Permutations and Combinations: Exam questions on this SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! (Flashbacks to AS Further Stats where we worked out that there were 1.5 circular arrangements 😬) Simple Harmonic Motion: Horizontal Lines: AMAZING Vertical Lines: NO. STOP. I CAN'T. SHOHLD NOT EXIST

@@wingpandora6381 na like in SHM when the particle is travelling horizontally, that's all good, but see when that particle starts travelling vertically... NOPE I'm out. Asymptotes aren't too bad, it's just "can it exist in this place"

Nice video :) For the parametric question, using c=cosθ and s= sinθ, and given that x=2s+c, y=2s-c, we have x+y=4s and x-y=2c. (2(x-y))²+(x+y)² = (4c)²+(4s)² =16, which simplifies to 5x²-6xy+5y²=16.

Great video, but imo you should do this as you go along in your maths degree. Would like to hear where you think about PDEs, Nonlinear Analysis, Group Theory and Differential Geometry for example

I don’t know if you’ve answered the parametric question, but to answer it, you could just substitute the parametrisation of x and y into the curve equation and expand brackets and work with the algebra and the identity to eventually get a value (turns out C = 16), and so the parametrisation works since it satisfies the curve equation. If you did work it out, then I guess I’ve got some good practice in lol
