the beach and I will forever listening to mac for the first time in high school 💐

I forgot who it was but I saw someone who was close to mac say that if mac didn’t pass away that circles probably wouldn’t have dropped because every time he released an album mac would be working on other albums right around the same time that didn’t come out, like how he made 10 separate albums during the making of GOOD AM

Party on fifth Ave is one of my favorite songs of his. I know everyone likes the deeper later stuff more but I prefer the bangers more lol I listen to blue slide park, kids, and best day ever way more .
